Great hotel close to Excel
Delightful hotel!
We booked 2 rooms one had a tv that didn’t work and both were very cold due to a draft coming in through a wall vent. Rooms were tired but clean
Good for Excel
Nice hotel, friendly staff, good for staying when going to the Excel
It was a very beautiful experience. Lovely staff and views. Definitely coming back again
Convenient and reasonably priced
A great hotel if visiting the Excel Centre. Easy to get to on the Elizabeth line. We stayed for 1 night when we attended the London International Horse Show. They dont offer room service but you can order food at the bar and take it up to your room which we did and found it reasonably priced. Easy to check in and out. This is the 2nd time we have stayed there and no doubt we will be back again next year for the Horse Show
We will be staying here again
Good only for the Location to the Excel
Delayed check in even though we arrived 2 hours after the stated check in. And breakfast not set up for a full hotel, people constantly looking for cutlery and food running out.
Not comfortable at all
Bed was not comfortable and had hairs in it, bathroom had bits by the shower, there was no bedside cabinet on one side. Room 227 had single bed as well, which was very close to double bed with leather type material hanging on the floor.. would not stay at an IBis hotel again shower was good
The room was ok as we used it for a base to visit the London International Horseshow. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was ok, but the sink has an awful drain smell when you used the tap. The television didn't work as didn't have a signal. We wasn't really bothered by this as we just wanted to listen to music so we used our phones instead. The breakfast was very nice but the service slow when they ran out of items. They didn't have any skinny milk, as I can't have full fat, so just had black coffee. Very convenient for the Excel centre and close to custom house/Elizabeth line.
Great place to stay if your going to the Excel
Great for ExCel
Super convenient to ExCel and the cable car. Clean rooms, great breakfast and plenty places to walk/run.
Bathroom door
The only thing I didn't like was the bathroom door didnt have a lock on or a propa handle.
Great and cheap business hotel.
Was really nice , clean and confortable. Planes can be noisy.. and people in the hallway can be hear but nothing to disturb that much.
Poor cancelation service
no allowance for early cancelation, even for a week ahead due to a funeral.
I only had a one-night stay, but it was excellent overall. The room was bigger than I had expected - I've paid more for less space in London many times - and very comfortable, and had a nice view towards Canary Wharf; I was impressed. The location is extremely convenient for the Excel centre, although my friend and I were going to the o2, which was a bit more of a journey (either cable car - which was unfortunately too busy for us to wait for - or DLR/tube) but not too bad. Cleanliness was pretty much fine, although there were some stains on the bathroom floor which I think must have just 'soaked in', and the showerhead railing was loose but managed to hold on! Every member of staff I spoke to was lovely. A very pleasant stay overall which I'd recommend to anyone looking for something in the area.
The location of the hotel was very convenient as we had to a concert to attend too and it’s right next to the excel. The walk around the river is also very pleasant
Liked it
Enjoyed the stay
Great stay and i had a note saying I was guest of the day, with some cookies, which made me smile. Room was comfortable and had wverything we needed for a short stay, would recommend and stay again
Dark Dingy Rooms in a business / conference area. 200 light switches, but the rooms are poorly lit and certainly done towards controlling costs. A few members of the front desk are excellent and some are slow, not helpful and ok with lineups
no fridge in room , when arrived after calling on the phone said i could book for early check in and pay extra 20£ when got there rooms were not ready so couldn't even check in early , bed was very uncomfortable not the softest mattress topper
the hotel was nice and welcoming, unfortunately the door into the room was not very soundproof, and was woken up by very noisy group going into their rooms on the same corridor at 4.30am
Excellent service and great location
Great location
The hotel was perfect location for our visit. Checkin wasn’t great as card machines wouldn’t work so I had to transfer money therefore not receiving benefits!
Good location, bed was uncomfortable.
Nice property
Perfect for a London visit
Hotel was well located with friendly staff and we had a room with a river view
Really nice hotel, very clean, very helpful staff.
Customer Service
Recntly stayed for work at the Excel, the hotel is extremely convenient for the Excel. The staff were very friendly. Stand out was Theo who could not be more helpful or accomodating to all our needs.
Hotel was exactly what we needed, in the right location at the right price.
Clean, comfortable, good value. Highly recommended
Great location for Excel and O2 arena. Check in quick and easy. Room on top floor (8) was quiet with a great view over the Thames. Tube stop less than 5 minutes walk away, cable car station 2 minutes walk. Room small but clean and comfortable. Nespresso machine with coffee pods, bathrobes, hair dryer, iron. Shower hot and powerful. No noise at all over night. Staff helpful. Will definitely return.
Perfect affordable stay for a concert at the o2. Very lovely team and room was clean and cosy. Will stay there again.
Friendly professional staff clean tidy and close to transport and entertainment
Great stay
Clean, close to Elizabeth line and Excel
Great for a visit to an event at the O2.
Convenient, clean and friendly
Excellent value for money for an overnight stay
Excellent location
Room was nice, clean and comfortable. Food was good ( we had a mid afternoon meal as well as breakfast in the morning ). Staff were really good and location and views were great. Only tiny, tiny negative was the pillows but that’s all.
Lovely location overlooking the Thames, with lovely views of O2. Right next door to London ExCel and a few minutes walk to Cable car. Lovely location.
Over night stay
We stayed over as attended the o2 for a concert
Basic room but decent size. Good WiFi. Nice to have an iron and ironing board already in the room. Good sound proofing impressed with doors shutting quietly and not slamming. Price was reasonable compared to other hotels in the area as we were attending a convention and spent 3 nights.
Good points: Polite staff, good a/c in the room, food at breakfast was good Bad points: Excriment still on toilet from previous guest, bed was two singles joined together badly and was very uncomfortable, room full of marks and dings Overall not the best and lacks attention to detail - I mean a dirty toilet is the last thing you would expect to find!
Staff were super helpful at all times.
Good value,lovely staff & clean & comfortable.
The property was close by to where I needed to be
Good
Brilliant hotel at a great price. Really convenient for the Excel Centre and Custom House tube station Shamima checked us in and was really friendly and helpful. The place was clean and tidy, rooms nice, beds comfy, blinds made the room dark, great shower and the buffet breakfast was also very good. I stay in a lot of hotels in London at around this range (price wise), and this was much better than the rest. Will deffo stay again if in the area
Convenient location
Weekend stay for a convention at excel. Very convenient 3 minute walk and the same to the Elizabeth line. We were upgraded to a river view. Staff were very friendly and we were able to leave our luggage to collect later after check out.
We were a group of Six.. We watched peter Kay @ the 02..! 10th August..2024.. Which was an amazing experience. The Ibis Hotel is situated close enough for good access to the stadium..! Although we cheated and used the cable car.! Which was great fun, and for the return as the underground was really busy on exiting the 02..
Great location for ExCel arena Tv didn’t work in room and reported 3 times but never got fixed or any reason given during the 3 night stay
Easy access to the Excel Centre. Ideal location .
Average
Room was clean. Convenient for travel to central London and the Excel. Poor choice of food for dinner and poor dinner service
Great
Nice hotel the water faucet in the bathroom Needs some work as the smells is not the best but other than that great place to stay.
Efficient booking in. Comfortable large bed. Good shower. It ticked all my boxes for a weekend trip
Friendly staff. Clean room. Liked the key cards that were cardboard. It would of been good to have a coffee machine like my friend had in there room.
Goid value for money and a great breakfast .
Was an overall good one, but could do with a fridge in the room at least
Located right next to the Elizabeth line so transportation is easy. It takes about 30 minutes to get to central London areas like St Pancras. There are a few restaurants and convenience stores in the area. Rooms are spacious and are cleaned every day.
Nice hotel. Nothing fancy. Room was small but clean. Area was nice but a bit out of the way if you are looking to take in attractions other the O2 arena
Easy cable car ride to the O2
Excellent.
Great location for going to the O2 arena
Can hear house keeping through doors early hours
Rooms were nice and airy plenty plug points. Comfortable beds nice area friendly and helpful staff. The only thing was early 8am Sunday morning house keeping talking where very loud that woke me up and then 9:15am a house keeper walked in while my friend was sleeping and I heard her from the bathroom apologising before leaving considering that our checkout is 12pm. The mornings are critical hours where rest is important to start your day. That really spoilt or 1 night stop over. Everything else was great.
It was a great stay
So so
Check in staff were very friendly and helpful There is no restaurant so to speak, so you end up eating on the bar area. The bar staff were not so friendly, as check in staff, but nice enough. Food was ok Room was ok, but bed was quite comfy
Good value
Good value and great location for London Excel
The bed smelt funny and the towels had old stains on them. Not a lot of attention to detail there was also a stain on the floor. The view from the window just looked directly into another high rise building. Would not visit again.
We stayed as we had an event at the O2. This hotel had everything we needed. Check in was quick and easy. Friendly staff. Lovely clean room. Good location.
the room was too small
This hotel was great value for money. The beds were comfortable and so were the pillows which I find it very rare for most hotels! I never sleep properly in hotels but I slept great here. It was very quiet, clean although the floor was quite dirty in the bathroom, I would definitely stay again. Very convenient location, we got the cable cars for an event at the o2 and it was so easy. Thank you for a lovely stay! I definitely recommend this hotel.
Easy check in, staff were lovely. Room was nice and clean, but very noisy… sounded like rushing water quite often through the night. Perhaps from a flushing toilet, not terrible but enough to wake you up. Overall good
The Ibis was so convenient to the ExCel Centre that made it awesome. I think the rooms could have a little more storage (at least a couple of drawers so that clothes are laying on the desk or side table. The bathrooms - though small - were very clean.
Had a great 1 night stay for a gig at the O2. Our room was clean, bed was comfy and room was really quiet. Nice area as well, definitely recommend.
Surrounding very good
Absolute wonderful property, super friendly staff, very close to Custom House Station and Excel London! Highly recommend!
The hotel is well located . Easy access to transportation and quiet at night.
Great London hotel
Great one night stay at this hotel for an event at the O2 Arena. Excellent transport connections by rail, tube or the cable car. Hotel was perfect for what we wanted, check in easy, good view, room clean and tea/coffee making facilities. Sister hotel next door with use of their bar and terrace offering stunning views over docks and O2 and Canary Wharf. Nice area surrounding hotel, away from the hustle and bustle and felt nice and relaxed. Will definitely be returning.
Booked this hotel to go to a show at the O2. No complaints at all but perhaps breakfast could be run more efficiently as food, cutlery and plates were not replenished promptly and only one member of staff managing a heaving bar on a Saturday night. I have to say he coped very well but it would have helped if he had more support.
Great location and good value for money
Good location
Good location and easy access to Central London via Elizabeth Line. Friendly staff and nice hotel.
Service with a smile
Room not ready when we arrived at 4 pm Offered free drinks in the bar , thank you Woke to no electricity on our side of the hotel, immediate response quickly sorted Manager organised coffee for us ( my main concern) Great customer service which you only find out about when little things go wrong
Walking distance from Excel
Very good! Staff very much reliable!
Excellent location, train station it’s just at the door steps, friendly staff, just one thing, on the second day my room was cleaned only after 5 pm.
Enjoyable
Location was good for O2 and Excel centre. Room was okay, very basic but ok for one night. However, staff let themselves into our room after we had checked in, when my partner went to ask reception what happened we weren’t offered any explanation?…
Handy
Issue with initial room given, but sorted easily.
Was able to checkin slightly earlier, which was nice. Upon entering the room, there was a faint smell of cigarette smoke. The windown in the bedroom was open, so i thought the smell was coming from outside. I then opened the bathroom door and it absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke. I went down to reception who were quick to respond and came to the room to check then issue. They agreed it smelled, and were happy to change my room to a fresh one straight away. The issue I have is that the smell was obvious, and the room had been cleaned by house keeping so I'm surprised it wasnt picked up by them and reported.
Guest are noise, running around the corridor arguing and swearing at each other, banging doors. Too expensive for what you are getting. Rooms are not even that nice for the price.
Clean ans comfortable
Very easy accessor underground system. Friendly and welcoming
Did not feel the staff cared about their job.
decent
Beds were a small, we had twin beds and I felt they were a little narrow and not too comfortable
Won't be staying again
The hotel room was satisfactory for the night however the bathroom tap was emitting water which stank of rotten eggs and therefore we decided against showering as after using the tap water to wash my make up off the night before, my eyes became red, sore and constantly tearing up. The source of the rotten egg smell is likely to be hydrogen sulphide gas within in the water source which can occur naturally or from a contaminant such as sewage. After discovering this, we made sure to inform the front desk of the hotel who noted down the room number and gave me a business card to lodge a complaint which I've yet to hear back from. I'm disappointed that I paid nearly £90 for a room which smelt constantly like rotten eggs and couldn't shower after a gig at the O2 the night before.
Lovely, clean hotel. Couldn’t fault it and we would stay again. Great location to get around London as there is a DLR station just a 10 minute walk away and perfect if you need to get to the 02 just over the water. Very convenient for what we needed. The staff were polite. I would recommend this hotel.

Great location, great value
Great location and room was lovely. There were a few wear and tear marks on the carpet, but it was clean. We had a twin room and the beds were comfy, there were clean towels and tea/coffee facilities. The bathroom, although small, was clean and practical, the only thing was as the shower screen doesn't go right down to the floor, so the bathroom floor got quite wet when we used the shower. I would definitely recommend this as somewhere to stay if visiting central London.
