Absolutely great
Really perfect in all respects. Amazing value. Comfy room and fabulous breakfasts
It is with great regret that I need to write this negative review. I had 4 prior stays that were great. This time there was no heat; when I asked about it they first told me that they would call maintenance. After an hour I asked again and they told me it would turn on automatically. After another hour I asked again and the desk agent simply ignored me. Further, on a Wednesday, there was a live, loud band playing outside the hotel. I finally gave up, got my things and left. Horrible experience.
Location
Perfect location, but Parking is not available...
This hotel is very well located in Jerusalem Center. Rooms are clean but we receive a room with no view...so very dark. Big issue : Parking ! We booked this hotel to have access to the parking, but when we arrived, the concierge told us that it was full, and no alternative than going to public parking which were very expensive. Good breakfast
For starters the address is in Jerusalem, the location defaults to Be'er Sheva; I assume that is an Expedia algorithm issue. Metro line from railroad station to front of hotel! Great rooms. Clean lobby. Wonderful breakfast and service; a fantastic staff that makes you feel welcomed. Front desk staff is wonderful and very responsive to guests' needs. Money exchange, local dining, chain restaurants literally 100 feet away. I will be returning here on my next trip.
Fantastic location. Good value. Wonderful breakfast. Helpful staff
City center under construction
Renovations and loud construction projects just out side the hotel.
best value for money
Excellent hotel. One of the best options in Jerusalem at an affordable price. The staff is very friendly, especially John, who is responsible for breakfast. The location is perfect. Opposite Ben Yehuda St. and just 20 minutes walk from the Kotel
Highly recommended
We had an excellent stay. It is a new boutique hotel which was very clean. Special thanks to Efrat at the front desk and John in the restaurant for excellent and friendly service.
Great location, decent breakfast buffet, No gym
Great breakfast
Hotel is very comfortable and well located. Anton from the reception was amazing, very cordial and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.
Great experience.
No complaints. All employees were helpful, breakfast was great, room was clean and comfortable. Great location close to places to eat and easy access to the old town. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
There was construction work that started at 7am in the morning.
The hotel is excellent and the staff are amazing and John at the breakfast center was great giving us lots of information about Jerusalem.im so happy to be able to experience such a great service from all the employees at Ibbis Center Hotel.Highly recommended great service and very friendly staff.
Great place to stay if you want to visit the old city. Location is ideal and nice areas around.
Great choice near Old City
Convenient location about a 10-minute walk to the Old City and a five-minute (or less) walk to the Jaffa-Center tram stop. The breakfast was an extremely extensive buffet, quite amazing. Cafes and bakeries and other restaurants nearby also add to the appeal. I would happily stay here again.
Found IBIS Jerusalem City centre after a lot of research. The rooms are basic with a euro flair. The pictures shown on the website are accurate. They cater to younger and older guests. Our room could host 4 people. It was clean, beds are comfortable along with a strong ac. That’s most important. The hotel is located in a prime area in Jerusalem with plenty of restaurants and shops around it. The local tram stops near should you wish to take the train from Tel Aviv airport to Jerusalem. The morning breakfast is phenomenal and worth its price. This is an Israeli breakfast versus an American style. So many selections to choose from. All employees here were very accommodating and a special shout out to Anton! I highly recommend this hotel.
Very central location and nice small rooms.
This was the perfect place for us. Everything is walking distance including the tram. Police and soldiers everywhere. We felt safe walking at 3 am. The breakfast was excellent and had a large variety. I booked the room with the breakfast. Saved a lot of money. Clean and comfortable.
Convenient to the gates of the Old City and Dining restaurants !!!!!
Large room, excellent location, very good breakfast!
Great location and good hotel
Hotel is in a great location, staff was very helpful and breakfast was really good If you get a double bed bear in mind beds are very small and rather hard. The room is also on the small side, but for us it was perfect We could hear the music from the street but it was not that loud.
Will return.
Front Person was very kind
Basically good, does what it says on the tin.
We were staying at this property for 3 nights. The bathroom door was broken and they couldn't fixe it. The soap dispenser fell off the wall and it is probably still laying on the bathroom floor. The reception sent maintenance guys but the are not capable of handling basic repairs. Location of the property is amazing!
This was third stay at this hotel and I find it absolutely fine. However, the one thing I find hard to accept is the unacceptable price charged for breakfast. 83 shekels, which is approximately £19. On my first morning I had a bowl of cereal, two croissant’s, a glass of orange juice and a cup of coffee. To charge 83 shekels for that is outrageous. For the rest of my stay I found a very good and reasonable priced coffee shop a short walk from the ibis hotel.
I really enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. Jon was great in helping us out for breakfast in the morning. We enjoyed a nice chat with him everyday we were there.
Location and value cannot be beat
If you want a prime locale at a reasonable price, this Ibis is it! Jerusalem hotels can be very overpriced which makes this Ibis even more of a value. Be sure to find the Pergamon restaurant nearby.
Fantastic all around
Great location close to the Jaffa Gate, the tram and the new city restaurants and shopping areas. John was superb and provided quite a wonderful way to start the day at breakfast, where one will find a truly amazing assortment of Mediterranean style food. Room was well appointed with tea kettle and refreshing. Super clean. Friendly staff. Would recommend and return again.
This property was great! The location, staff, food, and rooms were great. In seconds you’re in the middle of cafe’s, restaurants, and shops. Minutes walk from old town. The only downsides were that our television did not function properly. We told staff and there was not much help provided in fixing the issue. Every 3-5 minutes the tv would switch off or go mute with the only resolution to switch off the tv, turn it back on, and go back to the channel you’re watching. We didn’t plan on watching too much of the tv, however there were movie channels which we did watch on some late nights. Secondly, the rooms get a little warm. this is easily fixed by opening the window. The temperature outside while we were staying was perfect. This is the third issue, the noise. Being city center, the only real issue is that it’s quite noisy. Aside from Shabbat, most evenings were loud. Having the window open for cool air only made the sound worse. for me, I slept with airpods in with the noise canceling on to help drown it out. So, if you’re looking for a hotel with great location, access, and staff, this is your choice. however be prepared to watch netflix if you’d like to watch something, open the window cause it’s hot, and sleep heavy because of some noise.
Really great breakfast! Best In Jerusalem!! Basic, comfortable and clean room. Toilet was a little dirt on arrival. But 4 nights comfortably slept.
We had a wonderful relaxed stay and the staff was very friendly and helpful
Location is good. Easily assessable to the old city and bars and restaurants.
Nice hotel.
Staff was soooooo helpful
We spent a 5-day family vacation at this property. We enjoyed its convenient location next to lots of amazing cafes and restaurants and vicinity to Old Town (15 min walk or very brief tram ride). The hotel and area around the hotel are very clean, safe, and accessible for individuals with mobility issues. The staff was always helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay at this property again.
Thank you to all the staff at the Hotel especially John he made every breakfast delightful.
Excellent hotel, excellent position right in the city centre, close to the tram and restaurants. My third time there and would definitely book again.
Clean and comfortable rooms. Staff very accommodating (except the bar tender). Location is amazing.
The website indicated that there was parking at the facility but, there was not parking at the facilities or near by.
The amenities and services provided are what you would expect from a chain hotel at this price point. I found the staff very pleasant and breakfast manager was very friendly and helped me correct an issue where I had not originally elected to include breakfast as part of my stay. This may be a little thing but small details matter to guests and this was done with friendliness. The hotel is well positioned just off Jaffa street so everything you could want is easy to walk to and Jaffa gate to the old city is maybe a leisurely stroll of 15 mins away. The only negative thing is there is at least one bar that stays open very late into the early morning that seemed to be very popular and thus created noise during sleep. As the bar isn’t connected to the hotel, it isn’t the hotel’s fault, but you may want to request a higher floor. I was on the 3rd floor and it was very easy to hear the patrons of the bar/nightclub. Nonetheless I would consider staying here again for the overall location and value.
Truly central
This comfortable medium price hotel has a second-to-none location. You practically fall out of bed in Zion square with all the night life, jaffa street trams and all you need. Reception staff can't do enough to please you.
The staff were very helpful and happy to assist with any question. Very pleasant and ready to serve travelers. the only downgrade is due to the tv not working.
Late check-in was smooth and john took very good care of me at breakfast. Thank you!
Good hotel
It's our second time in this hotel. The location is the main reason. It is well located, just 10-20 minutes walking distance from all the best places to go in Jerusalem. It is right in the middle of Zion Square- a beautiful area full of shops, Cafe and restaurant. The hotel is clean, the rooms are small but you would want to be out all the time to feel the atmosphere so, it doesn't make much difference..the only downside for me was that some of the reception representatives weren't so nice. We said good morning and good evening several times, and didn't get any answer. Maybe because we are Jewish and they are Arabs, maybe not...but it made me feel unwelcomed. The other hotel team were very nice and very helpful - the manager of the dining room and the cleaning lady on floor number 6. The food was good, not many dishes to choose from, but it was fresh, and tasty. Overall, it was a good stay, and I'll recommend it to everyone.
Ir was horrible
Great location, very comfortable room. Air con wires beautifully once we got it running.
Very good staff, helpful. English spoken.
Outrageous overpriced breakfast. 340 shekels, approximately £86 for four breakfasts. That’s over the equivalent of £21 for what in my case, was a bowl of cereal, two croissants, a glass of orange juice and a small cappuccino coffee.
Excellent location, central and close to everything. Good value for what we paid. Iron in the room would have been helpful.
well located, parking was a bit tricky and expensive, as everything is in jerusalem
Great, great location - few seconds walk off Jaffa Street and within easy walk of Ben Yehudah and Machane Yehudah (for hundreds of cafes/ restaurants and shops) and 12 mins walk to Jaffa Gate of Old City. Very near to tram and bus stops and hotel will call taxis for you. Breakfast is kosher and a traditional Israeli-style breakfast - very, very plentiful buffet style and tasty with hot drinks, juices, water, multiple soft and hard cheeses, egg options, bowls of cut salad veg, cut and whole fruit, halva, multiple breads and spreads, croissants, olives, halva and more, which will keep you filled up until lunchtime and beyond. Staff refill everything on a regular basis and are very attentive. Room and bathroom (shower only) we’re really clean. Flat screen TV (movie channels are in English, which suited us). Kettle, cups, coffee, tea and coffee creamer. Desk/ dressing table with chair. Small hanging area (approx 6 hangers). Mini safe. Free wifi in room and throughout hotel. Lobby to sit in and coffee lounge as well as the breakfast area. Small synagogue (fits approx 16 people). Staff at breakfast and front desk are friendly (only found one who couldn’t talk/ joke with us as well but he had less good English than the rest) and helpful. Really perfect hotel for a stay of a number of days (we were staying 4) or a week.
Great location. Everything great. Glad I found this hotel chain!
Good value and great location
Good value and great location. Food just outside the front door. (ok , less than 1/2 block.) Convenient to walking to the Old City of Jerusalem.
Room was OK. I wish the staff at the Reception knew how to smile.
The hotel was clean, and convenient to transportation and restaurants. The staff was friendly and very helpful.
Great hotel and great location
Service excellent Warm welcome and efficient reception Oustanding service at breakfast by all. John went out of his way to check all was well and bring us a supply of coffee. Breakfast extensive and good. Room average. Comfortable bed. Very noisy fridge. Bathroom shower head didn’t fit into holder and generally outside shower tray needed tidying up. Hotel good position but a bit Noisy Outstanding service made all worthwhile
Great breakfast buffet, facility very clean, staff friendly and helpful.
BIG DISAPPOINTMENT
We had a bad experience with breakfast. We take IBIS because is international brand hotel and we want to avoid the israelian kosher hotel. Bad... BIG BAD SURPRISE : IBIS is kosher. Nowhere was written about this. Was not allowed to have warm milk for children. Was not allowed to have any normal food for my family BIG DISAPPOINTMENT Only a good old waiter, John, make my mornings
Great hotel, great lication
Great location.
Terribly rowdiness and noise throughout stay including all night. Sleep was impossible. Service terrible. Appliances did not work and television would not turn off in the room. After over an hour of waiting at night security had to turn the fuse box off in order to shut it down. Parts of the wall lay strewn on the carpet, despite the room being cleaned? No housekeeping.
Ibis is not the luxury hotel, so dont expect it. However, it offers clean environment, in the heart of the city, close to everything at a modest price. When ordering online, check out breakfast option ($13 if you do it through expedia, it is 100 NIS at the property). You will have a buffet to try out most of the local food. It will easily pay off with just coffee and cheese, and you still have plenty of salads, hummus, baba ganoush and other stuff to try. Nothing outstanding, but you better try those things before figuring out what you want to eat in the city from the top places. Hotel stuff is very helpful and is ready to help. Internet connection is strong, so you can rely on it.
Pleasent experience we enjoyed staying there
Good hotel in a great location
a one night couples retreat Good - Perfect location, friendly staff, clean Bad - parking - The hotel has none, and also no agreements with local parking providers (Outragingly expensive - ~200 NIS/day)
Ok Hotel in excellent location
Hotel location is close to the old town. Rooms décor is mass production type I stayed multiple times in this hotel and when ever I will visit Jerusalem I will stay here due to the location
Hotel was nice ad clean, great location and very fair price (sleep only). Big disadvantage is parking, we paid a fortune
Great location, fair price, clean, helpful staff. Breakfast needs a bit of an upgrade.
Disappointing, not worth the price
The room was rather small, the mattress too soft and the sheet wasn't properly tied, so we found ourselves sleeping directly on the mattress. There were only two large towels on our arrival, and the crew was less than polite.
אחלה מלון
אחלה מלון. חדר לא גדול אבל לזוג + ילד היה נחמד מאוד. ארוחת בוקר טובה מאוד. מיקום המלון מצויין והצוות היה אדיב
The room was nice and clean. No parking at the hotel should look for parking in the hotel area or on nearby streets. Good breakfast. The problem was with the air conditioning. It was hot at night and when we turned on the air conditioner, it was set for heating. When we asked at reception for a change to cooling, I was told that the air conditioning is currently only for heating and it is not possible to change it to a particular room. We had to open a window to cool down and there was noise from outside ... Even in the morning when I complained again, I was told the same thing, that there was nothing to do
מיקום מושלם
מיקום מושלם !!!! תמורה מצוינת למחיר ☺️
Clean comfort great location.
Was very nice, rooms a bit small. It was not clear why I had to pay another 50 NIS VAT if I had already paid with you.
Best service I had
Although struggeling with new COVID19 regulations - the hotel done everything to make it go smooth and pleasent. A place who doesn't blame others for the condition but takes whatever it takes to be great host is an A+++ hotel.
Intended for sleep only.
no parking. Ridiculous breakfasts and dinners. Great location. Intended for sleep only.
I found the staff, especially the receptionist to be competent, friendly and very very helpful. The only drawback was the the limited selection of western meals for breakfast
good location
location and breakfast is so good, but someone contact is not easy.
Small room, limited storage. Loud music from street.
Got an email that check out time is 3pm, kicked us out at 11am.
I did not like the breakfast. It was not good from my perspective
Very good hotel!!!
The hotel location is great, at the city center, very close to MAHNE YEHUDA market. No parking yet but they told me they are working on a parking garage close to the hotel
Hotel should take care of customers' needs
Generally speaking this hotel is very good. The only complaint is that staff can be more helpful for customers who arrive to the hotel by car. Staff could not allow me to just park and unload luggage for a few minutes to check in before I return my rental car. I was given a list of carparks in Jerusalem and it was totally useless to a driver who drove into this city for the first time.
super location & super comfortable & well run
Excellent location, thoughtful and well trained staff, and obviously well supervised too! I'd come back repeatedly. Only 10 minutes by foot to the Old City, and to Mahane Yehudah and it was centrally located for our visits to various family too. Plus 10 minutes to Meah shearim for wedding gift shopping.
Very helpful checkin staff but cheap rooms
Nowhere to park. Typical ibis (why do I still go there?) - no storage, nowhere for suitcase, no soap (except nasty squirty stuff), sink plug that doesn't work. yet there are at leastv two other Ibis brands which are even more 'budget' than this one; how do they do it?
Good location efficient room all the basics in functioning Order Simple to navigate what a traveller needs Quiet and pleasant
Ice is lace Excellent breakfast Good location Very clean
Great location!
Recommended. The hotel enjoys a fantastic location about a 10 minute walk from the Old Town and close to the light rail line. The room was clean and comfortable, with a good breakfast spread in the morning and friendly and courteous restaurant staff. The only area of improvement was one of the reception staff: when checking in, my cheery hello was met with "yes?" and an attitude as though she was doing a favour to acknowledge me. I received a similar frosty response from the same member of staff upon checking out. Altogether, ibis Jerusalem City Centre comes highly recommended, but the hotel should ensure that its guest-facing staff have the hospitality and customer service skills to make a good first and last impression.
The staff was super friendly and helpful and my room was perfect. Street noise can be a little loud, but that’s part of the city.
Not the best nor the worst. Probably recommend or not.
Good location, great breakfast, adequate hotel
Hotel was very well located and reasonably comfortable. Good price; I paid less than $500 for three nights with a non-refundable rate. Breakfast was great -- much better than most European hotels, with much more selection. However, the front desk staff was sloppy and in some cases unprofessional.
Nice hotel, abit difficult to find
Excellent location right off of Jaffa Street. Nice ckean modern hotel. Only complaint is buffet breakfast is only until 10am, so we missed ours next morning when we woke up at 10. Also difficult to find the place!!
Property in good location, quiet and new. Excellent breakfast. Towels thin, lower part of shower not well cleaned, small bathroom, evening, front desk (male) employee not that helpful or friendly.
Good value to you’re money
Lovely area , grate stuff, very good breakfast! We had an upper room so the view was nice.
