Great location and car parking. good bar and restaurant. We chose to include breakfast with our room and it was well worth it. Wonderful switched on friendly staff. A great stay/experience from booking to check out. Well done Ibis Christchurch.

Room clean and beds very comfortable

This hotel is in a great location, near to Cathedral Square and the riverside restaurants. The foyer looks good and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. However, the room was a big let-down. It looked very dated and we were given a room with a disability access bathroom which we didn’t need, which felt clinical. We were only staying for one night which was manageable but, any longer, we would have wanted a change. Disappointing when it had a good first impression.

We had a great stay with your company and your front desk staff member Josh was incredibly helpful to us and I would like to pass on that he provided amazing customer service and would like to acknowledge that. Our room had a great room as requested although we found 2 nights we were unable to sleep due to drilling/loud road works which we would’ve liked to be notified about or a discounted rate given as we are wanted to rest in your hotel for our travels ahead we found many many black bits in one the beds (we have photos for your reference) otherwise our stay was great although if you could get back to me about the above feedback that would be great

Was expecting a lot more from this place, so many things we were expecting and there just wasn't. We won't be coming back unfortunately, I can't get a lot better for cheaper somewhere else

Great location, clean room and very friendly staff. No fresh air as windows dont open but had AC. Perfect for minimum time in the room

What? Free parking is 4 blocks away or park over the road for $3 per hour! Very unexpected. Maybe this is normal with hotels in Christchurch but it's a first for me. Apart from that, it's a nice hotel.

Great central location, walking distance to everything. Clean comfortable room and friendly, helpful stuff.

Reception staff very helpful, housekeeping staff did house keeping well and also replenished supplies in the room sufficiently and as such we could relax in the room comfortably. Overall a very good ecperience.

The floor we were on was noisy with other guests making a noise in the hallway at early hours of the morning also breakfast was cold and the buffet was not filled as often as needed

Perfect 3 star stay, clean and tidy with great staff and no complications.

Handy and convenient location right in the heart of town. Eateries, shopping and tourist attractions are right on your doorstep. Rooms were extremely small, however very clean and comfortable. Staff were very warm upon arrival and were lovely, informative and pleasant to deal with. Breakfast was great, a good selection of hot and cold food (bacon, eggs, hash browns, baked beans, pastries, bagels, cereals, toasts, fruits etc)

Heating did not work well in the room. Beds poorly made.

Centrally located and convenient accommodation

Very quick and efficient check in by ver polite staff. Room was as expected. Very comfortable bed. Little area to hang jackets also houses ironing board, iron, hairdryer Kettle and small fridge. Bathroom sometimes had an odour but not terrible and shower did go completely hot and then cold when I was in on the first morning otherwise it’s wasn’t too much of a convenience. Very easy quick check out this morning. Definitely would stay again. 5 minutes walk from Riverside Market. Next to metro for a quick snack or extra milk. 6-7 minutes from the movies, Canterbury Museum, Art Centre. Very convenient to everything.

Nothing unique as such, but safe, comfortable and affordable in the City.

Great location, friendly staff. Basic rooms with bathrooms feeling a bit tired... but nice and clean. Would happily stay again.

Overall a great stay. But very disappointed with the so-called hot breakfast items, which mainly were either tepid or cold. Gave feedback to staff in restaurant but no commitment to sort out the issue.

Good Hotel

The location is great . Room is clean and quiet. But the bottle of juice served in breakfast is refilled and bottle is not clean. It seems the bottles was not cleaned properly after each use.

Hotel room was very good. We have no complaints. Service was adequate and we consider the hotel as acceptable, convenient, comfortable, but far from luxurious.

Has everything you need. Simple and friendly check-in and had everything I needed in a clean and quiet room.

Close to everything. About 5 mins walk to bus interchange, riverside markets, restaurants, shopping, cathedral square (shuttle busses to gondola, antarctic centre, willowbank wildlife reserve), central library. Clean and fresh feeling rooms. Great breakfast buffet with scrambled eggs, bacon n sausage, hash brown, yoghurt, bread, muesli, fruits, croissants, muffins, coffee, hot chocolate, juices. Tv with lots of channels and chromecast. We, family with a 5 and a 3 year old, had a great stay. Would stay again.

This property was exactly as I expected for the price. Nice area with lots of dining options. Bus from the airport was $4 and easy. Check in staff was amazing. Giving this 4 instead of 5 stars due to check out. I asked 3 times if the front desk could make coffee on my departure. Front desk said NO when I left although he had a coffee machine behind him. Not a good way for me to exit my stay from Christchurch.

The staff were very helpful and polite. The room was cluttered and cramped for space. The bathroom was ok but the shower would not be big enough for a “ solid” person. The bed was two beds pushed together with the ridge down the middle. The location of the hotel was excellent for food outlets, tourism and transport

Reception is very helpful. The room is a very small. Was expecting free parking but ended up need to pay for $30 per night. Location is very good though.

Conveniently located in business district of Christchurch, within walking distance to many of the venues. Enjoyed a quiet stay.

It said on sight parking but when we got there they said it was all full and that you had to pay $25/night for parking which is insane! We ended up across the road at a better rate but had to drag all our bags and kids back to the hotel. The staff were friendly and room was clean but it was incredibly small and both our begs seems to sag to one side which made it hard to sleep.bthe location was very central which was good

Ibis Christchurch located at very central location in the city. It is so easy to wander around Christchurch city centre, close to shops and restaurant. The hotel also very clean. But the amenities is very standard to New Zealand (all so small and tiny)

We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the tram and restaurants nearby.

Great place and friendly staff, the hotel parking wasn’t the best and struggled to park a Ute in there

It was convenient but a bit tired. Fridge not operational with a towel stuffed inside it. Bed was comfortable.

Carport was dirty on checkin and some front desk staff were not very helpful.

Hotel room was clean and tidu but starting to feel tired and show its age. Happy with the room though and the location is excellent.

The room was clean and mostly comfortable, but the view onto a blank concrete wall was disappointing. There was a baby on my floor and when it cried, it was very loud and annoying. The fridge was also very noisy. Otherwise it was fine and the people were friendly and helpful.

This is what you would expect for a budget hotel. The rooms were smaller than they look in the picture. So with four of us it was pretty cosy. But no real comlaints, did the trick, nice little desk to use and bar fridge and jug is handy. Overall happy.

The roller curtain in the room was broken and needed some help to work.

Unfortunately when I arrived to my room the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned. When I asked for it to be cleaned I was laughed at by one of the cleaners on the floor. The next day I asked for my room to be cleaned and was put for 3 hours and came back to it not being done. I then heard the cleaner swear at our door as I put the do not disturb sign up! Very very disappointed

The hotel is in a great location. Stayed for one night for work and was clean and comfortable. Will stay there again
