My only complaint is that the rooms could have better insulation. The location is perfect; the breakfast very good and the à la carte food was excellent

The front desk staff set me up for the membership of the hotel again my self , after I find out , I did ask to delete my membership but they never did it they promise to call the director to talk but never happen . The breakfast its very poor the danish and croissant are dry and look not fresh, the eggs station was not set up .I have to request an eggs and they serve me a mini portion for a baby. The ham of the breafast test like crunky like is made with bones . They have prostitute commimg to the hotel because to come in to the you do not need to clear to the front desk .

The food, dancers and music during Carnaval was special. The rooms were average.

During Carnaval they had music, dancers and food de Carnaval. That was special. When it was not Carnaval there was American food That was not so special. They need bigger closets in the rooms also.

Unprofessional Front Desk Staff

I had a disappointing experience at this hotel due to the unprofessional and rude behavior of the front desk staff, particularly the female manager. As a foreign traveler, I should’ve been exempt from the tax, as I do not reside in Colombia. I explained this multiple times to the check-in staff and later requested to speak with a manager. When the manager came to assist, she was not only dismissive but also rude. She insisted that because my passport did not have a stamp from the airport, I was not exempt, despite the fact that I entered the country using the biometric system. I provided alternative proof, including boarding passes, U.S. driver’s license, and health insurance card, but she refused to acknowledge any of it. What made the experience worse was that after being there for 10 minutes, she reimbursed me the tax, only to turn around and tell me I could leave since I didn’t want to pay the tax. Her attitude was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. To make matters even more frustrating, my friends who were staying at the same hotel were checked in by a different staff member and were not charged the tax. Additionally, they were dishonest to me saying that the DIAN would reimburse me at the airport. The DIAN told me they don't handle that.This kind of inconsistent policy enforcement and disrespectful treatment of guests is unacceptable for any hotel. I would not recommend staying here unless you want to risk dealing with staff who don’t have any customer service.

Was clean the staff was very nice but the room was very small even for my husband and I, not refrigerator not coffee maker essentials things that the people found in a regular hotel the bathroom was clean but they didn’t put enough towels just the shower towels not hands towels and the hotel has a good location.

Great location and good facilities for a quick business trip, breakfast staff and housekeeping team are great and very professional, BUT the Front desk team is a disaster and very disrespectful, I've been providing the complains with my previous times and asking for proper training to treat international travelers, but its absolutely impossible for these front desk people, Very bad service! Please hire a team with customer service skills, not unpleasant ladies with very BAD and rude attitude. I'll consider a different hotel next time just to decrease the burden and discomfort of dealing with the front desk staff.

I liked the very helpful staff. What i didn’t like was that the bed was quite hard and not soft at all. I had a backache after the second night.

The hotel is nicely located, close to everything. On the negative side, I tried to eat a hotdog at the outside terrace and they said no, because I didn’t buy it there, and that I needed to go eat it in my room… they should reconsider these policies. Not booking there again.

very bad hotel 1- the carpets are dirty 2-the hallways are horrible, also very important that you specify your reservation when you make it across a 3 party online web-side , because in the hotel demand to pay breakfast by the way really bad and no a great clean standards according to the price and currency change between dollar and Colombian pesos (I had the bad experience that The girl at the desk wanted to charge me breakfast for two days, on the day I arrived at 3pm and on the morning, after several arguments between her and me, she realized that they do not serve breakfast at 3pm, INSANE no employee ever addressed me Apologies for the misunderstanding even the manager o supervisor, it was my third time at the hotel. I will NEVER set foot there! muy mal hotel. 1-las alfombrad sucias 2- los pasillos hielen horrible también es muy importante que revisen su reserva cuando la ejecutan atrás vez de un 3 party o página online, porque en el horel te imponen pagar el desayuno que es bastante malo( tuve la mala experiencia que la chica del desk me queria cobrar desayuno por dos días el arribe a las 3 pm y el de la mañana del siguiente día, despues de varias argumento con ella se dio cuenta que ellos no sirven desayuno a las 3 pm, nunca ningun empleado se dirigio a mi a pedir disculpas por el mal servicio, era mi tercera vez en el hotel JAMAS pondre un pie alli !

The staff members were nice and attentive. The room was small but enough for my daughter and I. The area is quite busy with medical centers and the mall around the corner but that didn't affect our stay. The breakfast was good but even better in the weekends. They have more specialties from the region. I personally would change the bed. My daughter didn't have any issues but I did. Or at least the pillows, something with the pillows that didn't allow me to have a restful night. For the rest i liked it and probably, I will come back next time I go to Barranquilla

The rooms were extremely uncomfortable, very small and the mattresses were small and very hard, barely any space between the beds, there was no amenities nor room service (no fridge, the soap provided in dispenser was the same for body and hair, odorless and it didn't make any foam), there were was no hand towels, the room had roaches( and we have 2 videos)!!! When we complained and requested to be moved to a better room we were told all the rooms were the same, that that was the concept of the hotel. The solution to hard mattresses was a thin and warm blanket( it is summer and very hot as it was). For the roaches we were told they use pest control( as if we were lying), the last time we complained about the roaches and requested someone to spray something we were told maintenance was gone for the day. We requested a full refund to which we were told we were losing our money and since reservation was done through a third party vendor most likely we will never see money. We checked out of the room the second night after we found another roach in the premises. We need our money back. NEVER STAYING AT THE IBIS OR ANY OF THE ACCOR PROPERTIES. DO NOT RECOMMEND CLIENTS TO THIS HOTEL!!!

I did not like to have to go back to the reception desk to ask to reactivate the card key every time I went back to the hotel, the laundry was not ready even at 8:00 pm, I requested someone to clean the floor and change the comforter that was accidentally spilled will soda and they said that I will have to wait until the next day. The breakfast tables were not cleaned or ready to be used at breakfast time after used. The taxis they recommend overcharge the tourists

This is an excellent hotel. In my four days there I felt safe, welcome and comfortable. The hotel is always clean and well-maintained. The staff are friendly and professional and even though I don't speak much Spanish they were always trying their best to help me. The location is good too; around twenty minutes' walk to the walled city. Or you can travel by taxi very cheaply. I enjoyed it very much here and would happily return. One thing I may suggest is possibly providing tea and coffee in the rooms. It would save having to go downstairs if you fancy a drink! Otherwise everything was fine. Thank you Ibis for a lovely stay.

Stay was amazing. Excellent service/attention from all staff. The hotel is very safe. Rooms are smaller but very clean. Excellent location. The only downside was that there was no mini fridge in the room. Aside from that, two thumbs up!

The firm bed was a plus for us.

This is the worst staffing, they have a card key to one of my guests to go up to my room and open my door without calling me or asking. There is very limited parking and if you come after 6pm you won’t find parking and need to park in a private parking a few blocks away and pay for parking. There is no soap in the bathroom or a fridge

Not parking at any time inside the hotel very busy medical area and it crowded to get a parking outside. If you at expecting to yo park at your arrival never mind this it’s not the right place for you.
