Nice stay in Augsburg

Nice stay near the city centre, short walking distance from the train station, the room had all the basics one could ask for, from sockets to charge tech items to side bed lamps. Hot water and heating were working fine. Staff were friendly and accommodating, check in was done smoothly.

Dependable hotel at a good price.

this is a no-frills hotel chain but it is dependably clean and well run. We have stayed at this location several times. It has an under-ground parking garage which we like when we are traveling with our bicycles. The breakfast buffet is very good. If it is the time of year when you will want the window open, recommend that you request a room with windows that do not open onto the main street.

Convenient location, very clean, good breakfast. Staff allowed us to store our bikes in an unused conference room. On-site parking (paid) was convenient. The Hotels.com description says this property is air conditioned - it is not. The hotel's web site does not make this claim. The front desk will give you a fan if you need it.

Stopover night very convenient.

Unfortunately and unlikely for an Ibis hotel, we found a room that seemed like it hasn't been serviced before our arrival. The shower was quite filthy, and the toilet had a crack in it, which was quite alarming. The general condition of the room wasn't as good as in other Ibis hotels. Breakfast was excellent as usual, but I always find the price to be a bit high. Staff was kind and helpful. They changed our room immediately when we complained about the issues.

Good and easy stay.

The stay was great! Good sized room with comfortable beds. Staff was very helpful and kind. Close to the center and the clinic we needed to attend. Breakfast was very satisfying.

Beware Of Hotel Theft

On returning to the room on the last day of our stay (16th May) we found that someone on the Hotel's staff had attempted to break into my partner's locked case. Nothing was stolen as the lock remained in tact but the zip track was damaged beyond repair resulting in my partner having to purchase a new case costing 60 Euros. Unfortunately as this amount was too small for a travel insurance claim we decided not make a report to the police.

Augsburg IBIS am Koenigsplatz

I had a room facing the back; it was very quiet. There was a nice view, with lots of stars at night, and soft sunlight in the morning. The restaurant for breakfast, and bar for afternoon and evening drinks was super convenient, and very welcoming. Service was polite, and friendly,

The hotel is within a reasonable walking distance to the train station and the city centre. The breakfast had a nice selection.

Return visit

We stayed in this hotel last year ,when we moved our son to the town for a years internship,we found the room clean & comfortable & staff helpful.so when we returned to pick him up to return home ,we stayed here again .everything was great as before even the receptionist Emmanuel remembered me she was so helpful .as we had booked our son in for 2 night & they had noticed the booking had the same names & put us across from each other .beds are so comfy the best nights sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel well done & thanks to all the staff

Nicer Ibis than usual

This Ibis Hotel was better than average because it had a nicer bathroom and better breakfast. Judging from the map, I had assumed it was not close to Augsburg city center - I was mistaken and it turned out to be a very short walk of two blocks. Parking was easy.

Ibis Is Good for a Night or Two

It is a clean, perhaps small, room that suits a single traveler well. Easy walk to the city center. The room was a little too warm and the control for the room temperature didn’t seem to change anything. Opening the window helped with the heat but then the street noise was a little annoying.

Nice place, just down the road from the town , lots of shops & restaurants , the only down side was the trams going past the hotel at night if you get a front facing room

Good hotel for the price

Convenient position in Augsberg but not too many restaurants close by. The breakfast was good. Free wifi is too slow and the television datastream kept dropping out, but overall a good hotel for the price.

Making the best of it

It's an Ibis... You can't expect too much variation in terms of decor, room size and layout, facilities etc. All the hotel management can do is make the best of what they're given and, in this case, they did well. The standard rooms are well maintained, warm, clean and the bed was comfortable. That's as much as you can ask. It's in the service where they can impress and, for us, they did. The two girls on reception were charming, helpful and attentive with very fluent English. Doubling up as barmaids they served with friendliness and care. The Breakfast Buffet was more than adequate (expensive in comparison with what you could get elsewhere but that's not unexpected) The underground parking is a little tight but we arrived late at night and there was still room. One slight criticism - the WiFi was difficult to connect to and sometimes unresponsive. Otherwise they have made the best of what they have been given.

Low cost option

Not sure I would stay here again, you get what you pay for. Stayed here for 1 night. Room was small, but clean. Bed was very uncomfortable. Wifi did not work in room, had to go in hallway or lobby to use and there it was fine. Parking and breakfast extra. Staff wasn't overly helpful; the tv didn't work and we were told to unplug it ourselves to fix (wall mounted flat screen). A few blocks from the main area, it seemed like a seedy block for some reason but turned out to encounter no problems. Good water pressure.

The staff were very friendly and helpful; gave good advice on visiting Augsburg and also some good recommendations for places to visit during our onward journey. The hotel was a good one; one of the better Ibis hotels. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the city centre.

Perfect location for three nights in Augsburg

Great location - close to the old town and train station. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean (the carpet's getting old and marked but it didn't really matter) with crisp white sheets and the bathroom was cleaned to a high standard. The shower was fabulous and there was enough space for three of us to settle in for three nights without getting on top of each other.

Excellent stopover

All though in need of a spruce up this hotel is a great place ,friendly staff secure parking and only a stones throw from the town centre

Friendly efficient staff. Stayed 4 nights and felt at home. Room a reasonable size, very clean. Didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on food.

Good location

Fairly easy to find. Overnight parking at modest cost. Breakfast was not included and was somewhat expensive. We stayed one night only as part of a journey on the Romantic road. There were several restaurants in the vicinity. Rooms were small but clean. Front desk staff were courteous but not friendly.

Ok for a budget bed

First disappointment was that the hotel was about 5 minutes away from from Königsplatz: not tragic, but not a good first impression. For the price,the room was fine: but the air conditioning was negligible, and the smell of smoke was initialy very strong. Cleaning the room during our stay did not include replacing empty soap containers or even emptying and replacing glassesused for water. All in all, it was not a room to spend much time in, but was OK for overnighting for a few days.

Good hotel for short business stay.

Simple and good hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. unfotunately I got a smoking room which I did not want as I am a non smoker. But apart from that I am sataisfied. Good for short business stay with free wifi.

The Ibis Hotel offered friendly reliable service and the room was very clean and comfortable. location was within walking distance to town centre.

Child-friendly rooms and friendly service

Uninspiring surroundings did not negate the fact that the Hotel was very practical and well-kept/clean, with the bedroom roomy enough for a child's cot, and plenty of surfaces to fill up with baby clutter and clothes. The bed was large, clean, and comfortable, which was very welcome following a long drive. Plentiful hot water, an anteroom between the corridor and the sleeping baby, and a fast lift between our third floor room and the secure subterranean carpark and reception were all positive. The staff at reception/check-in (man, striped shirt, glasses, medium length hair) was helpful and made good eye contact. The only downside was waiting for attention at the desk when it was busy (5 minutes or so) but overall would recommend and visit again.

The room size, bed comfort, bathroom quality were all satisfactory. However, for a summer visit, there were no air conditioning or fans available. The street and people noise below the window were impossibly loud. There was free Wifi in lobby, but lobby was also very warm. The hotel was walking distance to trains and to central town highlights. We were able to get a bus to the Botanic Gardens which were beautiful and shaded.

No air con. It gets a bit warm in the summer and if windows are opened on street side, it gets noisy.

An Ibis: what more can you say?

An Ibis is of a standard that one can expect: nothing special. The location of the Konigsplatz property and it is not their fault that the roads around them were being torn up for renovation. The garage below the property is very convenient for those travelling by car. Internet should be provided more easily; the computer in the lobby was faulty and difficulty to use owing to a short in the system. The breakfast was very good.

Oktoberfest in Munich.

They charged me twice for one room, one night.

The room was not clean, the bed was not comfortable and staff was seemed confused.

the staff is helpful: they provide eletric adaptor, hot water pot, local shopping information, and a cheerful smile! The room is clean, tidy and well equipped, although without luxury. Walking distance from the Hbf for around 15 min. Supermarket at the street corner.

Nao gostei dos cachorros! Deveria ter um elevador exclusivo pata quem anda com cachorro! Tenho medo de cachorro e nao sou obrigada a ir de elevador e com cachorros.

In direkter Nähe zum Hauptbahnhof, ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß gut erreichbar, ebenso zu Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Edeka 5 min. entfernt) und Fußgängerzone (ca. 10min entfernt). Alle Attraktionen gut fußläufig erreichbar. Personal sehr nett, konnten Koffer unterstellen bis zur Abfahrt. Zimmer sehr sauber und absolut ausreichend.

Gutes Stadthotel

Empfang war sehr nett. Leider wurde der Preis für das Parken in der Tiefgarage auf 15 Euro erhöht, was bei Hotels.com wohl noch nicht bekannt ist. Wir durften das Zimmer bis 12 Uhr am nächstenTag bewohnen, was dem Housekeeping wohl leider nicht bekannt ist. 2x wollten sie unser Zimmer schon vor 10 Uhr richten, obwohl wir an diesem Tag noch nicht ausgecheckt hatten. Es empfiehlt sich das, do not disturb" Schild rauszuhängen, wenn man usschöafen und den Tag gemütlich angehen öassen möchte. Ansonsten war alles sauber und als Stadthotel ist die Lage zum Erkunden von Augsburg super. Gerne wieder

Je connais bien l'hotel, car j'y ai séjourné plusieurs fois. Mais cette fois ci, grande déception au niveau du petit déjeuner. Vrakme't pas bcp de choix, pas de croissants, pain au chocolat.. Etc. Juste un peu de charcuterie, qlq pancake et des œufs. 18 euros, ça fait cher.

Ich habe meine Mütze beim Einchecken an der Rezeption vergessen, eine Nachfrage kurze Zeit später ergab, dass leider nichts liegen geblieben wäre!

Das Hotel ist leider sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Nur die Lobby und der Frühstücksbereich sind renoviert und modern gestaltet. Zimmer war bei Ankunft schmutzig (Bettwäsche und Möbel). Nach Zimmerwechsel immerhin saubere Bettwäsche und Möbel bekommen, dafür frische Blutflecken an der Wand, die auch auf Bitte nicht entfernt wurden. Zimmer ingesamt sehr trostlos und ungemütlich gestaltet. Zimmerreinigung fand nicht statt, es wurden nur die Betten gemacht und saubere Handtücher, die wir zuvor an der Rezeption geholt hatten, entfernt. Staubsauger scheint nur Deko zu sein. Positiv war die zentrale Lage zum Hauptbahnhof und der Innenstadt. Das Personal war sehr nett und das Frühstück gut.

Preis Leistung ist in Ordnung. Stadtnähe auch zu Fuß noch sehr gut.

Gutes Hotel

Ist gut central gelegen, leider an einer Hauptstraße wo man die Autos auch Nachts hört, wenn das Fenster offen ist. Ansonsten ist es gut und würde es weiterempfehlen.

Parcheggio all'arrivo davanti Hotel difficoltoso. Saputo poi dove parcheggiare no problem. Il rapporto costo/qualità discreto. C'è tutto ciò che serve ad un prezzo onesto.

Esperienza nel complesso positiva

Für ein paar Nächte ist die Unterkunft okay, das Frühstücksbuffet ist solide bestückt. Die Zimmer waren kaum spürbar klimatisiert, als wir dies bemängelten, wurde uns ein Ventilator kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt. WLAN funktionierte sehr bescheiden.

Excelente opção para pernoitar e conhecer Augsburg

Utilizamos o hotel numa pernoite em Augsburg, num tour pela Rota Romântica. A localização do hotel é excelente. Tivemos oportunidade de transitar a pé pela área central - e histórica - da Cidade. Na Maximilianstraße, rua principal, há excelentes opções de restaurante.

Das Bett war so hart, dass wir die ganze Nacht nicht schlafen konnten. Mein ganzer Körper hat am nächsten Tag geschmerzt. Die Dusche war auch sehr "abgestanden" und viel zu klein. Der Föhn hatte kaum Power.

Zentrale Lage, Klimaanlage, kleine Handtücher erst auf Nachfrage

Zimmer war klein und spartanisch eingerichtet. Kühlschrank nicht vorhanden. Keine ausreichenden Staumöglichkeiten. Kein geschlossener Kleiderschrank. Das Bad war gut in Schuss, Ausstattung war beschränkt auf Klopapier, Fön, Seifenspender, zwei kleine Gläser. Viele Fernsehprogramme, aber die Sortierung war sehr merkwürdig. Es war nicht ersichtlich, welche Sender es gibt und vor allem auf welcher Position sie gespeichert sind. Parkmöglichkeit nur in Tiefgarage, 10 € pro Tag. Lage nicht weit vom Zentrum entfernt. Gehdistanz.

Close to the center and easy to reach by car. Sometines noisy because of the trams

Als Gast musste man zum Teil über 10 Minuten warten an der Rezeption bevor man bedient wurde, da entweder keine Servicekraft anwesend war, in der Bar bedient hat und dabei später gekommene Gäste vorgezogen hat oder aber Papier- und Computerarbeiten erledigt hat. Man bekam das Gefühl vermittelt unerwünscht zu sein und zu stören.

Das Zimmer hatte keine Mini-Bar und war bei Sommer-Hitze etwas zu warm. Das Fenster in der Nacht gekippt offen zu lassen ließ den Straßen-Lärm (auch Straßen-Bahn) störend wirken.

Um boa escolha de hospedagem em Augsburg

Atendeu a nossa expectativa. Ideal para uma rápida hospedagem. Próximo do centro, em 10 minutos caminhando vc está no centro da cidade de Augsburg. Quarto pequeno, padrão Ibis, porém limpo, confortável e instalações novas. Possui uma boa garagem e o café da manhã que estava incluído na diária foi muito bom. Uma boa relação custo benefício.

Für Geschäftsreisen perfekt, das Hotel liegt fußläufig zum Kongreßzentrum und zur Innenstadt, es gibt auch ein Parkhaus. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und bemüht sich, jedes Anliegen sofort zu erledigen, das Zimmer war sauber, gepflegt und sehr ruhig. Das Frühstücksbuffet kann ich nicht bewerten, es sah sehr gut aus und mein Kaffee kam prompt und schmeckte sehr gut. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

Das Hotel ist schon in die Jahre gekommen aber es ist alles sauber.

Das frühstück war qualitativ eher mäßigvzu bewerten mit verkalkter kaffeemaschine und trockenem rührei, die zimmer sind sehr eng aber in ordnung. Alles in allem ok

Lobby ziet er tip top uit, kamers zijn veroudert. Verder was de kamer veelste warm en werkte de verwarming/cooling niet goed (raam open gezet maar dat hielp niet echt)

Wlan kaum verfügbar. Eine einigermaßen ordentliche Verbindung soll extra Kosten erzeugen. Das kann man auch anders lösen. Daher nur unterer Durchschnitt.

Positieve punten: - locatie. - parking aan het hotel. Neutrale punten: - de service was gemiddeld. Geen opmerkingen. Negatieve punten: - de kamer was toe aan renovatie. Let wel, de kamer was proper. - de lakens van het bed zijn onaangenaam. Ze zitten niet met een elastiek gespannen rond de matras met als gevolg dat het laken losraakt en je zo gedeeltelijk op de matras ligt.

Top Preis-Leistung. Top Lage. Wasser in der Dusche lief nicht gut ab - nach Info an der Rezeption wurde das sofort behoben. Man hört die Straßenbahn. Aber dafür liegt es sehr zentral.
