Everything was amazing. I was skeptical from some reviews but it was wonderful. The pools are beautiful and clean. The beach and chairs are so nice. Service is wonderful. We will be back.

The resort is stunning and impeccably maintained, with its location just a 25-minute drive from the airport. The entire staff—ranging from registration and concierge to waiters and housekeeping—exceeds expectations. They are all courteous and proficient in English. There are numerous dining options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with a delightful café area. I highly recommend this resort; your money is well spent on the all-inclusive package.

Great service! My only critique is that the carpeting has a strong mildew-like scent that we could smell from our room and also rooms were pretty humid despite using AC and such. Otherwise great place to getaway with wonderful and attentive service.

Overall, my time was pretty good at the JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar, but due to a strike many of the luxuries and amenities I wanted to partake in was unavailable. And I do not blame the staff for this inconvenience - I blame management of the hotel. This hotel brings in A LOT of money from it guests - my family/friends have personal been here several times and management doesn't have the decency to pay fair wages to the staff who have to wait on your guests hand and foot and expect them to smile and provide excellent service...Very disappointing. The strike penalized the guests and it was directly associated with how management treats their staff. So in short, management of this hotel ruined what would have been a great experience for me and my friends because they neglected their staff and we in turn were affected by managements actions.

The Staff was great, but our room smelled terribly of mold as well as other areas. Being in the Grand I would have expected more. I wish the staff would have been around more often when hanging out around the pool or at the bar. Need better notification of activities that are happening. The breakfast and lunch buffets were maybe a 6/10 items were often out and not refilled in a timely manner. The Surf and Turf as well as the Hibachi was fantastic. Again the staff all were very friendly but would have expected the room and the hotel to be in better condition for the cost. Overall a good experience though.

The Iberostar grand is great.Beautiful property.24 hour room service .The restaurants are great,a la carte good except the french .Nothing tasted good and they ran out of lamb 😫. Also the entertainment was bouring . This hotel for the 40 over couple crowd Other than that EVERYTHING else is great! Would I go back,yes but there are other all inclusive hotels I will go to for now.But a great experience, Jamai a is si beautiful and safe and just irie mon!Dont regret the trip.

The property itself was beautiful. Check-in was wonderful with a private butler escort to our room and welcome drinks upon arrival. Our room could have been cleaner. It could have used a good dusting and some attention to detail in the bathroom.

The experience was TOP NOTCH from beginning to end. Shout out to the best employees we first hand experienced: Crystal & Bussitonie (Event Concierge), Orain & Owen (Butler Service), Cassandra (Poolside Bartender - SHE ROCKS and I miss her already!), Lamar (Pool Life Guard), Andre & Korey (Poolside Bartenders) PLUS EVERY STAFF there. And the WONDERFUL/ENGAGING/ENTERTAINING ANGEL. If you don't find her SHE WILL find you. There were many we did not get names for but their services made our experience wonderful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND .. Now searching for other IBEROSTAR locations...Hope they all match up to Jamaica's service!

Very nice property

Truly a stunning resort in the heart of Montego Bay. The staff is incredibly kind, warm and helpful. Between customizing the mini bar to your preference to helping with excursions. They make you feel like family! I wish there were more Jamaican dishes at the restaurants and that the cleaning team/maids were more consistent, but I would definitely stay again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at JOIA, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and memorable. The rooms were impeccably clean, spacious, and elegantly decorated, providing a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. The amenities were top-notch, including a stunning pool area, a well-equipped fitness center, and a relaxing spa. The service throughout my stay was outstanding. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to assist with any request. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the hotel, from the beautifully maintained grounds to the thoughtful touches in the room. However, there was one aspect of my stay that fell short of the otherwise flawless experience: the dining reservations. The hotel operates on a first-come, first-served basis for its restaurants, which unfortunately meant that I was unable to secure a reservation at any of the on-site dining establishments during my stay. This was a bit disappointing, as I had heard wonderful things about the cuisine and was looking forward to trying it. Despite this minor inconvenience, my overall experience at JOIA was fantastic. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway. Just be sure to plan ahead for dining reservations to avoid any potential disappointment.

Underwhelming beach vacation

We booked an ocean view suite with a butler for our anniversary weekend. The first night we asked the butler if he could book restaurant reservations only to be told it's first come first served. The same with reserving beach chairs. We ordered room service, pizza was our first choice but we were told they were out of pizza so we ordered nachos, fries and rum. Fries were cold and soggy, nachos only came with cold cheese sauce and they brought vodka instead of rum saying they were out of rum. How can you be out of rum in Jamaica? Each day we had to re-request for the room to be stocked with water and beer. They brought chips and pretzels as snacks only the first day. The Jamaican cuisine restaurant was out of escovitch and drinks across the property were watered down. What went well. The hotel was very clean and quiet. Great view of the ocean from the room. Staff was friendly. And close to the airport. Overall I would not book a suite with a butler again because it provided no value and did not add to the experience. Hotel needs to up their hospitality game.

I have stayed at this hotel before this was our 4th stay here. Best part of this hotel is the staff they are 10/10 service wise this is what keeps me coming back. While I was staying here it was my birthday, sadly they forgot my birthday and my boyfriend had to remind them. When we returned to our room they left a banner that said happy anniversary instead of happy birthday :| I had to ask about 6 people to change it before it was corrected. It was corrected two days after my actual birthday. This was kinda upsetting to me as I said previously I stayed here before and the attention to detail is why I returned. We were given a few bottles of champagne to accommodate the error and I did talk to my concierge about it and he told me something must have been missed somewhere along the lines. The best part of this hotel is the staff and the food the drinks are great too. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family. I just wish they didn't forget my birthday as that part really did disappoint me. Cassandra at the pool bar is awesome and so was my concierge Travis and Regina from the front desk they all left a lasting impression.

The staff was friendly and accommodating, the food and drinks were excellent, and it was a relaxing and entertaining stay! Special shoutout to Darrio at the pool bar and Passion on the entertainment team!

The staff was very nice and welcomed me back with open arms. I didn’t have any issues with the amenities in my room, the room was very clean and organized very nicely! Thank you always.

My fiance and I went there to celebrate his birthday and our anniversary. From the moment we arrived we were met with excellent customer service. The room was clean, the food was delicious and the drinks were strong and back to back. Since the grand allows access to all 3 properties we checked the others out and were THANKFUL that we choose Joia/Grand side. They decorated our room with birthday and anniversary banners. We customized our bar to nothing but white rim and they obliged. Room service was prompt and immaculate. The only thing that annoyed us was the restaurants at night are first come first sit, not really that large to accommodate lots of people choosing one restaurant, as was the case with the surf n turf restaurant, so we missed out on that one. But there was plenty of other places to eat so we weren't sweating it. We even did the resort tour that we usually turn down and walked away with 100 USD that we used to buy our baby souvenirs and gifts with. I'm not easily pleased and this really won me over.

The Iberostar Grand was the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Everything was perfection. The staff was incredible and attentive. The property was stunning. The food was exceptional. We can’t wait to go back.

I had issues with the food at the Surf and Turf restaurant, general jamaican breakfast offerings and the Jamaican restaurant. Served watery cold clam chowder soup at the surf and turf. Also cold mived grill pork/chicken at the Jamaican restaurant. Late night room service was a hit and miss. The property and staff was good. The entertainment is average. I would not recommend this hotel based on this experience.

Cassandra, Renée and Kam were great bartenders...... the activities were superb in the 3 days I was there.... foam party.... white party...afrobeat dance class....synchronize swimming.... basketball.... bowling... a beach bar b que... the massage!!!! And so much more....I came to the resort alone but everyone makes you feel like family... several people I met extended their stay because you feel like you're home.... but the food..... the food the food! If I could of packed that jerk lobster I would of....10/10 all the way around

Loved my stay overall. Only minor dislikes. Room smelled moldy, patio light not working, few cracks in bathroom walls, husband not a fan of the buffet food but restaurants were good, hot tub NOT working. They may approach you to listen to a timeshare sales pitch but not forceful as I’ve heard about other places. You have option to go to the other two properties which are located a short walk on the beach. Ice cream parlour is at the lower end property which was a nice walk on the beach to get to. You have access to all the other restaurants, pools, and entertainment on the other two properties which gives you plenty of options. I’ve stayed at all three properties and they are more attentive at this location. Adults only so it’s more quiet, smaller and more intimate.

I’ve been to quite a few all inclusive and the food was actually really good. It’s definitely your everyday all inclusive however the staff is what makes the experience great!

Overall, we enjoyed ourselves at the Iberostar. The food was AMAZING ( probably the best hotel/resort food I’ve ever had). There were so many different options and restaurants on site. The resort was clean, and the rooms were spacious. The staff were so lovely and helpful. I especially liked how they catered to everyone and made it fun. They would host events at the resort and games for everyone to play. Hurricane Beryl made its way during my stay, and the staff was excellent! They kept everyone calm and reassured they were here for us and that our safety was their top concern. The staff was knowledgeable and genuinely wanted to help! Jamaica, this resort owes me absolutely nothing! I had a great time ☺️.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Iberostar Grand Rose Hall Resort (IGRH)in Montego Bay,and it exceeded all my expectations.From the moment we arrived, the staff's warm hospitality made me feel right at home.The resort itself is stunning,with beautifully maintained grounds and a serene,adults-only atmosphere that made my stay incredibly relaxing. My room was spacious, impeccably clean, and offered a breathtaking view of the ocean. The bed was extremely comfortable. However, I experienced some bed bug bites and at my request they changed out the mattress. I enjoyed a variety of delicious meals at the different restaurants,with the Surf & Turf restaurant standing out as my favorite.The quality and presentation of the food were top-notch,& the service was impeccable. The amenities at IGRH are second to none. I spent my days lounging on the beautiful beach or eating lunch at the Palapa, overlooking the ocean and taking in the wonderful breeze. One of the standout features of this resort is the staff.Everyone I encountered was friendly, attentive,& eager to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.Their dedication to excellent service truly sets this resort apart. Staff that were amazing included:Gregory,Tonya, Carlette,Sean,Valentine,and Shunae. In the evenings, we were entertained by fantastic live shows.My favorite,saxophonist,Howard Messam, blew me away with his electrifying performances! Encore! Overall,my stay was nothing short of perfect.I can't wait to return.

Just great service and people

This is my second time at Iberostar. The first time I stayed at the Beaches, my second visit was at the Grand. Great selection of food and entertainment at both, but at the Grand I have access to all amenities at the Beaches, the Suites & the Grand! The club at the resort played great music as well. My room was cleaned twice daily. Room service was faster than I expected and any other requests we made were always timely. All staff we spoke with were genuinely kind people & knowledgeable. This is the resort my family stays at each visit to Jamaica.

Overall, my stay at the Iberostar Grand Rose was decent. Pros: Staff were all extremely friendly and I thought the service overall was excellent. Nightime entertainment was great and my partner and I enjoyed the shows. All of the dinner options (restaurants) were solid with none of them being particularly bad. Beach was clam and clean. Cons: Rooms are clean, but noticeably dated. The lunch options on the grand rose side of the property were lacking versus the buffet breakfast options. Some of the hallways had a mildewy smell and the carpet needed to be updated. In addition, the spa, though nice, is overpriced. The second floor elevator in the lobby always smelled like jerk chicken. I'm not sure if that was intentional. Note: Beware of the VIP/timeshare scam for "Iberostar, the club". Ultimately, we were able to redeem this for free massages at the spa, but the presentations will take about two hours. When offered this opportunity at check-in, be double sure that you're willing to go through with it.

The staff was amazing, very positive and helpful. Always wanting to make sure that you're having a great stay. If there's anything you're needed it's attended to. We had a great time as a family and no problems or concerns whatsoever. It's a beautiful property and the beach area is perfect. Hotel is a bit outdated but clean. Room is cleaned twice a day. Staff is friendly and provides a lot of activity throughout a day. Sometimes you can’t get to the restaurant because “first come first serve “ policy and no reservation.

Food is good quality, service is great, cleanliness is top notch. Alcohol selection is good. Tequila variety needs improvement but they were very expedited to accommodate our request. Our butlers were on top of every need. We booked an ocean front room which had incredible unobstructed views. Thanks to everyone especially Kerry and Shamar which made us feel welcomed. And Cassandra and Kanesha who are the best bartenders.
