A week in Mallorca

Modern, beautifully located hotel with friendly staff and stunning beach and chiringuito just nearby.

Great property but lifts are slow and a little old. Spa is great!

Fantastic hotel, facilities and location. Junior suite was an excellent size.

Amazing

Myself and my partner had the most fantastic stay here and could not fault the hotel in anyway. Staff were amazing but Hamdi, Eddie and Quan were outstanding and went above and beyond for us the entire trip. Room was beautiful and clean, food was lovely and shuttle service was fantastic. Will be returning next year!

Great location

Best experience ever

Pepi at the front desk and Joan at the pool made the impossible to accommodate us. No words to say how comfortable we all felt after our flight got cancelled and were able to find a room in that amazing hotel. Being a mallorquina living in nyc for 23 years is difficult when it comes to rate but rest assure that if you are an American and you have doubts to choose this hotel, please take it for the best of your experience in Mallorca. I’d like also to name that young man Hamdi, who would offer us a ride wherever every time we crossed paths with him, we didn’t take it because I still feel local and wanted my daughters to explore, but I have the feeling that he would get out of his way to make you feel comfortable. A 6⭐️ for this hotel gem 💎

Ants in bedroom and bed After being reported and room "cleaned" ants still present. Outside power washed and water entered room. Lack of handrails at outside steps for anyone needing that assistance.

Really enjoyed our stay, beautiful mediterranean colors mixed with avant garde deco. Breakfast downstairs really good!

I recently stayed at the Donna Portals hotel in Palma de Mallorca, expecting a luxurious 5-star experience. Instead, I encountered poor management and lackluster hospitality skills from start to finish. Firstly, the reception process was bizarre. I was awkwardly directed to a distant bar from the reception area and asked for my credit card, which was taken away—unacceptable and unprofessional. The room was another major letdown. The TV didn’t work, and the coffee capsules for the Nespresso machine were generic. The room’s door was damaged, requiring a manual key instead of an access card. Despite their promise to fix it, no one ever came. Breakfast via room service was equally disappointing. I ordered scrambled eggs with vegetables and received a tiny portion with a single leaf of lettuce. They forgot the bread basket and brought just two slices of bread instead. The hotel’s disorganization extended to billing procedures at the pool, where receipts lacked a designated space for room numbers. Their online advertising of an exclusive beach was misleading; it’s a crowded public beach. This hotel seems to be run by someone with no clue about hospitality. Donna Portals is an absolute disgrace. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this so-called 5-star hotel at all costs.

It was our best ever hotel experience , the staff was so nice and the service was 6 stars service (kindness, super clean rooms and amenities). The room was amazing, and the breakfast as well, the beach is perfect for families with easy access, beautiful sand and crystal clear water. We will definitely come back for another vacation!

Exceptional property

We were blown away by our experience at The Donna Portals. The property, service and accommodations were five star. The views are breathtaking and the beach just steps from the property exceeded our expectations. We cannot wait to come back here!!

Great holiday but some things could be better

Great location, fabulous restaurant. The rooms show signs of age -- some restoration would be nice. The staff was nice and helpful, but also unwilling to acknowledge Gold Hotels.com rewards, which caused some unpleasantness.

Great property and amazing service

A super special eco friendly boutique property. We super loved ‘most’ of the staff. (Some of the restaurant staff didn’t know how negative they were) the food was amazing, the room clean and bright. We really loved this property. The spa was amazing!!!! Beautiful steam room, sauna cold tub... amazing! The only negative is that the toilet door is glass and really has NO privacy. Glass and see through!!!

This hotel is absolutely fabulous in every way! We were treated like royalty every minute of every day Rooms were stunning they have thought of everything will definitely be going back there superb!!!!

Perfect romantic get away!

From the moment we arrived we felt like VIPs! The setting is idyllic. The location also puts restaurants and shops an easy, safe walking distance away. The lovely little beach is right at your door step and the little cove is a piece of paradise. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was attentive and friendly and went out of their way to make our honeymoon special. Highly recommend!

Excellent location and top notch staff

Recently stayed here for 5 nights. Hotel is beautiful and in a great location. The staff was exceptional throughout our stay. Juan especially was an absolute gem, helping us with reservations, questions, etc. Unfortunately I became ill during my stay but the staff went above and beyond to assist with medical attention and I was back on my feet in no time. Restaurant was great, rooms are clean and spacious. Anytime we needed a taxi they were outside in 2 minutes, which was rare compared to rest of Mallorca. Only comment is the pool scene could be better (music and service). Great stay and would highly recommend

This is one of the best hotel I have ever stayed especially in European standard. Spacious room, attentive service, excellent food. Right next to a small public beach

Great hotel, enjoyed our stay!

Spent 4 nights here in June. Rooms are very clean and very comfortable. Spa is excellent, sauna, cold plunge etc. Pool area very nice also. Beach is great (you need to pay a few euro for a chair, and need to get down there early to get one). Restaurant is also very good. The layout of the hotel is interesting, it has several levels and lots of nice different areas to spend time. Lots of stairs. The location is good. The entire staff was excellent, front desk, car valet, restaurant staff. In particular we were met by a young lady named Neus on arrival who was responsible for us during our stay. She was excellent, checked in on us periodically and made our stay that much more enjoyable.

The staff were generally super-attentive. The facilities were first class. But we found the hotel a bit pretentious.

Nice staff as usual, more suited to under 50,s taxis needed to get to anywhere or electric skooters coastal path to the marina a disgrace for such a nice place,rental car waste of time not cheap but not to upmarket.

Perfect Couple Break

First Class Hotel, real 5 Star, not self called 5 star, great attentive staff who are not in your face but are very happy to go out of their way to help as much as possible. Juan on reception couldn’t be more helpful. Would really recommend. Great Pina Coladas!!

Amazing hotel, we had the penthouse suite with hottub in our terrace , views were amazing. Staff treated us like royalty. We will be coming back .

Stunning location. Exceptionally clean , bright and beautiful! The artwork in each of the rooms makes for a real treat when compared with other hotels. The staff are second to none! I look forward to visiting this hotel again soon !

a very nice modern hotel done up in a beautiful design.Very nice restaurant or upstairs pool with some great reception employees especially Karina and Juan that were super helpful with things to do and places and dinner reservations.In a very nice neighborhood with many restaurants and beaches very close.

We should have stayed longer with this amazing hotel, and should have booked a sea view room to enjoy the best of the hotel! Hotel staff are very decent, friendly, helpful and fashionable! Food is very delicate too!

Excellent hotel

Great hotel. On arrival you are transported into a happy bubble, with fantastic 5 Star personalized service, surrounded by amazing interior design that is funky, super cool and stylish. Breakfasts were amazing. The setting is idyllic next to a beautiful beach cove. The best Danish pastries I have ever had - better than ones I have had in France!! The best decaf coffee I have ever had, served by what has to be the best waiter in the world - Dani who magically appears at exactly the right moment and knows what you are about to ask before you have even asked it! My stay is one I will fondly remember for many years to come.

Lovely Boutique Hotel

It was a joy to stay, The Hotel was stylicsh and immaculate in and out. The staff were young freindly and enthusiastic, great location, overlooking a prefect little cove / beach, and only 5 mins taxi into the marina. I cant wait to go back.

Great hotel

Amazing hotel with really friendly staff. Nice quiet location with a lovely small beach just in front of it. The design of this hotel is quite spectacular. Can't wait to revisit.

Lovely stay at the hotel nice room with a view on the 10 th floor overlooKing the sea Staff still training at moment so a few hick ups slow breakfast service not keen on hot food as eggs never cooked. Correctly. Need to improve on service of coffee and juice being delivered. More than cake display casing being carried and aware of when tables need clearing I’m not sure if why coffee is so hard had to wait 15 mins one day and observed other tables editing fir basic morning breakfasts Excellent buffet choice fresh fruit yogurts and cheese and ham but would been nice to have a cooked traditional breakfast instead of a la carte. Which is fine but not for everyone On the whole we had a great stay and staff were happy to help and deliver

The staff, the cleaness, the quality of the breakfast, and the room. What we did not like is the area in front of the hotel was extremely noisy from noon through 4 am. Great location, great views, Nice design, spacious rooms, Housekeeping was amazing, front desk was welcoming, took a little long on check-in. Breakfast was great. Loved the hotel overall, however, some of the staff were under-trained, or spoke little english but the majority were excellent. Lovely stay.

Fantastic stay

Fantastic stay at a beautiful hotel, we always stay in Portals and this hotel is in the perfect spot. We really enjoyed our stay, the only minor thing is the breakfast service needs some work regarding staff and a few things we asked for when dialing room sevice weren't fulfilled.

Fantastic!!!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for my 30th birthday and it was just perfect! Hotel is amazing and we were greeted with a glass of Dom Perignon champagne followed by a free room upgrade for my birthday and welcome snacks. I was also given a special birthday cake which was delicious! Perfect location, perfect hotel, would absolutely visit again!!

Fantastic!!

On arriving the welcome was exceptional, we were greeted warmly and then given a glass of water and a glass of champagne whilst the staff booked us in. We were given a tour of the facilities available. The hotel was amazing and the room was brilliant. Staff were helpful, cheerful and efficient. Situated in a lovely bay with a small beach, it couldn't have been better. This truly was a 5 star hotel and we can't wait to go back!!

Fantastic hotel overlooking a small tranquil beach

What a gem! Beautifully refurbished hotel. Ultra modern and quirky design. Staff go above and beyond. Great welcome on arrival with champagne and chocolates on a private balcony. We were upgraded to a balcony double room overlooking the bay. Spacious and luxurious the circular bath was a nice surprise. We would definitely revisit. Great that the hire car was parked for you even iif you opted for the free on street parking. Good location just a 5 minute up hill walk to the main cafes and restaurants.. Breakfast was fabulous . We loved the presentation of the pastries at the table. Dinner was also very special with complimentary courses and attentive staff. We will certainly revisit!
