The staff and location were the stars of our stay. Despina and her son, George, were the most helpful and kind hosts we’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. Every question answered, and problem solved. They were the best! The studios were specious with good amenities (frig, hot plate, washer, patio seating.) They had a local charm to them that we enjoyed. The location was excellent. Close walk to everything. Easy access to the beach and taxi drop off areas. Tip: Be sure and use Google Maps to locate property otherwise you could find yourself in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Great host, great stay
We enjoyed our stay in Chania. The location of the studio is excellent, right in the old town. Parking was convenient and free, just a couple of blocks away. The host was very helpful and kind, providing us with towels for the beach and a sun umbrella. We were greeted with lemonade which was very nice too. The beds weren't terrific they were a bit old and slightly uncomfortable but not a big problem.

❤️ Crete!!!
Just lovely! So charming. Loved it!
Great location
Great location. Rooms clean and roomy with nice balcony setting. Good value.
Perfect Part of Town!
The room itself was lovely. The air-condition unit was so loud that even Turing the tv to full volume couldn't drown it out. If a new unit is put in, the stay will be lovely. You walk out the door and you are let out into the streets that are lined with restaurants and shops. People are strolling through the streets with no sense of urgency. We really enjoyed this part of town!
Loved it
The balcony covered in flowers was amazing and the room was very lovely. We would absolutely stay again.
Excellent apartment.
Right in the middle of the old town but on a lovely quiet street. Iason studios is an excellent place to stay. Great balcony to chill out on, basic but great amenities with a small hob, washing line (even a bowl was provided!) everything to keep you fed and watered. Fantastic air con in the bedroom, as it gets very hot in Chania. Would stop here again no problem! Fresh towels every day.
Chania and Iason were a happy Surprise
Iason Studios is a charming small hotel located in the old town of Chania, Crete. We booked the unit with the kitchen and it would be perfect for a short or longer stay. Staff are very helpful and accommodating. The Studios are well located to restaurants and food stores. The bus station is about a 15 minute walk. Some great restaurants in the area.We would go back in a heartbeat. For context, we used this as a stepping stone to go to Paleochora for the beaches and hiking. There was much more to Chania than we had imagined and that includes Iason Studios.
Clean convenient but no wow factor
Very friendly owner and spotlessly clean accommodation but lacked lustre. Very old and run down building with very old furniture. Nothing matched and The bed and the pillows was so hard that I felt like I was getting a pressure sore.
Fantstic location in old town in chania...
If you want 5 star hoel maybe not for you. I would recommend to any unpretentious people to stay there.... very warm n kind people
Excellent hotel
An excellent hotel, with friendly welcoming staff who where very helpful and informative at all times. The hotel is situated in the Old Town minutes from the Old Port and a 5 minute walk to the beaches.
Wonderful stay in Old town!
An amazing find within the old town. If you stay anywhere in Chania...make it within the old town. The streets are nostalgically beautiful, full of windy little alleyways. Forget a map, just walk and get lost and before you know it, you come to a familiar stop. Iason Studios is in a great location. Very well kept. Loved having my breakfast on the patio! Despina was very welcoming and helpful...always smiling. The studio had sufficient utensils for cooking small meals I guess but other than getting breakfast needs from nearby grocer, I didn't bother. All in all a wonderful stay and I would have extended if time permitted.
Charming with excellent location!
Our room at Iason was comfortable, in a large room with a kitchen area, bed area, and a sitting area. The balcony overlooked the charming alleyway of the old quarters. We were footsteps away from the harbor area and about a 10 minute walk from a beach where we could rent a chair an umbrella for 5 euros. They also offer a transfer from the airport for 20 euros. The only complaint was the spoty wifi, which was also spotty down along the harbor so I am not sure if this is a fault of Iason or of the area in general. I would highly recommend Iason to my friends and family and would stay here again if I am ever lucky enough to travel to Chania again!
Great hospitality
Iason Studios are in a lovely, quiet location in Chania's old town. They are spacious and comfortable, and Despina is extremely kind to her guests.
Great Location
In the heart of the old town Iason Studios was nevertheless relatively quiet. The "Landlady", Despina, was very helpful, though not always there. The room was full of atmosphere and there was always hot water at any time of the day. The "cooking facilities" however left a lot to be desired, giving only very minimal heat in the one large and one tiny ring. Trying to use a ring and the electric kettle at the same time blew a fuse. There was certainly no shortage of places to eat so I imagine most people eat out. We would stay there again if in Chania.
everything just right
We were given a lovely room on the first floor with balcony overlooking one quiet alley plus a big window facing onto another alley, so views in both directions. They gave us a welcome tray with nuts, olives and a decanter of raki. The owner, Despina, is friendly, fluent in English, and very discreet. The bathroom was bigger than the average usual Greek style, and the selfcatering kitchen nicely appointed, and with some unexpected complimentary perks, such as coffee, tea, and olive oil. The location is perfect for exploring the old town, and close to the beach. It was quiet at night and we slept very well. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
Friendly owner and nice hotel
This hotel / studio is very well situated. Directly in the old harbor off Chania. The room are nice, the owner is very friendly and ready to help you with anything. The only thing a have to say about this hotel is maybe the shower is a little bit small, but like other place a stay in Greece, you get use to it :)
Ideal location
A very enjoyable, relaxing stay in a simple but comfortable and clean studio, including a kitchenette and a balcony. Close to the shops and the beach.
The host is amazing! She provided free welcome snacks and cold drink upon our arrival and have been very responsive to us with our late arrival.
