Really need to sort out the awful smell
Staff were friendly-ish and the beds were comfy and great sized bathroom. The hotel is situated in a nice area with an amazing cafe place next door. Sadly there was an awful smell constantly coming from the bathroom drains so we had to keep all the windows open. The smell was pretty bad. The fridge didn’t work and no kettle or tea making facilities in the room. Communal areas were also smelly and the hotel has very thin walls so we could constantly hear other peoples doors opening and closing 24/7. The bedrooms aircon although we had it on ´off’ setting constantly turned on and off throughout the night keeping us awake.
Great location just one metro stop outside of the downtown area. Only a 4 minute walk to the metro. Rooms are sparse, but clean. Beds were very comfortable. Nice dining/chill out area. Breakfast selection included pastries, hard boiled eggs and cereal, which could be ordered a la carte as well. Coffee house located two doors down for those serious about their morning java.
It was a nice little room and staff was great, they let us check in at 2:00
Really cool place, easy to get too and great hospitality
The staff were all extremely helpful! The hotel and our room were spotless and was a very convenient spot in Amsterdam Noord. Getting to Centraal Amsterdam was easy.
Total rip off
Looked terrible inside. Random noises all night so sleep was hard to come by.
Room didn’t have any windows so felt a little claustrophobic
Love iHotel
Great lobby and breakfast area, great staff. Wonderful breakfast.
The property was quiet and away from the central downtown area, and for the price you can’t beat it.
That room was way over priced.
Great staff affordable price would recommend
Arriving from the subway is convenient. The rooms (some with no windows) are all lined up off a corridor. A basic desk and wifi. No frills. My room’s bathroom wasn’t very clean with some hairs still around. I was constantly woken up at night by noise from the other rooms. I checked out one night ahead because I couldn’t take it.
super convenient location just a 5 minute walk from the metro and 1 stop to the central station. clean budget hotel with the nicest staff. had the best sleeps 2 nights in a row. good cafe in the hotel for coffee and breakfast
For the price, pretty average.
Very comfortable in nice part of town.
Choose to stay in North Amsterdam and save some money. This is, in nearly every way, a comfortable accommodation. Our room was more spacious than a usual hotel. Clean. Comfortable bed/bedding. Very quiet. Nice and professional owners who provide a good continental breakfast in a trendy space. Very convenient to Metro stop; one stop away from Centraal station.
Everythik was ok.
Staffs are excellent, the room is cozy and charming. I loved it!
Wasn’t too far out from the city centre whilst using the metro/ferry. We almost caught the metro going towards Zuid every day to get into the central. Clean and tidy hotel and looked very modern. Paid €100 deposit which I was made aware of before stay and had it straight back on check out time. Staff were v helpful and called us a taxi to the airport. Room had really good air conditioning and a good tv. Can’t fault this hotel at all.
A nice hotel that’s not in the busy centre of Amsterdam, easy to get to with a free ferry from the centre however room was not ready for check in time and there was lots of noise throughout the night. Nice and clean though
Location was excellent, one metro stop away from the city centre. Room was quite small but very clean. Good enough for a few nights stay. Highly recommend
Mixed feelings
Important to know: you pay 7% of what you've already paid online at reception as a tax. (also a 100€ deposit) It's was a comfortable stay, literally as the room was sparkling clean and the bed very cosy, but I was quite disappointed to find out there was no window in the room. The staff was nice and suggested to keep my bag before check-in and even after check-out. Suggestion : free earplugs as the room's insulation was very bad and I could hear everything happening in the corridor, which woke me up many times in the night :/
I hotel
The hotel overall was lovely. Very nice staff and quick service for checking in and out. Can’t comment on the food as we didn’t eat there. The room was small but clean and comfortable- the only thing I would say is that the wall was marked quite a lot which ruined the look of the room slightly. Ideal for a short stay and easy to get the local transport into the city centre.
The room was not as expected. Very very small and there was no sound insulation, you could hear everything from the corridor.
The property was cool, affordable and reasonable in price and location. Only downside was the room seemed to have a lot of mosquitos, the bathroom also had a weird smell. Above all I would give the hotel 6/10
It was good bit there’s still room for improvement. There was no kettle, coffee and tea in the room.
The hotel was in a good location and the staff were friendly but the room was disappointing based on what we thought we would have based on the pictures on Expedia - very small and a funny smell. There was also a lot of noise in the hallways - groups of teens going in and out of each others rooms, which felt like they were basically in our room! Overall, it's a fine base if you're only in the city for a few days, but next time I would spend a bit more for a bigger room and some peace and quiet!
Nice place with helpful staff. Location was not too far from the city centre (one stop by train).
Lovely hotel
All the staff who work here are really helpful and friendly, big thanks to them for making the trip really nice. The rooms are very clean and well presented, the only downside was an odour coming from outside sewers which wasn’t the fault of the hotel but we could smell it with the window open. The rear-facing rooms are very quiet and we had a good nights sleep on a comfy bed. Well connected to the city, via the metro or only a short walk and boat across the river.
The value and location are great. First k thought it would be far from city centre, but then I discovered the metro, less than 5 min. From the hotel and it was great! Super connected .... What I didn't like: what's going on with the stairs to the upper room? They are very dangerous and imposible to walk. I guess it's a dutch thing I've seen in old traditional houses. Second thing, the bad smell at the corridor at ground floor. You should sort that out. Looks like a toilet is leaking.
Smelly hallway and curtains that do not close.
Hallway smells bad and the burger shop next door rips of tourists. The curtains don't close in the middle leaving you visible from the beds from outside. This window was on the second floor so your not visible at street level but there is a bigger hotel overlooking the room.
Property was clean. However staff were rarely at the door at night to let you in which was annoying as you do not want to be stranded outside in this location.
Very small room. overall ok. Walkable distance to train station but need to climb a small slope.
Lovely hotel. Staff are friendly. One stop away from central station or you can get the ferry which is free. Also a corner shop nearby. Great location. Would stay here again
Hotel was nice and very clean. Staff at reception were happy to help with recommendations on where to go and public transport is only a 2 minute walk. Would recommend
Girls trip to Amsterdam
We have just returned from Amsterdam. The I hotel was clean and the staff were extremely helpful. It Ian one stop on the metro from the centre of Amsterdam taking about 10 minutes. The metro station from the hotel takes 5 minutes walk. The rooms are quirky but good for a weekend break. Some noise from the heater and it was cold but we did visit in December. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
There are hidden charges and got charged £200 nearly the same price as the hotel for 2days
Nice bargain
Nice pleasant clean room. Well located for easy access to city central
Had a great stay. The hotel is in a really convenient location- a few minutes walk from a train station and plenty of bus stops. We bought a 3 day travel card which saved us loads of money and made it super easy. Our room was really fun (had a mezzanine), and the bathroom was great too. It was clean but not perfectly clean, but only if I’m being very picky! Continental breakfast was offered for a few, but we didn’t have it.
The hotel was clean
Decent hotel. Good hotel which is in a relatively quiet but convenient location. Hotel staff were all superb.
Stayed for 5 nights at this hotel. We were pleased with the efficient décor and the location (across central station , over the water). Staff was exceptional accommodating, polite, and reached to our needs, with quick service ( ex: in the breakfast lounge), or useful information at the reception desk.
Tiny room
The room itself was very clean however, I did not picture it to be so small. The windows in the loft rooms let in so much light in the mornings as there is no blind and what makes it worse, is that you can’t open these windows. The AC made weird noises, especially in the middle of the night. The stairs were awfully tiny and I did slip on them a couple of times.
The quiet side of Amsterdam
Parking right outside the hotel (low cost parking meter that takes UK credit cards and is free from 19:00 to 09:00), friendly receptionist, the stairs up to the first floor are typical Dutch stairs so steep and narrow. The room was fine, good size, clean, nice bathroom, good WiFi, comfy bed. Some nice restaurants all with a 10 minute walk, safe area, quiet and easy access from the motorway
Served the purpose
The hotel was a little further out than I thought bit it's very close to the metro so that wasn't really a problem. I has made contact with the hotel on several occasion prior to arriving and they were always swift to reply and help my query. Room was very small with school lockers as a wardrobe. Room was cleaned daily so was always kept clean. No facilities to get a drink at the hotel from a bar as such only a vending machine or the cafe next door. We didn't get breakfast at the hotel we instead went to centraal and found local cafes. Overall the hotel served it's purpose, although I would stay closer to the centre next time as with the travel costs it probably didn't work out that much cheaper.
Great
Very good hotel. 5 minute walk from metro station that takes you straight to city centre.
Reasonable distance from the free ferry which was very convenient
Had a great stay . Love the place . Don't use taxi . Easy to walk round
Would not stay again.
We killed 3 bugs if the first 45 minutes of being in the room. They were centipedes because there is a ventilation issue with the showers, it was very humid in the room. They were small rooms with no windows and thin walls. Would not recommend. It was in a fine location, overpriced for the room in this area.
Kind receptionist
The reception stuff was very kind to us!
It's good but don't expect much
Positive: OK location. Quiet area. Food shop next door. Bus stop and supermarket nearby. Helpful and friendly reception staff. Sufficient info available (e.g. maps). Clean and comfortable sleeping area. Reliable WiFi. Negative: Ferry to Central some walk away. No ice available (if you want to cool own drinks as there is no refrigerator in room). No kettle to boil water (if you want to make your own tea/coffee/soup). Foul odour on corridor near the stairs. Leaking water under the bathroom sink. Open layout bathroom without shower curtain and the entire bathroom floor and toilet gets wet.
Use metro rather than very if on foot
Very handy to metro station
Convient walk to the city centre in about 30 minutes with a free ferry
Great value
It was very close to the free ferry into the center. New hotel with minimal furniture, just the necessary. I think it was a good value for what we got. It's a cute residential neighborhood that has great biking trails out further north. Would stay again. Note: they didn't do room service on one day that we were there but it was because we were still in the room and there was some miscommunication, but that's about it.
Enjoyable One-night Stay
Friendly, helpful staff and quick service. Our room was cute and clean, a bit small to get comfortable for a long stay but perfect for our one night! We enjoyed the loft, skylight, and comfortable bed. Nice, quiet neighborhood only one bus stop to the Nieuwmarkt area and two stops to Centraal Station.
Small rooms and pricey.
The room was extremely small for 4 people - given the price. The twin bed was perfectly fine for two people but the sofa-bed (for the other two) was not comfortable at all. The pictures on the website are rather misleading. They make the rooms appear bigger than they are. There breakfast was not decent for the price either; that's why we didn't even try it. The personnel was very pleasant and the place very clean and open 247.
Clean basic little hotel in quiet neighborhood
Small but tidy hotel, room was very basic and pokey but nothing really bad about it. The building has no elevator but plenty of parking out the front. Wifi is good, beds are comfy (again just small) Bikes available to rent here for about 10 euro/day. Biggest negative is location, although it's a nice quiet neighborhood, you won't be close to all the major restaurants/night life. It's about a 20min walk to the ferry from the hotel and a 5min ferry ride to the main part of the city (the ferry is free) tldr: decent little hotel, just too far from cbd
Lovely staff and room
Good value for money hotel
The hotel doesn't look great from the outside but once inside the rooms with the loft bedroom are interesting. Just careful with the stairs as they're quite steep... location wise it is a 15min walk from the free ferry that takes you to central Amsterdam. We enjoyed the brekkie, very good value for money. Free parking across the road; don't take your car with you in central Amsterdam as it can be very pricey (up to Eur 50 per day).
Good hotel. Staff welcoming and very clean. However, the walls are paper thin and it was a bit far from the main attractions especially after being on your feet all day exploring the sites. Didn't always feel safe in the area too.
Great value for money hotel!
A very nice, welcoming hotel just a short journey away from the centraal station (10 mins north). Room was nice and clean, getting good value for our money.
I never stay in rooms like this and honestly I loved it. Don’t know if it’s the gerenal Amsterdam vibe or what but it was so different from anywhere else I’ve stayed. Was so aesthetically pleasing!
Decent but far from perfect
Pretty OK hotel in Amsterdam Noord. Just a 6 minute ride from Amsterdam Central station by bus, and conveniently located for the conference venue I was visiting. Although the hotel is clean and modern, a few things stood out to me as being odd. My room (#10) had no windows, and I think none of the rooms do. It did have a skylight that has some blinds over it, ,but the blinds barely cover the skylight and as such I was up at 5am when the sun was out outside already (this being in May). Additionally, I had "Standard Double or Twin Room" which meant the double bed was relaly just 2 single beds wedged together - nothing unexpected there. What was more annoying was the 2 single person duvets instead of a double duvet, that lead to me ending up without a duvet multiple times during the night. All and all this hotel hits the basic marks of cleanliness and modernity, but it simply fails to really make for a comfortable sleep.
Check in was very easy. Customer service was kind and very helpful. The room however, left a lot to be desired. It was very clean, and while space was tight, that's to be expected in Amsterdam. However, the bed was uncomfortable, the single pillow might as well have been made of paper, and the linens we're quite rough. There is very little sound proofing, we were able to hear conversations several rooms down, and doors opening and closing sounded like they were next to your head. The stairs up to the loft where the bed is and the bathroom door squeaked loudly. The A/C only worked intermittently, and changing settings didn't cause any change. The worst problem though was the skylights. There were large skylights, with no blinds to cover them. Lights from the building next to us shined directly into the room, moonlight kept the room too bright to sleep, and there was no way to filter day light once you finally managed to fall asleep. The location wasn't too bad, about a 15 minute walk to the Ferry directly to Amsterdam Centraal. The area is nice, we felt comfortable walking through at night. Unfortunately, the location couldn't make up for the room.
This was a very nice hotel. It was very clean and quiet. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The room was a nicely decorated loft/suite (stairs to loft were a bit steep) The hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk to the ferry at Ij Plein that goes to Amsterdam Centraal. The ferry does not run until later on Sundays so we had to arrange a cab for a Sunday morning departure. Not sure if there is a bus that goes to the hotel. We would stay here again.
Enjoyed our stay
Loved iHotel, it was quaint, quiet and well maintained. Loved Anna who went above and beyond to help us with tour travel alternatives. The only concern that other travelers should know is that it was a .9 mile walk to the Ferry to go to the Amsterdam Central Station. The ferry is free and very convenient, but after a couple of days of walking the city, one does not look forward to the long walk back to the hotel ;-)
Hotel is still conveniently located w/in ctiy ctr
Amsterdam city is very amazing.Rich with historical heritage
The hotel was very nice for its price.
It is cheap and clean. Looks very new. The staff is nice and the breakfast is also good. It is far from the center of the city, but there's a bus stop nearby where there are buses every 5 minutes or so to the central station.
Comfortable stay
Very clean and comfortable hotel which I had a pleasant stay in. There were just a couple of small negatives - firstly there was no glass / cup in the room for getting a drink of water. I had to go down to ask for this but one was then provided immediately. Secondly the front door to the hotel is always locked and you have to wait for somebody on reception to let you in. After I returned from being out for dinner I had to wait outside for a few minutes as there was nobody on reception to let me in. There isnt a great deal in the immediate area around the hotel from what I saw but it was an ok walk to the free boat across to the centre of Amsterdam.
Urban hotel to live in for youngsters.
Walkable distance to ferry or by bus. Great breakfast food. Staff was great and helpful. Always offer any ways to help.
Good breakfast and clean
Rooms were on the small side, not much in terms of lockers or anything, but everything was functional. The meal area was good, but the walls are a bit thin so you can hear everything including sound from the outside. Staff was courteous and the food was good. My complaint is that the beds are not comfortable and pretty small. That said, it's fine to stay in a night or two.
Good location, good value, great price
Great location with easy access to the center of the city by short bus ride or 20 minute walk and free ferry. Good size room with awesome bath tub. Bed was just a pad on wood with very thin pillows but not awful. Narrow staircase to climb to room and somewhat noisy from other guests letting their heavy doors slam.
Reception staff werre awesome.
Reception staff were amazing from check in to check out. You could not ask for better
Noisy neighbors and cleaning staff that woke me up. If they didn't, a broken air conditioner did when it made a weird noise every twenty minutes or so.
Precio calidad muy buena, cercano al ferry. Lejos del centro
Billigt
Quite central but you hear everything from your neighbour
Yes good choice
Very budgetty hotel. Overall very good. It's a bit far from the ferries and from the center. There is a big supermarket 500 meters away. A disadvantage is that there is a bad smell between the reception and the rooms.
clean and nice
Ottima posizione e struttura
Mal dort.
Good location with friendly staff.
Zimmer ohne Fenster, einen bestimmten Geruch in Hotel.
Sauberes Zimmer, sehr nettes Personal..

1 stop from the central train station, restaurants nearby, very clean, nice rooms-on the small side.
