Excellent customer service and check-in. Clean hotel with friendly staff. Recommended.

Very friendly staff. Front desk waived our parking fees. Door boy offered great help in handling our luggages and it's tip-free. This is in big contrast to US where you pay a lot of tips and they just take it for granted and service still sucks.

I stayed 6 nights for a visit. Great location, wonderful service and staff! The only thing Is not up to the my satisfaction is that the air conditioning is not working well or not able to be adjusted to lower temperatures.

Awaiting for a large group guest checking in ahead of me. Very slow process, waited for more than 25 minutes in the line. Room is clean. The lobby does not have sitting area or other amenities. Would not recommend.

The only down side is the food! They are in shanghai, the food can be made better!

Service wise, us is better

it's a very comfort hotel, I have stayed here twice. But I found the cleaner have not given enough soap, body lotion and body wash after cleaned the room. I have to call the staff to give me more. Normally, they will leave you one spare soap and body wash etc. but they didn't do this time for some reason.

Nicely appointed, clean, generally quiet ( although hallway noise was certainly noticeable). But my biggest complaint was the WIFI quality. I was in a video meeting, and my Wifi kept dropping, and with it audio and video. We tried various other platforms, always with the same result. Unhappy about needing to cut meetings short these days because of WIFI and limitations of 5G in China.

Directly connected to 5 malls on each coner of Wujiaochang and subway all connected under cover. ton ton of dining options in the malls and underground. Hotel is very nice, clean, comfortable and mordern.

The toilet door in my room was faulty during the 3rd day of my stay but the hotel handled the situation well and changed my room to the same level so it’s easier for me to move. The location is good, it’s near the metro, nearby with big malls , food and all. Awesome!

chinese no speak english

clean, good food, but people at front desk don't speak english, they gave a very hard time to check in an worst to check out almost 20 minutes to check out, they can't understand a thing, almost missed my flight

Not so good was - terrible internet connectivity, could not access the internet 90% of our stay. Bed was a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise everything else was great

Nice location, i like the location which connect to shipping mall; more fun to shipping around after dinner; very pleasant place to stay for vacation.

Large and comfortable rooms, good pool & sauna etc, good food in the various eateries. Great little cafe in the lower lobby for a quick breakfast, too. Receptionist Beth was very helpful with a late check-in and other minor assistance.

The hotel is close to the subway and connected to a very nice shopping mall, so very convenient.

It’s Chinese holiday and Wujiaochang is the busiest spot of the city. Just enjoy the everything in the mall.

although the location of the hotel is slightly further to the bund, but the its located 5min away from the subway station. takes around 20mins to travel to the bund from subway. The room is nice and cozy with new and good room facilities such as HDMI port, big 42 inch tv, bath tub, automated blinds etc.

When we were there, the hotel had a construction at the entrance but they had not put any English sign how to get in the hotel entrance so we can’t find the bellboy and had to walk from department store near by.

Overall experience was pleasant. Lobby staff was not exceptionally helpful comparing to the international standards if the hotel is operated under the Hyatt brand.

Under my expectation.

We stayed at Hyatt Regency Wujiochang so many times because it is near to our daughter university. But the overall quality is gradually less and less. The staffs at the check-in counter were very slow. The breakfast at club lounge was terrible. The food quality were not good.

Shanghai Getaway

Wonderful hotel! Great location next to malls with lots of restaurants, shops. Beautiful pool. Easy to access Shanghai Metro.

Overall not satisfied.

Staffs don't speak English very well. So I had a quite a few times of troubles in communicating with them. Services need to improve. One day during my stay there was a water leakage on the ceiling. I wanted to check out the hotel but was told I couldn't because my reservation was non-refundable. Nor did the hotel compensate for the inconveniences I experienced. Overall not satisfied.

We were almost charged a partial day due to an early arrival, in spite of already paying for a 15-night reservation... Fortunately, a person that understands "the big picture" helped us a little later that morning and they didn't even consider anything so absurd, under these circumstances. Maid service was superior and hotel is extremely generous with water bottles. The WIFI was the only disappointment. 1-5 MBPS made it almost impossible for me to conduct business during my stay. If I don't return to this exceptional hotel, it will be due to the WIFI preventing me from staying in touch with my office.

Room was clean and housekeeping did a good job. However the service was not on par with other Hyatt hotels. The front desk staff were not very helpful except the manager. The worst thing is the strong renovation smell. There were constant pollutants in the air and this was apparent when you first step in to the hotel. We had sore throats and difficulty breathing as a result.

A good stay overall

The hotel is very clean and neat. It is located in a not so popular area and it is quiet. Reception can be improved.

Beautiful Hotel, Awesome location in Wujiaochang

Walking distance to everything you need! Awesome hotel, awesome location in the heart of one of Shanghai's top shopping districts.

It was just a one night stay so can't discuss anything about the room service, because when we arrived, it's already 12 midnight. The room was clean and all necesities are there as we expected. However, the room is a little bit small compared to other hotels. Might be the room type that we selected. Overall good quality.

Housekeeper's Nut Job - see photos

The housekeeper places 2 bags of nuts in the coffee/tea draw (usually for free items). At the end, Hyatt Regency charged me $80 (or $40 for each bag). None of the itesm in the mini-bar are labeled with prices, including the two bags of peanuts - purposely placed - so don't leave any tips for house cleaners at this Hyatt Regency.

Watch out for the Housekeeper's "Nut Job"

Be careful with the housekeeper (room service) as she puts two packs of peanuts in the draw (or tray) with the coffee and tea. The bags of coffee and tea are free, but the bags of "nuts" are not - a very small bag (like the one on airplanes) costed Y40+ RMBs (or $5+ USD) plus the bank transaction fees. This is how the hotel's housekeepers get their tips for a "nut job" they do - they purposely placed the on-sale items in the free caffee/tea box/tray!

Bad restaurant service

The room was great. However, the service of the restaurant was not even okay. The buffet was too expensive and the service person was not friendly.

Very Comfortable Stay

The check in was done efficiently. The staff spoke in English fluently. Room was spacious and clean. Staff was helpful to get me a taxi to travel to a place which is not well known.

Hyatt Regency Wujiaochang

Probably the best hotel in the area, but that's not saying much. The room itself is large and pleasant but the air-conditioning does not function well. Food is average.

Very new hotel with good service

The man on level 1 was especially helpful as we visited during Chinese New Year and there wasn't a lot of taxis available but he kept calling for us to make sure we got one and was so polite and friendly!! The staff at the breakfast buffet was great too! Very nice, very pleased and definitely will come back. The hotel was of course impeccable, new and very big room.

convenient location

The first upscale hotel on east side of wujiaochang. It is particular convenient that this Hyatt is connected to metro station through the massive underground shopping / eatery mall.

位置很好，五角場中心地帶，可以從五角場地鐵站直5號出口直接到達，並且可以在合生汇商場穿過去，風吹雨打都不怕。 酒店乾淨，房間大，衛浴乾濕分離，十分不錯。 室內游泳池也有冷、暖水之分，工作人員也挺熱心的。 唯一想要改善的是房間內的溫度，一直維持在24-24度，不能自行調節，熱得我們吃不消！
