Staff very helpful but up against at breakfast. No room at breakfast someti.es having to wait.
New hotel nice and clean.
a fantastic place to stay. Clean and quiet. Amazing set up for people with disabilities. Breakfast option is a must. Staff are polite, helpful and made our stay fabulous.
Nice hotel
Terrible
Worst hotel service I have ever experienced and no where to park apart from a very risky parking lot from NCP. We checked out 2 days early and forfeited the cost of room and parking.
Had a great stay!
Friendly and accommodating staff, comfortable room with everything you need for short stay.... Only complaint was bar was closed early at night and cheap lager in cans they sell is gross.....
We had a great stay. The room, the gym, restaurant and the area were perfect. Will probably stay again in the future.
Really good stay
Nice hotel in terms of modernisation. Staff are nice and polite. Breakfast is lovely with nice options. The room decor is clean but too clinical and plain. Facilities in the room are poor. No handwash or soap just the stuff in the shower. No shaving mirror and no shaver outlet. The heating wouldnt work the 1st day and when reception said somone would come and have a look, noone turned up, at all!! The shower is a walk in and wasnt draining properly. As a result the bathroom flooded. As it was late i managed to get the water to drain and mopped up. So on leaving the hotel i reported this and they apologied saying they are sorry and not sure how they can compensate. So did nothing at all lol I wouldnt stay again here for the price they charge. There are much better options in the area.
Heating not working up to 30° and no warm air at all.
Could hear toilet flushes from adjacent rooms, the walls are so thin. Nearest good parking, where you don’t get your windows smashed, causes a fortune, I paid £90 for a day and a half stay. They should be clear about it in the advertising and description.
Hotel is in a great location close to Aldgate East tube station, so easy for getting around. Only a short walk away from Brick lane and Spitalfields market. Hotel is very nice, we had a deluxe king which had very comfy beds and nice pillows. We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but found there were some amazing cafes nearby where we had breakfast/brunch each day. Exmouth coffee roasters was particularly good. Amazing coffee and breakfast was delicious. Not much choice for eating out close to hotel in the evening is the only downside. Lots of fast food places down Brick lane but nothing we really fancied. My only criticism of the hotel was them trying to charge for extras without informing you. First of all when checking in on self check in, they tried to charge £11 service charge. I had to go to the main reception for over ride this. I don’t see why I should pay for a service charge when I am yet to have service. Also they tried to charge for the some water provided in the bedroom. It’s a 4 star hotel, so bottled water should be provided as standard anyway, but if you plan to charge for these things, you must make it clear in the rooms that this is the case so guests can make an informed decision. Other than that, no complaints. We found the area fine, just what you would expect in central London. I wouldn’t wander around on my own at night, but that’s no different from any other major city at night.
Not a great location
The location of the hotel is not in the best surroundings. The restaurant in the hotel did not recognise the rewards from my platinum status from hotels.com
.
Great property in London. Staff is very helpful and accommodative. Good breakfast. Spacious and clean rooms. Lots of dining options. Trains and busses. Very walkable.
Area is awful even taxi driver warned us , showers have limited draining but everything else perfect
Not recommended
Room wasn’t ready. Vip status was not honored. Room in terrible condition. Bathroom cleanliness inexistent. Manager sarcastically interacted with me. Mocking me for the things I complained about. Person in the bar Osama absolutely disrespectful. Manager Laura was the only one that kind of fixed things even thou she offered drinks that I ended up paying for. Terrible. Management overall. Not recommending this place to anyone.
The hotel itself was nice, location was good for getting into the city. Just a shame the area was rundown and dirty.
Could not fault the staff, they were all so friendly and helpful.
Ok for local. Us ones but not for sightseeing
This is a good hotel but the best area. The local pub selection was not great, the restaurant at the hotel was not very good. There is a shelter a block away so lots of young men lurking around. Ok for business but not for sightseeing.
Great hotel, staff and service was really good. The room was clean and the house keeping was great. Short walk to the underground station and plenty of food options around the area.
Great location and awesome staff.
Overall it was fine. We received dirty towels and we heard a buzzing noise during the night like there was washing machines on top of our head. The roof bar was always busy so we never got to experience it. Staff was really nice.
Very nice staff. Maid service came daily and they were excellent. Front desk allowed us an early check which was really appreciated after the red eye flight. We booked a room to accommodate 3 and were given a handicap room with a low sink and wide open shower. The shower took a little getting use to with water splashing all over the bathroom floor. Extra towels were needed to place around the shower area to keep water from traveling. The pull out couch worked for the 3rd person but could not be folded for some reason. We booked the room assuming it was a regular room. The basement restaurant was okay if you didn't want to leave the hotel, but there were other choices on the street that had bigger menus. The breakfast buffet was offered to us free of charge to just try it, (very nice of the host to offer), it was very convenient if you didn't have time to venture out for breakfast. The roof top bar offered a fantastic view and was a sweet way to end the night with flat bread pizza and drinks. The entrance to the hotel always had a staff member monitoring who's coming in and out and were very courteous and helpful if you chose to use the automated check out system. We typically stay at the large chain hotels (Marriott, Sheraton, Hilton....), and were not disappointed with this Hyatt. FYI Bicycles are very common here, you have to watch out for these folks speeding by. We saw a few crashes involving bikes. The location was great to grab the underground.
Smart, comfortable hotel at modest price
Well located, not smartest part of town, but fairly central and close to tube, and some decent cafes etc nearby. Room was smart and comfortable, in a modern hotel. Smart rooftop bar too. We didnt try the restaurant. Overall very happy at a decent price
The neighborhood was terrible & unsafe
The hotel itself was extremely extremely clean, and the room was well appointed. The staff were pleasant and helpful. However, the area near the hotel was less than desirable. There are some good restaurants nearby and a Tube station. However, the park across the street was filled with people sleeping on the grounds and the streets were dirty. Before arriving, I called the hotel to find out about parking. I was told that the closest parking deck I had a person with machete running around, and to opt for the Minories Car Park instead because it was safer & had security.
Good clean and nice hotel in. Enter with easy link. Breakfast was very good. Gym small and nice to have
Wonderful
Super friendly and helpful staff. Top-floor terrace was nice. Comfortable bed blackout curtains good soundproofing = good nights sleep. Unimpressive shower. Basic shower head, low water pressure. Good options for breakfast but poor consideration of vegetarians in the hot food section. The veggie sausages were next to the meat ones, and people can easily use the same utensils for both. Same with the cheese, placed next to the ham and people can mix up the utensils. This put me off, so I didn’t eat any hot food. No shaver socket in the bathroom, so I had to buy a plug adapter for my electric toothbrush. Cleanliness was okay but not great: a bit of dust on the lampshades and top shelf of the cupboard, small stain on outside of toilet bowl, stains on the bathroom wall. Lively area, lots of food options and easy transport options.
Nice rooms but awful sleep
Hotel entrance is not very welcoming. Loud music and a bad smell coming from the public toilet near reception. The twin rooms its self was large and very clean. Didn’t sleep very well. If you like a dark room then this isn’t for you. Hotel hallway lights always on and a large gap under the door, so that shines through all night. Bathroom has a small green light on 24/7 so that shines through into the room as well. Also a flashing smoke detector in the room. We were on the first floor so you could still hear the underground trains passing every 10-15 minutes. Air con had a nice constant flow and was quiet.
I had a very friendly welcome at reception and this standard was maintained throughout my stay. The room was spacious and clean, and if like me you like a cooked English Breakfast to start the day , then you won’t be disappointed. The surrounding area at first glance seems a little intimidating and dirty compared to other areas in London, but once you walk around and mix with the local community you soon feel safe and welcome. Overall it was exceptionally good value for London and the staff and the locals made the stay for me.
While quiet at night it did not feel safe to be walking after dark. Walking from train station after event at Wembley was uncomfortable
Excellent
Excellent hotel to stay and look around London
A very nice "modernly" designed hotel, how ever the local neighborhood is a little more care worn... but it is close to the Tube and easy to get to all the sights of London.
Nice hotel. Rougher neighbrhood.
Nice quiet hotel. The breakfast was great. Service was friendly and prompt. Neighborhood a bit sketchy. Great if it's light when you come in. After dark is a little uncomfortable.
That area not very safe but no any security in the hotel, feel unsafe
Wonder hotel
Excellent hotel i would say one of the best hotel in london city
The room was very spacious nice and clean. It was very quiet never was Disturbed once. And the staff was great to deal with.
Good and affordable hotel, with nice staff
Loved this lace was to get to the tube
Good
Great staff
Great hotel, terrible check in experience
The hotel is great but on arrival the auomated check in is time consuming , you cant skip any steps, its clearly designed to grab data which is private its a really poor slow stystem, that then didnt even work !! Eventually we were sent to check in downstairs with an acual human .....much better . But initially this gave a terrible impression of what is actually a great hotel . Lovely bar, large room, nice staff . Check out was equally badly designed, after leaving the hotel around 09.30 , and dropping key in box marked " quick check out" i was then e mailed to ask if i wanted to use the service . Good hotel, let down by poor processes .
Nice hotel
Professional staff
It was a very nice experience.Hoteĺ was very clean. The room was cold and there was no system to heat up the room.
Hotel is lovely, the area around it is not nice at all, no staff around when checking in or leaving
Top stay
Close to local amenities, good size room, friendly staff
Immaculate
…
All good
Staff was very informative and helpful to our needs. We were grateful to have two train stations within walking distance. The breakfast was also excellant.
Great location
Location was prefect for my business trip. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Also they had a room ready early.
This Hyatt was clean and well appointed, as is true of all Hyatts I have stayed in. I don't know why Hyatt chose this location to occupy. It is not convenient to public transportation and the area is generally poor and dirty.
Great hotel, location is very central and close to the public transportation lines. This makes it very convenient to use.
Clean and friendly staff
Don’t fall for the reviews that lie. Listen to me
The reviews are deceiving that are bought by corporations or businesses. The review in this hotel are lies. If you want truth. Please read this. First and foremost this hotel. This hotel is 2 1/2 stars at best. It’s tiny for a Hyatt and the rooms are TINY. More importantly, Hyatt lies about the sizes of the rooms on web sites. I don’t like that. Measure your rooms properly and give the right sizes so we can make informed decisions. The water pressure terrible. The tv was nice good size but very limited channels. The AC barely kept the room cool. It’s a joke for a Hyatt. Staff were great. But they had little to work with. The worst part of this booking were again the lies of how great the LOCATION was. Omg. The location is not great and the area of White Chapel is dirty. Garbage all over the streets. Couldn’t believe this was in London. Do not stay here if you want a clean area. The gym however was decent. It was a great gym for such a small hotel. The reality is on hotels.com this is ranked as a 9.0 Excellent hotel. Someone has paid for this bunch of garbage.
pleasant
comfortable stay would stay again
Great
Lovely spacious room. Lovely restaurant. Fitness centre is a bit small and limited but does the trick
Perfect
Lovely hotel, large modern room with fabulous shower, clean, efficient and friendly staff. Great breakfast.
Great Staff - very helpful
Visiting with my daughter for her hospital appointment. They went out of their way to be helpful and put is in an accessible room.
It was good we checked in early as requested in booking Justin so wonderful and after that evening we got assisted by Richard so amazing helping us charge my phone talked to us the ends and out of London since it’s our 1st time travel our dinner wasn’t good coz we came back late only pasta is available and next day Philip was super handful help us calling our flight going home in Us and asssist us directly where to ride tube coz we liked shopping and they hold our luggage’s before flight so accommodating I only give 4 stars because during breakfast I selected to sit outside and told me I can’t sit to those empty chair no reservation written and their breakfast Buffett was excellent I recommend this hotel ..
All good, perfect to stay in Shoreditch
Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Very comfortable, close to what we wanted or easy pickup for uber.
It was cloudy and moody, and I loved it! I’d have been disappointed if it was a sunny. It was prefect EastEnd weather.
Will not stay again
Terrible location, it’s like a war zone! The hotel itself is too cramped, awful check in experience. Don’t bother with breakfast
.
Clean, friendly staff
Lovely spacious room. Very clean. Good facilities in the room. Large shower with nice toiletries provided.
We loved how close it was to bus stops and the tubr tetminal and resturants. The front desk staff was super helpful when our flight got delayed and we needed to stay another night
Easy, comfortable and great location
The hotel was clean, comfortable, convenient to public transit, and in a great location. Definitely check out Old Spitalfields Market and Brick Lane, and go a little further north for a very interesting and art-filled neighborhood with great food!
Well exceed my expectation
First time in London and we were questioning the location of this hotel at the start, but it’s so close to an Underground Station and was within walking distance of Brick Lane and Spitalfields Market. There were lots of dining options within 1 mile, as well. We loved it and the staff was top notch.
Got better after initial impression
Initial impressions were poor, the self check-in stations were overseen by a really unhelpful member of staff, she couldn’t have been any less unhelpful to us, or another couple checking in. We went up to the top bar, only to have to wait for 20 mins to get served, when it was extremely quiet. Thankfully all the other staff following this were great, they helped to change our view over the couple of days. Breakfast was good and it was really clean. Thanks to the lovely staff - perhaps feedback and coaching to the lady who didn’t seem to want to be there (or us for that matter).
Great location, clean, stylish hotel
I picked this hotel having stayed here once before, knowing that it is clean, stylish and in a great location to get around London, with Aldgate East just a few metres away and Whitechapel station reasonably close too. Lots of great eateries around, next door to Brick Lane. The negatives are the rooftop bar being closed on Sunday, and the vegan breakfast options were extremely poor - However just go to Dauns round the corner.
Good location for the east side of London, including Tower of London, Tower Bridge, the City, Spitalfields Market and Brick Lane. The roof top bar was gorgeous, the rooms clean and very quiet. The cooked breakfast was a bit bland, but there was plenty of choice for alternatives.
Very Average hotel . Rooms are poorly decorated and don’t appear fresh and clean . Shower gel bottle was empty and their was a hair in the shower . Restaurant is too small for the number of guests. Location is handy for the tube . On reflection a premier inn Would have been a better choice
Modern and safe. Well staffed. Urban area but it’s walkable and close to the hospital and some good restaurants. Mostly a middle eastern population but very wonderful people. Taxi service is a little bit pricey to get to most attractions of London. 8.5/10
Nice hotel. Unsafe area.
Nice hotel. Decent bathroom. The only downside is that it is two blocks east of where the neighborhood gets sketchy. The rooftop deck is only accessible for the bar/restaurant and so if you want to smoke you'll have to go out front. We spoke to a staff member about the safety out front and they just shrugged. Someone who was clearly mentally unbalanced threatened to stab me in the head. Good proximity to the tube.
Loved the room. We had a sofa at the end of the bed, in front of a large TV. Comfortable bed .the roof terrace bar is amazing, will definitely be coming back
I felt quite unsafe to see that the main gate of the hotel closes at midnight. I had to ring the bell to open it. Didn't experience anything dangerous but the area is not the safest.
Good hotel, interesting area
Good hotel but expected a bigger room, we had a corner room and felt a bit crammed, also no socket near the coffee kettle tray so had to move it around. Did love that check in was allowed a bit earlier. The area is good, Brick Lane and other local ethnic spots, loads of food options
This hotel is on a busy street in a busy area, but you would never know that sitting inside our room. We had a great stay.
Friendly staff
Excellent hotel and location. The staff were very friendly, and couldn't do enough for us. Will definitely be back again.
Clean, Modern Hotel
Really helpful and friendly staff! We were then for a hen do and they really looked after the bride which was lovely. The rooms were mostly clean and warm. Lovely commodities in the room such as a light-up mirror (great for makeup), kettle, hairdryer, safe and fridge. Huge TV, and very comfortable bed. Would absolutely stay again!
Mum's 60th trip
Staff were genuine and provided the best customer service I have experienced in a long time, from start through to the end of the trip. All of my family (group of 8) are in agreement
Modern stylish hotel
Lovely modern hotel with an excellent team running breakfast. Really efficient and helpful and accomodated my husband's need for gluten free bread each day.
Did what it said
Hotel did what it said perfectly well, bed was very comfortable Only negative was we found a few blond hairs on the back of the sofa but that might be knit picking
Great hotel with amazing rooftop bar a short walk from the City.
The hotel staff went above and beyond with making our stay for our engagement celebrations super enjoyable
Well situated hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and comfortable room.
Excellent
We loved this hotel. Such a convenient location near several tube stations and bus routes. The hotel was stylish, modern, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, very welcoming. We would definitely stay here again.
Good clean comfortable accommodation and great breakfast. Shame reception was not at ground level.
Great location
Great location for Whitechapel, easy access to underground. Great in room facilities, charging plugs, TV, coffee and tea, ironing facilities, hairdryer in the room.
