Breakfast was very good. Did not like the espresso coffee machine in kitchen. Prefer regular coffee machine
We stayed here while visiting family over the holidays. The staff were polite and knowledgeable, and I appreciated having the complimentary breakfast. The beds were a little firm but the pillows were perfect - not so big your neck would hurt from sleeping on them. Also, the shower pressure was fantastic. I hate going to a hotel where you can’t wash your hair because the pressure is so weak. I loved how historic this area was and how close you are to the museum and other downtown Victoria attractions. I would stay here again.
Great location- very friendly staff!
The view
Nice
Great breakfast staff and Hannah at the front desk is a jewel.
I didn’t realize breakfast was included which was a great perk as it’s buffet style. The tea house was next door and looked lovely Close proximity to everything.
Thank you, first time staying at this property and loved it.
We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The check in was easy and the room is alright.
Atmosphere great, beds comfy, breakfast mid.
The hotel has a great location right off Belleville, and the room we had was spacious, and the beds were actually comfortable! That said, one of the reasons I chose this hotel was the included breakfast - and it left a lot to be desired. The potatoes and eggs needed a visit from the seasoning fairy, the juices tasted odd, and there was always a bottleneck by the waffles and other bread items. It wasn't bad - it just wasn't as good as I'd hoped it would be.
Without an upgraded room. I wouldn't stay here.
Beautiful old, albeit updated and well - maintained, hotel. Delightful breakfast room. Great location and only steps from the ferry terminals. We've stayed here many times, and hope to be back regularly.
staff was absolutely lovely and our room was extremely clean
Friend staff, convince to downtown,
Great stay
All almost good
Not a good hotel
It was not good at all. First the room was not getting locked and when we called for service they said they don’t have maintenance. Than we had to ask for room change as we were 4 girls and did not feel safe.
Great location. Full breakfast included. Balmoral room huge
Hotel Review I recently stayed at the Huntington Hotel and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making check-in and any inquiries a breeze. The complimentary breakfast was a standout—delicious with plenty of variety to suit everyone’s tastes. The rooms and facilities were also very clean, which I really appreciated. However, one major drawback was the noise level. The walls seemed paper-thin, and I could hear almost everything from the surrounding rooms and even guests walking down the hallway. This made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep, especially during busy hours when others were coming and going. Overall, it’s a decent option if you’re a heavy sleeper or don’t mind some background noise. The service, cleanliness, and breakfast were all top-notch, but the lack of soundproofing may be a dealbreaker for light sleepers.
A great stay!
Terrific room and wonderful breakfast!
Excellent location. Clean rooms. Great value.
The included breakfast was great. Unbeatable location. Would stay here again.
A good 3 day getaway
A good location close to the harbor. The staff were excellent and the continental breakfast was an added attraction. The underground parking was also a benefit to our stay. Finally compared to other hotels the Huntington was reasonable priced. I would definitely consider staying in the future at this hotel
Lovely dog friendly hotel with awesome breakfast.
Clean, close, beautiful
So close to everything, shopping, eating, waterfront. Very quiet atmosphere. Loved the buffet breakfast in the morning.
The breakfast and breakfast area was lovely. The room was adequate and sparely furnished.
The staff is always pleasant and helpful. They let us check our bags into a locked storage room between the time we arrive on the ferry and our room becomes available, and again after we check out and before we board our ferry. We love the seafood restaurant, Harbor House, across the street. Formal afternoon tea is available here.
Good getaway in Victoria
All good except the manner of Michael the front desk clerk who checked us in. He was rather surly and sarcastic in tone. Breakfast was very good.
Charming
The Cambridge loft was perfect for us and our 2 daughters. We were able to walk around the harbor and dt. Staff were great and quick with bringing blankets and pillows for pull out bed. Breakfast was so good with many options. Fire alarm did go off at 730am but it was probably someone using fire exit. Frustrating but quickly turned off.
The front desk girl with a Russian accent was extremely rude. She was angry about something and was very foney and verbally aggressive, answering simple questions about a fire alarm and fire truck that had woke everyone up earlier in the morning. We wanted to know what happened and had asked hours after it woke us up. Every other time I have stayed here, it has been perfect, but one bad apple, as they say.
Excellent
A very enjoyable 2 night stay. Great breakfast, comfortable quiet room. Will definitely return.
We loved our stay! The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. Parking was easy. Breakfast in the tea house was delicious and charming. The hotel is super well situated so walking is easy to James Bay, the Inner Harbour, downtown, Fisherman’s Wharf, etc. The staff were wonderful too. When I called the front desk a couple of days before arrival to coordinate a birthday surprise for my teen, they were very accommodating. And then, as a thoughtful extra, upon checking in we found a card in the room with birthday wishes. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again; and cannot wait to come back. Thank you so much.
I have stayed at Huntington Manor House on and off since they first opened in the 1980s. The service has been consistently good, level of cleanliness high, and the area is lovely. The building is tarting to show signs of wear, but there are also signs of upgrading happening. Would recommend this hotel without hesitation.
The room was very noisy, from people walking overhead to blaring tvs next door.
One night stay not much feed back.
Everything
Great staff. Unfortunate we were not told we would be in the middle of renovations. Hump at the entrance to underground parking badly scraped the bottom of our car. Scrapes in concrete indicate this has been the case for quite some time.
Beds are a bit high for people about 5 feet & 6 inches tall. All the pillows were thick and firm [ not comfortable for me].
Hot breakfast was very convenient. Rooms and beds were very comfortable.
Great Place to Stay, Great Breakfast. Everything nearby.
We were warmly welcomed by the staff.
Overall great experience
Beds were comfy, clean room, great complementary breakfast, efficient staffs, good location - what else we could expect from a reasonable price!
We were just in town for an extra night on the tail-end of a Tofino trip. We wanted a place that was central to the restaurants downtown, was affordable, and where we could feel comfortable as we recovered from a busy weekend on the coast. Everything was great!
Great property except for the slightly too thin walls. Could almost have joined in on an argument that was happening next door between a Mother and her kids.
.
This is about the 4th or 5th time staying here and I always enjoy it. Plus the beds are so comfy!!!
The location is great. Right in front of ferry terminal. Breakfast was incredible and good enough.
Very comfortable
Enjoyable stay
I have not stayed at this hotel for a while and even though they were under renovations in the main dining room, they were able to compensate with the alternative dining room for breakfast and that was good, clean comfortable, and good location breakfast was excellent
Great location and classic hotel.
Very clean, great breakfast. Great location
Very helpful staff
Great place to stay downtown. Central and convenient. All staff was excellent. A pleasure to stay.
nice quiet hotel, rooms large and spacious
My sister and i booked this as a last minute trip to the city. Great location, close to the water and food options. The breakfast on site was delicious and had a lot of variety. The room was a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. We'd stay again
Excellent hotel! Executive suites room with balcony was second to none & the complimentary breakfast was fantastic. Will regularly make this a place to stay whenever I'm in Victoria.
The hotel is a bit old but has a great location, and accomodates dogs which was great! Hannah at the front dek was lovley and helpful.
Downtown Victoria! Cool room with a loft bed and kitchen, Great breakfast included
This is a great location, great price! Breakfast included, the breakfast looked great, all the hot items were cold. Cooffe juice and fruit were great would have loved peanut butter 🙂 The ambience of the tea room made up for the cold potatoes. Iwe would definitely stay here again and highly recommended it.
Everything was very good
Clean room and stuff were very nice and friendly.
We reserved a pet friendly room. After a lengthy wait for check-in, we went to the room and the key card didn’t work. When we eventually entered the room we were met with a strong stench of an animal or wet dog. We opened the windows but it didn’t help so we requested another room which we received. The hotel is very dated, not particularly well maintained, the lobby stairs were under repair and presented a trip hazard and the place looked tired overall. The complimentary breakfast was a disappointment, the waffles we ordered came at room temperature and were heavy and granular, tasting like cardboard, probably out of a box. I couldn’t eat them. The staff, however, were friendly and accommodating. The beds were comfortable. In general, the hotel was a 2 star at 4 star prices. There are many better options in downtown Victoria for a similar price.
Liked everything about property, however the hot breakfast on the third floor was much better on the first morning than the second mornings breakfast at the Pendrey. Staff over all were excellent.
This was a really special find. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Victoria. Our room had a very well stocked kitchenette and we used it for various meals. The room was very clean, the breakfast (included) was really good, the staff was friendly. All-in-all, a great place to stay in this city.
Nice Hotel great location
We had a pleasant stay for the evening. The room was clean and comfortable.
Really nice loft
The floor/room that we stayed in was very dated. It didn't look much like the photos that we saw online. It did however, have a great location and was in a quiet area.
Coming back
I love this hotel. Close to Parliament buildings, loft bedrooms, friendly, engaged, smiling service. Nice breakfast.
Kind staff that went out of their way to accommodate me. I had a last minute work call and they were kind enough to let me check out a few hours beyond the normal checkout time to take the call in my room. Beautiful facility right in the heart of the action in Victoria. Would definitely stay again.
The exterior of the hotel looks good but I was surprised how 'vintage' and dirty the property was. I see dust and stains on the coffee table, I can even see black dust on the ceiling fan. There was no baseboard heater in the room, gladly it wasn't too cold the night we stayed there. There was, I believe, an AC unit in the room, but no control or remote. The shower gel, shampoo and conditioner were all in a wall fixed dispenser, but it was so hard to get any of them out of the dispenser. My overall experience of this hotel is probably 3 out of 10 points.
Great, friendly and helpful staff. Comfy bed and clean room. Great breakfast. Option to upgrade to the teahouse next door. The only thing they don’t provide is body lotion in the bathroom, luckily we brought our own. Other than that I would recommend
Wonderful staff, breakfast was delicious and our room was perfect for our family
The staff was amazing
Very nice staff and great customer service
Great location. Liked the family suite.
We stayed in one of the older standard rooms last time we were in Victoria and they were very outdated but the layout and the size of the room were good and the beds comfortable. This time however we were offered a free "upgrade" to one of their newly renovated loft suites and we're really not fans of this room. The reno is a lot more updated as far as the flooring etc but the layout is awful with the two stories, there is a tv at the bottom of the stairs with a futon and the small kitchenette and then you go upstairs to get to your bed, you can't watch TV from bed and going up and down the stairs in the night to use the bathroom is super noisy and annoying. Also we find there is a lot of noise from the hallway and other rooms that comes through the walls. It's also pretty dark in our room even with all lights on. We will probably stay elsewhere next time or if they renovate the standard layout rooms we might try that.
This is a lovely, quaint property with wonderful staff. The location is fabulous, the rooms are clean and the complimentary breakfast was more than adequate. I would absolutely stay here again.
Great place close to everything, staff was very kind! Breakfast was great, clean, beds were very comfy !! Would definitely stay again :)
The room was nice but it was dated because we had a pet with us they should be upgraded especially the bathrooms other than that everything was very good
Great place to stay right by the Harbour. Clean and comfortable rooms. Lots to see and do nearby, along with great dining options walking distance.
Beautiful property and a fantastic location. The staff was helpful, quick and professional.
If you have pets this is the place for you they had doge beds and water dishes for our furry friends 5☆☆☆☆☆
Liked the rooms, clean and unique Breakfast was okay, but after day 3 i got tired of the same menu I love the property overall , close to everywhere. I would stay again
Great location, comfy beds, affordable, large spacious rooms, secure parking.
Loved the location
Took my son for first trip to BC and it was lovely! Great breakfast and friendly staff
The renovations are superb
I was very satisfied. I needed a pet friendly and they even offered an allergy free pet treat and a bowl for you pet
Downtown location is perfect for visitors. Hotel has some age but is maintained well. Clean. Some hallway noise. Breakfast is a 4 out of 5. Area feels safe.
This hotel is just amazing, love it and will come again
Amazing. Good breakfast choices, very clean room, cozy bed, really good service.
Great experience. Very well located.
Amazing place
Room was spacios, with many amenities .
Comfortable and convenient
Fantastic. Looking forward to.the next stay!
I like this hotel. I'm staying there for the second time.
Overall good vibes. Room wasn't fully clean. But otherwise happy with the experience.
Nice area. The staffs are nice.
