Surprisingly great
I stayed 4 nights and was surprised by the comfort.. I recommend.
Dated hotel, but friendly and clean
The hotel is dated, but the room was clean, staff was friendly, and the price was good. By 11pm mostly quiet. Great places to eat nearby.
They charge $10 extra for everything and washroom was not cleaned
Mild smell Wet stains on ceiling Very old Dirty carpet
Thought because it was Howard Johnson approved it would have decent standards. It has none . Would not deal with the noise and disruption that ran all night . Everything except the lobby is worn out paint ,repairs etc . Never again will I trust a Howard Johnson approved property
The property is in a state of disrepair. In the room the toilet was not functioning properly, the flap was worn out resulting in constant running. The sink was concave around the drain resulting in standing water remaining constantly. The shower control mechanism was not screwed in completely or broken. Could not effectively control the temperature of the water. The neighbours appeared to be living there and were watching loud TV shows until 3AM. There did appear to be a lot of people that were "residents" at the Inn. Not family friendly.
It’s nice for the price. Clean room. Outdated, but I don’t live here, I’m not worried about the resale. No bugs, clean, safe place to sleep. Would definitely recommend.
We all enjoyed our stay!
We had two rooms booked for a family vacation and we were all satisfied with our stay. We would definitely return again.
Price and service
New staff, new rules .. and i have to look for other hotel, she is student, soom he going back to there own country .. im nit impress
Staff of friendly and clean...
Was ok for what i was expecting
Air-conditioning was too much novice. Washroom was discusting. No Microwave and no fridge. Very bad experience.
Price
Nice hotel, friendly staff.. we had a pleasant stay
Normal Hotel
Room is good
The facilities lacks cleanliness and maintenance.
It’s not a safe area especially when you’re visiting with kids.
The staff member was so nice, the place is quiet and safe
It was a good experience. The staff were accommodating to us and even to our dog
Staff: attentive, informative and kind Safe and good night sleep. Someone parked in parking spot in front of our room. Cigarette smoke smell (possibly as our window was left opened/not noticed because of curtain - cold for part of night. Squeaky bathroom doors and washroom water run (room 108) No protein serving at breakfast (no yogourt, egg or cheese)
Older motel but comfortable and friendly
The hotel is a bit outdated, but I was aware of this when I booked. That said, the rooms were clean and comfortable. Check-in and check-out were both quick and easy. The layout of the breakfast area was a bit frustrating—it felt a little disorganized. However, the offerings were great: make-your-own waffles, fruit, muffins, cereal, juice, coffee, and tea. It was the perfect breakfast for us. There do seem to be some long-term residents at the hotel, but they didn’t bother us at all.
toilet bowl wiggly, bath tub slightly slippery, housekeeping did not empty the trash xan
Poor
Worst hotel I've ever stayed at! Absolutely disgusting
Room was.clean. one of the beds was kind of loose. Property needs some love
Outstanding Service and Honesty! I’d like to give a big thank you to the amazing staff at Howard Johnson by Wyndham Niagara Falls. Almost a month ago, I accidentally left my camera stand at the hotel. When I returned today and asked about it, they had kept it safe and returned it to me right away. I truly appreciate their honesty and excellent customer service. Special thanks to the niece of the staff who helped me with a smile. You all made my day!
Staff was amazing. Room was non smoking but reaked of cigarette smoke. Room was freezing. Jacuzzi didnt work. Walls are paper thin. Breakfast was mediocre at best.
Beds and tub were not clean
Breakfast was good, staff were friendly and helpful. All around good start.
Our room was filthy. There was old thick dust on the edge of everything. The room was advertised as a *suite* but had one small round table with one chair, for the four of us - which was incredibly rusty all around the base. It looked like it was picked from the garbage. The first issue was the toilet, which had no water in the tank for flushing. We called down to the front office and a maintenance man showed up that 'fixed' the issue, except the next time we used the toilet it happened again. We had to use the ice bucket to fill the tank in order to flush. The maintenance man was almost rude, had no manners and all he said was "it's fixed" on his way back out the door. The ceiling tile in the bathroom had water damage. All around the tub surround and the toilet was caked on dirt. I have worked in hotels as a cleaner and I can tell you that the standards that this Howard Johnson had were that of a homeless shelter. I will preface that we did not pay a lot for our room, but I picked this room because it is a Howard Johnson and I expected at least bare minimum. We were also travelling with a seven month old and you can imagine our surprise when we realized we didn't even have a fridge in our room. The t.v was smaller than standard and shoved in the back of the t.v stand that was meant for a tube t.v from 20 years ago. There was noticable dirt on the floor around the closet area. I don't blame the house keeper. I blame the owner for having such low standards.
It's what you would expect got the price. We'll worth it. If you want a nice clean place for cheap it's here. Even all inclusive in Mexico... We didn't have coffee in our room. Here we do! I've seen so much worse for more. Clean and jacuzzi works great for under 100$ is a steal.
Great price and deal. Cozy warm room. Our stay included complimentary breakfast everyday. Just an old property and could use some new carpets and furniture.
The staff were great. However the rooms definitely need some tlc.
Not as shown in the pictures, worse when you see by yourself.
This is a non smoking facility, but our room smelled bad and the pillows and beds had a distinct cigarette smoke smell. This resort is very old….cracked floor tiles, hair dryer holder pulled out of wall. Breakfast was just ok. No peanut butter to go with jam for toast. Would have liked some yogurt. Would not stay here again.
Was there for work... It Did the job
The bedroom was half of the things were broken holes in the walls colouring on the headboards beds are uncomfortable couches from the 1970s a draft from the front door as there was a gap with improper installation of approximately an inch and noise through the walls of above and beside no microwave was in our room could not reheat food
O
We just needed a quick one night stay with a comfortable bed We definitely did not get that Bed is horrible and uncomfortable Looked like a sleazy motel We had the worst sleep ever The bed kept tipping to one side People in the parking lot kept revving their engine in the middle of the night. We hardly got any sleep We did not feel safe in this location for 3 females
Value for money, nice clean room
The power kept shutting off, they had to change my room twice. Also the sink was leaking. There’s no continental breakfast, breakfast was bread & butter, cereal, fruits and coffee. This place has false advertisement.
I was charged extra for parking
Great place for the price, could use some updating but no to concerning. Definately needed more towels and some faceclothes in the room as i had to ask each night, but again, minor issue that the staff happliy rectified
Everything nice
The bed was very old, when we went to lay down to sleep both of us rolled to the center of bed. The dresser had a piece that was laying on desk the ceramic around the hot tub had cracks with clear duct tape on it
Suite 183 leaked water when using the jets in the jacuzzi. Yellow ceiling from previous smokers. Sink faucet sprays water everywhere. Old pillows. Arrived 5 minute late for breakfast and was rushed to pick what i wanted so they could clean it up left unsatisfied
Extremely noisy unfortunately
It was an affordable stay. But we had to sweep the dust bunnies out from under the bed and parking was extra and there was no laundry.
You get what you pay for. It is a very cheap room for a very cheap price so everything was as expected.
Just average
Affordable and located close to everything I need!
can’t beat it for the price
It was good! Check in was good an the room was.super clean. We got a king room unaware of the jucuzzi but at closer inspection we
It was value for money.
.
The whole management was great & beautiful
Washroom
Very friendly staff
Clean and quiet. The beds were not comfortable and a staff came into our room while we were out and turned the heat up to 32 degrees Celsius. It was so hot when we returned it was very uncomfortable
I got what i paid for essentially. The room i got had destroyed floors, outlets not attached to the wall. The area with the toilet and shower had stuff on the walls. The ceiling tiles have definitely seen better days. Live and Learn!
Lesson learned
It wasn’t nice. I slept with my clothes on because I was uncomfortable. The pillows were awful. The bed was hard. Underneath the sink, the cupboard had a rusty screw for a handle which didn’t open. I couldn’t get into the shower it was so dark and tiny. No blow dryer. Went for breakfast but left and went elsewhere. That is not breakfast. And the smell was not good.
Good
Property was good
Overall, it was a bit okay. The room is okay but the staff who checked us in is not hospitable enough to attend to us.
Great value for money. Friendly staff, good breakfast, lots of hot water
Dusty, plugged bath tub drainage, not much selection fir breakfast. Guy in the front desk is very friendly.
This property is in need of renovation. They have leaky sinks, burned blankets, worn carpets, damaged laminate strips, stained ceilings and much more. Property not worth more than $40 a night.
everything was broken, rusty and dusty,we couldnt open the room door by card key, asked for other people, poor breakfast, smelly room.
Good experience
Good
Staff is nice and helpful
Not clean
Cigarettes and stains?
The bed was broken and caved in in the middle. There were stains on the ceiling, no fitted sheet. It was a regular sheet that came off the mattress multiple times because it was caving. Cigarette burns and stains all over the mattress. The whole room smelt like cigarettes.
Disappointing Experience I recently stayed at this hotel and was deeply disappointed by the service. The staff were rude and unhelpful, which is far from the warm, welcoming Canadian spirit I expected. Hospitality should be about making guests feel valued, but unfortunately, that was not the case here. I hope the management takes steps to improve their customer service to align with the standards of genuine care and respect that travelers deserve.
Clean and easy to find. Good bang for buck
The hotel pictures did not look anything like the hotel. The hotel was dirty. The room had s funny smell. The washroom was not cleaned properly
Walls were covered in dust, the bathroom tub tap dripped all night. But what really was disconcerting was the large gap in the door making it feel very unsafe. Typically I go away with my daughter; thankfully this time I was with my husband who even felt uneasy enough wedge a chair under the handle. In addition large gaps around the air conditioner making very drafty. We are very dissatisfied.
Room had bad smell.
Don’t bother
When we got there, the receptionists could not put a smile on his face to greet us. I did not find them very friendly for people working in the hotel industry. They say they had parking and wee pet friendly but never mentioned on the site that there was a fee for it. So «surprise» at check-in. Breakfast was included from 6am to 9am, ok; but at 9:03am the staff would come take out the breakfast and they seem very eager to do so, even on a Sunday. The room was not soundproof so very noisy. Because of that, we had the chance to be part of a family feud in the room next to us: we could hear everything without being there too. Overall it was a bad experience and I will not go back there next time I’m in Niagara Falls on Lundy’s Lane.
Friendly staff, great parking. Everything is good for the buck. Good job!
You got what you pay for. This place was inexpensive with a low parking fee. Considering we just needed a place to sleep and keep our stuff while we visited the area, this did the job. The room was nice sized but had no microwave or refrigerator. We did not use the jetted tub mostly because after walking around all day, we were too exhausted. Breakfast was waffles, juice, coffee, muffins, fruit, hot and cold cereal the first day. The instant oatmeal was out for the second morning we were there.
I booked a room last-minute. The staff were friendly, room was clean, price was great (more expensive on weekends), and it was an easy commute to Niagara Falls.
staff was not freindly
The staff were very helpful and made things easy for us when we needed to change our reservation. Both rooms were very clean and tidy when we switched rooms due to our reservation. Would recommend this hotel as it is within walkable distance of everything and service was great. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable and we will be back to stay.
I’ve stayed in a lot of motels. This one was not very good.
Love everything
Accommodated early sign-in. Only charged $10 for parking. Clean towels. Friendly staff. Outdoor pool but not in season. Outdoor door so can access after the wedding. MacDonald's closeby.
Great place to stay. Affordable.
Absolutely horrible experience Staff was rude and unclear about rules for check-in
Was shocked that Wyndham would put their name on this hotel. It was very old and outdated and the shower is very very very small. The beds might be as old as the hotel. While the rooms are smoke free, people smoke right outside the room and the ac units bring it right into the room.
This property falsely advertised the quality of the rooms. The pictures we saw online were very different from the room we stayed in. The room we stayed in had old furniture and catpet, it was dirty, smelled like old smoke, and was in disrepair. The check-in process went well, but when we went to check out the next morning, nobody was to be found! We waited around for about 5 minutes; we called the desk twice, rang the doorbell, hollered into the back and nobody came for the checkout. We ended up leaving a note and our key cards on the desk, some hotels have a box to leave your cards in, but this one did not. We called later to verify the checkout, and the man on the phone apologized for not being there.
Overall it wasn’t bad, but the room could have been better maintained.
Awesome place
Please make some standard of your motel.
My experience was worst. I dont recommend specially with family to go there and stay. I just spent one night and check out next day in the morning. In balcony there was lots of cigarettes, this is not a good place to spend a quality time. Beds are not comfortable, washroom combots are not working and very dirty. Carpets are not clean. I was not happy to book a room in this motel. N yes this is a motel not a hotel. Thanks
Need more towels changed out only thing I found other then that it was ok
En realidad el servicio en general y el lugar muy placentero.
