Amazing location

Room was very dirty, hair in the bathroom floor when we arrived and continued to be there even after the "daily cleaning". The sheets where all stained with blood, so I hope we didn't get bed bugs. First night we stayed on a street front room which was super noisy until 4am, had to buy hear plugs. From the second night we were moved to an internal room, much quieter but equally dirty. Staff is friendly. The area is convenient. Would be ok if the price was half of what is advertised.

Property was amazing . Staff was very helpful and friendly. The only problem was it was very noisy late at night . Our room faced the street at you can definitely hear music. Wish it was more sound proof. Bring earplugs. They definitely help . Great place to stay otherwise. Traveled with family.

The hotel is 2 blocks away from the night life and the area was quiet and safe. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and it was always fresh because you order and they cook based on your request. Definitely I recommend this place.

Two things stood out 1) being two blocks away from the loud bar scene made this one of the few hotels that provides silence. 2) late checkout - 1pm versus all other hotels with 11am checkouts. Downside being that if you show up early your room will likely not be available until the 3pm checkin. Bonus- they serve breakfast on the outside patio which was very pleasant.

Great location and solid stay for the value

The negatives: The room always smells from something either coming out of the AC or coming from downstairs and it’s very overpowering! The AC is weak, so while the room was cool-enough during the day, as a hot sleeper — I was sweating every night. The weak AC also doesn’t help to regulate the constant smells. Only window was an iced-out sunlight, so essentially no window. Only 1 plug next to the bed + 1 full outlet in the bathroom, so bring a multi-device charger if you have one. Staff doesn't speak english, BUT we found that was the case most places and Google Translate works just fine. The positives: Staff is very friendly and attentive. Shower & tub are each huge and have excellent water pressure. Breakfast is delicious, quick, and filling: you can choose to have scrambled eggs (with or without cheese, ham, &/or sausage), coffee, fresh-squeezed orange juice, a bowl of delicious fresh fruit, toast, super fluffy yummy pancakes, and waffles. GREAT location: right in the heart of Poblado: quick walking distance to tons of great restaurants, bars, clubs, & conveniences. Only an 18 minute walk from the metro. Overall the hotel is a good value for its price.

I am so glad we chose Hotel Zone A over many other options that were available in Medellin. The check in was quick and they gave us the room even though we reached a few hours earlier than the check in time. Each and every hotel staff were very friendly. Breakfast was made to order but nothing great. The rooms were well appointed with clean sheets and spotless towels with bathrooms with hot and cold water with good pressure. Hotel is located at a quieter street with many fancy (but cheap) restaurants and cafes steps away from the hotel. In our next visit we will certainly stay in this hotel again.

Best hotel by far in the provenza lleras zone. All staff is great. Front desk best ever. Breakfast consists in fruits Eggs arepa bread juice coffee a good portion served at the internal or external terrace or you can order it to your Room which is included. I will go back for sure.

The property is very centrally located and has a friendly, accommodating staff.

The staff was courteous and kind at the check in but the checkout was unpleasant because they charge something I didn’t used. Charged one night when I couldn’t sleep and the next day I was waiting until noon to repair the AC. Finally they decided change the room smaller and different according the reserved previously. I hope my refund and apologies because I missed my dental appointment and some things more due all inconvenient caused for the all night long sweating and later wait for the technician repair the AC.

The hotel room smelled a bit damp and this was probably due to the lack of ventilation in the bathroom/room. The hotel is very close to some bars and lots of card pass the road outside and so can be quite loud at night. However it is in a great location with many restaurants and cafes nearby

Great Location!

Strategic and excellent location to all restaurants, clubs and tourist attractions near Parque Lleras. Clean rooms and the price was fair for what you get. There is some noise at night but it is expected if you want to be in the middle of everything. Great service by the Staff. I will come back.

This is a lovely little hotel in an excellent location, tucked in a corner of the Poblado district Staff are brilliant, very accommodating to our needs and additional requests. Rooms are spacious and clean (great showers!!) and the breakfast is a winner. And to top it all, a great price! Highly recommended

Good staff and customer service. Good location and the included breakfast was very good. The rooms offer absolutely zero noise protection. My first room which was located on the first floor at the street side was terribly noisy as i could hear every passing vehicle, pedestrian and bird. I found the mattresses on the bed rather uncomfortable as well.

Best overall hotel value in Medellin.

Hotel Zona A in Medellin's El Poblado district was a surprise find--super clean, comfortable, conveniently located and with friendly front desk staff. I've stayed in several hotels in different Medellin neighborhoods and Hotel Zona A is the best value by far for the price. I will definitely book here again when I'm in Medellin. One note--I would avoid the nearby Parque Lleras area for dinner--overpriced and not good quality--and instead walk or take a short taxi ride to the adjacent Manila neighborhood where you'll find an excellent selection of restaurants with much tastier offerings.

Hotel is professionally run and a great value given it’s close vicinity to everything. Staff members were all friendly and helpful. I have tried 4 other hotels in poblado. When I return to Medellín I will be staying at this hotel.

Great staff, great location

We only stayed for one night and left at 5am the next morning but the staff was great, very helpful in helping navigate the language barrier. Bed was very comfortable. Pretty thin walls but not a huge problem. Really good location for walking around the area. Only a ten minute walk from the metro as well.

Great Boutique Hotel

I stayed here a couple of times and I've always have felt very confortable here, the hotel and the rooms are always very clean, hotel staff is very kind and attentive, price / value ratio is great, location is fantastic and yet very quiet.

Very nice hotel located perfectly nearby Parque Lleras where all of the action is if you are looking for lots of restaurants and bars. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful. The area is perfect for food options and nightlife as well as also being safe and quiet. Exceptional staff attention, clean facilities

Staff attention was exceptional! They really have gone above and beyond. You will experience this even more if you speak fluent Spanish. Facilities are modern and spotless clean. Location is good, safe, a little deserted after dark. Party areas are close walking distance, but not close enough to be noisy. Noise is however remains a concern here (and almost everywhere in Latin America). I purposely booked and chose a room that was not facing the street as I read it in other reviews that it can be noisy. Instead, I had to listen to interior noise: cleaning staff, noisy guests, conversations, etc. You can hear everything even if you are a few floors up from the entrance. Breakfast is plain and simple.

Too much noise, breakfast not so good!

The hotel is located in a safe neighborhood of Medellin, there are plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops within a 2-5 minute walk. The room was clean, bed comfortable, bathroom is a bit small not enough room for having clothes or more than one luggage. The biggest problem with the hotel is the noise. There's absolutely no insulation in any part of the hotel, not the walls nor the windows. The sound travels everywhere from the outside to the reception area. I finally decided it was too much after being woken up so many times even with ear plugs in. The staff is very nice especially Brian and Jessica. The breakfast is minimal and not a buffet. For the price you can find a much better hotel with less noise and a fantastic buffet. So after a couple nights I decided to move to the Laureles area which is safe and full of wonderful cafes, restaurants, shops, and night life is plenty. I would say it's OK for one night only.

Clean and helpful staff. Just needs carpets.

The staff was very friendly and the room was amazingly clean. However there were not any carpets so when people talked in the lobby it echoed into my room. If they add a few carpets to deal with the noise I think that would bump my rating to a five for the category it occupies.

great stay, great location

I was there for 1 night, I had to extend for a second night due to my late night flight. The neighborhood is great, the only down point of this area is that most of the buildings aren't sound proof so you hear a lot of noise from the street.

Good location, terrible bed!

I got this hotel as it was the only one with rooms available for the weekend. Everything was was decent but the bed was super hard almost the same than sleeping on the floor!

Great location , near to everything, 5 minutes a walk to Lleras park , a lot of restaurants, very clean rooms, good food for the breakfast, No noise at all , and reall good price ( worth it ) . And also hotel has Super an amazing staffs . high recommend even it ja a little expensive lol . But it is great 8,5 out of 10

Great location - unhelpful staff

We were very satisfied with the location and the room was comfortable for 3 people. However, on the second night my son woke up with bug bites on his arms and back. On close inspection we found little black bed bugs. We gathered up a sample and brought them to the front desk. They agreed to change our room later. We went out for the day and returned later. Our bags had not been moved from our room. We needed to carry them down the steps ourselves. Our new room was so tiny we could hardly open our suitcases. I asked for a discount from our previous rate for the much larger room and was told "no" that we already had a 20% discount through Hotels.com. The staff was very friendly, they just didn't help us out.

El hotel cuenta con una excelente ubicación, cerca de bares, restaurantes y buen ambiente. La habitación y el baño son algo pequeño, pero si lo que buscas es dormir cómodo y bañarte con agüita caliente luego de un día lleno de mucha actividad, este hotel es perfecto. La limpieza, el servicio de los empleados y los desayunos muy buenos. Si regreso a Medellín me volvería a hospedar en este hotel, sin duda alguna.
