carpets in the room were filthy
After unpacking we discovered that the A/C in 1104 was not working and the temperature for the week was near 90. A technician looked at it. We were moved to a different room(408) we had to pack up and unpack again. The breakfast was good and reasonably priced.
Decent hotel but great area close to everything
Bien dans l"ensemble. Mais lorsque les femmes de mébage quitte l'établisseme t, il n"y plus moyen d"obtenir des accessoires telq ue serviette, draps ou oreillers. Les employés n'y ont pas accès.
You are require to take transportation to see the attractions of the city. Luckily the subway line is a close walk
We stayed for 11 nights and easily accessed the metro to tour around Lisbon and area!
Very nice hotel, but the staff was not polite towards us. Very uninterested when we checked in and didn’t talk to us besides the necessity (extra fee, room keys etc). When we tried to ask them for help later on in exchanging some euros, they simply refused to help and didn’t redirect us to a place where we could. Hope they get better.
Some of the staff do not smile as the guests walk in. Otherwise, over all the stay was fine.
friendly and accessible
Staff at receptions were not very helpful when asking for help
Very good 👍
Hotel is very dated. You can literally hear everything from the adjacent rooms (I mean everything). Dirty and smelt muggy. The area looked a bit shady. On the upside the staff was very nice and helpful.
This hotel had been picked by a tour company. The tour was cancelled and I decided to stay at the same hotel since this was my first time to Lisbon.
Poor lighting, toilet leaking, carpet looks very old. Bathroom was cramped
Hotel is under flight path from airport and close to a major rail line. But it is close to public transport, including a metro line. The Gulbenkian Museum is just over 10 minutes walk away. It is clean, with pleasant public areas. The buffet breakfast is varied, though I wished that the hot dishes were consistently hot. The staff were always helpful. The lifts were a pain. There are only two for a large building. And the buttons did not always illuminate when pressed. And you were never sure if you had arrived at your target floor. But my room was clean and spacious. Similarly the bathroom.
Convenient
Lots of building work and bad road surface
Staff have been amazing and couldn’t have been more helpful as mix up with bookings as hotels.com booked 2 rooms 🙈
I had good time nice Hotel
Fantástico
Foi maravilhoso
Great Staff 5 mins walk to Metro , 5 mins walk to Entrecampos Station , Plenty of Bars resteraunts locally an all round convienient spot .
Great location and price
Everything was neat and tidy
Good service
The housekeeping staff were nicer than some front desk staff and more helpful. The evening bartenders were amazing. I thought I had paid for continental breakfast with my package, and it turns out it was not included. Pool was closed the first day I got there and had to go to hotel next door. Air conditioning was controlled, and it was hot and humid at night. But I can say that of all countries I been to Portugal is my favorite. I will definitely go back.
Great location, comfy bed, spotlessly clean. Staff all friendly and helpful
Nice pool, but air conditioning disappointing.
We booked this as it had air con and a pool. Lovely pool with plenty of sun loungers and great for plane spotting. However the aircon is centrally controlled and too warm for comfort overnight. I did ask for it to be made cooler, but didn't notice much difference. It was warm outside anyway and if you opened the window the plane and train noise was very loud. However with both layers of double glazing closed the sound is not a problem.
Great place Near the metro Walking distance to shops and restaurants
Liked everything. The small souvenirs boutique was fantastic. The Staff excellent!
This hotel is approximately 1.5km walk from the nearest subway to go into the centre. There is otherwise very little immediately surrounding the hotel. The actual hotel is based in a large compound car park area, so you will need to willing to adventure to enjoy here. The breakfast was good, a small selection of cold meats and cheeses, some hot food options, and some fresh fruits. The obvious options of bread and cakes were plenty also. This is worth the money without a doubt. Inside the hotel is varied, some parts appear modern and recently refurbished, although other parts appear to be very dated. Overall a great stay, the staff are very friendly and helpful. This is a definite highlight of this hotel.
Excellent Staff.
very friendly and helpful stuff. Restaurant, room service very handy. Close to other restaurants and coffee shops. Bus stops close by.
The restaurant food was almost inedible. Room service was slow and got the order wrong. 1hr and 45 minutes to finally get it straight. Staff was polite but not helpful if there was a problem. The entrance is on a dirty litter filled gravel/old pavement parking area. We were driving a rental. We had no idea that 1) The lot was owned by the city 2) There was an underground parking on the other side of the building. No signs indicating where to park and no one telling us. So we left the car and ended up with a parking ticket. €30 and if not paid it increases to €150. When i showed it to the front desk staff, the senior man dismissed it with a smirk and and a wave of his hand. They onviously had this happen all the time. Aside from this, there was a cheap plastic shower curtain dirty and brown on the bottom edge. This is an older property that needs lots of updates.
clean and comfortable hotel
Such a clean hotel .lovely reception staff and super clean bathroom also so close to the airport via the metro .next time in Lisbon I will only book this place
Lovely staff
Enjoyable stay
Excellent hotel for the price, nice and quiet with very friendly and accommodating staff.
Great place!
Great location, good value for your money, abundant choices for breakfast, and a spacious, clean room. All the staff were helpful and friendly, from the lobby, restaurant, bar, and souvenir shop to the nice lady who cleans the rooms. Thanks for making my stay in Lisbon better than expected. Muito obrigada!!!
Just a little too far out of the main touristy area for me but fantastic chilled out hotel .able to leave luggage but help with transport and eating out places wouldve been good (prices)
Excellent location.
Disappointing stay
Beds were rather hard, not comfortable at all. Pillows very small. Wife and I both received some type of bug bites and hotel moved us to another room when we told them. Noisy location in general, near airport and train station. Staff were polite and courteous.
The localization is fantastic and the food they serve in the bar is very good. The hotel need to improve the room service in general. When you arrive at the end of the day after a long day of working or tour, you expect to find your room cleaned and organized, and disappointedly it did not happen 4 or 5 times out of the 20 days of my staying. And even when they "cleaned" the room, the quality was not that good and also the staff regularly missed to leave towels, papers, shampoo, etc., which forced me to call the front desk and ask for this kind of stuff.
Big hotel in downtown
This is a building located in the business district of Lisbon. Its a walkable distance to the closest metro station and There is also food available within a little walk. It had the typical breakfast that we found at comparable hotels around Lisbon. During our trip Lisbon hit 40 degrees and our air condition struggled to keep the room comfortable. That was my only complaint. The pool is big and much appreciated.
Its a clean hotel that is close to the airport
very nasty personnel in breakfast service, especially female boss/overseer
The location of the property is very good. Next to train and metro station. Breakfast is just basic for €9.00 Reasonable price This hotel is short of stuff and checking in and checking out takes a long time. Just one person doing that job There was only 2 tiny pillows. I have asked for additional 2 and they brought it very quickly Plenty of parking spaces. I did not have car, so don’t know about price for it People are very friendly.
Great location, very easy parking, can walk anywhere
.
My room was nice. I liked the restroom. The outside of the building could use some updating.
Most of the staff are not helpful and make you feel that you are bothering them. They do not have any toiletries in the front desk and housekeeping starts late. They do not know about Covid testing and they will not make any effort to assist you in finding one. They do not even have plug adapters for guests (U.S-Europe).
Excellent service all the staff was friendly
Hygiene and facilities
eservation not found.
I went there and my reservation wasnt found i had to pay the price of a night to stay there.
Great location, room cleanliness and conditions, flexibility to check-in and late check-out
Convenient location. Helpful staff. Check-in was efficient. The taxi they ordered for me arrived in good time.
Ideal location. Friendly and helpful staff. Our flight was delayed so the lady-I cannot remember her name at hotel reception, agreed to let us have the room until 1230. Good breakfast and great suggestions for local restaurants.
Nice location but can get the noise from traffic outside. Would be nice if the very old towels are replaced with new ones.
Good 3 star hotel
3 star hotel . Plenty of restaurants close by. Look dated outside but the rooms are renovated. Only downside is no iron in the room. Would stay again.
The elevators were very annoying as the buttons to some floors didn’t work and sometimes they didn’t work at all so we ended up using the staff elevator as did many others
Adequate for city hotel, a littlle tired. Have stayed ghere seeveral times.
Good points - location, near to public transport links and restaurants, swimming pool, breakfast buffet, clean rooms and pleasing reception area. We had problems with the TV and safe in our room which were attended to within 5 minutes of reporting the issue. This hotel is located on the airport flight path and next to a railway line but we were not disturbed too much by the noise. Only one bad point was the swimming pool terrace where many of the sunbeds were broken.
Windows do not keep out the noise coming from the Metro trains next to the property. One of the towels provided had a quarter-size hole in it, have never seen that before. Staff does not appear to try, at anything. Kinda lame. Plenty of hotels in Lisbon, go somewhere else.
Good location and nice room. Close to metro stop.
There is no paved walkway from the street to the hotel. I had to carry my rolling luggage over rocky and uneven ground for 1 block before arriving at the front door. There is no clear sign from the street for the entrance of the hotel so I initially ended up walking around the back parking lot (which was cobblestone - so I also could not roll my suitcase) under the heat of the sun for 4 minutes until I was able to find the front door. The room was not available upon arrival and I essentially had to check-in twice at the front desk. The television stopped working for 5 hours straight. The towels were stained. The bathroom tub and mirror were very old and rusty in places. The elevators were very small (occupation 4ppl) and when one was under repairs it took a long time to get back and forth to my room. I couldn't find any tourism information in the front lobby. The room soundproofing was not strong as I could often hear other people talking / screaming / pounding on their hotel room doors.
It near all amenities especially the train station Breakfast was good though was the same every day Room was cleaned everyday with no fuss
Amenities
When I booked this hotel, pool and gym were amenities included but when I arrived there pool and gym weren’t working for more than 2 weeks since my arrival and one week later still not working.
So sad after staying there! Workers in a very bad mood and unfriendly. I have left my telephone charger in my room and went back to find. The workers were not interested in helping me at all! Bad breakfast! Coffee and bread, fruits very bad!
Clean friendly place , staff is helpful and accommodating. The only thing it was waiter complaining about having my bill charged to my room. He said Portugal has the lowest wage in EU and he relies on tips!!!! He said he has two children to support, why it should be this my problem???? Demanding tips is so annoying!!!!! I love switzerland who demand the restaurant to pay decent wages for the waiters!!!
Great location, pool was under construction, no access to the gym at VIP Lisboa.
Great for the price and convenience. Staff was friendly and the buffet breakfast was really nice to count on.
Style and noise
After a bland but efficient check in I was given a lovely room on the seventh floor. Nicely decorated and had comfortable beds, black out drapes, digital safe, fridge, tv with some channels in English, elegant wardrobes and was partly carpeted. The room had a balcony too, but no furniture there. The bathroom was adequate and included a bidet and the toilet had an unusual dial flush. The hotel is near to the airport and planes can be spotted flying low close by on their approach. Noise from these is not a problem, but it certainly can be from passing trains along the very nearby railway line. Even worse is the on / off whirring noise in the hotel from what is probably the air con system. Be warned- this can result in sleep disturbance. The nearest metro station Campo Pequeno is a few minutes walk
Hotel is descent . I didn’t have any problems with cleanliness or communication. The only thing I’d have to complain about is the low amenities . Besides a pool and a small bar there’s nothing else that the hotel has to offer. Also the food was mediocre . Very limited options . If you just want somewhere to sleep , then this is the hotel for you. If you want to have fun within your environment then look somewhere else because this hotel is quiet and there is not much to do. One more thing I didn’t like was that I have a limp when I walk because of an accident that happened some time ago and the gift shop lady kept asking me why was I limping. It was uncomfortable because it is none of her business and we do not know each other so I don’t know why she wanted to know so badly or even why she cared. However having a gift shop in the hotel was nice and everything is very affordable .
Good for the price, front desk staff very helpful and knowledgeable.
it is old and not well maintained, the parquet needs cleaning.
Ok tudo dentro do normal para bem volto sempre bom parque de estacionamento
Noisy can hear neighbours flush loo otherwise everhig else was good
The location was very good, good size rooms, friendly staff
Great location and hotel facilities really recommend
VIP Hotel Zurique
Truly enjoyed staying at this Hotel. Location was ideal to public transportation. Staff very friendly. Daily breakfast was very good
A stay in lisbon
Hotel looked nice, room initially looked ok, but found the bathroom was looking tired. The pull cord in the bathroom which is grey IS NOT to turn on the extractor fan (like most people seemed to think) it is an emergency assistance request. which we found took about 4 hours before someone rang to see if we were ok. The Air con was turned off until May even though the temp was in the 20's.No plug near the mirror so my wife had to use a small travel mirror to straighten her hair. It's an ok hotel but nothing to write home about
Very reasonably priced and very convenient to downtown.
Very nice employees at this property...loved the modern decor and the room service.
Property was a bit isolated. While breakfast was adequate evening meal was not great.
Campo Pequeno near by excellents restaurants&shoping, transport and shopings.
Bin not emptied from previous guest, dirty towels and dirty phone.
On arrival, noticed the bin from the bathroom hadn't been emptied and when tried to use the phone to call reception, it was dirty. Also the towels didn't look fresh and one of them was even stained.
VIP top top
Friendly staff, helpful clean rooms i enjoy my staying *******
Good location .very close to many station in Lisbon
It had no coffee It had no real amenities It had a lot of issues with the lights and the bathroom was funk funk
Ideal position for us. Modern comfortable room. Good price. But room next door to lift shaft so noise disturbance until late. Request for extra pillow took a long time. Good wi-fi
Some staff at reception were quite rude, specially at night time. The hotel overall was ok, convenient location in my case, and clean rooms.
Air con was way too warm ~we couldn't sleep. tried opening the windows, but it was too noisy outside. Four nights, but didn't really get even one full night of kip.
Nice hotel, room service not so good (I once found my clothes in a mess...), noisy (if your room is at the side of the train station you cannot sleep when the train works), breakfast not good (terrible coffee, orange juice without taste, croissants not tasty).
Not VIP
Check-in was smooth, but staff were not welcoming. The pool looked old and unclean. This hotel is pretty dated. Wifi was good. We booked a twin room, but bed were moved next to each other. We separated them but house keeping moved them back the next day. Bed and pillows were foam based. No bottled water daily replenishment.
Ageing hotel near university
Ageing hotel, well placed for the university. Stayed as part of conference at the uni. On the plus side it was cheap, though when chatting with other meeting attendees there were obviously better hotels for not much more money available nearby and closer to the downtown area. Some renovation work is going on (which is a good sign), but it appears to have been neglected for some considerable time - all seems a bit unloved. Staff were friendly and helpful. The term 'VIP' obviously does not translate well into Portuguese! Would look to stay elsewhere next time.
The building is dirty on the outside. They only have two elevators and one of them broke down during my stay.
Budget Hotel
Budget hotel ideal for very short stay. Limited breakfast range.
The service, staff and facilities were great, accommodating, friendly and helpful. Location was sketchy but once in the hotel, it was beautiful. Hotel has everything you need. Metro is close by, ample parking, not far from airport. Wish I could have stayed longer.
The hallway carpet is dirty and smelled bad. The hot water is not very hot. The elevator button is very confusing and some are broken.
