Dreadful stay!
The hotel is very pleasant and nice ambiance with good pool / spa, however the staff are rude and the food choice was poor. The experience was totally ruined when the server threw my room service all over me, smashed the plates and then claimed that it was somehow my fault. My suit was covered in red wine and my new trainers have had to be professionally cleaned. Management did nothing to rectify the issue and no real apology was given. As a result I left early and went to a much nicer hotel. If you’re looking for mid range budget then stay here, if not go somewhere else.
Nice place
Excellent hotel! A bit too overpriced. Nice place to stay. Popular for various conferences and events, making the place loud and crowded.
Needs brightening, a thorough cleaning & an update
Drab, dark, not very clean with horrible water pressure and in need of an update.
The staff was very helpful
Nice place
Was nice, I’d imagine even better in the summer. Not walkable to the city. Room was small considering how huge the grounds are.
Quiet
Beautiful hotel in nature
They didn’t inform us that the roof top and the pool will be closed during our stay as well the whole hotel smelled like the spa
The staff was amazing! This was a wonderful stay. Thank you so much to all.
Exceptional for a family vacation.
Great location for a family vacation, friendly staff.
Poor Customer Service
Outdoor pool not available and you had to pay to use the spa which was noted on the hotel.com website. There was an 18th birthday party going off until 12:30am which wasn’t helpful and meant we couldn’t explore Rome for long the following day due to lack of sleep. We were told they would give us a spa pass but we had to checkout by 11am and the spa opened at 11am which wasn’t ideal. They upgraded my sister and her family but not us.
Great ambience, great cocktails, good food, friendly staff . Clean rooms.....great views from balcony
The whole experience was very positive from the time we checked in to when we left. The staff are very friendly and obliging. Thank you so very much. Harsimran, Jasmin and Zoravar
Wonderful hidden gem in Rome
Exceptional rooms, clean and tidy. Beds were incredibly comfortable and your pillows were too. Clearly refurbished to a high standard, with rain showers and lower ground floor spa facilities contributing to a relaxing atmosphere. Impeccable service. Your reception and reservations team were helpful in rectifying an issue with my booking. I enjoyed the insights and recommendations of your bar and restaurant staff. Location was great - just outside the hustle and bustle of Rome, whilst closely connected via a road to the Metro Line (20 min walk, 10 min taxi). I also found getting a taxi via Uber It Taxi really easy. Thank you for a memorable stay, I will certainly be back and spreading the word about this glorious hidden gem of Rome!
GREAT LOCATION, VERY GOOD BREAKFAST
Book it!
Absolutely amazing hotel! Super clean. Very friendly staff. Free parking was a must for us. Would Absolutely stay here again.
I recently stayed at HOTEL VILLA PAMPHILI in Italy, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. While the location might be appealing to some, it lacked walkable restaurant options, making dining inconvenient unless you’re willing to drive or take transportation. The accommodations themselves were disappointing. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Additionally, the walls were very thin, so I could hear conversations and noises from neighboring rooms, which added to the discomfort. The shower and the overall size of the rooms were also an issue—they were far too small to move around comfortably, which made the stay feel cramped and unenjoyable. Overall, I expected more and was left dissatisfied. While there may be some positives to this hotel, these key aspects of comfort and convenience were lacking, and I wouldn’t recommend it to travelers seeking a relaxing and comfortable stay.
The hotel is okay, it is quite a ways outside of Rome, so it is a €30 taxi ride into the city each way. Our room was extremely hot 28°C (80°F) and we had to keep the balcony door open the entire time or else we would have sweat to death. The rooms were quite dusty, there were layers on the walls and everywhere when the sun came into the room. The restaurant is actually pretty good, and the pizza is quite good there. Breakfast was also good. The hotel will arrange hotel transport for you for about double what a taxi will charge to bring you from the airport...the company they use for the transportation didn't even end up showing up and left us waiting around at the airport for an hour at 2 in the morning until we just got an Uber. Not really a strike against the hotel as this was a third party transport that they set up for you, but them using a deadbeat transportation service that leaves their customers stranded at the airport in the middle of the night, does kind of reflect poorly on them. We stayed in winter and were only there a short time, so we did not get to experience much of what the hotel has to offer. From the looks of it, this place looks like it caters more towards the summer crowds.
Staff was friendly and helpful
Very nice hotel with a great location near the exhibit. A bit far to walk, but it’s a quiet, beautiful place to stay. Highly recommend!"
I booked this place for the spa which they show as an amenity and there is no mention there is an added fee or that you need a separate reservation in the listing. They told us it was fully booked and would not make an exception even though we were only there for one night. When we perked in it looked fairly empty also
We chose this place for our honeymoon and were a bit disappointed to discover the advertised photos do not reflect the rooms accurately. We got the junior suite hoping for great balcony views and our actual room had a tiny balcony with obstructed views. After much complaining they moved us to a slightly better room view but still nothing compared to the junior suite room photos advertised. So I do feel like the photos were misleading. No special treatment for honeymooners either.
Thanks to the staff for making my stay comfortable. Thanks especially to Momo for his support
Everything
Beautiful hotel
The staff were respectful, polite, and especially the reception was attentive and very helpful. The outdoor and indoor areas of the hotel were beautiful, and the breakfast was excellent. If I return to Rome, I will definitely stay at your hotel again.
Recomiendo este hotel muy tranquilo, facil de encontrar y el desayuno excelente, mis niños estaban super contentos en el hotel
I’m late to review this properly. My husband and I stayed in May of this year. It was absolutely amazing AND CLEAN. We had a double balcony and it was just the two us, so there were more than enough space. The breakfast spread was vast, beautiful, and stayed replenished. The dinner service is great as well. We utilized Uber and Taxi’s to experience the city, but we love the quiet return to the hotel. I have no complaints. The staff was great, the hotel is beautiful. I will definitely return and I urge anyone reading this review to give this place a shot. I do extensive research before booking a hotel and this one hit all the marks. LASTLY: TRY the SPA.. pleaseeeee lol. We had a couples massage it was imcredible, I literally was snoring!!!
Thumbs up!
The people at this hotel are absolutely lovely. Kind and generous, resourceful and willing to help. We have the largest suite at the hotel and we have no complaints. The pool is stunning. Caffe latte at the bar is divine. We have a young toddler and everyone has made this experience for us and him as pleasant as can be. Very happy and impressed with our stay.
It's a decent hotel to which id give 4 stars. The food was not good at all, we were very disappointed and they couldnt even make toast and give some jam after the breakfast was over. So that was below standard The staff is kind though, that made it up for it. We didnt know how to shut the shower off. The location is interesting, surrounded by greebery, but not close to the centre
We were in Rome for just one night before going on to Sicily. So we just needed a nice place to chill that would not cost a fortune. We had no plans to sight see, so it did not matter to us that the hotel was a bit outside the city center. Our one bedroom suite (which is a very good deal if you choose the nonrefundable option) was spacious and comfortable. We ate quite good pizza in the bar for dinner and also had a very nice buffet breakfast. The service is excellent. We felt very well taken care of. The hotel is not the most chic, but it is clean and comfortable.
Basically good except…
Good facility, but not close to Rome sights (thus the more reasonable rates). Room was nice, but dark. They need more lighting. It was basically clean, but some mold around shower.
Good venue and facilities
Outside of town with an amazing pool, great dining Great place to relax
Excellent spa on the hotel. Good gym. Great for sports people
Love the fact that the hotel upgraded us to a suite, staff perfect location perfect all perfect
Excellent property to stay in Rome.
We found the rooms to be dark not enough lights curtains were hard to open. Bathroom was small for 2 people getting ready. We had to take turns. Aesthetically nice. Breakfast was ok nothing great.
Very clean and great service

The hotel was clean and beautiful
We chose this restaurant because of the advertised rooftop terrace restaurant but it was not accessible during our stay due to a conference that was being held. Very disappointing. The food menu was limited also
Nice hotel but nothing amazingly special.....Hotel really is in the middle of nowhere (but we knew that) there is a petrol station 15 min walk away but up a very steep hill. Drinks round pool same price as in mini bar 5 euro a coke! Housekeeping lets this hotel down on refills tea, coffe milk etc. We booked a triple but clearly double room, 2 chairs, cups etc..... only a sofa bed not single. Reception to call taxis was great, pool very nice although not enough loungers at times.
Hotel staff was not very attentive or customer focused especially compared to numerous other hotels we used in Italy during this two week trip.
This hotel was an absolute gem! The staff were so unbelievably friendly and accommodating. The shuttle was so handy and convenient and the hotel itself was the perfect distance for us from the city. We lounged by the pool by day and explored the city by night! We had the most magical stay in this hotel and would recommend to anyone looking to visit Rome!
Giorgio at the front desk was INCREDIBLE! Each day he would recommend an area for our family to visit. He checked on us anytime we passed by and always assisted us with transportation as well. Giorgio made our stay at this property very special. He treated us with the utmost respect and went out of his way to connect with our baby boy.
It was far better than I expected. I would say it was the best hotel I've stayed at in Rome. It was clean, nicely decorated, had fantastic food, an amazing swimming pool, and was located in a calm neighborhood. Everything was fantastic!
Place was great, cleaning staff did great job. Teception was great and helpful. Pool was amazing. Terrace staff were very slow and after had to ask for things twice. Seemed like amateurs. Hotel is far from everything and inconvenient to get to by public transit. Taxis are expensive .
The hotel is excellent and runs a shuttle bus to near the centre of the city. It is quite a way out although perfect to combine a city break with complete relaxation. The shuttle was good although a little restrictive for dining out in the evening. Uber was around €20 to city centre and plenty of availability. The local village had a supermarket and some great dining choices - only a 15 minute walk. The breakfast was incredible - so much choice! We also had lunch and dinner during our 1 week stay - all were really good.
Great family spot. Quiet and service great. Pool was excellent and room was nice. The only negative would be the main restaurant on site for dinner not the best. Limited menu and expensive for average quality. Good breakfast though. The location is not close to other food options so this would be one thing to keep in mind if staying and need to get taxi to go out.
Oasis of calm and coolness outside the bustle of Rome City.
Just brilliant- staff are like family
I must start firstly by thanking Romina, she was the best manager and host - she treated my family as her own she did everything to make sure we were happy and comfortable- Thank you to all the staff- Elena, Daniele and all the restaurant staff, (sorry I cannot remember all your names, but everyone was amazing friendly, welcoming and happy the list goes on………. Hotel Villa Pamphilli is away from all the hustle and bustle of Rome - an excellent hotel for family with kids- even has a nursery where they take care of the young ones if needed. A bar and coffee house on the main reception floor which is huge and a great place to chill. The hotel manager was so humble and lovely- on check out she even assisted me with taking my bags to the taxi…. All the best and thanks again from Mr and Mrs Chagar and family.
Not a lot place to eat around the hotel is the only issues with this hotel. Also you going to use Uber or taxi a lot.
The hotel was ok. Do not order transfer service from the hotel. They were a no show at FCO, so I took an Uber.
Great property with fantastic pool just 12 min. from the centre of Rome.
Lovely stay. Enjoyed the pool but shallow end is not that shallow! Wider options of food in restaurants would be helpful.
Beautiful stay
Excellent rooms and facilities. Great selection breakfast buffet. Unfortunately the restaurant service was very poor and mistakes made to order, slow to bring drinks and food to table. I would recommend going into Rome City for food instead. Otherwise great place to stay, great facilities.
The hotel was perfect for the summer heat in Rome. The pool was refreshing after long days touring the city. The entire staff at this hotel was accommodating and friendly! We would definitely choose this hotel again. We had a fabulous time in Rome and hope to be back in the future!!!
Perfect location, clean with friendly staff!!
Hotel is very nice, very clean, room was very clean, food was good and the prices affordable compared with other hotels safe parking for our rental car easy to get an Uber from the hotel is close to most of the sites, overall nice experience we will visit again for sure!
Great hotel with great AC, pool, restaurant options, easy free parking and only 25 mins from Fiumicino! Perfect spot for night before a flight.
Building in good condition, clean and well decorated. Friendly staffs. Only negative is restaurant bit expensive and swimming pool close at 8pm. Good place to stay, well recommend
Super friendly staff! Great breakfast, clean rooms, and exceptional parking.
Great Value and Location
Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, multiple dining options, beautiful grounds, and excellent location.
The pool was awesome and clean. The breakfast was the best we had in Italy. The lunch, supper and snack items were limited. Pizza was very soggy and disappointing for Italy. The toilet in our room wasn’t working properly and needed to be fixed. The shower floors were not very clean the drain was very slow causing overflow.
This is hotel is a MUST! From the moment we checked in through checkout, our experience was phenomenal. Being a ways from the city center was actually quite perfect as the days spent in the city were busy so it was a nice getaway. The weather was hot, and the pool was refreshing. This property offered a fun atmosphere with many dining options from the poolside "bar" to the restaurant and rooftop bar. It was so clean and well maintained. I have to boast about the staff, however. They were simply amazing! Especially Roberto, and Bruna. Roberto took care of us many days/nights, always with a smile. And Bruna! Bruno was lovely. She made us the most delicious cappuccinos, was extremely accommodating, and even left me a hand written birthday card that was left for me in my room. My husband is a bit hard to please and he said he would stay here again, and again. I can't say enough great things. Getting taxi service was quick, easy, and reasonable for cost. I can't wait to visit Rome again, and stay at the Hotel Villa Pamphili again!!! 10 stars!
The window of our rental car was smashed in the morning when we had checked out. Other than that the hotel was lovely, breakfast had lots of options and really tasty produce, pool is huge! Rooms are comfortable although air conditioning is noisy. Close to centre of Rome but you don’t feel like you’re in the busy part which is nice although it is clearly an area for thieving. Would come back but would pay to park my car in the front hotel parking for €7 a day. Thanks!
O we all, great experience. Restaurant’s menu is limited but fair.
A great experience.
we came with our family and had 4 rooms, wanted to invite some friends to spend the day by the pool. Unfortunately due to your high pricing we made other arrangements. The hotel should have reasonable rates for hotel guests.
room was noisy due to A/C was not properly functioning and I informed the front office they sent someone to fix. He did, noise went off, came back again at night. Not only that, but, it was leaking water into the room, made the floor wet and slipprey, we put towels to dry things up..
Fantastic Pool! A great place to unwind after a day sightseeing in Roma! The staff so thoughtful and helped us with our travel and sightseeing plans making it a memorable trip. I will definitely go back to stay there again.
The cleaning room was horrible.
Excellent in every way nothing to complain. All staff are brilliant very helpful in all aspects. Henry UK
The pool is peaceful and cool but has many rules: no floating items or jumping, even when not crowded. The rooftop bar, advertised as open in July and August, was only open on weekends, which was disappointing. Reception service varied—okay at check-in but very friendly at check-out. Car chargers cost 70 cents per kWh, and there's free parking in a lower area, a two-minute walk away. The beds are very comfortable, there are water dispensers on each floor, and the large flat-screen TVs are nice. Breakfast is good, though not amazing.
Very attentive staff, property nestled in a quiet neighborhood— 10 to 15 minutes from ROME therefore it’s 25-30 EUROS every time you want to get to the city
We were disappointed with the size of the room. Finger prints on wall and not really so clean shower door. But, all of this was overlooked because the service at this hotel was phenomenal!
Staff not friendly at breakfast . Pluming issue with our shower
Everything is nice about this hotel except it's quite far from the city and no convenience, store or mini market or café is nearby. Even the hotel doesn't have its own little shop.
This place is unique, clean and new! Breakfast is amazing
I Absolutely enjoy my stay. This was my first time in role and Armando at The front desk make sure my stay was comfortable and he answered all my questions even arrange for me to take the shuttle downtown. If I’m in Rome again I will definitely be staying at this hotel.
Great Pool. The area is nice and it only takes you around 20 minutes to city center. We had a great stay. Our daughter loved it.
For tourists this is great stay!!
we went by the reviews and it didn't at all disappointed us. But for all the great Rome tourist attractions it is 20 minutes car ride. Taxis are convenient from this place. We loved their breakfast and Barista is great!!
Incredible service
Rome is incredible Hotel was brilliant Staff were amazing
Lovely Hotel but noisy air conditoning!!
Lovely stay and the staff and team were very supportive. Whilst it's a little way out of the city centre, it's easily doable and the shuttles are good (also means you get a lot more space than a crowded city centre hotel). Only complain is that our air conditioning unit rattled a LOT!! And did compromise our sleep each night... I did as for maintenance to fix but never heard back... Other than that a good hotel and good value for money
Hotel in a pretty and quiet area of Rome. About 10-15min drive from the Vatican City. About 30min drive to city center and all major attraction's. Taxi to the city will cost between €20-€30 roughly. I made a reservation at the roof top restaurant 3 times, when I arrived, they said they couldn’t find the reservation. If you call the reservation number again to make another reservation they tell you you’re all set, when you show up they never got your reservation. Kind of a clown show. Other than that good hotel, great breakfast.
Great
We loved our stay here. The staff was amazing, everyone from the front desk to the restaurant. Staff was helpful, friendly, and made our stay one of the best on our trip to Italy. We booked this hotel because it was away from the center of Rome a little bit so we could get some rest and everything was great. The breakfast was good. The restaurant in the evening was good and again the people working in the restaurant were the best! I would stay here again Anytime I was in Rome!
Had fleas in the hotel. Hotel is miles away from Rome - ridiculously the shuttle bus charges €5 each way and is not very frequent. Positive: amazing swimming pool
Clean, nice breakfast.
Lovely hotel - fresh and clean rooms - excellent breakfast - transport limited and so needed taxis. But a lovely place to come back to.
Quiet hotel property outside of the busy city of Rome. About a 30 minute ride to anywhere we had to go. Free breakfast was nice but did not have a selection that we enjoyed that much. Room was spacious and clean and quiet. Bathroom was roomy and nice. Shower had two options of water which was nice after a long day. Bed was firm and comfortable. Easy to stream Netflix to the TV. All staff was very accommodating and friendly at all times.
It’s ok
New, modern, great staff, amazing breakfast but (this is a big but ) now AC in April? As someone coming from the US (average weight) I am use to not to sleep with my window open to get cool air into my room. BIG turn down.
I’m a very experienced traveler: Hotel Pamphili is an up-to-date clean/trendy oasis, with great gym and grounds surrounding pool facilities. Also the food at this hotel is fantastic.
1. There was a bigger group staying at that time. The music was loud in the evening when they were partying. I believe it can happen from time to time. I did not create any fuss about it. It was understandable. At other times, it was quiet and a safe surrounding. 2. I took a taxi to go to the city and back on most days. In the morning, there is a shuttle service to go to Rome. The shuttle service is Euro 5 per person. The taxi was around Euro 15 per journey to the nearest metro station.

The staff were excellent when there was a mix-up on the details of the room. They went over and above to make sure we had a good experience. First class.
