Great Choice
We loved our stay at this hotel. It was easy to access with on site parking which was important for us. The staff were so friendly, very helpful and accommodating. The rooms were spotless and the beds were extremely comfortable. Breakfast options were plentiful. Since I chose the hotel I was given a thumbs up by my husband and our friends. Very impressed.
Very clean, friendly staff, spacious rooms, great facilities, plenty of parking space,
Spacious rooms, vintage property with old world feel.
Lovely rooms and staff. Pool could use a little update but would definitely stay again!
I booked this 12-night stay for my parents who enjoyed the peace and quiet of this hotel, and appreciated the hospitality of the staff that made them feel welcome and comfortable. Thank you!
Old school hotel
Star rating needs a serious review on this one. Maybe it was a 5 star back in the day. Property is in a good state but it's outdated. Staff is friendly. Breakfast is super simple, like supermarket bread and a coffee machine that serves coffee with sugar. Not good value for money.
Lovely corner room .. very big with beautiful bathroom. Lovely old Villa. Very classy. Welcoming reception and all staff very courteous and friendly.
Nice
Hotel Villa Jerez! Wonderful!
We were only there one night but the service and the room were exceptional. Especially the gentleman who checked us in and out who has been with the hotel for over 30 years. Highly recommended.
Charming but a little dated
Wonderful boutique hotel on edge of the city
An oasis of tranquility whilst still only a short walk into the city. The hotel was friendly, smart and with great facilities.
Old School Spanish Hotel.
Lovely old style spanish hotel with great service. The staff are what makes this place so nice. Very peaceful lovely gardens and pool and an excellent breakfast selection.
We paid for larger superior room with breakfast included and got our money's worth. Large comfortable room and bathroom and nice patio overlooking central courtyard and garden. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of hot water and water pressure for shower. Breakfast was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. All quiet during our 3 night stay but looked like they were setting up for an event or reception in the courtyard do perhaps the next evening was not so tranquil. It's over a mile walk to the historic center of Jerez, but plenty of taxis available for those who don't want the exercise. Decor of hotel retains some of the charm of an older building. Some of the room furniture was a bit old and worn, but perfectly comfortable and functional. We would gladly stay there again.
It's a really great place to stay. It's not in the heart of downtown so it is quiet; no trouble if you don't mind a walk, else taxis can be arranged very easily. Most helpful staff.
The concierges were delightful. Beautiful place, lovely room, nice people. Gorgeous food nearby.
The staff were outstanding. There were minor issues with the room and in compensation we were given a complimentary bottle of cava. The only negative ( very small) was that the food at dinner was not wonderful. Otherwise can’t speak highly enough of this place and particularly Paco.
Great service and good location
The hotel has just reopened and looks like the property had been repainted as everything looked clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good choice of hot and cold food at breakfast. As some of the other reviews state, if you have noisy occupants in adjoining rooms then you will hear them. We had some Spanish people who thought it was good to sing at 01:30 when that got back to their room! On a positive note to finish the hotel had a pillow menu and free mini bar with beer and soft drinks replenished daily.
Beautiful hotel in Jerez
My daughter and I stayed here for one night while visiting Jerez to watch the amazing horses. What a beautiful hotel, quiet but a short walk from the old town and an even shorter one from the equestrian school. The staff are all wonderful but special thanks to Pacino for welcoming us so warmly, what a superstar! If I return to Jerez, I would definitely stay again.
Excellent service!
Thoroughly recommended
The hotel is in a well kept neighborhood about 20-25 minutes walk from the centre of town. The bedrooms are large and well presented and comfortable. The reception, lounge and dining areas are stylishly decorated and the pool area and gardens are beautiful and peaceful. All round fabulous place to stay for a break in a vibrant, historical city.
Wonderful small hotel
This was a great experience. Wonderful warm welcome with fabulous Sherry on arrival. Beautiful room fantastic pool and excellent service. Highly recommend about 20 minute walk from old town. Spectacular loved everything about it.
Ideal to relax and unwind
We stayed here before pre child and always wanted to return. We were not disappointed. From beginning to end this is a wonderful hotel with very friendly staff, great rooms and facilities. Our child loved it, too and in particular the hamburger. The restaurant food is fantastic. The rooms were comfortable and quiet, bathroom with shower and bath included toiletries and hair dryer. From the sherry to welcome you to three last good bye everything was perfect for us. This is the ideal place to relax and unwind.
Lovely stay in the heart of the city
Beautiful historic home with spacious rooms and fantastic service. The staff was very helpful and shared great information of what to see and do.
Elegant boutique property in close proximity to the Old Town and the Feria grounds. Easy to access parking. Lovely building and helpful staff. Highly recommend this value!
Very friendly staff and super helpful. Provided us with very good recommendations for restaurants.
Staff where outstandning and very helpful
The facility and room was very nice. Breakfast excellent. The best part was the staff. All very helpful but particularly the fellow who work at the desk in the daytime was super helpful with recommendation on what to do and where to go for meals. His recommendations for Cadiz and Jerez where spot on. Thank you to him.
we love the hotel!!
we love the hotel, one of the coziest among our Spain trip! it used to be a residence of some wealthy family and was turned into a hotel! Spacious room and bathroom make you feel home. Free parking. Only it is not so close to town you got to walk like 20 mins (but the hotel said taking a cab is just Eur 5-6. We will be back if we are coming back to Jerez again!
It was a relaxing intimate villa with old world charm. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was lovely. Bathroom was awkward but clean and functional.
Elegant older building converted into comfortable hotel. Spacious. Lovely setting. Outside city centre but excellent taxis not expensive. Charming and helpful staff. Walking distance to the Real Escuela.
Everything from the welcome to the departure made us feel special. A true hidden gem!
Excellent stay
Wonderful welcome. Great room - huge with a very large bathroom as well. Free minibar and a lovely pool area. A very relaxed atmosphere with efficient service. The staff are really helpful and happy to support in any way. Food is also very tasty!
Country mansion in the centre of Jerez
A beautiful boutique hotel. Super clean. Staff are very friendly and cannot do enough for you.
Great place to stay.
No complaints great service, very clean, awesome amenities.
Delightful boutique hotel
Lovely boutique hotel, with large comfortable room/suite. Staff very friendly and helpful
We have been in Spain for 20 days and The Hotel Villa Jerez is the nicest place we have stayed. The beds were very comfortable. The shower and jacuzzi tub were fabulous. The staff was friendly and accommodating. There is plenty of free parking inside a gated wall. The swimming pool area was quiet and relaxing. If we return to Jerez, we will definitely stay at the Hotel Villa Jerez.
This was like a haven in the middle of Jerez. It could do with a coat of paint all around the pool area and on the front of the property. Also, the loungers by the pool really need replacing / cleaning as they had seen better days.
Breakfast ok but i would rather help myself to a better coffee.
We only spent one night but wish we could have stayed longer. Everything was perfect, and the room rates were very reasonable considering the excellenced of the hotel.
Good breakfast, spacious room with nice bathroom. Quiet, safe and easy walking location. Lovely hotel grounds. Staff very helpful and friendly. Bed could be a bit more comfortable.
Fabulous, within walking distance of city center. Wonderful staff and service. Great suggestions for activities and restaurants. Comfortable rooms and amenities.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a relaxing vibe, and the room is spacious and beautiful.
Stayed for three nights to investigate the area. Hotel staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble, and we were made to feel welcome and important - not just a customer. Distance to the centre is walkable and very pleasant to do so in the weather. There was an issue with the blackout blind but this was fixed; I think this should have been sorted prior to arrival or in regularar checks. Our patio was slightly tired as was some of the furniture in the room. If staying in peak season I would expect the attention to detail in the room and outside to be slightly better. Would I stay again? 100% yes. Fully recommended.
Very nice, clean, and specious room. Staff is very friendly and helping. Quite area, and lovely back yard. Recommended.
Great choice
Wonderful old style hotel with great service, friendly staff, and the little extras that modern hotels sometimes forget. Since it was the slow season we were immediately upgraded to a larger room with a view and the biggest bathroom I have ever seen. A little removed from the centre but an interesting walk. Also very close to equestrian centre. Great choice.
Very noisy - walls are too thin! Noise after mid night from both upstairs and next door until 2-3am. Didn’t get any sleep during the stay !
Gem of a hotel
Lovely hotel, about a 20 minute walk into the centre of Jerez. Well appointed room. Staff excellent - friendly and helpful. All spoke good English Lovely pool. Could do with a gym and some alternative to milk at breakfast to make it perfect for me, but otherwise can’t fault it.
A very pleasant hotel
We were made to feel very welcome. All the staff were very attentive and the glass of sherry on arrival was very welcome! The pool area was quiet and well kept as was the whole hotel. The only criticism was at weekends, the area in the grounds behind the hotel is open for private functions. Therefore it was very noisy both in the afternoon and evening.
Great hotel
This is a little jewel, the staff are so helpful the restaurant was great
This beautiful hotel is more like staying in soneone’s Villa than a typical hotel. The service and staff are impeccable. the rooms and grounds are beautiful as well. I highly recommend this property.
Excellent amenities. Fantastic room and bathroom, exceptionally clean. Breakfast however was disappointing: fresh fruit not always fresh, up to 15 minutes to get a coffee or tea.
Lovely stay at Villa Jerez although I hadn't noticed how far the walk in to the centre of Jerez it is. A little too far unfortunately but other than that an excellent stay.
Very Nice Charming Hotel
We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel. It felt like home and the staff was very warm and friendly. Looking forward to staying there again very soon!
helpful staff, enjoyable walk to and from town; breakfast good; plumbing in bathroom a bit difficulto to use.
2 Days in Jerez
Hotel is a stylish villa with plenty of rooms. Great layout with stunning rooms, garden and pool area. Staff very friendly. Located about 10 min walk to City centre but cabs easily available.
Thank you Mario for all your help! Lovely front desk staff. Thank you for sherry!!
A gem in Jerez
Very beautiful grounds If we could have stayed longer we would have. Very friendly and helpful staff.
First class hotel
Excellent 5 star hotel in a good part of Jerez. Staff were very attentive and facilities were good. Only disappointment was the set evening meal we had with our half board. Only two choices and lack of any vegetables with the main course.
Happy from Granada
Fabulous stay at Villa Jerez, all staff very attentive and efficient, and all seemed happy to be serving you. If I was to be slightly negative, we felt parasols around pool area required attention, they kept blowing over, one blew into pool, which could have proved quite dangerous to children. Also sun loungers would benefit from mattresses as they were quite hard. We were staying in a suite which was excellent, again one slight negative there was no full length mirror any where in the suite. Neither things would deter us from staying there again and we would certainly recommend to any one.
Great Base for your stay in Jerez
Certainly a great place to stay to see Jerez
Little gem.
Really lovely Hotel. What a gem. Staff could not do enough for you. Very quiet position. Room nice and large. Fab bathroom. Breakfast nice and everything very fresh. Great pool area. Can't wait to go back!!
Two day visit
Went to see Royal Andaluthian Horses . Location excellent , also good position for race track
Sherry tasting birthday celebration
The hotel is in a really good location for the Equestrian school, and for the Sandeman bodegas. The staff were extremely helpful, and the restaurant recommendations were first class. Our room was large, and clean, with good facilities. However the twin beds were very hard.
Nice place to stay, great breakfast and friendly service
Lovely grounds; peaceful, stylish, client oriented
From the moment of arrival when a glass of sherry was provided as a welcome to the comfortable room, lovely breakfast, and terrific tapas dinner, this was an excellent experience.
A Gem of A Small Hotel in Jerez
The hotel was fabulous. Our experience with Hotels.com not so much.
Just my cup of tea
Professional greeting Helpful & willing to cater & satisfy all needs fo make guest at ease An ambiance to capture your heart No strings attached just promising a peaceful stay Left contented and relaxed Definitely orthopaedic for a second stay if you look for comfort
Lovely, gracious hotel,welcoming and comfortable
This hotel and its delightful staff made all the difference to our visit to Jerez to see the famous dancing horses. I am an Australian grandmother, visiting Europe to keep my grandsons company during the school holidays in Paris, where they live. This was part of our adventure trip and we loved this hotel for its kindly staff, comfortable rooms, beautiful pool and perfect location. Their restaurant served wonderful local food on a shady verandah and generously catered for our Coeliac dietary requirements, without any fuss. What a treat it all was! Our thanks to all the staff, and a recommendation for others who are visiting Jerez to stay at Hotel Villa Jerez.
Superb hotel
The first hotel on our touring holiday and set a standard other hotels will struggle to match.
A place not to forget.
Great place to stay.
A great choice
We truly enjoyed this small hotel. The concierges were so welcoming and helpful , breakfast on the terrace was lovely. The room was clean and large. The bathroom was large and s but in need of some upgrades but for the price it was great.
Disappointing hotel
I don't know who ranks the hotels in andalucia. This is not a 5 star hotel under any circumstance. Poor breakfast with those IKEA refillable glass cups, no proper duvets in the rooms, dated interior room design - shower had black mold - and soaps, both liquid and solid, felt like detergents. In a small city like jerez, its location still demands you to talk a taxi anywhere, which is also disappointing. Pluses were price and its nice small pool.
Chic Jerez hotel
7 night stay in a junior suite on a b&b basis. Breakfast plentiful with a wide range of foods. Had dinner on two nights, again excellent quality and value for money. Room had separate sweating area and large bathroom with jacuzzi and separate shower. Only disappointment was the lack of English channels via the TV service. pool area pretty although limited and tired loungers is a concern during busy times. Car hire also recommended as Jerez is quite small with 2 days max to see the local sights. Easy driving to Cadiz, Gibralter and Ronda all worth a visit.
A1 hotel in Jerez
A very nice hotel within easy walking distance of the Center of jerez and the horse exhibition. I would definitely recommend.
Tip top hotel
Wonderful discovery .Elegant, comfortable hotel ,which had the air of a private house situated in pleasant suburb ,but within walking distance of city centre . Good sized pool in garden , delightful bedrooms with balconies and excellent dinner and breakfast .Can not fault it.
Enjoyable stay
Small boutique hotel in a quiet residential area.15/20 minute walk from town ,but worth the walk to stay in a quiet luxury hotel with a lovely pool area.We had the tapas and Sherry tasting menu for lunch which was excellent , staff were all very helpful nothing was too much trouble.overall an excellent stay and we would return.everything was very clean too.
Spanish Delight
Perfect 2 ni stay in boutique villa. Spainish charm, great service, pool, PERFECT location to walk to Royal Andalusian Horse Show! Very good full breakfast & lunch but dinner disappointed with food & service. That is a shame as otherwise a Great 2 ni. stay. Recommend for adults/couples.
Hotel with character
pleasant hotel, very helpful lady receptionist,MaGNIFICENT showers in room but drainage had trouble coping flooding floor so couldn't use on full power.Good bed, excellent housekeeping and bed turn down, but some dog barking.slightly too far away from central area , a long walk ,but worth it if small swimming pool is important.Breakfast was acceptable but not such good value as had elsewhere, but nowhere convenient nearby .Did not have time too visit restuarant..
Fantastic hotel
Fantastic hotel , everything great , would say, stay here if you are going to Jerez.
Perfect break in Jerez
We stayed for one night en route to visit friends. Our plan was to explore Jerez, but fell in love with the hotels ambience, including the glass of sherry offered to us while checking in, so just chilled around the pool. We booked dinner for 2030hrs and had a 5 course taster menu including 5 flutes of wine for 35 Euro!!!! amazing value. Breakfast around the pool was the perfect way to end our stay at the wonderful Villa Jerez.
sherry heaven
Wow, what a lovely place. Staff are on another level here with friendliness. They treat you like family. The setting is fabulous with grgeous pool area and gardens surrounding the property. Our room was more like a bedroom for royalty...huge with plush bathroom and everything of the highest quality. Try the tapas tasting wine pairing menu at 25e for multiple gourmet courses twinned with a different sherry wine for each course. Amazing value!! All the Bodegas and Andalucian Equestrian school are close by. Exceptional hotel, highly recommended.
Worth it!
Every aspect of this hotel is first rate. Don't hesitate to choose it.
Fabulous
Just spent one week traveling through Spain and this hotel was the most memorable. From the glass of sherry greeting to the breakfast pool side, everything was lovely. Sat in the jacuzzi tub in our room and the hotel staff was very helpful. We ate dinner at the hotel and the food was delicious. Parking right near our room in a secured lot and no steps to deals with.
Great hotel in a quiet part of Jerez
Whilst a 15 minute walk from the old town we enjoyed the quietness of the suroundings as well as the coolness of the pool Lucky to land in town at the time of the la Feria festival - All horses and flamenco costumes plus a lively fair at night
Excellent location close to town centre.
Warm, friendly welcome with a glass of sherry was a great introduction to the hotel.
Hotel Villa Jerez Feb 2015
We spent two days in Jerez to go to Formula 1 pre-season testing. This is a conveniently-located hotel to reach the Jerez circuit in about 10 minutes by car. It is also close to the city centre (an easy 10/15 minute walk). The staff are pleasant and helpful, breakfast is decent, rooms are comfortable and overall it is a quality operation, though probably not 5 star e.g. no assistance with getting luggage out of the car.
Excellent small boutique style hotel
Had a lovely 3 night stay in this hotel. Loved the ambience, quiet and personal which meant you felt special and not lost as in a bigger mainstream hotel. The outside areas and the pool were lovely, quiet and tranquil yet in the city centre! Food was good too. It was a 15 minute walk into the main centre but still a good location for the local sights. I would certainly look forward to going back and doing the tapas / sherry tasting menu !
Loved It
Loved this place....very much old world charm at an affordable price....would come back here any time. 15 to 20 walk into the center of town....10 minutes to the Equestrian Center.
Beautiful hotel
We stayed here for four nights in a Junior Suite and the staff made every effort to ensure our stay was comfortable.
Relaxing hotel great service
We were only at the hotel for a short time but the staff were very helpful and tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible would stay again
I couldn't recommend a small, special hotel more highly. Clean, quaint, exceptional staff. Perfect.
Wished we'd stayed longer
Whilst the location of the hotel is approximately a 10 mins walk from the centre of the old town it is easily found and the hotel and staff were very good. Upon our arrival we were assisted with luggage and arrangements with a sherry tour details at Gonzales Byass; they telephones to check next timings for the English tour. We were advised on other sights and given restaurant recommendations; la cruz blanca we used twice and was very good; we were unable to try out the pool or breakfast but I doubt that we would have found fault.
Excellent hotel
We were very pleased with the hotel. The staff were very helpful and our room was very good. We would recommend this hotel without hesitation
Dining room service poor food selection sparce
Excellent hotel, very comfortable and very clean, lighting in bedroom very poor
Excellent
Brilliant hotel, friendly staff, luxurious rooms, great value for money
Lovely Villa Hotel in quiet location
Nothing was too much effort for the staff. An erratic air condition unit was completely replaced on the 3rd day of our stay. Any request for help or information was readily available. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
Great hotel in Jerez
My wife and I stayed at the hotel for one night recently. Everything about our stay was first class but especially the food. This is a special place to eat. We will certainly be returning!
Oasis in Jerez
We enjoyed a day by the pool, then drinking gin tonics with friends on the patio. Very comfortable rooms. Could use a better equipped little gym. One problem--at least in summer--is the flies around the pool area.
Great hotel with friendly helpful staff.
Quality hotel in Jerez
Great hotel in fantastic location 15 minutes walk from Jerez town centre. Quiet gardens, apart from dog next door, with quality small swimming pool. Our room was large and well equipped with views over the garden and pool. Small but good value restaurant serving, strangely, Italian food but none the worse for that. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a quiet stay in Jerez.
Hotel Villa Jerez | Hotel in Jerez de la Frontera | Travala.com
Charming hotel. Reminiscent of 50s. Very nice staff. Restaurant/food nice. Patio lovely. Just a bit of a walk to old town
