Typo about distance to airport?

This was a swell little place for us to stay before catching an early flight the next morning. I booked it bc hotels.com website said it was a 10 minute walk to the airport. I think that's a typo. More than 10 minutes to DRIVE to the airport. Definitely not walkable. Other than that a very nice place to spend a night.

Property was clean and very nice. I did not like it when I found out that I paid $120 more than my friend, because I used Expedia and he book directly with the Hotel. Expedia claims they get the best rates.I can tell you that is not true.

This is a gem in the Isla Verde Area. The sheets are a little rough on the beds but that really is my only complaint. There is no room service but it's not needed with so many good local restaurants. It makes up for everything with friendly and helpful staff and its perfect location near food, shopping and beautiful beach a block away. We stay there every time we go back to Isla Verde.

The area and the rooms need more attention

Cute and very clean boutique hotel, daily room cleaning service, free fresh brew good coffee all day, beach towel, free parking, car rental on-site. Just 4 minutes walk to the beach and multiple eateries within walking distance. Really enjoyed the hotel and its convenience. Rental a car on-site from Vias only for the days we needed it, very convenient. I’d definitely stay there again and highly recommend to others.

This is a hidden gem. If you are traveling to the west side of the island and your flight gets in late in the day this place is perfect. You can spend the night and rent your vehicle right at the hotel and leave the next morning after the traffic dies down. Same thing if you have an early flight. We drive back from Rincon the day before our flight and spend the night.

This place was horrible the hot water didn’t work when I asked them to fix it they instructed me on how ( but I’m just a girl) smh and we couldn’t shower after flying on planes and being around germs all day this sucked so bad for my family and I. They didn’t answer the calls for my dispute making it hard for me to get a refund for the inconvenience be aware of this place and do not waste your money here!

My experience was great. Friendly staff and clean rooms.

The hotel is fabulous. A cute 2 level, stairs only hotel. We arrived early and were able to check in with no problems as the room was ready. Nice room with clean beds and the bathroom passed my lysol wipedown with no dirt. A mini fridge in the unit was also spotless. The staff was fantastic. They were never seen standing around chatting everything was always being scrubbed down and the place smelled fresh. The delicious coffee was always hot and ready in the lobby. The pool area and pool were clean and attended to. I truly had a wonderful time. I highly recommend this place for a beachside break. And a huge thank you to the staff for being warm and welcoming. That means a lot these days.

Great location

This boutique hotel was worth the price and great location. Close to the Sonesta Royale (attending conference). It was near lots of good restaurants and 2 blocks from the beach. With the wind from the NE, the revving of each plan taking off, rattled the building. We understand that was an unusual wind direction. However, from our room it sounded like the fan kicking on from the A/C.

We just stayed in this property and it was a great find. The staff was helpful and all so nice. The rooms were small but had everything we needed. The beds could have been a little bit more comfortable but we were so happy here, we felt at home. Will definitely come back and highly recommend.

Clean

Everything was great. The pool and pool area were very clean. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Plenty of places within walking distance to eat, and only a 11 minute walk to grocery store.

Common areas were nice and convenient. Beautiful pool. Employees super nice and accommodating. Only drawbacks were no elevator to manage luggage and actual bedrooms could use a little updating. One side of bed up against the wall so difficult to get in and out. My husband and I both have CPAP machines so was hard to string them across the back of the bed to the electric outlet (since against the wall on one side, no table to hold the CPAP machine). We were able to walk to all our dining choices so very convenient. Thanks for the nice stay!

Cleanliness

The stay was very short but the cleanliness of the room could have been better. Towels had prior stains. Bedsheets and pillows As well

Excellent,we stay in this hotel every time we come to San Juan. The staff is excellent.

Room was tiny. Water in shower was never really hot. Not convenient to get to the room, up steps and then back down step for a room on ground level????

I loved everything and they even had food if you was hungry and all the stores was walking distance

The hotel was very conveniently located. Super clean. Good price compared to resorts which are basically next door. They rent cars out of here. Staff were very helpful. Not a place you hang out all day, but the pool was nice . My room was a little noisy because the location was next to where the rental cars are being prepared. Sounds worse than it was. If you are looking for a nice clean place to sleep this is it.

Loved this cute little hotel! We were welcomed by a sweet old cat and friendly, helpful front desk staff. The room was basic but very clean and comfortable. Our kids loved hanging out in the pool at night under the stars (it’s in a courtyard) and the fact that they sell ice cream bars in the lobby:) We’ll definitely be staying here next time we need a place close to the airport!

This is not a fancy resort. But it is affordable, safe, and clean. The staff was excellent and the front desk is staffed 24 hours a day. I stayed on a weekday, the mood was very calm. Beach is 2 blocks and the hotel provides beach towels. Highly recommend

A basic accommodation with everything you need. Great location by the beach, and the airport. We were happy with the property and location, great value! Worried about the sound from the airplanes but it didn’t end up keeping us up. Perfect stay for flying out early next morning. Would recommend.

Our first time in PR and we needed a hotel near the airport for the first night. This place more than foot the bill! If we were staying in San Juan for longer than a night I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here long term. Locally owned instead of big time corporate accommodations. Affordable, safe, clean and every staff member greeted us with a smile and hello! I highly recommend Hotel Del Sol for local flair and a good night rest. Clean and close to everything

The hotel is quite quaint compared to all the corporate types in the area. The staff is absolutely wonderful and helpful. All types of food available within a 10 walk radius. Local cuisine was above average, sorry i didnt try it earlier. I will definitely look here on future trips. Beaches are very closeby as well.

Sleep hard to come by.

This is a bit similar to a hostel. Staff are great. Some nice areas to relax and pool is adequate. However, the window curtains are not good and the room was very bright from the street all night. I felt like I was living in Finland and had to cram things in the window to get some semblance of darkness. The hotel also has a car rental service so expect to be woken early by the sounds of pressure washers and vacuums every morning. Sheets and blankets are thin. It's a basic hotel. If I had been able to sleep I wouldn't be complaining. I don't care that much about special amenities but I left sleep deprived and exhausted.

Nice clean

We're initially shown to a cramped queen room although we booked a king. They did move us but new room isn't great. Strong smell of Lysol, ants, bright fluorescent lights with broken bedside lamp. Cute pool and lobby area, helpful staff, but depressing and rundown overall. Would not recommend or stay again.

Miss Marie and the rest of the was amazing. This is probably the cleanest Hotel Ive been to. They even have a little greeter always at the door waiting for your return. I hope shes okay. Thank you P.R. , Jeffrey Christopher

The lobby, pool area and second floor seating area was very nice. The rooms we stayed in need to be updated. However, the staff was great, they accommodated us when needing a room change. They were also very helpful with getting us a car when the surrounding area had no cars available. I would stay again due to how nice and accommodating they were.

Villa del Sol is a small, sweet hotel 3 minutes away from Isla Verde Beach. We had a family reunion and most of the family stayed there (6 rooms). All the rooms are different, some bigger than others, but all of them are comfortable. It gives what it announces, the service is perfect; as a Puerto Rican now living in the US I felt it was a home for our family visit.

Got stuck in San Juan after a flight cancellation, was able to book a last minute room. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Beach within walking distance, short distance to the airport. Tons of nearby restaurants.

Truly enjoyed our stay, very clean facilities, very friendly staff, mostly updated rooms, comfortable beds, new bathroom, good location, pool is great, room doors need to be upgraded and car cleaning for the onsite car rental is noisy in the mornings. Overall, very happy, and good value!

Excellent hotel, family friendly and very well located. Access to the beach is few minutes away, staff is really nice. Our room was really spacious and we enjoyed the patio. This was the perfect place for our family.

Cute villa. Loved all the cute minor details. All the staff was amazing. If you are looking for a worry free vacation stay here. They provided pool and beach towels. Rooms were cleaned well. Pool was beautiful. Always fresh coffee in the mornings.

Good charming hotel

It is a charming, no frills hotel. The room and bathroom was very clean. 5 min walk to beach, just ask for room away from the main road as traffic noise can be disturbing your sleep. I suggest owners to invest in sound proofing rooms.

I liked that it was convenient to everything that I like. The beach was around the corner and the area was safe...and if you wanted to stay closer, they also have a pool.

3rd time staying here, staff are always friendly n willing to go the extra mile. My experience was excellent.

Staff was wonderful, from housekeeping to front desk! Room condition was another story! I don’t know if the mini split A/C has been cleaned out lately but I developed a runny nose that only happens when there is mold! The ceiling in the room was sagging as well! Morning staff was noisy at 0745ish most mornings! I gather it was the younger one as the older staff were very respectful at all times! Mixed feelings! Great restaurants around the area that were expensive but the amount of food was ridiculous! If they fixed the property I would go back!

Great Hotel for our family. Our kids loved playing in the pool. Grocery store and restaurants in walking distance. Airport only a few minutes away. Parking was limited. I would stay here again.

This is our second time staying at Villa del Sol and we love it, as we did the first time. It is a nice cozy hotel. It is very well taken care of and has what is needed for comfort. We found everything clean. I don’t like the color yellow, but it definitely makes this place beautiful. It has a simple but very nice and clean pool. I recommended it to family that travels to PR and they liked the pictures and video I shared. Also, the staff is wonderful. These are people that are very polite and attentive. They smile and that makes me feel welcome. When we come back to PR, if we have to stay in the San Juan area, this is where we’ll stay. Thank you! I hope everything goes well with this business, because they deserve it!

Cool vibe! I definitely felt like I was experiencing the local culture by staying here. would recommend!!!

Reception area was nice and pool area. Room was clean and cold air was on when we got to the room which was a plus. They didn't have conditioner for hair. We also didn't like the area they hold your bags in anyone could come take the bags or go though them because it was in a unlocked open area. Also didn't like room window at street level. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Let's face it, it served its purpose, is a small B&B, good if you use it as a preflight or precruise stay. The facility needs maintenance, the locks of the door of the 2 bedrooms that I booked didn't worked. Accessibility of the hotel is not the best and parking is a hassle. Like I said if it is a short stay it will serve its purpose. Excellent if your interested to use the beach near the hotel located at walking distance. Rooms were spacious, with big beds but very small closet if your going with family.
