This hotel provides excellent value for a city break. Lots of the major sites are
I was in Rome for only 2 nights so I just needed somewhere to comfortably sleep and keep my belongings safe while I made the most out of my time in Rome. Hotel Verona was the perfect place for that.
Room is small but cozy. Front desk guys are very nice. Worthy of the $$
Hotel Verona is perfect to suit your needs: it is located in the safe neighborhood, situated in the walkable distance to Colosseum and Roman Forum, fountain Trevi, Palazzo Barberini, Galleria Colonna, Piazza Venezia and other historical and cultural sites. People on the reception are very welcoming, professional and ready to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There are a lot of places to eat and to buy something, if you decide to have breakfast or cup of tea or coffее in the room . Local supermarkets Carefour and Pam are working from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm. Breakfast included pretty wide selection and was enough to get you ready for your journey. I recommend Hotel Verona if you are looking basic place of stay in the Rome.
Would stay again
We loved this our stay. The room was very comfortable, staff was so helpful. We felt safe. It was fairly easy to get to transportation and we would definitely stay there again.
Hotel is small but very centric. The rooms are sound proofed and we loved our balcony. We visited in March and stayed in several cities around Italy so I won’t batch the hotel for the Air conditioning as sometimes it felt hot since we experienced the same in all hotels we stayed. I would definitely stay there again, only 8-10 minutes walk to Roma Termini, 15 minutes walk to Trevi fountain.
Small tourist Hotel inna great location.
An older building but well kept with a friendly and helpful staff. Walking distance to main train terminal and the historic centre. Many good restaurants and shops nearby.
Very nice
Very convenient location. Roughly 10 minute walk from Termini. Multiple bus stops up and down the block to take you to the points of interest you want to see in Rome. Hotel itself is pretty clean.
It's a good option if you want to be close to termini station and the colosseum.
Thanks a lot for this lovely stay and as usual adorable service
Fantastic Stay!
We loved every second of it. From the friendly staff, to the cute street views, all the way to the ideal city location!
Good
very nice location
Great location
Hotel was clean and in a great location to walk to major landmarks. Sometimes noisy at night from sirens and people screaming in the streets but to be expected staying downtown
We stayed for 2 nights very nice hotel even 3*** will back again to this hotel in roma
Great Location and helpful staff
I saw two large rats right outside the hotel, on two separate occasions. The hotel appeared to be outdated, shower room was not sanitary. The only positive thing was the elder man who checked us in. He was very kind and spoke English very well. He was helpful and very accommodating
Nice hotel with good location. The only down side was the noise (seagulls and church bells) but that’s not the hotels fault I think it will be like that pretty much anywhere inside the city. It’s a good hotel to stay at. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful.
We had a great experience. The hotel staff were super friendly!
Great place to stay, close to everything.
Polite and helpful staff, hotel is older but well maintained. A great place for the price.
Really conveniently located between Termini and attractions like the Colosseum. The folks at the front desk were super friendly as well. The room was a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. I had been a bit nervous about the location prior to arriving, but I felt perfectly safe walking back to the hotel in the dark from the train station. Lovely place to stay!
Staff was great. Room was great as well, it had all we needee. Thank you!
The staff are so sweet and helpful! They helped us bring our bag to our room and were very kind.
Great location, clean and close to restaurants and attractions. Couldn't get heat to work but didn't really need it.
Awesome and highly recommended
Very comfortable!!
.friendly staff and perfect location.
Great location excellent staff who was really helpful, highly recommend this hotel really enjoyed our stay
Very nice
Overall it was fine, Great location, very friendly, helpfull and polite staff, good value for money
Location was ideal. Staff knowledgable. Walking distance to Colosseum, termini and several restaurants. Rooms were small but clean. Unfortunately the walls are paper thin. So you can hear the other guests all the time.
Nice hotel in a good location. Not luxurious but comfortable.
Hello everyone, I have one bad note abut check out is so early at 10 am
We enjoyed our stay. Very good location
Perfect for our needs for 2 adults and 2 kids Close to station Close to main tourist area Good room with great aircon Comfortable bed and amenities The staff at the reception were kind and very helpful I would definitely recommend Thank you for having us
Very friendly staff and nice rooms
Thanks a lot Verona Team we felt like home in your amazing hotel with the warm hospitality we felt from all stuff and looking forward to seeing you again soon
AC in the room was way toooo loud and take it off
Overall it was a good stay. The room we stayed in was quite small but in reality you don’t stay in much when you’re touring the city. The bed could have used a foam or memory mattress topper to make it a bit softer. The area seemed safe and quiet with a few small restaurants around. Very walkable… make sure to visit the impressive Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore a couple of blocks away!
Rooms are tired but location was brilliant so overall worth the money
Staff was very friendly, we asked to have our family of 8, with 2rooms placed as closely together as possible, and they delivered. Only complaint- there was a strong smell from the toilet in one of our rooms and it would've been nice to have had complimentary water in our rooms. We would stay there again. Great gelato near by and lots of souvenir shops.
Great cuatomer service and very friendly
A well positioned hotel for my travels, offering clean facilities and friendly staff throughout. Thank you, I would definitely stay there again and recommend to others.
Nice location in a very cute neighborhood, and very convenient to get to Termini station. Staff was also very helpful and sweet! We only stayed one night, but loved spending time on the balcony of the room, and the A/C worked well which was a relief from the hot temps outdoors.
We loved our stay in Hotel Verona. The room was clean and had a lovely balcony. Staff were pleasurable and helpful. AC was icy cold and restaurants are located just steps out the front entrance. 10 out of 10.
Excellent location.
Close to the station and tourist attractions.

No elevador, para personas de la tercera edad y subir y bajar tantas escaleras fue terrible
This hotel is conveniently located so it is not hard to walk to major attractions as well as the main train station. Hotel is equipped with elevators so no need to carry your luggage through stairwells. Room a little tight but large bathroom, good AC. Front desk was very courteous and professional.
Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotel was old but very clean and comfortable. Walkable location near to shops and restaurants
Very convenient to all the amazing sites to visit in Rome.
Good base for exploring Rome.
Easy walk from metro. Check in was simple and staff were very pleasant and helpful, Comfortable enough for a night's stay, air con was not very efficient although we were experiencing extreme heat at the time of our visit. Clean throughout and ideally placed for main tourist attractions. Family of 4.
The staff was great- really great! The rooms were fine.
Great staff. Great location to walk everywhere we wanted to go.
Hotel Verona was great for the price you pay, had a homie feel and was in walking distance to Rome’s major attractions
The staff was fabulous. The hotel was exceedingly clean and well kept. It’s in a great location for easy access to a supermarket and several restaurants. Even the younger children (5,9,12) enjoyed the hotel. Highly recommend this hotel.
It was a really good place to stay.
Great place to stay before the cruise
The staff and the cleanliness of the hotel are outstanding. Room and furniture are a bit outdated, but perfectly clean and convenient for a few nights. Location is great, super close to the train station and to most attractions.
This property is a good value for the money. The breakfast for 10 euro was worth every penny. The Colosseum is a 20 minute walk. The staff is lovely and very helpful. The room was very small but we made it work for us. The beds are firm but comfortable. This is was an affordable, workable option and we are happy with our stay.
Hotel Verona was a very nice place to stay that was walkable to all the sights of Rome. Our room was quite small but suited our needs. The staff was very friendly and helpful with local recommendations. We would gladly stay again!
Do not get your hopes up too high about hotels in Rome (most of Italy’s tourist areas really). Everything is a bit tight, not the most modern and the breakfast at this hotel is very minimal. However, the staff does what they can to help and are as accommodating as they can be.
Great place to stay
Very friendly staff and nice location
Some of the rooms face a street with a fair amount of traffic was my room was a little noisy at night. Rooms that face the back I suspect are quiet. Staff were helpful.
it is an average 3 stars hotel price is not bad. bathroom layout is bad and is too small.
I will definitely stay here again. Great customer service from the front desk people! The house keepers were super nice and helped get my bags to my room. The only negative comment is there are too many stairs! Up 5 steps from the lobby to the elevator. Once out of the elevator you go down about 8 steps to get to your floor, then around the corner and down two more steps. It was a hassle moving my luggage. I’m only putting this in to advise those with mobility issues that this may not be the hotel for you. It is centrally located about 30 minute walk to Forum and Colosseum. 5 minute walk to Santa Maria Maggiore which is a stop for all the hop on hop off tours. Lots of restaurants and souvenir/snack/liquor shops. The hotel does offer a breakfast for €10 euros but I never went to it. It is an old building so don’t expect big and fancy, but if clean, cosy and friendly make you smile, this is a great choice!
The location was good for walking. Close to Termini and walk to all the major places you'd like to see in Rome. We had large bags, coming ftom a cruise. There was an elevator....no nowhere! We were on 1st floor and elevator stopped between 1 and 2. We either had to haul bags up from lobby to 1st floor or down to 1st floor. Strange setup but it is an old European hotel. Very basic room...but clean! It stopped between floors so we had to haul bags up flights of stairs.
The staff and specially the front desk receptionist is great. Giulia is very friendly, always willing to help and went above an beyond to help us. The hotel is located in a great area.
The hotel was nice & clean. Very friendly & helps staff. Only complaint I have is that bathroom & shower was small. Would probably stay again if ever in Roma.
Shame on Expedia & H.com for misleading info
Hotel Verona was fine, the rating system at Hotels.com has not gone to pot. We've used H.com for more than 10 years and we booked a buch of rooms this time, under the new Expedia ownership and the 1 Key program stinks...so much worse than the old program at H.com. The information on half a dozen hotels is Very Poor and misleading...Verona was a last minute change, in Rome, because the previous "hotel" was really a rooming house with dirt, dirt dirt! Verona went out of their way to see that we were cared for in their small hotel near the main train station. It is listed as a 3 star, but that is a small stretch. We were comfortable and the staff cared about our broken AC, and offered another room but it was not as nice as what we had so we stayed put. And it wasn't too hot. As to Expedia and H.com, they way over pitched their Italian hotels Lake Como was dirty and only a 1 star, though the hotel called themselves a 2 star...but Expedia implied it as 3 stars...
I loved how friendly and professional the employees were! But the beds were not comfortable at all and the room was very small.
Would recommend
For us it was a good location near the train station. Florence is pretty walkable so it wasn't an issue for us. The building is safe and secure. Check in/out process was simple, they held our bags when needed. Room was sizable, in a back corner BUT as silly as it sounds, we had the most amazing view from the bathroom! Everything was clean. It's a perfect match for the price point.
Not a luxury hotel Very basic Affordable
Staff were very helpful. Within walking distance to major attractions
Family trip to Italy
Wonderful hotel and staff! Very friendly and accommodating. Helped make our trip very pleasant! The hotel is a short walk to the colosseum and an easy Uber trip to other areas in Rome.
Great service but need to service their AC systems
Such a cute hotel for our 2 days in Rome. Wonderful staff, and amazing location for walking to all the sights
Helpful, friendly staff!
Fantastic helpful & friendly staff. Be aware there is a lift, but still a flight of stairs to get to the rooms. Bed was very comfortable Ideally situated for train station, attractions, restaurants etc Rooms are getting tired
Wet friendly staff, excellent location
Great location, safe and friendly staff. The rooms are small, beds are not comfortable and the bathrooms are super tinny. The toilet is inside the shower. For a one night stay it was ok but other than that I don’t recommend.
The staff made the difference. The rooms are very basic, but central location and very helpful staff!
We had requested a balcony (the one reason we picked this hotel) and were given what I’m sure was the smallest room in the place instead. We had asked to move and the front desk said they were booked. We saw probably only 4 other people come in and out of there during the entire stay and even in the “booked room” boxes (they had papers in the ones you could visibly see of booked rooms) they weren’t full. It also was super noisy with trash coming very early every morning as it was at a crossroads .
Had a good stay in Rome, walkable distance from train station and colosseum and other major locations
Hotel was very clean and staff was friendly. The room was also a decent size and location was convenient.
Very good morning helpful staff, all shifts. Very comfortable room.eadt to get around the city from this location .
Staff was amazing, they were super attentive and helpful at all times. They communicated with us in English and Spanish and were super nice!
Very nice small hotel in great central location. We walked to everything we wanted to see from the hotel. Only a four because you have to haul your luggage up and down a flight of stairs. Elevator only holds 2 people and stops in between the floors where the rooms are located so you have to navigate stairs.
The staff was very accommodating and caring.
Perfect spot: not flashy but very serviceable
We had a fabulous day at the hotel. It was very clean, and even though the rooms are small, it was adequate. Our room had fabulous floor length windows in the bathroom and the bedroom so you could open them up and you didn’t feel closed in. We were on the fourth floor and there is an elevator but the steps were very easy to navigate. The beds were comfortable. The pillows were large and the shower was hot and worked well. The air-conditioner was brilliant as it helped alleviate the heat of Rome. We were able to get a kettle and cups so that we could make our own coffee and tea in our room for a refundable deposit. We stayed for three nights and it was a perfect location. About 20 minutes to the Trevi fountain, 25 minutes to the Colosseum and easy walking distance to all the other attractions. There is a restaurant downstairs that is not attached to the hotel but we highly recommend it for coffees and for food. We ate there a number of times. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful and if I was ever in Rome again, I would stay again.
Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about touring historic sites and about transportation options. Breakfast was good.
The staff was great. The receptionists were very helpful and answered all our questions. The room was clean and bright, and the room service was always on time. Will be coming back! Thank you so much.
nostalgic
Poor flushing toilet
We had trouble flushing our toilet and everyday of our three day stay we asked front desk about this problem. No solution was found.
Great location and very clean and friendly.
Great location and friendly staff
Our room was changed from large quadruple to small room, next day we were moved to large room. Showers are small not even suitable for cat bath. No breakfast was given to us. AC is there but without remotes and when asked for remote they said I’ll get that next day. Avoid this room at all cost as there are many better options nearby

The hotel does say they have Parking on the description, however there is absolutely NO parking available. Their only option is a public parking in another building away from hotel. If you find a parking in front of hotel is like parking in a downtown where you need to deposit coins every so often unless is a Sunday which is Free. However, finding a parking there is very difficult unless you are patient and continue driving around. Also the walls in the room DOES NOT block sounds. You WILL hear everything the neighbor does. Other than that, we had a good experience with the staff.
