Great place! We loved our stay at THB Maria Isabel. Breakfast was delicious and full of options. Staff was great too, overall a lovely experience. Pool was amazing. Parking can be hard due to the high season, but with patience you can find a street public spot available

Awful! Did not have reservation at check in. We had to wait an hour. Then, Air conditioning did not work in both rooms. They finally after much debate, switched us to other rooms at midnight. New rooms had AC but one room smelled of vomit! Do not recommend at all!

Everything was very good. Just maybe some room for improvement for dinner, used to be more sea food options.

This was a basic and OK stay. Air con needs to be better in room and food quality is not great. I would not choose half board. Pool area is fine but small for the size of the hotel.

Great property located in a great location. The breakfast buffet was great with lots of options and very helpful/friendly staff. Unfortunately did not have time to enjoy the pool during my short stay, but it looked nice! Convenient location for restaurants, shopping, beach.

Amazing

Excellent chilled out hotel. Good food for breakfast and dinner - fish cooked right in front of you. Nice outside and inside pool as well as a small sauna. Fantastic views from rooms. Friendly staff. Location is good for exploring. TV channels in rooms could perhaps be improved to show football (for example) and not just news type channels from around Europe.

Excellent Hotel for the Money

Clean, comfortable and attractive, with friendly staff and reasonably good steam-table buffet food with some variety from day-to-day. Good location, suitable cycling facilities in the basement and small indoor and outdoor pools. Convenient to the 25 bus to Palma and to the A-2 bus to the airport. Good value for the money and nothing negative to report.

Would Stay Again

I was looking for a great place to stay in Palma, and this place was an awesome fit! The room was cozy with a spacious bathroom and a fantastic view of the coastline. The hotel was adults-only which was nice; it was pretty quiet for the duration of my stay. The beach is about a 5-minute walk from the hotel and there are plenty of shops, stores, and restaurants nearby. It’s close to PMI airport (5-10min) and downtown Palma/city center (15min) and accesible and private vehicle or public transport. The food (an extra cost or can be added to the reservation) was fantastic. The facilities (gym, sauna, indoor AND outdoor pool) were great as well. The staff were very friendly and assisted well with any questions I had and during check-in and check-out. When I visit Palma again, I would absolutely stay here.

Great location, walking distance to beach, buses, airport is 9 min away (drive) restaurants are great and a lot quieter than the ones right next to airport and on the motorway. Indoor and outdoor swimming bool both great and warm, maybe breakfast may need some spicing up cant complain for price included in hotel but rest was all great

Great Hotel in a great location

Check in was nice and easy. Its great that the hotel wrist band is also the key to the room, which was very clean with a long balcony. We asked to be on a high floor to maximise the view and we were not disappointed. The room had a kettle and fridge but they dont provide tea & coffee. The beds could have been new as they were very comfy. The buffet breakfast was really good eggs, bacon and omlettes were cooked to order. Yes, i agree with other reviews about having to queue for tea, coffee and even water. Evening meals were also very good. There was always plenty of choice with fish, steaks, chops etc cooked to order, and always lots of fresh fruit available. All the staff that worked in the restaurant were extremely nice and helpful. The pool area was always clean and tidy, and the water cooler in the gym was a bonus. No need to buy loads of plastic bottles of water. The hotel is in a great location. Minutes from the beach and all the action on Playa de Palma strip. The mainly young German tourists were very entertaining to watch staggering about in crazy outfits. We tended to follow the crowd and take a carryout of drinks to the beach and sit on the Prom wall watching the world go by while listening to the various buskers. Palma city is very accessible via the regular buses that pass close by to the hotel. A few stops away is a large shopping centre that has a C&A and Primark. Reception was always very helpful. Would definitely return and recommend the hotel to others.

Close to the beach. Geat food selection. Parking was easy to find Only improvement needed, staff should know how to communicate better, air conditioning blowing warm air even turn the termostat to the lowest setting. When asked the front desk theybsaid will chk next day. Slept thru warm air first night. Next day they told us Centralized air is not available as it is still on winter schedule and instructed us to set to 22"c. That solved the issue. Overall its been good experince.

Great hotel in a great location

Its that good we have decided to stay longer! The resort is mainly geared up to look after the mainly German crowd.

Mediocre hotel , for sure not 4Star. Most guest are German, loud, obnoxious, rude, dirty people. It’s like a military camp. indoor pool and sauna mostly closed and chained off! closes supposedly at 7pm . Which would be too early, if it was open! in the room hair as far as you can see! Dirty! Hotel is dated! Breakfast room chained off as wel until the very limited dining times. Everything in this hotel is very controlled, probably on good for Germans. Bad customer service overall. I stored my bag since i couldn’t pay to stay a couple of hours longer. My bag was broken in to, No accountability ! Sign for fees for breaking hotel inventory at the reception desk! Not very inviting. No international TV channels! Bed uncomfortable! The gym a nightmare, just a shag!! Welcome drink , cheap watered down sparkling wine. The breakfast selection was ok. There are better hotels in the area, Good luck!

Food great. Clean and well maintained. A little noisy for my liking, especially if on 1st floor due to the restaurant being on the floor below. Don't expect to be able to sleep past 08:00. Walls paper thin and noise carries down corridors.

Brilliant location

Very basic hotel but fine for 1 night. I stayed here on my final night to be closer to the airport. It's perfect for that as it's only 10 mins drive from the airport and €20 in a taxi. I would not stay here for more than 1-2 nights. The hotel is very basic, the bathroom door in room 26 is filthy and the room can't be locked from the inside which doesn't feel safe. The balcony is also tiny. The aircon and fridge are very loud, I had to switch them off at night. There was no lift to my room so I had to carry by suitcase up the stairs. The bar staff isn't welcoming at all and they looked bored. The reception staff were nice though.

Another good stay

Nice hotel, good location. Choose adult only because they are quiet and this place is. A few younger groups, but staff reminded them when necessary and no ongoing issues. Rooms are nice and clean, with fantastic views! Staff are all friendly and very helpful. Food was fine for a buffet style.

It's not a formal 4* hotel but considering the price I paid and services they provide, I am quite happy myself. It is not a luxury hotel but very good facilities, great service and one important, the hotel restaurant provides lovely food in good prices. Very nice stay.

Staff are very friendly, helpful and attentive. Rooms are a decent size; beds are comfortable. But they are a bit 'tired' looking. Walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from adjoining rooms. Cleaned well each day. Location is great, quiet area, close to beach/sea. Loads of restaurants within an easy walk. Close to the airport but it doesn't disturb the peace at all. Breakfast was good. Good range buffet-style, plus a section for the chef to cook fresh fried eggs, omelettes and bacon. For me, needs more options on food/drink packages. And there was no pool bar food service, which was a shame. Great pool, but needs more sun umbrellas available.

Hidden gem at very reasonable price

Don't be put off by the 80's style building or the fact that it's situated a couple of blocks behind the beach. It quickly didn't matter when you're high above looking out to the sea, the airport and the city in the distant. The area is quiet, rooms are clean (we stayed in two different rooms as we had two separate bookings), wifi is good (you do have to sign in every time you return to your room), aircon very efficient and breakfast many choices. We previously stayed in those expensive ones right in front of the beach for double the price. I wouldn't do that again. This is more than good enough. Only one person is behind the counter at a time but that seems to be the same in many places in Europe.

No refill for toiletries at the bathroom and coffee/tea, Gym was very small/dark. I paid only 47GBP per night for a room with balcony with sea view including breakfast so overall it was a great stay. Most guests were over 50s so quiet too. Thanks!

Food was disappointing - pretty bland all round. If staying here - just do B&B and eat out. Room ok but not great soundproofing. Unfriendly bartender. Staff friendly at the main desk. I wouldn't rate it Four start - 3 at best.

Lovely hotel

Close to the airport, walking distance to the beach and bus stop to Palma. It has 12 floors and an indoor and outdoor pool. We were on floor 6 and had a balcony with a lovely sea view. The breakfast buffet had a big selection - something for everyone and can enjoy it on the outdoor patio or in the restaurant. Staff were lovely and the rooms bright with air conditioning. Also had a kettle, fridge and hair dryer. Had no complaints. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance although the hotel offers a buffet dinner for 10 euros. Wifi was good.

Not really a 4-star hotel

Very slow check-in. There is only one receptionist in a shift. Should be more for a 4-star hotel... Small room. The beds are placed next to the door. Thin walls, so you can hear the neighbors. The fridge is very small, and not cooling enough. The balcony door was not shutting well. Probably got broken from the strong winds, so they tried to fix it by putting a door bolt. Very genius. The cleaning staff was not really cleaning the room. They just make the bed. The towels are not changed every 2-3 days, and you need to ask the reception to give you shampoo and soap. The breakfast was good, and kind of a same each day. It starts from 8, which I personally think it's too late. The dinner was great and had wide variety of dishes. But it lasts only 2 hours, in some weird time slot from 19 to 21. The first night, we arrived late in the evening and missed the dinner. Although notified about our arrival, the hotel staff had not prepare any food or lunch packets for us. The restaurant staff is nice and friendly though. Overall, not a 4-star hotel.

July visit for a week, clean bright and fairly modern.No music or entertainment of any kind day or night so lacked atmosphere, we stayed all inclusive but just felt disjointed, resturants on a different floor, always a wait for drinks soft or alcoholic.Some of the bar staff miserable so didn't feel welcome.Couldn't drink or smoke by pool I understood why but it was an adult only hotel but made to feel like a child, room was nor cleared properly e.g bathroom.Food variety was ok and the staff in resturants were lovely always.If you want a very quiet stay this is the one for you. Limited sunbeds/ parasols around pool and limited seating outside u see shade so if very hot your stuck but to sit inside.

Excellent reasonably priced hotel

Booked for a quick three night break, excellent hotel close to the beach, bars and restaurants and airport (15 euros in a cab). It is a predominately German resort so if you’re looking for a touch of the real Spain or more English style then this won’t be for you.

Avoid unless you are a German frat boy

Plus: easy to get into Palma. Close to the airport. Spar (groceries) around the corner. Minus: full of German frat boys, too close to the Marbella part which was just terrible (drunk people and football hooligans), can't drink your own juice at the pool, no ice, don't replace things like coffee sachets in the room, sheets not cleaned (I spotted lipstick on one). Pay to use safe in room.

1. this place does not feel like a 4 start hotel, more like a 2 or max. 3 star. 2. I had a room where could hear every word from my neighbor, who was on the phone for hours all night. 3. air condition could only heat 50 degrees the first night. 4. either technician for air condition or cleaning lady kept my door to the balcony open. 5. very poor main door to the room, so you could hear everything in the corridor. 6. shower tray not finished work 7. air condition unit and small fridge in the room very noisy.

A brief 3 day visit

The hotel was lovely and the staff were lovely too. I found it very strange that I would have had to hire the safe in the bedroom if I had wanted to use it. I have travelled all my life and have never had to hire a safe before. I should come as standard!!. Also even more strange there was a kettle in the room but no tea/coffee. I asked about it and was told that they don't proved that and you have to buy it at the corner shop!! Again I have never experienced that before. Usually if there is a kettle in the room then there is Tea and Coffee. Apart from that the room was clean and modern. My deal came with all inclusive food in the package and I upgraded to All Inclusive of drinks as well which was a great deal to have. I must say that generally the food was not a really high standard, some dishes were really good like the lasagne but others like the Cordon Blur was best left alone. Breakfast was good but could maybe do with a few more choices of good muesli and cereal. I enjoyed my stay though thank you.

Excellent base for exploring island.

Hotel is freshly re-furbished and has crisp modern feel to it. The buffet in the restaurant has wide range of choices and all food was of a high standard. The clientelle during our stay in Mar 17 were almost exclusively middle aged Germans and the staff, though Spanish, routinely spoke German to all guests. Not a problem for me as a fluent German speaking Brit but might be an issue gir some.

Being there in the winter was great because the island was very quiet and peaceful and the weather was still warm enough to enjoy the beach.The hotel staff was super friendly and the hotel was an overall great value!

Nice and helpful staff

We stayed for 7 days. Its nice, clean hotel. The staff was nice and helpful. The area is very german oriented but everyone speaks english just dont be surprised if all menus are in german and venues have german themes. The hotel is up a few blocks from the beach which made in quieter but in the off season wyou must head to the beach for an atmosphere.

A very short walk from all the facilities

We arrived early and were very quickly given our All Inclusive wrist band so we could go get food and drink. When we got our room - we were delighted - 11th floor is no problem for either of us. Great bathroom BIG beds. Refrigerator ( a complimentary bottle of water would have been a nice touch). Safe facility. Open wardrobe. Big tV with the usual German oriented programs but with so much sun and fum who needs TV. Lovely outside pool with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. An indoor pool and Sauna as well. And clean, clean, clean. So why would I not recommend this place - we are 68 and 69 and really this Hotel is suited to the 18 - 40 age bracket who want to pull an all-nighter at the Mega Arena (Google it - the place never closes but boy does it look fun, fun, fun). It is close to the Airport but that never bothered us - it was far enough away and close enough to get to. Regular buses to Palma at a ridiculous low price. Finally, the Staff were fantastic , loved everything except for the occasional drunk "youth".

Good value for money

We chose this hotel based on the price and being located close to the airport. The pool was small but nice and it wasn't overly busy. Our room again was small for three guests but clean and we always got fresh towels. The shower was spacious although the temperature constantly changed from hot to cold when used. The view from the balcony was nice. The breakfast was great, there was a large selection. Lunch was very limited and I found it very difficult to find anything to eat which didn't contain some sort of sausage / pork / grey coloured meat. Dinner was also very good with a bigger selection. When getting drinks at the bar there was only one bar tender meaning that service was extremely slow. Some of the bar staff in particular were very rude and grumpy. You were only allowed to have one drink at a time and were not served unless you brought your plastic cup back as we found out when Sebastian the bar man made us go up 11 floors to retrieve our plastic cups before being served. At dinner you also had to go to the bar rather than table service to get a drink which you might not expect at a 4 star hotel. We were in the minority being British at this hotel as it was filled with German holidaymakers. They were often in large groups who spent the day playing loud music and getting drunk. They were very loud, it was like a German club18-30s holiday. The hotel was good value for money but it was more like 3 stars than 4. It felt more basic than luxury.

Nice hotel

A very nice hotel, the room was excellent, I was half board and surprised by how nice the evening meals were, and only for an additional 9 euros, making the hotel great value for money. The hotel was very clean and a good place to stay, the only reason for not giving five stars was because when I returned to my room after a day of adventure I couldn't get into my room and this happened on a few occasions, think it was after the cleans had been.

Nice hotel with lovely pool and near the beach

Nice hotel conveniently close to the fantastic beach and only 10min taxi ride from the airport! A lot of young party people so not entirely quiet in the evenings and early nights. You'll get your room at 2pm so if you're early prepare to wait or leave your bags there and go walk to the promenade by the beach and see the shops. Staff were lovely and helpful, and room though a bit outdated in decor was absolutely clean and had a nice balcony. There was a restaurant and a bar for drinks (snacks not so much and I didn't really see the bar being used by anyone) but didn't use either myself so cannot comment on food etc. Personally I'd stay with a perhaps more family-oriented (=quiet) hotel next time, but otherwise cannot find fault in it.

Great value for the money paid. The staff was friendly and helpful, but they didn't have enough people. The bartender was the restaurant waiter so in order to have the front desk for them to contact the restaurant, for them to send he bartender downstairs to serve a drink. No way to run a show. The hotel management need to bring more employees to serve the guest, instead of saving money by no hiring the required personnel to run the hotel.

A pleasant enough hotel in a good location

My week-long stay at the hotel (in late October 2013) was good value for money for full-board and there were no disappointments. Everything was as one might have expected after seeing the photos. The food was always reasonable and the facilities were certainly acceptable for a mid-range hotel.

Good hotel for the price paid

The first thing you must know is that this area of Majorca is known as `little germany` as most of the hotels and bars etc.. cater for the German tourist. Big cycling area too. Do`nt let that put you off, decent hotel [for the price ], clean ,food is fair, staff are ok.Have been previously and did not disappoint.

Good hotel

We only stayed for 3 nights here, but of what we experienced it was quite nice. It seemed a bit old and not extremely luxurious, but it was ok. The only problems we had with the hotel was the beds because we wanted a twin bed, but there were actually just two beds put next to each other, and they were not very comfortable either. I guess the bed separation is quite normal in hotels. Also the food in the bar was horrible. We tried a cheeseburger, and that didn't seem like food for humans. The breakfast was good though. All in all it was a good hotel for that price. Its close to a nice beach and the restaurants.

Okay Hotel, A short guide to surroundings

Hotel was okay, same problem like other hotels with double bed. They just put two beds together and these beds will be running from each other all night long, very uncomfortable beds. Room location was nice so we had a nice view. Toilet was nice. We stayed in standard bed room and it was written that we will have a couch but nothing was there. No fridge in room, a tiny little TV but who cares about it. Reception was nice. The best thing was breakfast buffet, it was awesome. Location of hotel is perfect since its near to beach. Buss number 21 goes directly from airport to the hotel there are many stops nearby but nearest one is H. Leman. The are of this hotel is Playa de Palma. If you are coming in Sunday then you might have to take bus 15 till you reach a bus stop where you can take 21. The best deal was to get a bike on rent for whole day in 5 Euros. We took bikes and went to city center, very nice views and nice bike. Whole town has very strict police security during day and even bike tracks are being watched by biker police. There is a shop on main street near beach named Aladin, they have best big meal and deals. There are many clubs and bars but few of them are English friendly, everything is Spanish or Dutch. Buy alcohol from supermarkets they have cheaper deals and some of them have it in fridge with same price.

Convenient stop for Airport

Hotel was comfortable for 1 night's stay after arriving at airport in early evening and reasonably quiet - 10 minute taxi trip from Palma airport. Buffet evening meal was reasonably priced and breakfast adequate.

Great Value

Stayed for 4 nights in order to take part in Palma Half Marathon. Predominanly german clientele. Staff very friendly and helpful at all times. Room perfectly comfortable with a cracking view over the Bay of Palma. TV only had Eurosport in English! Not a massive problem. Braekfast was adequate and filling. Buffet style evening meal great for a short stay but as we were on a good deal we're not complaining. Handy for beach and bus services into Palma. Lots of places to eat but for better deals come back a street from the promenade! Would definitely stay again if the price was right

THB Maria Isabel Playa de Palma - great value

We spent 4 nights in this popular hotel on a half board basis. Rooms were well presented with great views from the balcony. Attentive bedroom and dining staff and adequate food choices. Excellent access to beach, local cheap public transport, airport and tourist shops and bars. Location is in a quieter area of the Playa with mainly German tourists. Some other european nationalities were there and no other British ones. 20 minutes transfer to Palma at 1.25 euros each way. Would obviously be busier and pricier in high season.

Nice Hotel & Value for Money

Hi..We stayed in Hotel Maria Isabel for 4 nights & I must say that I am quite happy with our overall experience. The food served was good & overall it was a great value for money.

Close to the beach

The hotel was good i cant really complain the food was excellent. The room was not bad it was only like 2 blocks from the beach and one block from the bus stop. Although the hotel caters to GermanS they were able to speak english and make me feel welcome.

Hotel Maria Isabel; Playa de Palma

On arrival the receptionist was really nice. The hotel looks nice and the rooms were fine for a 3* hotel. The location is perfect. The door locks however were very poor and I woke up in the morning and finding the door of my room open.

Wir waren als Pärchen für zwei Nächte, die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer sauber, allerdings der Abfluss verstopft viele Sachen haben schief im Zimmer oder Bad gehangen und es war sehr hellhörig. Die Lage ist super zentral und man ist schnell am Strand. Witzig fand ich auch die Zimmer Schlüssel, die waren Armbänder.

Es ist eine tolles Erwachsen Hotel. Gern wieder. Nicht weit von Aale feierlich Lokale. Balneário 9 mit dem Bus 25 oder von A2 Flughafen erreichbar . Haltestelle Plaza Soun Rigo.

Mooi verzorgd hotel met een goed ontbijtbuffet Zalig om te Slapen , niks lawaai , vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel! Geen gedoe met handdoek leggen aan het zwembad !! Kom zeker terug als ik naar Mallorca ga !!! Lekkere foodtruck aan het zwembad !!

Saubere Zimmer, Safe vorhanden, Frühstück war gut bis auf die Säfte, die sind leider nicht frisch gepresst. Nah zum Strand.

Ein sehr schönes Hotel. Keine 10 Minuten zur Promenade

Trotz nähe zur Partymeile relativ ruhig. Zimmerservice war in 3 Tagen nicht einmal da. Sehr enttäuschend. Service Personal im Frühstücksbereich freundlich. Personal am Pool spricht weder deutsch, noch englisch. Sodass das bestellen sehr schwierig war. Zimmer unfassbar hellhörig.

Ich bin jedes Jahr mehrfach in diesem Hotel. Die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und machen alles dafür, dass die Gäste den Urlaub genießen. Die Zimmer sowie auch die Hotelanlage sind sehr sauber. Ich kann das Hotel guten Gewissens sehr empfehlen.
