Great place to stay.
Perfect location, nice big rooms, polite and helpful staff.
Hotel is ok only problem no left. Early morning car noise.
Not good enough
The staff weren't friendly. The room was very dusty and surfaces hadn't been cleaned and I found long hairs on the bathroom floor. After staying here for two nights I stayed at Old City Apart hotel, 10 mins walk away, it was a similar price to what I paid per night for Sultan's Inn. Therefore I conclude that Sultan's Inn was cheap but not cheerful and you can get more for the same price elsewhere.
It was amazing. The only thing I would complains about was the noise and the bathroom in the room quite small.
For the price its a good place if you are on budget. Beds and sheets could be more clean little dirty, same as towels. Place is old no elevator. My room had no view. Good thing its quite place hot water and good air conditioning, not smelly rooms bathroom was clean and staff are good not mean.
Location was great. The breakfast really needs improvements - never stayed in a hotel before with no fruits or cereals at the breakfast. The hot water in the shower (really needed for the cold weather) was intermittent.
Great location
Great location close to major sights, beds could have been more comfortable but still a good choice of hotel considering the price
The hotel was fine, the proximity to the tramway is a good point, the neighborhood (sultanahmet) was chic but expensive, breakfast was good but everyday is the same food, the staff are kind, the rooms are small, my overall stay was pleasant.
Was in a great location with views of the Sea of Marmara and the Bosphorus Straight. Also a rooftop terrace with a great view of the Blue Mosque. A good place to stay if one is on a limited time schedule as I was.
First room was dirty and very old. They theb moved us to gradually improving rooms during the stay. Breakfast was of variable quality and the dining area was not kept clean. Staff are nice though.
We loved this terrace with a view of the Bosphorus. Staff were friendly and helpful. It is very well situated for all the main sites and plenty of places to eat.
Small but great. I was looking for a safe and comfortable place to stay so this was perfect.
Central and super value hotel
Perfect location, lovely lobby area and polite helpful staff, nice sized rooms for the price and rooms in excellent condition. Only one negative in the breakfast area the staff insisted on throwing food out of the window to seagulls, hence attracting them to the windows. This was a real nuisance and caused a mess. After guests complained the staff just laughed with contempt and continued. Pity because this otherwise is a super little hotel in a very central but quiet street.
A charming, small boutique hotel on a quiet street close to the Blue Mosque and Haghia Sophia. Breakfast is provided and can be enjoyed on a covered, sunny terrace overlooking sea of Marmara. There is no lift to your room, but a porter will carry your luggage. Some rooms are small so choose a large one.
More clean, and the breakfast is poor, the hotel need a remodelacion, is old faschion
We like very much
The property has a good location in Old City. Small rooms, poor breakfast and no elevatior.
The hotel is in good position. Just 7 minutes walk from Sultanahmet square. But the room is very tight for 02 persons. The breakfast is pale and very limited options. The hotel has all necessary facilities such as Air-condition, Heating, Hair dryer, Mini freezer, Safe, Electric Ketly etc. But wifi Internet is extremely slow.
Beautiful location & rooftop patio! Minutes away from Little Hagia Sophia, Sultanahmet Mosque, Hagia Sophia, so much more. Rooftop patio view of Asia & Bosphorous Strait is amazing!
Nice small room
Room was quite small. But the location was great and price was good when you compare to others...
Affordable and a nice experience. Rooms are a bit small but overall service and staff concerns were very good.
Nice hotel in good location
Hotel is a bit basic but was clean and has an excellent location. Staff very helpful in making arrangements.
Not clean, very weak Wi Fi, very poor breakfast,
Bad experience We had to search and move to another hotel.
Small nice hotel, good location, and good price
It was a very comfortable warm and clean room

Tranfer to airport is cheaper just in the corner of the hotel...however is not that bad they charge 50 euros to and from....mt mother is 73 so I do not want a risk...
All Good!
We have a one night stay only and we did not face anything bad during it.
Good hotel, great location
Great location, less than 5 minutes from the Blue Mosque. Once you know where it is it is so easy to get to but was a bit tricky to find first time though Google Maps kept me right. Nice and quiet too, but there are a few cafes and bars nearby for food. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean. Breakfast was good, nice selection. Room was clean and comfortable. Bottled water and a couple of cakes in the fridge were a nice touch. Wi-Fi was reliable and had a strong signal. Very pleasant stay. Don't miss Little Hagia Sophia and the Bucoleon Palace, the hotel is right next to them and no-one seemed to go there. Very interesting little sights.
great solo trip
Very nice and small hotel.Very convenient location. Calm neighborhood. Friendly staff. Would go back
Nice friendly hotel.
Hotel was everything we needed, close to all attractions and amenities. Would defiantly stay there again.
Super helpful
Good stay despite minor setback at beginning. I arranged the shuttle/transportation through the hotel's website to pick us up at the airport, but there was a problem with the site, and our reservation was lost. We arrived a little flustered to the hotel. They were apologetic and made sure our return transportation was set up and confirmed for the next day. We only spent one night there because we were on a short layover with our flight to Romania this past February, but it was a pleasant stay. The owner was very helpful with suggestions on what we should see during our stay there and what was nearby. He even walked a little bit with us to give us directions to a hard-to-find restaurant we wanted to try. The rooms are very tiny, so if your idea of vacation is to relax in your hotel room, this is probably not the hotel for you. If you are looking to make the most of your time sightseeing in a short period of time, this is an excellent hotel, especially considering the price and nice staff.
A cozy hotel to stay in Istanbul
Friendly and wonderful staff. Try to accommodate to every request. Location of the hotel is near most the tourist attractions in Istanbul. Walkable.
Great breakfasts
Breakfast was included, and it was great every single morning! Are electrical outlets really expensive? It would have been nice to have more than one in the room.
Great location
Great location, safe area. Takes 5 minutes to walk to Blue mosque, Topkapi etc. I felt safe in general in Istanbul. Fresh breakfast. Very helpful and friendly staff. Room was small but all I needed was place to crash over as I was doing a lot of see sighting and walking around.Room cleaned every day. A lot of different options for dinners and lunches around that area. Excellent metro and tram links. Value for money!
pour condition
Very noisy & not quite at nights very small. Rooms and bad condition all rooms shower bad condition never go back to this hotel sorry
Perfect location for all the Sultanahmet sights!
Good hotel for the price and great location for the historical sites. Good breakfast on the 4th floor, that has an amazing view of the Blue Mosque as well!
Hotel surpassed my expectations!
At first, I didn't expect much from this 3-star hotel. I only booked the double room for myself and my friend who shared the room with me to bunk there as we didn't expect to stay much in the room during the day. As you must know, Istanbul is a vast city and it takes quite a chunk of your time just getting around places. Hence, I didn't expect much from the hotel in terms of comfort or service; however, even though the room was tiny and a bit crammed for two individuals, the room and bathroom were astonishingly clean. When I inspected the room at arrival, I realized that I had hit a bargain by booking at this hotel. The beds were comfortable enough, the fridge was spot clean and the furniture was relatively new. Hot water was always available and central heating was always operated during the night. Breakfast was always fresh and very Mediterranean (i.e. healthy!), with five types of jam to choose from, fresh tea and fresh fruits! The staff were very nice and friendly all the time and were always happy to assist. I would definitely stay at this hotel next time I'm in Istanbul! Recommended!
Lovely Hotel
We went for winter break. The room was small, but comfortable and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We asked for directions to a few places and they made sure to write it down for us. Even gave us a few tips.
Nice & cozy, good location and very friendly staff
It's a nice & cozy hotel with good location and friendly staff. We did have a room with a broken central hearing but they helped to change the room smoothly (we were given 2 options with one in another better hotel, since they only had one spare room on that date). Overall we're very happy with this hotel & would recommend to any friend asking for advice.
Great location, staff, breakfast. No elevators.
Very friendly staff. Walkable distance to all Sultanahmet area attractions. Value for money. Although no elevators and tight staircase.
Hotel Sultan's Inn
1. This hotel has a great location 2. The hotel staff is just excellent, very friendly and helpful 3. I would give three stars to room comfort, because it's little bit narrow. For example my room was approximately 12-14 square meters (entrance+bath+bedroom).
First trip to Istanbul
The staff was fantastic. Especially mr. Leo and mr. Mete, who were very welcoming and helpful for two first timers to Istanbul. We really enjoyed our stay, the hotel is with in walking distance to attractions, and great restaurants. The hotel helped book a great walking tour and we made great use of the 3 days in turkey.
Excellent location, great breakfast
This is a great hotel centred in Old Istanbul. Very friendly staff and great restaurants around and nearby metro. Breakfast was excellent and included in price.
The hotel is in a convenient location
The hotel is well situated . Walking distance from the mosques,Topkapi Palace and The Grand Bazaar ! The breakfast was always fresh . There is a roof terrace with a pleasant view . I felt safe in the hotel and area . The room was small but met all my needs. Some of the staff are very helpful . I would definitely recommend the hotel for a short stay.
I loved the atmosphere of old town.
The staff was friendly and also looked after my sick friend who stayed in the hotel. I just found the room very small with very little space for storage. I was pleased with the front desk who arranged all of my tours.
nice freindly hotel great position
all great except for our room very small , window opening on to facing a wall but roof terrace made up for it
Not very good
Desk clerk tried to help but it took 3 days to convince them our bathroom shower was flooding the floor. Then it took 2 more days to get it repaired. Room too small and no microwave made it not good. We did enjoy the neighborhood tho.
As compare to prices hotel was not not that high standard
Bed was not comfortable at all ... So I'll not Recommend ..but staff was very nice and coprative
Hotel stay
Really pleased with the hotel and staff, Breakfast was a good selection. Quiet location. Definitely on the cards next time we go to Istanbul.
One night in Istanbul
The room was very tiny but clean and had everything I needed. If I were staying longer I would probably get a larger room but for a short stay, it was perfect for the price. Location was perfect, walking distance to the Blue Mosque and Hagai Sophia. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel.
Hotel in the center of siltanahmet. Great location
Hotel and staff were great. Rooms were very clean and the breakfast was just like home. My experience would t be that mush without the advice of the staff about transportation. Hotel is close to everything. I would go there again whoever I go to Istanbul and I recommend it to everyone
Good
Rooms are small, however, overall a nice place to stay.
Very nice great breakfast
Close to many sites very helpful friendly arrange taxis provide water
Great staff, great hotel, great breakfast
Totally satisfied with every aspect of our stay, especially the neighborhood, the breakfast, and the staff... But the wifi was so unusable that I might have to look elsewhere the next time I stay in Istanbul. I'd be sad about it though, because the rooftop here might be one of my favorite places in Istanbul. Plus the rooms have A/C!
Great location, small rooms
Overall good experience. Clean, tidy small hotel. Very friendly staff. Location was good too. Rooms were a bit small was the only downside. Perfect for a short stay.
Great Location. Basic. Nice staff
If you're looking For a reasonably priced hotel n a great location, you can't beat the hotel
great location with atmosphere
Small but comfortable. Easy walking distance from the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and Grand Bizarre. It is not handicap friendly, but from what I can see few hotels in the district are. Would stay here again.
Nice stay, near all the interesting sites
Nice place, with very kind staff, breakfast was fine, it's very close of down town (blue mosque, ayasophia, topkapi palace...), but you have to walk up and down, for young kids or babies could be exhausting.
Good location. No elevators
Lots of steps to our 3 rd floor room. Accomadations staff. Good price for room. Safe location
Great location, helpful staff
Nothing beats eating a delicious breakfast on the roof of the hotel, provided every morning, with a view of the Blue Mosque. We were able to easily walk or metro all over the city- the Blue Mosque is a 5 minute walk away, and you can hop on the metro next to it. Very clean and comfortable, and the staff was helpful with suggestions and making reservations for us.
good
the hotel was good for the price. Don't expect that much. It's ok for just sleep.
Great experience!
Rooms were clean, location was great! The bed was a little too hard for my liking, but nonetheless, it did not take away from the experience. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace, with the Blue Mosque was a great way to start our morning in Istanbul! Everything was within walking distance. Everyone was very friendly; highly recommended.
Location Location Location
2nd stay within 6 months. The staff meets all your needs and the rooms are comfortable. Food is traditional. within walking distance to many of the main attractions.
Nice place to visit
Was just perfect holiday need more modern design and development
Overall good...but some cons
This is a perfectly adequate hotel if your stopping for a short trip. The rooms are tiny, and I had to ask for a move, as the first one was pretty bad. The staff in general were friendly and helpful. The manager guy though...who sits at the computer at the side, is one of the most unfriendly, condescending mini-officials I have ever met. Also; I left my laptop to be locked in the safe...but on returning, it was sitting out on the front desk (twice!! even after commenting) The desk guys had also been through the bag, as they knew what type of laptop it was, and my age (from my passport...as I didn't tell them) As I say though. Most of the staff were great. This is a place to sleep only. If you want to chill at your hotel...this is not the place for you. For a base for a short trip...perfectly fine (I would rate it 2 star though)
Entered a foul smelling lobby. Lobby looks unkempt, no style, not clean. Room smells like a gallon of clorox was poured. Would not recommend nor stay there again. Untrained personnel.
Run away as fast as you can
I just do not know how this hotel can be rated ? there is nothing to rate. I will never believe the hotels photos and I will never believe the reviews any more. I have been traveling for more then 45 years , this is the worst hotel that I have ever been.
Good value
Convenient location for touristv area & restaurants.
Turkey "B"
WOW. This was a return trip for my Daughter (Oct 2012) and I. My wife's last time was 35 years ago and really did not want to go. Once we left IST for ADB she said that the Hotel was awesome from what she remembered accommodations of 35 years ago. The staff was very accommodating even with a 27 hour delay in arriving due to airline issues. The Hotel took very good care of all our needs. By western standards it is not a Holiday inn but as a tourist for the part of the City of IST it is all about location, location, location. They meet the needs. English was spoken well by all desk staff.
Comfy room
Quite comfortable and the room given was spacious. Came in early, my room was not ready so I was given an alternative nearby which turns out to be fine. Only flaw was that TV did not work so I had to survive on internet.
fab staff, lovely hotel and breakfast, great locat
Great hotel and wonderful staff
Conveniently located.
Hotel is good for the price. Rooms are small. There's no elevator - my room was on the 4th floor. The hotel is conveniently located. So many attractions at a walking distance.
Overall good
I was a bit frustrated when the power went off in the middle of a Skype conversation on my first night but over all the breakfast was great the room small but clean and comfortable and the location brilliant.
Very good
Dont expect 5 stars hotel is very good located with decent condition
Satisfactory stay. No complaints.
Staff were accommodating. They agreed to show me two rooms for me to make a choice. Room and bathroom was clean (room 40 at highest flr, can't remember now if 3rd or 4th flr). Bathroom was spacious enough and clean. Just that the bath cubicle was leaking at 1 corner.. Tea and some cakes were still available even till late. Would be good if some items in menu are changed - not the same things every day.
Great staff in a great part of the city.
The Sultan Inn experience we had was great. Aside from the small rooms, everything about our stay there was great. Incredible front desk help with anything, great location, and consistent good service everyday from the maids and other staff. We loved our time there and would definitely stay there again if the opportunity arose.
Sultan's Inn - Nice Experience
Easy to arrange details (like airport shuttle) with the staff via emails, they were very prompt and attentive. Very comfortable beds, AC worked great. Only complaint was the shower sprayer wouldn't stay in the wall mount. Also - front desk staff were pushing hard on selling tours through their local partners. Better pricing was always available without their help! Breakfast was wonderful on the rooftop dining area overlooking the water.
Good place for short stay
We only stayed one night, having arrived after midnight. It's a small hotel, and it was a little difficult to get in as the door was locked, but the staff were lovely and helpful. The room was fine, if basic, with a nice balcony. The bathroom was small but adequate. We were serenaded by party goers on the surrounding roof terraces, but the thunder and lightning storm shut them up fairly fast. The location is convenient to the Blue Mosque and other attractions.
Average hotel in great location
The location made it for us, otherwise the hotel was very average. Room was tiny and a bit cramped. But it was reasonable considering how expensive other hotels were. Hotel staff seemed keen to sell us expensive tours. On the upside, breakfast was tasty.
Value for many
Good location, not very good breakfast but room is worth the price.
Stay at Sultan's Inn
My stay started on a negative note when I was informed upon arrival that my room had work being done on and was unavailable. They unceremoniously walked me up the street to stay at another hotel for the night - this one was dark and claustrophobic and not a good start to my first turkey visit! I was moved to Sultan's Inn the next day, and the 3 days there were very comfortable and enjoyable.
istanbul hotel
This is a very basic two stars hotel ,no elevator, you can hear people walking and talking in the hallway. The breakfasts are just simply ordinary, only the location is near most attractions.I regret to stay in this hotel for six nights. No hot water supply for three mornings.
Great little hotel with sights nearby
Great hotel if you are coming to spend most of your time touring. Good service and friendly staff. Would recommend it to anyone.
excellent location
great location, close to major tourist attractions, cordial staff, very helpful, full breakfast, some problem getting hot water in the evenings. but I would stay there again.
Great Location
Fine hotel, great location, friendly staff, hot water a bit lacking, but otherwise fine place to stay in the historic district.
Great hotel for a coupple
nice location in the middle of main Istambul atractions :)
Good location for Sultanahmet
Excellent location, easy walking distance to all the Sultanahmet sights. Friendly, helpful staff. Brilliant breakfast with good range of cold (some hot food) with good options for veggies.
Clean friendly and best value
Upon arriving at the hotel we blacked out the room and immediately looked for bed bugs. I was super impressed, the place was completely clean and bug free. The mattresses (thought very firm) were excellent quality and cleanliness. The staff were very accomodating and friendly (they even packed us a snack as we left the hotel at 0500 the final day and didn't have access to breakfast). The hotel is in a good location (surrounded by other boutique hotels) but this was fantastic value for the price (31 Euro night). The breakfast had lot of variety and through the breakfast area was "closed" for the remainder of the day the staff fully allowed you to help yourself to a tea or any left overs in the evening. If the weather is good they have a really neat "crows nest" on the rooftop with an excellent view of the Blue Mosque. Hotel room sizes in eastern Europe are very small and this is no exception. There is a bed, a clean bathroom, a fridge and a small wardrobe area. It is compact but that is the norm there. Am recommending it to friends.
Great budget Hotel Close to many historic sites!
Had a great stay, room rate was very reasonable. Breakfast included, Hotel was close to many of the historic sites nearby. Walls were a little thin so I could hear everything my neighbor was doing but besides that great hotel!
Great location - great budget accommodation
Very pleased with our stay
Good Stay
The location of the hotel was good but you can definitely find hundreds of others in the same location as that place is just restuarants and hotels. Hotel was located in quite a steep downhill street so if you r there with heavy luggage it a no no. Also there are only stairs so only ok if travelling light or if the y give you room on the 1st floor but because number of rooms on each floor are so less so chances might be slim. No tea and coffee making facilities in the room which nowadays is the most common thing. On the bright side clean rooms, helpful staff and good breakfast apart from long brewed tea. Generally a good place but if I am there again I will seach for something else.
Great hotel for family.
Hotel is in an excellent location-walking distance to almost all attractions.
Exactly what we hoped for
We enjoyed our stay at the Sultan's Inn. My wife and I spent 6 days and 5 nights in Istanbul so we looked for a hotel that was within a short walking distance to the main sights. The Inn is about a 5-7 minute walk to the Obelisk and the Blue Mosque. Loads of restaurants to choose from and a Turkish Bath is just under 5 minutes away. The rooms are, as others describe, small in stature, but we weren't spending our vacation in them other to sleep. Big plus is the morning breakfast between 8-1030am that is served by some very kind ladies. They keep the coffee and hot water available all day and night so you can have an afternoon tea from the open air terrace on the roof. The views are as advertised, spectacular at night! Note that the hotel does offer a pickup from the airport which costs a little more each way than the travel agencies around town, but it was very handy to have set this up in advance, especially for first timers to IST like us. Definitely would stay here again.
Hotel very close to sights clean and comfortable. The rooftop was amazing to have breakfast on and a drink at night!! Excellent stay!! Will def stay here again
Perfect location
Able to walk to all sites. Everybody at the hotel was "soooo" helpful and nice!! Thank you! Adequate breakfast, room small but comfortable for 1 person, not sure for 2. Be aware that this hotel has no elevator, but it didn't bother me; teh Sultan Inn was recommended to me and I will recommended to others as well. Thank yoou for your great service!!!!
It is what it is
Staff was avalibel for any needs and directions. VERY close to main attraction. had advanced airport XFR aggranged (by hotel) and that was a real time saver.
Good hotel for the price
Good hotel for the price. Only problem could be no elevator in the hotel. Room size very small. Only good for sleeping but not for relaxing. Excellent location for sightseeing. It cost 20 euro to each person form airport to hotel.
Perfect Location, nice clean budget hotel
The hotel is small and the rooms are tiny, if you don't spend too much time in your room that is fine, otherwise the rooms are too small. Great central location, close to lots of attractions, nice and friendly staff and good internet service. The roof terrace has nice views for breakfast and evening tee. I recommend it if you are on a tight budget and consider the room mostly as a place to sleep.
overpriced, charged extra for kid, chattle is more expensive ,that taxi around the cornor, but OK in general
The bed was like a stone
