Transport wise but Ups & Downs

I always try and stay positive, but we awoke to an ant infestation with ants crawling on us. We stripped the beds to see where they were coming from and found urine coloured stains on mattresses. Manager would not work with Hotels.com to get our money back for next night we paid for and could never stay at. Please avoid until this property puts clients first. Waiting to see if Hotels.com will protect our interests. Will update if resolutions are made.

Perfect mid trip overnight stop driving from Florence to Naples. Self serve laundromat only 1 km away - clean clothes for the rest of our crazy road trip! Arrived late after desk closed, but clear instructions were left at the friendly tavern / coffee shop right next door (I think a business partner maybe?). Limited parking but we felt safe.

Staff are wonderful however this hotel is in the middle of no where, if you plan to stay here you will have to drive or you will have to take metro and bus to go to Rome the main tourism city, bus are rare in this area it is terrible !!! And stressful, I don’t recommend

Great Stay

I had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel was very nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It's a little far from Rome center, but there's a bus you can take right from the hotel parking lot that takes you to Tiburtina metro. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Star.

Io e mio marito ci siamo trovati molto bene, è molto comodo per fare una sosta di 1/2 notti per dormire se devi affrontare un viaggio lungo.. L'unico reclamo che facciamo è che la colazione è un pò scarsa secondo noi ci vorrebbe più scelta sia nel bere, sia nel cibo.. Per il resto veramente il top, accoglienza, pulizia della camere ecc.. Personale molto gentile e disponibile. È molto comodo perchè se si arriva dopo l'orario del chek-in ti mandano via sms tutte le istruzioni per poter accedere autonomamente con i codici all'hotel e alla tua camera.. Hotel Star

Do not be kidded by the write up on the hotel.com website. I booked a triple room so that I could have a kitchenette with a small fridge. There was no kitchen no fridge and not even a kettle. The indicate a king size and single bed. The king size was two singles pushed together which continually parted during the night. I ordered a steak in the restaurant that i would not have fed to my dog. Avoid like the plague.

Solid

We stayed in the third floor suite which was perfect for our family of 5. We didn't require the kitchen appliances but they would be nice to have in other circumstances. Staff were very courteous. Parking secure. Up the street seemed a little rough and tumble but nice enough. Wi-Fi only in the lobby. Attached restaurant had a nice outdoor seating area. The invites breakfast was healthy and had a seating area that was surprisingly elegant.

Booked the hotel for layover drive between amalfi coast and tuscany. just needed a clean place to spend the night and this fit the bill perfectly.

Short but very enjoyable

Just what we needed

Hotel Star is on the outskirts of Monterotondo, on a busy main road, Via Salaria, with a direct bus 30 mins into Rome Tiburtina station, which is a transport hub with bus, metro and train links to central Rome and other areas. Staff spoke English and were helpful and informative. There is a reasonably priced restaurant in the hotel with good food and service, and a bar and cafe adjacent. Breakfast was included and was an excellent continental buffet. Our room was clean and comfortable. We were visiting relatives further along Via Salaria and the only drawback was that there is no pavement between the hotel and the outskirts of town, which meant a 100 m or so walk along the edge of a very busy road. Needs a torch at night if walking!

All fine, except for no hot water. We were forced to have cold showers, quite disappointing.

Lovely little hotel

Superb hotel, about half an hour from central Rome, 50 Euros in a Private hire Mercedes, which the hotel will sort for you. Nice Bar next door. Lovely people, great staff.

Eccezionale!

Struttura facile da trovare su strada di forte passaggio. Accoglienza davvero cortese e professionale. Camera silenziosa,ampia e pulita. Parcheggio privato gratuito. Adiacente un locale con tabacchi a aperto h 24. Davvero eccezionale se avete la vostra auto. ASSOLUTAMENTE CONSIGLIATO!!!

I'm to be honest very satisfied about this hotel! The staff is very nice, drinks & food are also nice! The hotel was actually in the middle of nowhere, at first it was so stressful but after awhile I got used to it. I would not visit again though, because I wanted to be closer to the center of Rome! If you're by car this hotel is nice to go to!

Hotel decente per chi è munito di auto e si trova di passaggio.

Nous sommes très satisfait de notre semaine passée dans cet hôtel. Nous l’avons trouvé propre, bien situé avec les commodités alentour (restaurant de l’hôtel, café/tabac, parking gratuit, station service, autres restaurants à proximité et à environ 25 minutes en voiture du centre de Rome ou du Vatican). Personnel très accueillant et bienveillant. Mon conjoint est en fauteuil roulant et la chambre est bien adaptée. Je recommande.

Mi sono trovato benissimo, struttura comoda pulita con ristorante e bar h24 sotto, il personale cordiale e Carla fa un ottima colazione quindi un abbraccio ed a presto ragazzi

Abbiamo soggiornato in una quadrupla veramente comoda. Tutto ottimo, forse l'unica pecca le pareti da rinfrescare. Nel complesso va bene.

Personale gentile e disponibile, ma struttura non confortevole in termini di pulizia generale, cura dei dettagli (zero) ,arredo e gusto generale . Mi spiace.

Hotel comodo se si viaggia ma nulla di piu'. Camere pulite, da rivedere la colazione, un po' scarna.

Tutto sommato positivo, la struttura un po' trascurata ma non eccessivamente.

Sorpresa di Capodanno.

Ottima accoglienza. Così il comfort e la pulizia. Essendo il primo gennaio abbiamo avuto l'opportunità di far colazione più tardi. E' stata comunque ottima ed abbondante. Veramente soddisfatti. Ci torneremo.

Natale a Roma

Hotel più che sufficiente per la mia famiglia, peccato solo sia un po’ distante dal centro. Tuttavia il prezzo pagato è stato davvero ottimo.

Soggiorno di 3 notti in stanza singola

Ho soggiornato per 3 notti in una stanza singola. Camera ben curata, un po' piccola forse ma non mancava nulla. Il bagno era molto confortevole, ben riscaldato e con una grande doccia. Nonostante l'hotel sorga molto vicino alla Salaria, non si avverte alcun rumore durante la notte. La connessione wi-fi ha funzionato piuttosto bene, per effettuare il login bisogna chiedere alla reception di abilitare un account ad hoc. Ho sempre parcheggiato la mia auto senza alcun disagio. La colazione continentale non è male, va segnalato che mancano i cibi caldi. In compenso ho notato che in una cesta c'erano dei prodotti confezionati senza glutine (Schär). Il personale è sempre stato molto gentile.

un motel très confortable.

Un bon hotel pour faire étape près de Rome. Il ressemble à un motel très confortable. Seul le petit déjeuner est à regretter car aucun des produits offerts ne reflète le bon goût italien.

Cercavo un hotel appena fuori Roma ad un prezzo accessibile. Hotel star è il posto giusto. Camera ristrutturata da poco e silenziosa. La mia non era particolarmente grande però funzionale. Parcheggio gratuito. Colazione buona senza fronzoli. Ritornerei

letti che per una coppia si aprono al centro posizione dell hotel distante dal centro servizio discreto con colazione da lasciarti insoddisfatto almeno un croissant te lo potevano dare,insomma un solo aggettivo insufficiente.
