The location could not be better, in the center of Nancy. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Free coffee and a delicious dessert for you to take, are offered in the lobby. Room was clean and cozy. Did not like a subtle clang noise from the heating pipes, but it was not terrible. But what I did not like was that rooms are not sound proofed, so we could hear steps, voices and yes, in France, passionate "affection" from the neighbours in the room above us. That said, I would recommend the hotel and would stay there if I go back to Nancy. Oh and breakfast was good as well :) .

I had a great stay for 1 night. The staff was very pleasant, my room very quiet (rm 602) , and had a hot shower and good internet.

Convenient location close to train station. Clean room and comfortable bed. Bathroom is tight by American standard but clean and towels are plush. Most importantly the staff are friendly and helpful. It was a very comfortable stay for a tired traveler.

No parking.

Terrible place to park a large van that’s for sure but that’s partly my fault l suppose for staying so close to the centre.

The building and rooms are beautiful and vintage. Loved the decor, staff were really friendly, good central location. Tea and coffee making facilities, sparkling water dispenser , coffee machine and cake! in reception. Difficult to park outside to drop luggage off and I hadn't been advised about this and the temporary road closure and road works.

Two days In Nancy

Lovely staff, great room and good location

Stayed there 3 nights and ended up extending for another night. Staff are excellent—friendly and very helpful. Rooms (compared to N. America) are small but bed and bathrooms were clean. Elevator is tiny so we took the stairs most of the time when we didn’t have luggage. No AC but the nights were cool and we opened the windows (Don’t do this if you are sensitive to sound—you’ll hear the noise from outside). Very basic toilettries provided—all-in-one hand, body and hair soap in a dispenser, that’s it. So bring your own if you need lotion, conditioner etc. Complimentary coffee/tea available in rooms and in the lobby. The location is excellent if you want to be near the shops, train, bus and tram station. We felt safe during our stay.

Hotel is in the middle of everything and close to the train station. I loved the coffee provided in the small lobby of the hotel. The staff is very professional and go out of the way to please you. Disappointing

Hotel clean and nice staff but not hotel definitely not as nice as on the pictures. No lobby, just a tiny corridor opening on a small front desk. Cheap building and entrance, not corresponding at all to the pictures. Rooms are very small and noisy. Breakfast room is at the basement level with no window.

Not nice

Our stay in Nancy, France was great. The hotel is rated 3 stars, but is hardly 1 star. The lobby is shabby, the room was tiny, the bathroom floor not clean and the elevator very, very slow. Also no air conditioning.

Outstanding staff

An excellent young lady served buffet breakfast on 12/30 really good : she works hard & quick, full of smiles during so many clients asking this or that! She was off on my 2nd day visit 12/31 > hope could meet her again next time when visit Nancy !

Basic but comfortable stay

The hotel is centrally located, and close to many restaurants and shops. The hotel is always staffed, which is nice, and always has free water, tea, and coffee at the entrance which is nice. Breakfast is very basic, as was or room. Parking was hard to locate, and because the hotel entrance is on a tram line (with no cars allowed), parking and check in was a bit difficult. Maybe a map and cost of parking locations would be helpful if provided for guests prior to check in.

Decent room in central location

This hotel had a great central location, and right next to a tram stop. There were some cracks in the ceiling (possible mold?), and the room was not very big for 2 people. However the staff was very nice and accommodating.

Happyculture Nancy

Great hotel, right in the centre of town and being greeted with sweets and bottled water is my preferable way to check in.

Great Place

Coeur de City Hotel is a pleasant small hotel located within walking distance of most of the sites in Nancy. It is a short walk from the train station. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast was amazing.

Good location

The bed & pillows were comfortable. The room smelled like vanilla & cigarette (two smells I cannot stand). There was a cigarette butt on the floor under the heater. The room was so small that I tripped over my suitcase twice. The bathroom was a little creepy. But the worst part was the breakfast: the bread was very stale and so were the croissants. We are in France. This is not acceptable.

Close to where I needed to go.

Was attending a conference at the university. Good location for that.

Friendly personnel. European breakfast, free bottled water, muffins, café and tea at the lobby. Clean room, free wifi, cafe and tea in room. Overall very pleasant stay, I will prefer it next time at Nancy.

Clean hotel, inadequate staff.

The hotel itself was ok however the staff were very frustrating. No they only when we checked in get the key to a room someone's was already occupying (walked in on them) but when we checked out we were told we had a 400€ phone bill (which we hadn't used). Very annoying. Also the shower was extremely tiny.

Comfy, modest hotel in beautiful Nancy.

We chose this hotel for its location right in the heart of Nancy, as its name suggests. This was our first road trip in France with our two dogs, and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. The property is not exactly luxurious, but the room was clean and quiet. The only real drawback is that there is no hotel parking available, so we had to park on the street and be mindful of parking restrictions.

Excellent stay

Excellent stay. So convenient to public transportation and sightseeing. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

This was a very difficult experience.

It's very difficult to find, even with GPS. The hotel needs a much better sign. The one they have is tiny, dark, and squeezed between its neighbors on a busy street. The guest must find street parking or a car park (poorly signed inside) a few blocks away. I found it difficult to navigate inside the hotel with a suitcase and small dog because the room, hallways, lobby, and elevator are very, very small. Even with a nice request, you are told that there will be absolutely no help forthcoming from staff as you try to navigate double parking and unloading car on a busy tram street.

Central location

The hotel is convenient mostly for its central location, within the city centre 5 minutes from the station and Place Stanislas, and next to a stop of the number 1 tram line. The room was quite basic, but comfortable. The hotel offers free espresso and bottled water, which is a nice gesture. One drawback is the acoustics of the building: one can hear what's going on in the staircase, and in adjacent rooms.

Location Ok, not quiet inside.

Nicely located next to transportation (train, tram), parking close by. Double glazed windows remove outside noise, but older former apartment building suffers clumps and squeaks from other rooms above and hallway noise is porous at all times. Breakfast was surprisingly good.

We'd do it all again!

Absolutely fantastic! Wonderful, helpful staff. Very clean hotel, seems to have been remodeled not long ago. Short walk to the train station and maybe 10-minutes walk to Place Stanislas and Musee des Beaux Arts.

Value

Midtown Nancy within walking distance of Stanislas square, the central market, a shopping mall steps away. The room I had was on a square, but Nancy is so quiet at night that noise was no problem. Doubly paned French doors. Tiny bathroom but that is standard at this level of French hotel. Complete buffet breakfast for 9 euros in the basement cave.

.... but far from Good Value. Dirty and very noisy. Pay a bit more for a better hotel and get some sleep.

Good hotel but noisy rooms

Great hotel and fabulous location but rooms require some serious sound proofing. We stayed here for 3 nights and 2 of those were great. They had a family staying next door to ours during our last day and we could here absolutely everything from the room. Kids being kids were really noisy and at times it felt as if they were just in our room. I would recommend the hotel as long as you have no one living in the neighbouring room.

Picked hotel for proximity to station for 6am train. Requested 5am call which never came. We were warned that phone might not be working.The builders are still there and the corridors (2nd Floor) are dusty. Staff were friendly. Tram stop just outside.

Much better than I expected. The cover photo does not do this hotel justice, my room had a high ceiling, impecible wifi connectivity and all the conveniences of a much higher rated hotel, all for an excellent price.

Decent little hotel

Great to have parking just on the doorstep. Nancy is a charming little town and this hotel is in a great location although beware if using GPS as it has you going down one way streets.

Very handy location for station and city sights

Close to station and short walk from major sights. No air conditioning but staff managed to provide a fan which worked well. Staff not as comfortable with English but very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fine. Would use the hotel again.

Great value

Don't get it twisted, this isn't the greatest hotel in the world. The room was very small and the bed was mattresses on the floor, but for the price -- I loved it. The room was clean, the staff was friendly and the location was perfect. I absolutely would stay here again.

Good for a quick trip through town

Nice enough place, tho a bit high price for what it is. I've stayed in many small renovated hotels similar to this, and compared to them, I have to say the shower was very tiny and almost unusable for even a medium-sized person. Room had a slight odor. Breakfast was much better than expected. Only a small additional charge (8 Euro) to have the dog, which was a nice positive.

Good value but noisy

Great location in the middle of the city close to the tourist sites and shopping. Also very close, cheap parking (I paid 12 euro and some change for the 2 nights I stayed). The hotel is definitely a 3 star European hotel (equivalent of a 2-2.5 star American hotel). It is by no means luxurious but decent considering the price and location. The beds are hard and uncomfortable. The rooms have no soundproofing whatsoever- you can here EVERYTHING going on in the hotel from your room. I could here the guy in the next room blow his nose while I was in my bathroom, yuck. Also no minibar and all the cups are plastic (which I had expected). There is free wi-fi and free breakfast- I didn't eat the breakfast so I don't know how good it is. I would recommend this hotel to someone who is looking for a reasonable decent room for a good price. If I visit Nancy again I will most likely stay at a different hotel.

Neat and comfy feel to the hotel , staff helpful and very convenient to central Nancy town/railway station etc . No complaints really - it does what it says on the tin . Would recommend for weekend stay - good breakfast , internet connection etc . etc.

Really enjoyed our stay. Great location, handy to railway station, Stanislas square, and shops. Lovely glass of bubbly on arrival, and included breakfast was great.

The room itself is OK, very basic decor but all clean and had everything we needed, just lacking a little in type. The free breakfast was OK and the packed lunch was a very nice touch.

Good place to stay a night..

The hotel is average, but it is clean as well. There is a very nice restaurant next door with friendly staff. A trolley goes up and down the street until the wee hours, but is not too bad with double windows closed..

hotel was clean but tea and coffee facilities was very poor, not replaced everyday, had to ask for cups etc, breakfast was very poor especially on saturday and sunday. hotel price was very expensive for the facilities we got. the situation of the hotel was good. staff were helpful and friendly, overall we thought it was a 2star hotel at 4star prices

Conveniently located, reasonably priced hotel

This is a reasonably priced hotel situated in the centre of the city. Whilst the room wasn't huge, it was clean, light and airy, with a contemporay feel. The breakfast was basic, but perfectly adequate given the cost of the room (baguettes, yoghurt, emmental cheese, 2 types of cereal, jams, coffee and 2 types of juice...unfortunately no fresh fruit). The packed lunch included a bottle of water, sandwiches, and an apple. The reception staff were friendly and spoke excellent English. Saint Jean car park is just around the corner and not too expensive (€16 for 2 days). Would definitely stay here again when visiting this beautiful city.

Nancy hotel accommodation.

Staff were friendly and helpful but not all front-of-office were English-speaking. Room was nice and roomy though there was no room safe. Wi-fi worked perfectly. Breakfast was good in a pleasant room. A small lift was available for luggage. Location was good, only a few minutes walk from the main train station, as well as the historic area and main city attractions. Trams ran right outside the hotel, but soundproofing in windows handled this. We would certainly recommend your consideration!

Hotel was conveniently located near the railway station and bus lines, but in a quiet square. Staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was clean and welcoming. Breakfast was great and they also made me a packed-lunch at no extra charge, with sandwich, apple and a bottle of water. I thought the hotel was a good deal for what was provided and the location.

Das Gebäude ist schon sehr alt, versprüht französischen Esprit. In der Eingangshalle stehen kalte und warme Getränke bereit. Das Hotel liegt nur wenige Minuten vom Bahnhof entfernt. Frühstücksauswahl ist übersichtlich, aber ausreichend.

La photo de l’hôtel sur le site est trompeuse et pas du tout en rapport avec se qu’on trouve en arrivant. C’est un peu de l’arnaque.

Hotel tres accueillant et bien situé

L hotel est tres bien situé à proximite de la gare. On n'entend pas du tout le bruit de la rue. La decoeation est delicate, l accueil est tres agréable. Le personnel est disponible et souriant. Par contre, j'étais la chambre a cote de l'ascenseur et c'etait penible d'entendre la porte claquee jusque tard dans la nuit. Les cloisons entre les chambres sont un tout petit peu fines ( j'ai eu droit aux ebats de mes voisins). Enfin, j ai eu le plaisir le matin dès 6h30 de profiter des moultes allers retours de la personne à l'etage au dessus :le parquet grince énormément et j'ai trouvé son marathon particuilierement penible et long ( jusqu a 8h30). En résumé, je recommande l'hôtel pour emplacement, accueil, propreté impecable, respect de l'environnement, petit dejeuner et pour le personnel. Bemol pour le bruit entre les chambres, le parquet et l'ascenseur.
