It was my 3rd stay here and I can't wait to come back! The hotel is in a perfect location, the rooms are nicely designed and spacious, and above all- the hotel staff are so lovely!

Best customer service ever

My stay at Hotel Spadai was exceptional. The room was spacious, spotless, and comfortable. What truly sets the property apart, however, is the incredibly warm and attentive staff. They genuinely seem happy to take care of their guests. I will definitely return on my next trip.

Great place

I really enjoyed my stay here. The location is great - a minute from the Duomo and central area (so very easy reach without the noise of actually being there), then 5-10 minutes from most other things (David statue, Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, train station for day trip pick ups etc). The room itself was a good size, good condition with a comfy bed. Having a free mini fridge with water/coke etc stocked daily was a great bonus. The breakfast was brilliant - especially as it’s included within the price. There was so much range and good quality food available (fruit, cereal, bacon/eggs etc, cold meats/cheeses, cakes, pastries, yoghurts and more!) - I ate a lot each day! Overall staff are very welcoming and friendly, I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay!

Our room was beautiful! Bathroom perfectly appointed, mattress sooo comfy!! Buffet breakfast was AMAZING!! All of the staff so kind, polite and lovely! One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at… will definitely be back!!

Great location, staff and food options right in the hotel. Also, walking distance to many of Florence's attractions, shopping and dining. Will stay here on any return trip in the future.

Great Hotel

We loved our stay at Hotel Spadai. This was our first day in Italy and they made our stay feel special and memorable.

Best hotel in Florence!

Absolutely fantastic hotel… would not stay anywhere else! The hotel is right down the street from the Duomo & within walking distance to everything you need to see. The staff was amazing… from the front desk (Ambre & Noemi), to the bellman, to the bartender, to the cleaning crew, to the breakfast servers… everyone was extremely kind & helpful. They even planned a to-go breakfast for us when we took an early morning day trip to Pisa! The room was fantastic… very clean & comfy & refrigerator was re-stocked daily. Truly one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in around the US & the world! Love love love this place! 10/10

Friendly staff

This is my second stay at Spadia and it was great once again! Staff is helpful polite and friendly. Hotel is spotless and it’s a great location near the Duomo. Love our stay!

Perfect location, great staff, spacious and updated rooms. Comfortable bed, blackout curtain and well functioning AC means great sleep! Breakfast buffet was unexpectedly a pleasant suprise. All in all, can’t think of a better base to visit Firenze.

luxurious feel during our stay

Very good quality of renovation of the rooms in historical building. AC was very quite which is very rare in this kind of older buildings. Very quiet rooms. Everything works in the room and well thought.

Fabulous

Hotel is in the center of everything. The staff could not be more accommodating. The rooms are clean and a nice size. Have stayed there twice in the past three months and am recommending this hotel to everyone.

Had a bottle of wine and some local biscotti treats waiting for us upon arrival. Complimentary drink at the nice hotel bar as well. The location is amazing, it is walking distance from all the must-see sights in Florence. The room was very tidy. The breakfast at this place was wonderful with a great selection. Convenient location, nice room, great breakfast, great service

Fantastic location. Steps from the Duomo but sound proofed so you can’t hear a thing. The room was recently renovated and the bathroom immaculate with new fresh shower and fixtures. Incredible breakfast with pastries and cakes made on property. Attentive breakfast service. Very helpful staff.

Rented 3 rooms for family. I have traveled all over and this is one of the best! Clean, great location to everything Florence offers, staff, cocktail hour w apps, and breakfast- of all places in Italy something needs to be fantastic to hold me there and the food/service/atmosphere here did just that. Great place

This is the second time we stayed in this hotel while visiting Florence. So close to EVERYTHING! Clean, affordable. Just book it!

Excellent staff and prime location

A pleasant surprise. One of the best hotels we've ever stayed in and they're we're five of us in three rooms. The breakfast buffet was fantastic and even the happy hour with appetizers were exceptional definitely a five star rating

Best beds on our trip!

Great location! Free drinks in the fridge, restocked daily. Fresh sheets everyday. Good pillows! Very close to the dome. Lots of restaurants 2-5 min walk away.

Modern hotel, our suite was very clean and nice with daily service. What it was more convenient for us and our friends was the location, where you could walk to the Duomo, the Vechio Palace, the central market and the river so easily!!, shops and nice restaurants were on the same street of the hotel… I would definitely repeat this hotel if I come back to Florence!!

The Place to stay in Florence

Great hotel in a fabulous location. The Spadai is just steps away from the central tourist sights and also close to great restaurants. The hotel itself has a great breakfast and a great Happy Hour. Very clean and a grezt staff.

Had an amazing time staying here. Its literally steps from the Duomo. Staff were friendly and happy to answer any questions we had.

Service used to be better…

I’ve stayed at Hotel Spadai 5 times in the last 7 years…and while the location and the quality of the hotel is still primo…unfortunately I was disappointed in the service and feel it has slipped a bit. (Except for the bartenders in the lobby bar who were fabulous and friendly!) Upon check-in the ladies at the front desk were cold and unwelcoming to my friends and I, which is the exact opposite of my experiences in years past. While we didn’t have a lot of luggage no one offered to help us with it. When we checked out they asked if we wanted a taxi and were supposed to book us one, we waited until the agreed upon time and there was no taxi to be seen. We went back to ask the desk and the lady said there was no taxi for us which then in turn made us run down to a taxi line, (luggage in tow) and by the time we got one ourselves we ended up missing our pre-booked & paid transit. The hotel is nice, great location, comfortable, safe, & food is great…but unfortunately, I feel as though the service has slipped and needs some attention. I seldom leave reviews as I’m also in the hospitality industry owning a restaurant & cafe…but decided to leave this review so they can get their service back on track because the hotel really is a gem in Firenze & believe these are easy fixes.

Great place to stay. Very guest focused. Very centric located, walking distance to main attractions. All employees very very attentive and made our stay very enjoyable especially during breakfast time. Breakfast bar was out of the world! Amazing food and service.

A clean, friendly hotel near most major sites. The breakfast is excellent. Not five star luxury, but clean, friendly staff, central location and good price.

This hotel was awesome! Centrally located in Florence to all the great eateries, historical sites, shopping, the train station and more! The staff at the hotel was incredible and provided great insight to the area and strong recommendations to the various sites worth visiting. The breakfast at the hotel was extraordinary, the room service was tops and just overall an epic stay. I highly recommend the visit as you will not be disappointed!!!

A wonderful two night stay at Hotel Spadai

A wonderful two night stay at Hotel Spadai. Great location and easy to reach from the airport via the T2 tram. The room was comfortable and check in and out was quick and easy. The staff were friendly and helpful. You must try the numerous variations of Negroni mixed perfectly by Valentino. A true master of his craft.

Excellent service at the front desk with the great smile always willing to help --top shelf. Remarkable location with easy in and out by taxi walking to everywhere including some of the best restaurants in town. Superb value

Great location, overall a great experience!

My husband and I spent 2 weeks in Europe, and this was by far our favorite stay! To me, this felt like a luxury hotel. You get a lot of complimentary perks and services, which is fantastic. This included a voucher for a free glass of Prosecco or a coffee for each guest. And the cappuccino was amazing! They even had dairy free options. The rooms are beautiful, and the bed was very comfortable. We were able to easily order a room service breakfast by filling out the card in the room and hanging it on the door knob. You can select whatever you want, and it’s only $15 a person! It was delicious too. If we had more time, we would have checked out the spa, as it was probably amazing! When we checked out, our train didn’t leave for another 3 hours. The front desk staff had no problem at all holding our bags during this time. This was great, as it allowed us to enjoy a few more hours in Florence. When it was time for us to go, they called a cab for us to take us to the station, which was like $13-15. Very reasonable. When traveling in Europe, I definitely recommend just taking a taxi over scheduling an Uber as it’s typically cheaper because they use the meter. And they take both cash and credit cards. Overall, this hotel is fantastic, and we’ll be staying again!

The property is great! The staff at front desk seemed nice. The person who cleans rooms left cute notes and candy each night. That person did take our extra toilet paper after we specifically asked for extra because of stomach issues. It has small details that show its age after a few days you notice. The door to the shower leaked a ton of water onto floor because the rubber seal was a little worn. The last night the pipes from people washing above us started banging weirdly but stopped after their shower. The location is the best. Walk one block to dumo. The free items in mini fridge made it easier after walking all day. Very wonderful breakfast buffet.

Very good

We had an absolutely fantastic stay here! From start to finish we honestly couldn’t have asked for better. All the main places to visit were right on our doorstep, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the whole place was spotless, our room was absolutely beautiful and the jacuzzi bath was lovely after long days exploring. There was masses of choice for breakfast each day and the spa was so lovely and relaxing. We really can’t rate them high enough and should we visit Florence again we will not hesitate to to return here.

Nice area

It was our 2nd time at the Spadai, and can't wait to go back. Everything is just perfect, from the lovely rooms to the amazing breakfast, but the most important thing is the hospitality of the staff. Smiling, helpful, the all made us feel welcome.

Great location, wonderful room

The hotel was gorgeous, modern style, and so clean. The bathroom was luxurious. The bed was very comfortable to sleep in. Staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was amazing!! A huge buffet full of fresh fruits and baked goods, and a staff member took our coffee orders and brought out whatever we requested.

Absolutely brilliant for a family

Amazing, medium sized hotel right in the centre of the main action! Such friendly staff and one of the best breakfasts each morning that we've ever experienced in a hotel! We had a suite for our family of 4 and were delighted with the size of rooms and having x2 bathrooms. Worth the slightly higher price to stay in such a wonderful place and location.

Great location beautiful hotel

Loved this hotel

This is a gorgeous hotel. The room was lovely and we had a view of the Duomo from our room. There is even an observatory room you can reach from the 5th floor which gives a panoramic view of the city. The staff were extremely helpful, assisting us with local suggestions, airport transfers, even providing breakfast boxes for us because we were leaving before the buffet opened. Which was a shame because the breakfast buffet was extensive with a lot of delicious items. The only thing better was the location. It was just on the edge of the pedestrian only area so the taxi could drop us off right in front. This hotel is in the heart of all of the activity. Everything we wanted to were in short walking distance, shopping, the Central Market, the Duomo, Piazza della Signoria. I will absolutely stay at this hotel again when I return to Florence.
