Great place but the pool is not open to all guest.
Unfortunately, we didn’t check to see that the pool was available to guests without a reservation. Seems strange that they highlighted photos of the pool but you have to make a reservation and pay a fee to use the pool, for a limited time. The pool and hot tub are within the Spa. Breakfast, the lounge and bar areas are beautiful, warm and friendly. This place is not within walking distance of the town and taxi services are limited. The town is bustling with tourists and students and has a lovely evening atmosphere.
Nice quality property with friendly and helpful staff. Area is nicely wooded with a stream running along a walking path. We walked into old town and the cathedral 2.2 miles without issue. Food was good quality and reasonably priced!
Beautiful property, but….
Great service, beautiful hotel, amazing food and location. We stayed in room 412 which it was extremely hot. Our several complaints they brought us a fan for our last. It’s a shame that they couldn’t fix the room Temperature since it’s an Eco hotel and they only have heaters (no ac) We are still waiting for hotel to reach out to us to find a remedy (compensation) for our 3 Nights discomfort.
Location not the best, but otherwise a beautiful place with an excellent restaurant
Property is beautiful the scenery the staff and also the property owner go over board helping you in all your needs definitely will recommend and look forward coming back
Beautiful and confortable place.
It was a very pleasent experience. The hotel is located in a wooden area and is beautifully decorated with valuable furniture pieces that make a nice stay there.
Property surroundings stunning with beauty, history and unique. Key did not work until 3:30 PM. One nasty receptionist gave us a speech for arriving before 3 PM. I believe her name was Andrea. They gave us the worst room in the Hotel, with a view to the parking and entrance without privacy. Rooms and amenities not to the level of 5 star Chateau, More like a 4 star business Hotel.
Absolutely wonderful!!
It is One of the most delightful hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Rooms are beautiful, service is impeccable and food is divine!
Great & nice hotel
Lovely property with a beautiful surprise gardens
A treat. All facets of this establishment are class. Staff were brill8ant. Spa excellent. Will be back.
Mixed experience
I'm torn - It's a beautiful location, and incredible building, and the flowers and plant life everywhere is gorgeous. So many wonderful spaces to discover around the property. Things we liked - the breakfast (not many hot options but we were keeping it light in the AM!), the service at the "cafeteria" (casual bar) was great, there were nice wine and cocktail options, the room was pretty and clean. Santiago de Compostela is lovely and a 45 minute walk along the river or easy taxi or drive. Things we didn't like - the room was way too hot at night, they have some cooling system in their floors but it was not enough and we were pretty uncomfortable, could have used a fan for sure. The staff at reception were mixed - some were excellent, some were kind of clueless, at least one was kind of rude. It can be challenging to get taxis to and from Santiago. The hotel is almost overstuffed with antiques and knick-knacks, which seems charming but some of them were a little in poor taste/borderline offensive (very outdated racial representations). On the flip side, there is hardly any lounger seating in the grounds or by the pool, despite the size of the property. Several times we struggled to find places to lounge with our books. The pool is above ground and frankly, too cold to actually swim in. The spa pool is a much better temperature but it's indoors and the spa only opens at 11am, would have loved to go earlier. So overall I'd say hi on charm and atmosphere but lower on comfort!
The property is quiet and beautiful and the staff was extremely welcoming and helpful.
Wonderful place to stay. Away from the center of Santiago. Beautiful boutique hotel.
Few employees for this kind of hotel, very nice people but no efficient
Gorgeous property, super friendly staff, the nature around the grounds is stunning. It was a very comfortable stay. Would love to return. The hotel also smells really nice.
Very beautiful property, extremely friendly and helpful staff. The grounds around the property are very green and gorgeous. The hotel smells amazing. Spacious rooms.
I recommend it!
The service was incredible.
Relaxing, enjoyed the Spa.
Beautiful property. The staff has been wonderful. Loved the restaurant! Very good experience
Nice but overpriced.
Beautiful place but communication is poor and it’s a bit of wealthy rats on a sinking ship mentality. Significant distance from town. A lot of attitude from the staff, but the guy who runs the breakfast room is 5 stars. Also the other male was fantastic. Most of the female staff were openly displaying how much they hate their job. After being offered an opportunity for my wife and I to get spa treatments, we arrived and the staff said there was no availability. So much for reservations
Everything about this place is beautiful. And dinner was out of this world. The cafe was fantastic. The art and furnishings and building itself and the grounds were awesome. Was less enamored with their spa services though. Not bad. Just average. And was disappointed when we tried to stay an extra night and they said yes, but then called to double the room price. We left and headed to the coast instead.
Lovely decor, quiet rooms, good beds, excellent restaurant.
Es un hotel encantador en todos los sentidos! Las instalaciones, la comida y la actitud de todo el staff son de primera. Uno de los mejores hoteles en los que me he hospedado.
Excellent hotel on the outskirts of the city 25 mins from airport
We brought our dog Freddie (a small cocker as they have a weight/size limit) he was as welcomed as we were. Lovely staff and awesome food. All round a great experience
Beautiful property. Elegant and attentive service. Very well appointed.
Great place to visit Santiago
Quaint little hotel. Only problem was that the floor we had our room was not served by an elevator, so we had the hotel staff carry our luggage up and down one floor.
We had a great stay. Attentive and friendly staff, wonderful accommodations and great spa experience. A great place to unwind after walking El Camino
Stunning Hotel
This is a lovely quiet place to stay. The room and staff are excellent. The staff particularly so. The hotel is over 2 miles from the centre of Santiago but the taxi service is efficient. The only downside was booking into the spa as a hotel guest.
Very lovely place with large, comfortable rooms and an excellent dining room.
Excellent hotel, nice spa, delicious breakfast
Such beautiful property and amazing dining options. We really loved staying the hotel. To go to city center was a bit far but overall it was just amazing experience there.
End of Camino
Wonderful hotel
Beautiful premises and building. Amazing restaurant and staff. Spa was good too. Excellent way to end my Camino de Santiago trip!
Comfort. Atmosphere. Best of all were the staff who were very helpful and friendly.
A retreat from city living and tourist attractions. Highly recommend a stay at this resort! Everything was perfect! From breakfast to an evening cocktail and dinner at Filigree. Staff treated us like VIPs. If you want comfort and pampering, stay here!
Amazing stay
Great place with great service.
Fabulous!
Lovely hotel with great staff and facilities. The 90 minute pass to the hydrotherapy spa is a worthwhile expense too.
Great overall hotel! Great bear and bathroom.
Silent - food and staff were great!
Beautiful setting
Beautiful setting; I didn’t like that you have to pay extra to use the pool; but apparently that is common in Spain when the pool is part of a spa.
Fantastic. The spa was exceptional. The restaurant’s sampling of the regional fare was top knotch.
Building and decoration are amazing. Restaurant was really worth a visit!
This hotel does not cope well with foreigners.
Service was not up the Relais & Chateaux standard. We arrived during a rainstorm and we drove as close to reception as possible. We were not greeted with an umbrella or were we offered help with our bags. We received the complimentary bottle of wine that was described in our booking however no water was provided to the room, both nights. We asked at reception and it was provided. We reserved our breakfast slot, were seated, and watched as 3 other tables were served before us. We were not offered what others were as we cam to see when the food arrived. A good hotel might have taken the liberty of booking us a slot at the spa pool, telling us about the paths around the property, offered to make us a booking at a nearby restaurant, and so on. The lounge area smelled of the fireplace but upon closer inspection, the fireplace had not been cleaned since the winter and even with the cold spell during our stay, no fire was lit.
Beautiful place to stay Very cosy and charming Excellent service
Excellent hotel and spa
My wife and I returned to this hotel and spa after a previous one-week stay five years ago. We loved it then and we loved it again this trip. The location is convenient for the airport (c. 20 minutes taxi) and Santiago (c. 10 minutes taxi). All of the staff were friendly and professional, giving us good advice on places to go and ordering taxis etc. The room was quiet, clean and bed very comfortable. TV has only 2-3 English channels (news), so we used subscription services (Amazon/Netflix) on our tablets via the free wifi for entertainment. There is a fridge with drinks, but no tea/coffee making equipment. We did not miss this as the hotel bar is excellent, and the neighbouring communal sitting room with log fire very comfortable. There is a wide selection of food at breakfast. The restaurant is not cheap, but it is excellent quality. The bar is less expensive and serves a good range of snacks and light meals. I am not a 'spa person', but I love this one, with a great range treatments to experience: jacuzzi, various water pumps, contrast and essence showers, swimming pool, Turkish bath, sauna and ice room. The booking system avoids overcrowding and the staff did their best to accommodate our preferred schedules. The grounds provide quiet relaxation in the summer and short walks along the river. High quality and highly relaxing, we will definitely return again.
One of the finest hotels, friendliest staff and hides gems that I've ever experienced!
We had a spacious, comfortable room. The only disappointment was there were no available spa services. We stayed here after completing the Camino de Santiago and we were looking forward to a relaxing massage but that wasn’t possible. We stayed at another Relais & Chateaux property where we were able to book spa services on arrival,
Beautiful and relaxing property. Excellent staff. Highly recommend.
Lovely hotel in a quiet setting away from the hustle and bustle of Santiago de Compostela. Excellent service and food in the restaurant. No facilities nearby for any explorations on foot so if you want to eat elsewhere you are probably heading back to Santiago de Compostela.
Great hotel away from town centre
Very nice hotel, lovely room and terrific - best tortilla ever. Only criticism was we were kept waiting at the desk for about 10 before anyone appeared. But will forgive this as everything else was great. It will be even better when they finish the outside pool.
Relax & enjoy
Beautiful stay - relaxing & amenities at high level. Not central to city centre but we were happy for an overnight chill out. My wife took a face massage & was very happy with the process.
Relaxing
Very relaxing and quiet
Santiago the Compostela best hotel
We had a wonderful stay and even ate their both nights, great steaks.Excellent wheelchair accessible room
Lovely hotel. NIce restaurant. Calm and quiet. Friendly staff
Fantastic experience in any aspect
EXCELLENT!!!!!!
Wonderful location, beautifully decorated, charming staff
Didn’t want to leave!
What a find, highly recommend this property for the sheer bliss and relaxation, we enjoyed the courtyard cafe, the spa, brandy in the library.....and then to drift off to the sound of the nearby stream.....heaven!
Beautiful hotel. Lovely big room with very comfortable bed, very nice bathroom, view of the garden and the sound of the nearby river. Great breakfast with selection of local hams, sausages, cheeses, wonderful pastries, fresh juices, fruit and other delicacies. Big lounge room with huge fireplace and selection of reading materials. Good wifi everywhere. Small but well equipped fitness room. Very private location but Santiago de Compostela Cathedral is only 40 min walking distance (up the hill). There is a lovely walking path along the river. For those who don't walk there is a bus stop few minutes from the hotel. 10 min from hotel there is also big grocery store and some places to eat out, although much bigger selection of restaurants is in the city itself.
Everything was top-notch-service,food accommodations! Staff was outstanding-went out of their way to make our stay memorable!
Great Hotel with a Coupke Glitches
Great hotel with terrific service. Lovely garden. Very good restaurant. Excellent breakfast. Only complaints are the rather small wine pours by the glass, which they insisted on, even when questioned (bad form), the ridiculous contraption they used to open and dispense wine, which is constantly giving the waiters trouble (on one night, it took two to get it to work), and dribbles out the wine like a weak stream of urine. Also very poor WiFi, which the staff acknowledged when I mentioned. Other than those issues, it’s a terrific place to stay.
Fab fab fab!
This hotel is so fabulous and the food is great!
Wonderful, relaxing stay
This is a beautiful and thoughtfully decorated hotel. My Espanol is not great, but the reception staff were able to speak English and were warm and welcoming on arrival. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bed, pillows and duvet were amazing. The food and service in the restaurant was excellent. The watermelon gazpacho was one of the best things I have tasted in a long time. Breakfast was perfecto! I only wish we had stayed longer than 2 nights Muchas gracias
After finishing our Camino and staying in the lively center of Santiago de Compostela one night, we decided to jump in a taxi and come here for some much needed relaxation and rejuvenation. Best descision thus far. The hotel was simply lovely, the staff, kind and friendly; our massages were heavenly and the food was pure perfection. A++++
Excellence personniefide
I can not praise this hotel enough. The staff are outstanding, they could not be more helpful, courteous, polite, proactive and friendly if they tried any harder. The consierage on the front desk is a credit to the hotel , his attitude to professionalism goes beyond any standard. The rooms and views are amazing, along with the location of the hotel. Over all it goes beyond the 5 star rating.
Beautiful hotel and gardens just outside of the hustle and bustle of Santiago de C. The taxi ride to the center is 6 euros, so close, but not too close - its a peaceful haven, and a beautiful setting for a hotel. The hotel is just gorgeous with a lovely spa, lovely decor including antique furniture and original artwork. Our suite is really lovely and spacious and quiet with only the sound of the river running though... Its a Relais and Chateaux so naturally the food is superb. Highly recommeneded.
Comfortable stay
Great stay at end of walking the Camino. Comfortable room. Especially liked the water spa experience, though pricey, great for easing tired muscles.
It was a very nice place. Excellent service. Staff very friendly. We loved it although it was out of town. Breakfast was good. Cleanliness was good and rooms undated.
Just ok.
Overall, ok. The hotel restaurant is quite good. The sound of the creek is lovely at night. But, the decor is tired and kitschy. The Christmas music was loud, ever present and really bad. Not a Relais Chateau level property. We moved to the nearby Parador in Santiago and I would recommend that highly.
Beautiful hotel, charming staff, good food
Georgous hotel , peaceful and comfortable. Staff very helpful and charming. Food delicious. Did not go into spa as not included in the price but didn't need to. Great place for a worthy pilgrim to recoup!
Amazing
The hotel is amazing. The building and property is gorgeous. The food was delicious. The spa was relaxing. The staff and service was very attentive to our needs and requests and at the same time wonderful attitudes. Very positive, relaxing place
Good quality hotel within easy reach of Santiago
Excellent quality hotel with well trained staff. Food high quality in the main restaurant with reasonable prices for this type of hotel. Excellent breakfast which was constantly being refreshed.
Cozy
The place is adorable and cozy. The service was very good except for the last dinner at the restaurant. It was very busy and they did not have very much time for us
This is a beautiful and great service hotel
Great place to stay. Juan at from desk help us a lot with recomendations
Beautiful building, good food
Nice, comfortable, good food. Didn't use spa, too expensive.
Peaceful retreat from busy Santiago
This is a lovely hotel with a country house feel. Very well appointed bedrooms and a lovely lounge. Reception staff are very welcoming and helpful with lots of advice for visiting Santiago. (A special mention to Pilar who went out of her way to make sure we settled in). The dining room is nicely appointed & breakfast good though it did feel a little overrun on 2 mornings, dinner is served from 9.00pm, a little too late for us so we ate at the Café- a rather pleasant outside eating area with a limited but good quality menu & the same good service. rather strangely part of the outside area has white painted pallets as coffee tables- very out of keeping with the otherwise tasteful style of this hotel. One disappointment was discovering that the swimming pool shown on the website is in fact part of the spa and not accessible without paying for the thermal circuit. The hotel is set in lovely grounds with a stream running through though this, & the restaurant terrace, were at times taken over by booked events leaving very little outside space for hotel guests to relax in. All in all we had a pleasant 5 nights here and would stay here again
Absolutely fabulous!
Fabulous in every way! Cant recommend highly enough
Beautiful Chateau
Beautiful place. We walked in and out of Santiago to get our bearings. It was a good walk and there are taxis and buses too. We then drove into town the next day to do the cathedral roof. Breakfast was excellent. Dinner good. Friendly staff. Rooms and hallways kept dark due to climate control which is a good idea but found at night it was too hot in our room and could not cool the room down.
Oasis outside city center
Gorgeous, peaceful hotel in a refurbished factory outside city center (short 7euro taxi). Beautiful clean and quiet rooms (feel like new), lovely public space, and fabulous staff. Spa is reasonably priced with terrific personnel - try the water circuit for fun and definitely get a massage or facial. Especially if you have just walked the camino. Well priced dining and beverage options - no nickel and diming. Only other hotel in Santiago that rivals is the Parador in the city center, which is also lovely. If you want peace and quiet and a spa, choose this one. If you want to be in the midst of everything in a gorgeous historic building with staff that is not as attentive and food and bev that is a bit pricy, choose the Parador. You can't lose - I have stayed in both and they are both wonderful.
Nice hotel. Warmest staff. Nice hotel surroundings
Excellent hotel with nice people and located close to Santiago and other incredible places in Galicia. Hotel itself is an old construction very well remodelated with a very romantic environment. Very well recommended for a several days stay in Santiago.
Excellent hotel for relaxation and good food
We have a wonderful stay in a city full of history. Hotel facilities are first class. Nice ambience and a staff fully committed to look after the customer
Ahh
We had just finished a cruise on the Duoro River and this was just a great place to relax before heading home. Nice bistro and excellent dining room.
Amazing Stay
Fantastic, great, superb - are words that are coming to my head while thinking on how to rate the hotel. The hotel itself is amazingly beautiful and you can feel the love that was invested there to create such an amazing atmosphere. Room is super super comfortable - bed, linen, towels, smell - everything was incredible. Breakfast was very complete and very good as well. We also dined twice in the restaurant and it tasted amazing as well. Staff was extremely helpful and caring. I have had a chance to stay in several hotels already - I don't believe I ever had such a perfect stay as this one. Everything was just amazing.
Excellent hotel!
Excellent hotel and would highly recommend to anybody.
Tranquil country retreat
A charming country hotel with comfortable rooms, relaxing ambience and pleasant staff. Great relaxing area and small grounds with a stream for quiet walks. There is free parking, although spaces can fill during functions. Breakfast was so-so, and the wooden floors in our room seemed a bit dirty, but otherwise clean. We could hear footsteps on the wooden corridors, as well as doors closing.
Out of the Old City, but worth it!
If you are looking for a beautiful stay near Santiago de Compostela; this is it! The grounds are lovely, the rooms are enchanting, the staff is gracious. It felt like a fluke that I found this property; but I am glad I did. This property has a spa facility; yet we did not get a chance to use it--sadly. We were traveling through and had priority on seeing the old city. The staff that welcomed us was very friendly and helpful. The rooms that we had were, by European standards, HUGE! The bed and pillows were very comfortable, room was immaculate. The bathroom had a shower, bath tub, double sink and a strong hair dryer (always something I hope for). They offered free water and soda in the minibar in room. The breakfast was included and they had a nice variety of options, including the ability to order from the kitchen. I am hoping one day we will be able to return to Santiago de Compostela, stay at this hotel again, and use their spa facility. A+
Wonderful beautiful hotel with terrific staff .
We loved our 2-day stay at the hotel, Beautiful surroundings, great staff, service, food and terrific massages !
Great gardens and greenery in Galicia
Great location for a Galician getaway, really relaxing and only 13 minutes' drive to Santiago de Compostela. Huge garden area with a stream running through it though the property would benefit from an outdoor plunge pool for the hot Spanish summer. They have a large indoor spa pool, but it costs €28 for a day pass to use it, even for guests!!
Relax with luxure
This is a SLH outside Santiago , great SPA , if you want relax this is the place
Best place ever!
Wonderful place. Amazing staff. Wish I could have stayed forever. Everyone was delightful!
Quiet get away
A perfect get away with my husband; a quiet and beautiful locale where every need is cared for. Just a short cab ride into Santiago.
Beautiful Hotel
Stunning hotel with top-notch spa services. I recommend getting a gin and tonic in the bar--fantastic!

Great property, very private, great for quiet time
