GREAT STAY

Beautiful hotel. Had an issue with our shower door and they instantly upgraded us. I would 100% stay here again if I find myself in Pisa again. Very quiet part of town and close enough to walk to everything.

Location is perfect for sight seeing. Leaning tower is just ten minutes walk away. Most staff were friendly and welcolming. Room was quite basic and not at all fancy. At least they cleaned it well every morning. A limited range of food items for breakfast. Overall average.

Great hotel in a great location

Fantastic location for the city centre and all the famous sites. Parking on-site, bargain breakfast and lovely, helpful staff.

Great for a one night stop over. Garden was a great added bonus.

Location is excellent— just a five minute walk to Pisa’s most spectacular site. But beware the onsite parking; it is extremely tight, even for a small car.

Property was walking distance from Pisa San Rossore train station. Was also very close to the Tower and Piazza de Miracoles. Hotel staff was very nice and friendly and helped us out when my husband forgot his new sport coat in the closet. He called the hotel from the airport and they sent a taxi with the coat to meet us. Only downside is that the room was very small for the 4 of us.

I stayed at Hotel Soggiorno Athena for one night in preparation for my flight out of Pisa airport. The hotel is within easy walking distance to the leaning tower and most of downtown Pisa. The rooms are basic but clean and suited my needs for the night. The staff was helpful (thanks Alberto!).

Yes, it’ll do nicely

Nice and simple, and within ten minutes of the tower. Nice and friendly down to earth guys on the lobby. It’s not exceptionally fancy, but it’s comfy enough and clean with a standard continental breakfast. It was amusing to see a toilet in a cubicle with a shower and bidet all combined - not sure if that’s just an Italian thing or not! There was a bit of a drainy smell in the bathroom too. But overall absolutely fine. Very friendly guys in the lobby. Great for the price.

Nice room, nice location. But no AC during summer heat made the night quite unpleasant.

Need to improve cleaning. Uncomfortable bed. Excellent staff.

Mother's Day in Italy

About 8 10 minutes away from train Pisa Central station One block away from the Leaning Tower. 15 minutes bus ride to Viarregio Beach. Hotel staff very helpful friendly. Simple delicios ham & cheese croissants Juice or coffee. Rooms clean A/C No elevator so ask for ( Primo Piano) first floor when booking.

Ideal location for the tower

Very happy with the hotel and staff. The tower and local shops are within 5 minutes walking distance and the train station within 10/15 minutes. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly with nothing too much trouble. Would stay there again.

Good central location and fabulous staff

This is not a luxury hotel, but the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff more than make up for that. Rooms are clean and whilst some are small they have really high ceilings so feel quite spacious. Our bathroom was small but adequate for our stay (4 nights). We requested extra pillows and staff provided them for us. Bed was comfortable and housekeeping was daily. Air conditioner was a great bonus. No safe in the room so we kept valuables with us. We were on the 2nd floor, there isn't a lift but staff offered to help us with luggage. The two brothers who manned reception during our stay where really helpful and lovely. Breakfast was fine for me, l love salami and cheese, but they also had yoghurt, cereal, fruit and sweet croissants. Bar limited but fridge in every room so you can always purchase your own. Area felt really safe and was 5/10 minutes stroll from Leaning Tower and a further 5/10 minutes stroll to the train station. Train was cheap, on time, frequent, fast and clean. We travelled to Lucca twice. Hotel is centrally placed to explore the tourist area around the Leaning Tower, the river area and the main shopping and restaurant area in the centre.

Good hotel at a great location

Hotel Soggiorno Athena is located 100 meters from the bus stop to the airport and the central train station (20 minutes to the airport, 10 minutes to the central train station) and less than a 10-minute walk from the Square of Miracles, where The Leaning Tower of PIsa, The Cathedral, The Baptistry and most of the other major Pisa attractions are located. The location is amazing, and the hotel itself is quite nice for a 3-star property. The rooms are not big, but they are maybe 4 meters high, so you don't feel any lack of space. Bathroom cabins are quite small, but still comfortable - as everything else in the bathroom. There is free wifi (not great speed, though, as usually free wifis are), decent breakfast and a very friendly service. Cleanness is at a very high level.

we had a room on the third floor with no lift. that is something you should have noted. we had to carry our luggage ourselves. we are senior citizens

good location to Pisa attractions

Basic but comfortable hotel within easy walking distance to attractions, shops and restaurants etc. Hotel was ok for 3 night stay, buffet breakfast was fine and consisted of cold meats, salami and cheese, cereals, yoghurts, croissants, toast, rolls orange juice and lovely cappuccino. Helpful reception staff giving you info and city map. Transfer from airport an ideal 10 minutes in a taxi at 13 euro. Would definitely recommend taking a train which was only 20 mins and 17 euro return for 2 adults and a child to Lucca, a lovely walled town with quaint shops and restaurants a nice change from the busy area of Pisa!!

A very pleasant stay

I stayed for three nights in this very pleasant and comfortable hotel. The staff just could not be more charming and helpful. The hotel is very clean and I had a very good stay . Breakfast is simple but good and costs 5 euros. It is close to the Leaning Tower and some very good restaurants.

Moldy smells!

Hotel is small and very close to the Leaning Tower - our only real complaint was no elevator and no one to help with luggage plus the overwhelming smell of mold in the bathroom. They had two scent plug ins that were so strong - I had to unplug them. Otherwise, sheets were clean, room was clean, price was right. Breakfast was decent. Staff was very nice. I just have an allergic reaction to Mold and it really bothers me.

Great Location

This hotel is just a short walk from the Leaning Tower and Cathedral so a very good base for visiting Pisa. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the reception desk was always manned.

No elevator and bad wifi two things I did not like

AC for the win!

Affordable and friendly, this hotel is a 10 minute walk to the sights of Pisa. Definitely not fancy or up-to-date but, I would say that I was very impressed that there was air conditioning in the room- a welcome rarity in these parts. I would recommend it especially for summer travel- that AC is key!

better than the bigger hotels

Tidy, friendly hotel in good location. No parking generally available but staff let me use their spot. Only criticism was that the air conditioner seemed to automatically switch off every half an hour in the night but at last it worked effectively, which is rare for Italy! Breakfast is 5 Euros but did not try it. Room had the little details like refrigerator and washing line which is great great.

Location is pretty good, but wifi is pretty awful

I don't get how these other reviews state that the wifi here is good. We booked this hotel specifically because we needed to have a FaceTime meeting on one of the nights we stayed, but it was impossible. The signal in our room was nearly nonexistent (all three days we were there) and even when we went out on the small public terrace (where we also had to endure the smokers), the wifi signal would drop with regularity. Also, the shower doors were off of the tracks with no hope of being fixed, so it was like a human torture game trying to keep the floor from flooding. The room was acceptably clean, however, and it was a decent value for just a plain, boring room.

Nice and cheap hotel close to everything in Pisa

Pisa is a nice city, with a lot of history (Besides the leaning tower). This hotel is just a walking distance from everything. Large and comfortable rooms, excellent staff service, and even Parking included in such a complicated area.

convenient little hotel

Close to the Tower, Piazza, shopping and S.Rossore Sta. Even walkable from Centrale. Helpful folks at the front desk and a decent breakfast. Hotel itself is older with smallish rooms (and even smaller TVs!) but the bed was comfy and the WiFi worked. Overall a 3.5 and a good deal on a budget.

Great hotel, near the tower.

We stayed one night on a family trip to Tuscany; if we hadn't already booked another hotel in Florence, we would have stayed longer. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The price was awesome (we got a special 50% discount!). Room was perfect. Breakfast could have been better, but it is Italy... We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Pisa, which will probably be in April. So far, this was our favorite hotel in Italy. Hotels this price range can be hit or miss, and this was a hit.

Perfect for 1 night solo stay

Stayed a night here last week while having a few days away in Italy. Hotel was only a 10 euro taxi ride from the airport and was there 25min after my plane landed. The good thing is that you can check-in quite late compared to other hotels. Room had everything required for a solo traveler and was good for the price. Easy walking distance to leaning tower the next morning. Wifi was good and breakfast wasn't bad so would recommend!

A very good hotel

Nice hotel, about 15 min walk to the leaning tower

My room was great, and the air conditioning worked well. Which I really enjoy after carrying my suitcase up to the 3rd floor...no elevators. I'm healthy and lift weights, so it's all good. Just know that fact in case you can't deal with that. The service was good, the guy even helped me take my luggage to the bus stop when I was headed to the train station! :) The bathroom....well, I'm American, so the toilet and bidet IN the shower stall kind of weirded me out. No breakfast included, but they do offer homemade croissants you can have delivered from a nearby bakery, just put your order in the night before. I didn't order, but it's a nice option.

good hotel in downtown pisa

Choose the hotel for being downtown Pisa as well as "limited" free parking. This is only 3 places or so, so do not count on it. I would say that parking in the street is an option for a nominal fee. The family room was very large and comfortable. The hotel has its years, but still in good shape.

Close to tower

About 20 minutes walk to the leaning tower. But my room was on the main road side so noisy.

Small intimate hotel with very friendly staff

Really enjoyed our 2 night's stay. Small intimate hotel with great receptionist. Staff are so friendly & so willing to assist where possible ( e.g. Information on restaurants, bus timetables, airport check in etc) . Drinks/ snacks available all day. Hotel is very clean. Although old town centre is a 15 minute walk , the hotel is ideally located for the Leaning Tower . Public bus stop for Train Stn & Airport are 2 minute walk away. Lovely landscaped garden for sitting out . Although we were happy with breakfast( €5 per person) , some might consider it limited . I would recommend the Hotel if taking a short city break in Pisa.

Hotel carino e in questo periodo conveniente per una notte nella nostra camera si stava caldi all'inizio ma durante la notte spengono i riscaldamenti ma c'è il condizionatore 😅 il bagno non è tanto accogliente manca il bidet e non c'era ne la tenda e nemmeno il vetro alla doccia. Colazione un pochino scarsa e la stanza dove si mangiava era freddissima .

Trevligt hotell med gångavstånd till tornet och gamla stan. Att tänka på det finns ingen hiss på hotellet. Frukost för €5 per dag som innehöll bröd skinka, salami, juice m.m. rolig detalj var man beställde kaffe eller te till bordet. Stor fördel var att det fanns ramper för rullstolsburna och rummen på bottenvåningen var lätta att ta sig till med rullstol eller permobil.

Personnel agréable mais cet hôtel ne vaut pas 3 étoiles la chambre était certes propre mais très rudimentaire et la wifi pratiquement inexistante . La literie est très dure . Le point positif c’est qu’il n’est pas loin de la tour de pise .

Jeg oplevede dårlig rengøring og kravlende dyr i sengen. Fik et nyt værelse - men det larmer hele natten pga. overboen som spiller julesange midt om sommeren? Kan ikke anbefales.

Super freundliches Personal, sauberes Zimmer und Essen ist auch möglich im Hotel, allerdings ist alles in der Nähe zu Fuss erreichbar.

Séjour pise

Hôtel propre et très bien situé par rapport à la place dei miracoli. Parking très petit. Gros défaut c est une ancienne maison de maître et pas d isolation phonique donc très bruyant surtout côté route. Donc pas très reposant. C est dommage.

Ligger godt men alt for dyrt

Overordnet fint. Hoteller ligger godt og er tæt på seværdigheder. Det er dyrt iforhold til hvad man for med. Sengen og rummet var ret lille. Der er trapper op men ikke noget man ikke kan klare. Alt i pisa vi kunne finde var dyrt. Så vi var tilfredse med valgret.

N'y allez pas

Séjour horrible. En mettant la clim à 16 degrés on obtient péniblement 26.... La douche est sale et deborde dans la salle de bain. Obligé de mettre des serviettes pour faire un barrage !

Hébergement simple, mais complet. Lits confortables, salle de bain dans la chambre et climatisation.

Hôtel simple et efficace rien d exceptionnel mais pour une nuit ça suffit

Bagno piccolissimo, bidè inutilizzabile a causa della sua posizione e box doccia con apertura veramente ridotta, asciugacapelli con 1 minuti di autonomia, frigorifero con muffa sotto lo sportello e non funzionale. Il personale è stato cortese, nonostante non siano riusciti a rimediare un cuscino in tre giorni. Tutto sommato c'è il minimo indispensabile ma una tripla a 154 euro a notte è assolutamente esagerato.

Exc servicio a pesar del retraso nos esperaron. Muy agrdecidos por eso. Definitivamente volveria.

Très bon accueil, hôtel plein de charme, les chambres sont confortables, propre. Je recommande vivement cette hôtel.

Klein und einfach, aber in wenigen Minuten zu Fuss beim schiefen Turm - okay für einen Stopover mit Übernachtung. Auto musste an der Strasse parkiert werden.

Tout s'est bien passé, malgré un changement de dernière minute à notre arrivée, nous avons été déplacé dans un autre hôtel en ville. Alberto à la réception à été super disponible et serviable ! Hôtel très bien, bien situé et propre.

Pernottamento per lavoro

Colazione scarsa (poca scelta), brioches fresche ma del giorno precedente (la fornitura avviene la mattina dopo le 7.15, per cui chi fa colazione alle 7.00 per esigenze di lavoro non ha prodotto fresco); non vale i 5 euro che si pagano. Camera di dimensioni ridotte ma adeguate se da usare da single o in coppia; nella mia purtroppo cattivo odore, fastidioso e persistente nel bagno proveniente dallo scarico della doccia. Sicuramente non lo scegliero' piu' per altri soggiorni a Pisa per lavoro.

Sehr Altmodisch, Möbel teilweiße kaputt und in einem nicht brauchbaren Zustand. Auf Sauberkeit oder Privatsphäre wird nicht wirklich geachtet.

Posizione perfetta, personale molto gentile e struttura accogliente! Perfetto per una sosta. Noi siamo stati un giorno in 5 camera gigante!

Leuke hotel, personeel was hulpzaam en aardig. In loop afstand naar pisa toren. Prijs was ok.

Gentilezza e pulizia soprattutto

Dovendo per la prima volta soggiornare in Pisa abbiamo scelto questo hotel per l'offerta economicamente vantaggiosa e per la vicinanza alla Piazza dei Miracoli. Ce ne sono di più vicini ancora ma qui vi è possibilità di parcheggio interno ed è agevole raggiungerlo appena entrati in città. Gentilissimo il personale e assai grazioso l'ingresso con due neoclassiche colonne e davvero soddisfacente la pulizia. Camera ampia ma con vista su un cortile interno un po ingombro anche di cassonetti. La solita doccia un po' difettosa e l'abatjour con lampadina bruciata che il personale prende in carico ma non sa riparare..Non perfetto il wi fi. In compenso davvero soddisfacente la pulizia, frugale la colazione, non inclusa nel vantaggioso prezzo: non era scritto chiaro nell' annuncio ma siamo stati accontentati da uno sconto sostanzioso. Consigliato.

Per motivi personali abbiamo dovuto lasciare la struttura un gg prima, ma lo staff è stato davvero cordiale e ci è venuto incontro al massimo che potevano.
