All was good, really friendly staff, super clean place, just a little bit noisy as it is Downtown.

My stay here was wonderful! The staff was so helpful. It’s located about 2 blocks from the beach. They have a night guard all night so I felt very safe coming back late. My only issue was that I was not charged when I booked. The receptionist explained that Expedia customers have to pay upon arrival. I booked months ago so I’d forgotten. When I go to pay, their exchange rate is $15 pesos when the exchange rate was going for $20 pesos. I will be prepared next time. Other than that, wonderful experience and would definitely return!

Lovely place, really great value - best of both, you’re right in the town so can enjoy the shops and cheaper restaurants but the option to spend the whole day at the beach club after your (excellent!) breakfast, and the beach club is right at the most beautiful part of the island. We loved it! Only slight improvement would be bedside lights in the room or a slightly less harsh overhead light as it made the concrete feel a bit prison like at times. Thanks hotel siesta for an amazing stay - we hope to come back one day!

Loved our stay here at Hotel Siesta! Room was comfortable, clean, and spacious. Location of hotel is great, walkable to so many food and bars. It is quite a walk from the beach, but they have the option of the hotel taxi taking you to have breakfast at La Hamacas and you can stay at the beach then!

Great property location close to the town centre but a nice quiet nights sleep. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a shuttle ride away we had one issue waiting a while for shuttle to get back. Room was clean, however there were a few ants in the bathroom.

Super clean room.. wonderful staff. So close to all the fantastic restaurants and of course, to the beach.

Siesta is a great choice for your Holbox vacation

Amazing 6 Night trip staying at the Siesta. The entire staff was very friendly and a Special shout-out to Victoria for her great restaurant recommendations. The rooms were beautiful and we had no issues with Hot Water like some properties on the island and the wifi worked well too. This was our second visit to Holbox and we were torn between staying in the town or on the beach and the Siesta delivered the best of both worlds! They include breakfast at a beautiful beach club that they drive you to each day. And this is not a breakfast buffet, they actually include a gourmet breakfast that you order off of the menu. The Siesta also provides beach towels and a beach bag. There is an area where you can spend the day at the beach after breakfast and they will send a taxi to bring you back to the hotel up until 5pm. The hotel definitely offers a great value and we will definitely be back!

Amazing staff, Incredibly convenient location! You are two blocks away from the center’s Main Street and from the beach. The hotel also offers breakfast and a place by the beach where you can enjoy the views and relax. Two thumbs up!

The property is in great conditions. There are small details here and there that make you feel at home. But a special mention to the staff. Love Hotel Siesta! AMAZING STAFF

I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Siesta Holbox. It is conveniently located two blocks away from El Centro, two blocks away from the beach, and two blocks away from Hot Corner (the central party spot of the island). It's next to everything, and the staff is superb! Martha, Jhoana, and Nelly were amazingly accommodating to everything and anything I needed. You will be paying for your stay upon check-in. Call your credit card company before traveling so they don't block your card. Cash rules! Carry plenty of it. Upon arrival, you'll receive a cold water bottle and a towel to wipe the travel journey off your forehead. You'll also get a bracelet for breakfast (included) at the restaurant Las Hamacas, located at the Villa Caracol Hotel, and you will have access to areas of that hotel. Ask for the shuttle to Las Hamacas 15mins before. That's how long it takes for one of the guys to drive over to get you. You will get a beach bag for your stay and a card for a beach towel which you can exchange for a clean one. There are bikes on the premises. I did not rent one, so I don't know the rental fee. The room is big and beautifully decorated. The bed is heavenly and comfortable. Your room will be cleaned daily, tip. There is a Smart TV. The lighting is low, so consider packing a ring light as I did. Ask them to wash your clothes before your departure. The fee varies depending on your load. It's worth it! Download WhatsApp because all your communication will be through there.

This hotel is a jewel, super clean, good AC, super comfy beds, nice, well decorated, the 2 receptionist are super sweet and caring!

The property was perfect for our needs. Simple, very clean, the staff was all very friendly and helpful. I was celebrating my birthday and they included very sweet and kind little details. It has everything close by and the service back and forth to the beach was very appreciated. Will definitely be coming back in December or January. The restaurant that is next door is the breakfast that is included and it was amazing. Very impressive. The staff was very kind and helpful. They all took their job seriously with a high level of professionalism and it showed!

We loved the Hotel Siesta Holbox so much we wished we could extend our stay! Very short ride from the ferry port that will cost you 100MXN and only two blocks away from the beach. The front desk staff was super professional and friendly and made us feel very welcomed. You get a welcome drink at the restaurant where you also get free delicious breakfast. We didn't get to enjoy the beach club amenities because we only stayed for one night. The room was clean and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We had some troubles with the safe but staff helped us out quickly. Will definitely be staying here the next time we are in Holbox!

Perfect Stay in town

Hotel Siesta is the perfect spot if you want to stay near the town center and not at a resort. It is close to everything on Holbox. This is my second trip to Holbox and we will stay at Siesta again. The staff is great. The rooms are clean, air conditioned and the hotel is so convenient.

What I loved about this property was the staff. They were incredibly attentive, professional, genuine, and each and every one of them was lovely to interact with. They made the whole experience so memorable and fantastic. What was unique was the pairing with their sister hotel Villas Caracol. Having their delicious breakfast included at this luxury location on the beach made our vacation! I couldn't believe all the varieties offered for breakfast, the large portions, the restaurant itself, incredible.

Overpriced hotel with security and plumbing issues

Cons: -gap between floor and door large enough for insects and scorpions to get through. Yes, we saw a scorpion in the outdoor lobby area. -extremely lightweight door usually used for interior of homes used as outside door. Doorknob was Loose (to the extent that if you pulled hard it would come off). Easy for someone to kick down the door if they wanted to get in. -no night-time security and doors open to the Main Street. Heard people knock on our doors at 4am twice out of our 3 night stay. Also saw a man standing right outside our window at night. This was very scary for us. -breakfast is a 30 min walk. They do not have transportation available despite what they say on website. -inconsistent hot water. -water had a sewage like odor -Our toilet leaked and the bathroom sink was clogged for our entire stay. We reported it and it was not addressed. Nor did they agree to offer a discount due to the level of disgusting and inconvenience. -they refused to provide extra towels. We needed extra towels to sop up the leaking toilet water. That was denied. -they were extremely cheap with toiletries. Only given once per stay even if you pay extra for a third person in your room. Asked for extra and they said we would have to buy them. Pros: -location a few blocks from beach -breakfast was decent TLDR: this hotel is super overpriced for what you get. If you are paying $100-130 per night find a beach resort to avoid these inconveniences.

Very clean and charming hotel just 1 block from the central plaza with all the shops and restaurants. The staff was super helpful in helping coordinate transportation and provided recommendations for activities. An overall excellent experience.

What terrible customer service. We tried to cancel with Expedia before our stay because a hurricane changed our plans. We were unable to cancel with Expedia, communicated this with the hotel. The hotel still charged us, Expedia did not, and the hotel would not refund us. They said to ask Expedia, although Expedia did not collect any money from us. Make sure you are careful before booking with them.

The hotel and the two ladies working there were exactly what we needed for our weekend stay here. I typically don’t stay in the room very long on vacation, and this stay was no different. Clean, air that works and a helpful face at reception if anything goes wrong. The only thing I would mention is that breakfast is either a long wait for the taxi that holds 2-3 people or a long walk, so just something to be aware of. Great, easy stay though.

Great small hotel!

This is a small but cute hotel. You get free breakfast at a beach club. The breakfast was delicious! There is transportation available; however, if the streets are flooded you need to walk which is about 20 minutes away. During my stay, the streets were flooded due to heavy rain prior to my arrival. The hotel provides beach towels, good wifi, good air conditioning and is very close to the center and beach. It’s not noisy so you get a good night sleep. They provide aloe vera for your sunburns which is a total plus!!! Their room cleaning service was great too. Overall, I would recommend this hotel in paradise!

Nice and clean

Hotel is really neat and clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. Weather was not in our favor during our stay, but turned out to be pleasant.

The staff was very friendly, Valentina helped us at check in and during our stay she was extremely helpful, also the girl that was in the morning but forgot her name, sorry! thank you both for being so nice to me and my family!! When you get to the port the only transportation is a taxi which is about $50 pesos for 2 passengers (they don’t take more than 2). You can rent a golf cart but is expensive. The hotel is not by the beach but is walking distance from it (2 blocks down) it’s very clean and convenient. Restaurant La Barracuda was excellent!!! Food and service a 10 and they take credit cards, we truly recommend it!! Love this island!!

Vanessa and the team at Siesta were amazing! So sweet and helpful you honestly felt as those you were dealing with old friends. Also, the complimentary breakfast at their beach side sister hotel was the cherry on top! So glad we chose to stay here. We definitely will be back!

Wonderful hotel in the center. Easy walking distance from restaurants and shops. Staff is very friendly and attentive. I’m the morning you get drive to a delicious ocean-side breakfast and have access to a beach club for the day.

Everyone was very helpful, helped book tours and transfer to/from the airport. The breakfast was very good, having a ride to/from the beach everyday made it hassle free. They left us treats in our room, set the air conditioning to make it nice & cool. Location in town is great and sister hotel at the beach gives you the best of both worlds.

What I loved about this property was really everything! The location, the service, everyone was really kind especially Valentina and a columbian girl. The breakfast is excellent and the room was very clean and the decoration was beautiful!

We spent 3 nights in this hotel. We were celebrating our 10th anniversary and we told them. They gave us a bottle of sparkling wine. Nice people. Restaurant at the hotel was great (we had breakfast included). They help you with the tours and reservations as needed. Two blocs away from the Plaza Central. Town very walkable. The hotel has a beach club and that was very appreciated because it can be super hot during the day.

The breakfast included is a plus in this property since is delicious .. the place is too small but very comfortable and clean.. it is located one block away from the chore so you won’t see the beach from the hotel, but they”ll give you access to one of the beach clubs in the island

The hotel has a great location, 1 block away from the town square and 2 blocks away from the beach. The AC and fan in the room are perfect. The room is completely dark at night if you put the blinds on. The building and rooms are always clean and the interior design is very nice. Breakfast is served at the bar, at the side of the street, we loved it. You get to pick from their regular menu and the food is very good. Would stay here again, no doubt.

Great hotel, but beware of details in description

This hotel is delightful, the people are lovely and the service impeccable. Delicious breakfast, wide choice. However, the description of the facilities on this site is misleading: there is no garden, and none of the rooms has a balcony or a patio. It is not 1 min from the beach. Those were my criteria of choice, and I was bitterly disappointed when I turned up. Plus the room we had the first night was far from the 27 m2 advertised. I did complain to the staff and they said they had no idea that this appeared on their property profile. They could not do anything about the fact that I had booked a room that doesn't exist, in a place that has been wrongly described. We were kindly offered a slightly bigger room for the following 2 nights of our stay. Again, this hotel is great, if this is what you are looking for. It did not spoil our stay in Holbox, but it wasn't at all the kind of experience I was looking for.

We loved Hotel Siesta Holbox! It is in a great location in the town-- super easy to walk to all the restaurants. The hotel includes access to a great beach club. We walked (about 20 min) but they also offer a free shuttle taxi service to the beach club. The hotel also provides you with beach towels. Breakfast was included and delicious. Everyone who works here was very friendly. Loved the hotel and Holbox!!!

Lovely hotel with lovely staff. Nice room with good breakfast. The location is in the town but you can take a cab to the Beachclub (20 min to walk) and there is 2 min to the nearest beach. The beach are amazing we will be back.

Perfect hotel for the laid-back travelers

Each and every employee here deserves a standing ovation. They are super kind, considerate, and fun. The hotel is an excellent location for the thinner wallets. 2 minutes from the beach and 1 block from the center of action It is an island, so don’t count on reliable WiFi. And as other have mentioned, it can be a bit noisy. But as a New Yorker, I much prefer the hotel’s “noise” of music and people having a good time than I do of honking horns and slammed doors. Stay here so long as you dont need more than the basic amenities of a nice bed and friendly people. Relax and enjoy your time in Holbox.

Very cute hotel, great location and friendly staff, the only problem is that we had small ants in the room..

When we arrived at the hotel the staff was very riendly. They explained us about the hotel and they said that they even have a private beach and we can order from them a car for free to take us there. At the end they gave us water and a voucher fo free drinks at their bar for the evening.

Half the price of beachfront 2 blocks from beach

This small hotel is located in the central part of the island. The service from check in to check out was top notch. Room was a good size, clean,area was safe,the A/C blew cold. Hotel is located about seven blocks from the pier, it is is an easy walk unless it has rained as the unpaved streets turn to mud. 1 1/2 blocks to the main square & two blocks to the beach. Golf cart taxis are only $40 pesos to much of the island so that is a good option if you do not like to walk. Their sister hotel offer beach club access with free transportation which is a nice option as it is a good 30 minute walk. Breakfast was very good, you order off the menu & is included in the room price. Nice little bar but it closes from 12-5 pm. Very good value for your money.

Im so glad we booked this hotel. The staff is amazing and their services are great. The hotel is located near downtown is cute and very clean. The restaurant Papalote have a mean guacamole and their drinks were just as good we had complimentary drinks but we kept ordering more and more. The front desk will call a “taxi” at a no cost to take you to Las Hamacas their beach club and they have amazing octopus tacos and their beach is amazing. You can book all the tours that Holbox has to offer through them too. We didn’t know that and we had already booked our whale shark tour with another company. Pía the front desk clerk was so nice that left some lunchboxes for us to enjoy before our very early tour.

An under-advertised feature of this hotel is its affiliation with on earth of the beach clubs. Guests at Siesta can use the loungers on the beach in front of Las hamacas. There was a welcome drink and a much needed cold face towel on arrival.

A+ stay.

The hotel was a nice comfortable stay just a block off the main road in town. Rooms were clean and reception was nice. It came with a free drink for happy hour and a free breakfast which was good. The AC and shower worked well and the rooms were quiet and clean. As a solo, female traveler, I was comfortable with my surroundings.

Great little hotel, perfect location and nice restaurant. Reciprocity with sister hotel/beach front / beach club was also nice Free transport around town was added benefit, but bikes were our means of transport

Good Location, Comfy Room and Bed

Perfect location in the main town and the hotel drives you to the beach each day (until 5:30 pm) in a golf cart. Their sister resort (Villa Caracol) is very nice - we didn't get chairs actually on the beach (they were all taken by at least 1 pm each day), but they were so close it didn't matter. They had plenty of shade and hammocks with drink/food service that accepted credit cards. Hotel Siesta had a good breakfast with tons of fruit and fresh juice each morning until noon. They also had a lively evening scene with good music and open air dining/drinking. All the staff was very warm and friendly. Room was a nice size with a huge, comfortable bed. Would definitely stay here again.

Room 7 is Not Your Lucky Number

Stayed one night is Room 7 which is the only room on the street and on the second floor above and next to the bar/restaurant. The bar plays loud music (if you can call it music) and it is audible in the room. At 10:00 I complained and they reduced the volume and said the music is off at 11:00. Unfortunately, the loud conversations did not end and could be heard at the same time even with the air conditioning fan running to try to drown out the noise. I didn't realize it at the time but the the voices were hiding the barking dogs across the street. There are two small dogs in the yard across the street and other dogs roaming the streets. Most have collars so their owners let them run free. The loose dogs like to torment the small dogs in the yard and they succeed. The dogs barked all night. I was finally able to fall asleep by using a pillow to cover my head and ears but my wife and I had a miserable night. When we checked in ther were other vacant rooms but for some reason they put us in Room 7 - probably because we were only staying one night.

Clean, quiet rooms. maybe not quite worth the price given the other options at the same price point. everyone was nice though and breakfast was alright. 'beach club' was a bit disappointing. certainly not comparable to most of the others on the beach.

Lovely boutique hotel

We stayed 7 nights at Hotel Siesta Holbox. We enjoyed the location because it is very near the town square, but still relatively quiet. The walk to the beach is only 2 blocks. The staff was absolutely wonderful, very helpful with local knowledge and excellent English. The nightly rate includes a really nice breakfast each morning. The beach club (also included in the nightly rate) is terrific too. Very well equipped with lots of lounging options, and plenty of staff to attend to your every need. I highly recommend the hotel. One clarification though, there is no pool. One of the reviewers talked about a pool, but the hotel does not have a pool.

The room was ok, nothing fancy. However, you will hear every noise from the street or the bar downstairs even with the windows closed.

Lasting memories

We had a lovely stay here. The staff were lovely and always on hand for questions etc. The use of the beach club is great and the food there is super tasty. It's a nice walk to there but they will drop you off if you need it. Our room was quaint, very clean and the bed was comfy ......the only downside was we were on the Main Street (room 7 ) and it was noisy but despite that small thing we would recommend this Hotel 100%.... The island itself is quite bohemian but not without abit of class too . Good restaurants if you need them or street food for those on a budget . The beaches are amazing ......low waters you can walk for miles in.....we will be back ..Thank you Ok a small note , very few cash points so bring some !!

The best

The place was great ! Best price ! Best location, but the stuff made everything a million times better. The manager there made us feel like family, took care of us and everything we needed, made sure we know where the best restaurant, what is the best activiy, and just make us feel important.

The favorite!

One of our absolute favorite places on our trip. The staff is super friendly and there is no lack of relaxing areas. 2pools and a tub in the super nice courtyard and a pool and two tubs on the roof with a bar. Big comfy Towles were given at the reception for use poolside. Really nice breakfast with fresh fruit and many choices from an omelet to yogurt and granola. Did I mention the bosa nova guitar tunes from a friendly guitarist? Rooms were clean and bed super comfy with a big shower.

Wundervolles Hotel. Schon bei Ankunft wird man herzlich begrüßt. Die Damen an der Rezeption sind super nett und hilfsbereit. Man bekommt eine Strandtasche mit zwei Handtücher, die man so oft tauschen kann wie man möchte. Zudem ist das Frühstück im Las Hamacas super lecker und der Transport der ebenfalls inklusive ist, echt Gold wert. Die Betten sind super bequem. Der Wasserdruck Mega und das Zimmer ist echt gut Schallisoliert - das erste Hotel in Mexiko, das nicht super laut war. Also alles in allem wirklich Mega ! Zusätzlich ist man über WhatsApp mit der Rezeption connected und kann immer schreiben, wenn etwas sein sollte, Tours buchen oder kurzfristig wetterbedingt stornieren. Ein Mega Service ! Das Hotel hat definitiv mehr als 3 Sterne verdient und ist besser als manche 4 Sterne Hotels in denen wir in Mexiko waren! Die Lage ist ebenfalls genial - sehr zentral und trotzdem ruhig

Problemloser Transfer zum sehr guten Frühstück im Schwesterhotel am Strand, dessen Beachbar Las Hamancas liegt am schönsten Strandabschnitt. Sehr freundliches Personal auch dort. Alles sehr entspannt. Zimmer sind sehr sauber.

La estancia en el hotel fue excepcional. Desde la hospitalidad del personal hasta la ubicación muy céntrica. El incluir el transporte al club de playa las Hamacas hace una gran diferencia, todo contribuyó a una experiencia maravillosa. Las instalaciones eran impecables, la comida deliciosa y la atención al detalle hizo que cada momento fuera memorable. Sin duda, recomendaría este hotel a cualquier persona que busque una escapada relajante y llena de encanto en la hermosa isla de Holbox.

Excelente propiedad, muy cómoda pero sobre todo muy bien ubicada! A unos pasos de todo prácticamente!! Muy amables las chicas de la recepción! Te solucionan y ayudan! Sin duda me quedo nuevamente ahí!!

Excelente hotel en el centro de Holbox. Hotel amplio, limpio con aire acondicionado y agua caliente... ponen geles y champú orgánicos con olor a miel. Tuvimos la mala suerte de tener las calles inundadas en nuestra llegada al holbox...pero como te ponen un taxi para ir a desayunar a las hamacas, resuelto. Desayuno excelente. Aunque es céntrico no sé escucha ruido por las noches.

Muy buena ubicación si quieres estar cerca del centro y tener un agradable lugar en el cual quedarte!
