Excellent location and friendly staff.

Perfect break

Amazing stay here for a few days. Hotel is immaculate throughout, pool area is great with plenty of beds available whenever needed. We only stayed on B&B basis but breakfast was second to none with a wide variety of choice. Central location for the entertainment of the strip and close to the beach. Staff very very helpful and safe was included in the cost of the room.

It was a very well organised hotel, maybe more for the older generation as the entertainment mirrors that. But a very nice hotel, food was great, and central to everything, so no complaints from me

Hotel very clean and food good plenty of sun loungers , helpful staff could not fault it , and the only small irritation was that the swipe cards to access the room , pool and lifts often simply did not work this many people became exasperated.

Tatty ..the property needs a good re-furb... balcony overlooking a corrugated roof that is littered with the remnants of previous tenants ( empty cans & bottles , old towels and much more ) the lounge “furniture” consists of large pieces of foam with throw overs that need a wash ..Curtains are over half a metre too long and trail the floor as well as hanging off the rail ..No service ..TV all in Spanish .. Lot of street noise ..

The cards to get in and out didn’t work sometimes do hsd to go to reception 3times to change them

Good hotel, but poor customer care

Booked 3 rooms, double with full board. 2 for elderly parents. Had problems with the hotel taking the payments before we even got there- passed blame to us saying card expired! Caused panic as less than 7 days to go and worried will lose the rooms. We had to make contact with credit card, who informed us it wasn't credit card but the hotel actually putting the numbers in wrong causing the payments to be refused??!! Then having to phone hotel to resolve, to be advised by a male member of staff who didn't speak good English, "maybe you have no money" my husband nearly fell off his chair!!!!! Lol. All very much uncalled for, as the card went through the next day!!! Rather poor show. When arrived, took forever to check in with all the messing about sign this, sign that- around 12 pages, but already paid for! Took 30mins! Asked a room on a high floor, with double bed- at least for my husband and myself, placed in a small room with single beds, on the 2nd floor!!!! Asked to move when checked in and was advised no!! Was rather surprised that the room was on the side of the hotel with view of next doors hotel-was there for 8 nights, yet lots of other people arrived afterwards for short Easter break and got pool rooms!!! Couldn't fault the hotel staff in restaurant, lady on front door was lovely and attentive as were some of the others. The food was excellent and surprisingly hot on each service, also great selection and change each evening- very pleased.

The best hotel around friendly,ideally located.food good standards have remained the highest standard in all the times ive stayed there.

Fab calypso

Fantastic holiday we always go back when the calypso is available I never want to stay anywhere else the food is the best anyway overall we think it's the best and we have been in a lot of hotels in Benidorm and I mean a lot but most of all it's a servigroup And with them you can't go wrong

it was our first time at this hotel and from arrival to departure everything was perfect nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff who went out of their way to help and all spoke good english ivan and amanda on reception also made us feel welcome only downside was the veiw from our bedroom(215) it over looked equipment outside would we stay again? the answer YES no hesistation

I HAD AN ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS THREE WEEKS AT THE CALYPSO AND MET OLD FRIENDS AND MADE NEW ONES. I HAVE ALREADY BOOKED FOR ONE MONTH NEXT YEAR

Calypso hotel well positioned for all shows

I had requested 2nd floor pool facing though when I got there they denied having received the email from the agency. I was put in the Amex 3rd floor pool facing which was ok but the bathroom had no bedey and no double bed. Other than this it was ok and the food was good too. Very limited entertainment. Found other shows nearby

Lovely hotel in central location. Couldn't fault the food which was varied and constantly replenished with fresh. The room wasnt huge but very clean with comfortable beds. Ours was located right at the front of the hotel with large balcony. Lovely hotel bar area outside the hotel. Staff very helpful

Restaurant Code of Practice

In many ways the hotel was perfect. However I do have to question if there are any rules set down for entry to the restaurant. On one occasion a man on his own was allowed into the restaurant in a very drunken state. So bad in fact that he was eating his meal with his fingers and continued to eat cakes whilst stood at the dessert counter, putting half eaten cakes back on the counter. My partner and 2 other ladies left the restaurant at this stage, whilst others gathered round to watch the disgraceful behaviour. Not nice !!!!!

Great for a weekend break

Good hotel - close to the beach and bars. The staff were friendly and as helpful as they could possibly be! Especially Elaine :-D

I was in a group of 37 for a stag do 35 stayed at a 2 star but me and my mate decided to stay in a branded hotel. Servigrouo seem to have many hotels and in my opinion that means standards have to be kept. I don't think I would go back benidorm but and a big BUT if I did I would choose a servigroup hotel and maybe even the calypso as did the job , clean , friendly and everything you expect apart from room service .

This is our second time we stayed at the Calyso, had a wonderful time.

Centre to see everything

We had a really lovely stay in the hotel we had stayed at the Calypso probably 15 years ago so it was a trip down memory lane. The hotel was spotless the food was reasonable and the staff were very polite and attentative. The rooms were warm as we stayed in December and spotless, also the offer for buy one get one free in the bar represented excellant value. We will be definately making another booking in the future.

Reception and bar areas good pool area was like a car park it had nothing inviting about it t he bedroom was small and in much need of refurbishment (1013) the lifts inadequate for size of hotel. The food was pretty good in comparison to other benidorm hotels we have stayed in
