I was happy with the breakfast, a lot of asian varieties i enjoyed. I was happy with the availability of iron and ironing board in the room; safe the fuss of asking it from the reception. I was dissapointed with the room. The room and the toilet hadan unpleasant smell. The housekeepers dont change our towels and bedsheet during the morning room make over. At least a receipt for the hotel stay should be made available when checking in, cause i didnt receive one. I had to go to reception again to ask for the receipt as i will be making claims for the hotel stay. Seri Malaysia was a great hotel back then, i dont know why lately the quality has been an ultimate dissapointment. Its a shame cause we barely have a Malaysian brand that we can be proud of.

Furnishing is abit old. Quite empty and quite place and gave me some creepy feelings when walking towards my room. Power socket for TV not functioning. There were ants on the table. Water drainage for shower is clogged. Breakfast is not bad.

A pathetic hotel

Stayed in this hotel due to where my friend was staying and proximity to the airport. Good Points 1. Has impressive exterior and lobby area. 2. The staff at reception are competent. Fast check in and check out. 3. Reasonable Malaysian breakfast. But no eggs in the menu, a big drawback a d disappointment. 4. Good kitchen staff. 5. A small pool available. Drawbacks 1. Gloomy room, very dim lighting. 2. Very poorly maintained room, ample signs of dirt and filth visible. 3. The housekeeping is the biggest drawback of the hotel, clumsy, sleepy, dont do their work meticulously leaving the room half clean and half dirty. Did not change towels, do not provide floor mat or wiper in the toilet which has no curtains in bath area. Pathetic water pressure, inconsistent hot and cold water inflow. 4. Bathroom in Room 111 had leaky floor tiles with water seeping out and never dry. 5. No Refrigerator or security safe deposit box in the room. Overall not a hotel worth the price we paid. Should not have charged more than $25 per night. A hotel not recommended for any kind of traveller.

Swimming pool dirty

TV not working?? No! The TV switch is next to your bed, just like lamp switch=P

Overall , stay dkt sini oke , cuma masa first entrance pintu pun , dah mula bau tandas , and bilik ada lipas here and there . So not comfortable for that , but i dont know about others room , but mine its just okay .

The cleanliness need to improve as I can see there have a few cockroach in my room.....the toilet lock is not functioning and the shower head holding is not good....I need to hold by my hand.....please consider this feedback for the hotel improvement.

Not much comment of the place.. only that if possible do install lift for better service.. It will be a disadvantage for those who are going to stay at this hotel just happen is not well and the room is at the second floor. Just imagined the difficulties the customers has to face climbing the stairs to second floor.. so please consinder in installing the lift for better service n convenient to all customers. TQ

Room clean and nice to stay but for breakfast food not nice

Wifi weak,poor environment,room looks creepy,building like hospital,buffet not much choices of food,tv do not have chinese chanel,swmming pool always pack,and the window cannot lock..really terible experience on this trip..won't come back for the second time even it given free..frankly speaking

Hotel location is not in Georgetown as stated in the web. It is quite far from the main town & local attraction. Staffs some were friendly,some were not. Breakfast is not good,tasteless & not enough for the guest. The only thing that was okay was the room,clean and spacious.

Stayed for two nights. Second nite " No" sabun provide and when called them to send also No bother. After checking at d font desk then staff said cleaner will start work at 9.00.am. What kind of Hotel and staff attitude ?

Bad hotel

Toilet cannot flush, breakfast taste bad salty oily, tv not functioning, aircond cant control temperature..very bad experience. Staff snobbish Mr.Shahidan.

Convenient location for those traveling by flight. Staff are really nice and friendly. But the condition of the hotel is terrible. Mosquitoes, clumps of hair, dirt, dust, leaking pipes, all in all the place is run down and I doubt I’d stay there again.

No towels and hair dryer in the room when we checked in. Had to request for the same but was delivered immediately. Breakfast nothing great. Generally ok for the price we paid

Suitable with the price and nice hotel but...

The hotel room is nice on my 1st 30 mins in there but later, i got no privacy which i can even heard the person sneezed/ chatting and scolding their kids from the other room. Got cockroach in the room as well. But as i have mentioned in the title, it is suitable with the price.

The first room on ground floor which were given to us had a strange odour in its bathroom. When my daughter turned on the hot shower, many cockroaches came out of the shower drain vent. I called the reception, the lady wanted to call house keeping to kill the cockroaches. I insisted on a change of room & we were given first floor. No more cockroaches, thankfully.

Cleanliness

There are mushroom growing inside the room. Quite shockwd. Overall I am satisfied with the service. The lobby’s guy is very friendly & helpful!

No WiFi

No WiFi in the room. Only in lobby & cafe. Simple & confort in overview.

The air-conditioner is not cold and the early breakfast (sahur) is very simple such as bread and fry noodle only.

Kindly make some improvement to the bathroom of room No. 213 because got uncomfortable smell.

Great room and place but if there us elevator its much perfect as the room is quite high for level 2 & 3.

Does Not Look Like a Hotel

It looks like a homestay. Reception operated like adhoc open event office. Stairway looks like emergency exit. Low water shower pressure. No toothbrush. No safety box. No refrigerator. Kind a smelly. No proper signage how to goto the room. Good location, cheaper alternative that is near Queensbay Mall.

Sorry. But I had a littel bad experience.

It was 3rd time of our visiting to malaysia. Hotel staff made good smile to welcome us. But water dropped from air conditioner, some knob in bath room broken, the floor is dusty. George town was so good to visit. But when I returned to my room, breakfast ticket was threw away by cleaning staff or somebody. It was so good to go out with all my baggage. In checking out, I was required some payment for something that I did not know. From next time, I'll book other hotel.

Nice interiors, Spacious and Gd value for Money

Hotel was opposite a mall, convenience store and close to Snake temple and easy to call an uber. Family Room was nice, with kids pool in a resort feel and price was really worth it.

Basic hotel

Made a mistake staying at this hotel without reading the comments/review from others as I booked last minute and wanted to find a hotel nearest to the Penang airport. Below are my comments: 1. No lift - have to walk up if you are given upper floor. I have to carry our luggage and my child's stroller to upper floor. 2. Phone not in service - have to google and use personal phone to contact receptionist in order for me to make food reservation. 3. Upon arriving inside the room, towels not given. Have to walk to receptionist again to inform about it but they managed to send it to my room within few mins. Overall, staff seems nowhere to be found. Not really a friendly hotel. Good if you are staying alone without bringing your family.

Unhappy about conditions of hotel room

We stayed at two rooms: the family room and standard room. Luckily enough, we got the rooms next to each other. However, the air-conditioning was not working in one of the rooms at first, and when the hotel staff came by the room to adjust the air-conditioner, the temperature was still not that cool, given that the weather at Penang during the time was pretty hot. Apart from that, the bathroom in one of the rooms did not have a doorlock/doorknob, which is kind of disappointing. Besides, we were not able to access the WIFI at all; we could connect using the given password, but could not access the Internet using the hotel's WIFI. Nevertheless, the breakfast buffet was OK. We were just not so happy about the conditions of the room.

You get what you pay for

Had to change rooms twice due to weird smell coming from bathroom, and the other one because I found a cockroach in my room, which ran into my luggage and then under the bed as I was trying to kill it. Also had a call at 3AM on my first night warning me that due to heavy rain the water will likely rise and I should move my car away. Luckily rain stopped and water didn't rise up too much. On the positives, parking is plenty, room was cleaned daily, receptionist was fine with my room changing requests, location is close to airport and eateries. And it's cheap compared to others in the area. But I most probably won't stay here anymore.

Simple hotel

A typical 3-stars hotel with not much to shout about but the room is quite newly refurbished with fresh coating of paints and new fittings. The breakfast menu is average. Overall experiences are satisfactory if you do not have high expectations. The only let down is the faulty hot shower which is already highlighted by other reviewers.
