A good stopover enroute to ferry ports.
A good hotel well-situated for the city centre and the fantastic tapas bars Logrono is known for.
Staff was very friendly and the location was excellent. The only issue is that the guests upstairs were quite loud (walking, rolling suitcases??) and it was very intrusive. I never heard other guests on our floor but there must be little insulation between floors.
Great, but no duvet or blanket
It’s a lovely hotel close to great restaurants and also the path out of the city for the Camino. There was only a sheet on the bed and no duvet or blanket. I froze. I had to use a spare pillow to try and warm one side of me.
We enjoyed our stay.
Great hotel & great location
Hotel was very clean & tidy with friendly staff. Room had small welcome extras like toothbrushes & toothpaste and it’s ideally situated for the pinchos streets of the city. It’s also close to the old historic city wall. I recommend this hotel and I will be returning to the wonderful city and this hotel.
Perfect Hotel in Logrono!
Fantastic location in Logrono, walking distance to many cafes, restaurants, sites and shops. Front desk staff were incredibly helpful and even made telephone calls on our behalf to arrange cabs from / to the hotel after identifying a cab company in a different city (Calahorra) for us because we do not speak Spanish. Pointed us to Info to help us plan tours. (Vineyard & Winery Tour with Inma was amazing!!) Rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. Nice view from the window. Breakfast was good. 4 night stay. Would stay again! Highly recommend!
In the centre of Logrono yet lovely and quiet and dog friendly
Great location. Nice staff. Clean rooms. Need to update their instructions on how to arrive by care. A mañ with arrow would be nice as well as a description on semi-pedestrian street used to get to the hotel. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again in the future.
Well situated but could be better
Not the same standard as the Sercotel we stopped at in Vitoria-Gatiez. A bit tired. Little things like the shower head wouldn't stay in place. The sink plug didn't hold water. But hotel ideally situated for the Old Town right at the top of the main way through. A bit difficult tto find. Follow the yellow hotel signs even if they seem to be taking you into pedestrian areas.
Very clean and comfortable hotel. Excellent service from all personnel.
Great location
Great value hotel in a perfect location, very helpful staff and nicely clean
Great experience
Great stay at a modern, clean, conveniently located hotel with a great staff. Would definitely stay again.
The hotel was in a perfect location, close to a concentration of tapas bars. The view from our room was beautiful. The only downside was that the hotel was hard to find as it was on a side street with not a lot of visible signage. Staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.
Great stay while on Camino
We liked the location of the hotel-easy walking to restaurants and sights. I liked having a fan in the room. The bed was comfortable.
Hotel was in nice are? But the only thing I didn’t like was that the Air conditioner at night didn’t work because they have the the thermostat outside so the only thing that was working at night was the central fan that was what the front lady told me, and during the day when you leave the room and remove the room card key it would turn the power off so the AC will turn off, what I did was that I put a old plastic card so it won’t turn off.
Aloha La Rioja
This hotel, located on the western fringe of central Logrono, was a great place to stay for the three nights we took in the San Mateo wine harvest festival. Calle Portales is a narrow thoroughfare that dives straight into the heart of Logrono. A short zig-zag from the hotel and one is in the middle of a vibrant tapas and bar scene which we enjoyed immensely. Our room was very clean though smaller than our perception when looking at room photos online. With our four bags, and little room storage, it was very tight. I wish hotels would post room measurements. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet we found to be average. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for those folks who travel light and want clean digs near the action!
Just a basic room /amenities in a good location. Clean, safe, and good enough for a short stay - we've been there for one night only. Parking and the car elevator are a bit tight.
This hotel was excellent; location (in city center)and staff super friendly. Our room was spacious and super clean. Overall great stay!
Great location. Lively area
Convenient location and helpful staff but the standard double room seemed very cramped. Bathroom was good sized though. Television had a very limited amount of only Spanish language programs. Parking garage best suited for very small cars. We were lucky that the space next to ours was not used.
It is very good the only thing the a/c could not be program cool. It was a bit warm but good place
everything was good except that I lost a hat and asked the hotel reception for information and so far I have not received an answer.
Great position for old town
The hotel is perfectly positioned for access to the tapas area, and shops within 5 minutes walk. We visited a wine-tasting bodega within 25 mins. walk.
Great location in the Old Town. Small hotel with helpful staff close to shops snd lively weekend night life. Logoños was an unexpected treat. Good pinchos all around.
Nice hotel in central Logroño
Nice hotel on edge of central Logroño. Parking is a problem in the area but we made it work!
Great location and price. It's very close to a busy tapas bar area. The room was clean but the walls are thin allowing a lot of noise to come through. The springs on the doors are a little too strong, causing them to slam every time. Also, the elevator wasn't working when we checked in. It was after midnight and probably because the staff at the front desk was inexperienced, but when we requested a missing bath towel, the night desk worker initially told us that we wouldn't be able to get another towel until the next day. Nonetheless, she eventually brought a towel 30 minutes later. Probably the hotel could have a better system in place for situations like this after hours. The price was very low, so I would still think this is a good deal.
The hotel is fine but for the fact that the walls are too thin and noise is heard everywhere...in other rooms, in hallways, etc.. which makes sleeping difficult. Breakfast was good. Location is great, but not quiet.
Great location. Helpful and friendly staff. The room and lobby was clean. I would recommend to stay here if visiting Logrono.
Excellent
Great hotel in a great location.
A two night stay to visit the area, the hotel was in walking distance of the historical sites, shops, restaurants & walks along the Rio Ebro. The room was spacious, clean &had everything one needs. All the staff were helpful & friendly, suggesting places to visit & eat. We would stay again should we be the area
Great.
Great hotel. Good staff. Great in-town location. Good underground car park. Great breakfast.
Great great great
Awesome treatment and experience! Really great! People very kind offered us dining options. Room very comfortable.
Great location
Perfect location near Calle Laurel to enjoy the nightlife. Great free parking very close Clean room and great wifi
A nice respite in Logroño
A nice, serviceable hotel at a perfect location in the historic quarter.
I love the staff and how helpful they are, they always put the customer first. The breakfast lady is really really nice and it makes our stay so much easier. I have an injury to my neck and she was so helpful. The hotel is so well priced for everything and I can’t imagine how the other hotels in the area manage as I would chose this hotel every time
Excellent location on Camino De Santiago. Close to Plaza Mayor & restaurants. Very helpful staff. Nice room and amenities but a bit too small with our large bags.
Good location. Hotel so so
Nothing special at all apart from the location. Rooms lack personality and are badly designed - limited space to get past the end of the bed and if you're tall make sure you don't bang your head on the tv.
Good Stay
Good location. Good parking. Near everything. Very modern hotel. Good breakfast.
Great location
Great location
Front desk English is okay. Great location right in the heart of city center. 3 min. walk to the "tapas" alley. Right across the hotel is Tourist Information center this is a definitively a plus. Parking is right behind the center whereas you can park overnight free. My view is that this is a 3-stars hotel.
Spacious comfortable rooms in a great location
Spacious and comfortable room with good facilities, situated in a great location right in the centre of the town.
Well positioned hotel for access to bars
If you want to get some sleep make sure your room does not look out onto the plaza on a weekend. The windows have double glazing but the noise was still bad with them shut. Room was otherwise clean and comfortable. The hotel has parking available on site (for a fee) but be warned you will not want to have a big car to use it! Rooms
The position was exactly what we needed. Just took a bit of finding as in the pedestrian area, however sat Nav came up trumps.
Overall everything was ok for a two-night stay. If we have to stay longer, we need a different Hotel with bigger rooms.
Location, location
Nice hotel in a perfect location near the pedestrian area where the tapas bar and restaurants are located. Parking available but not for too big cars. Breakfast was delicious and with great variety of cold and hot dishes. It's a perfect location to visit all the wineries of La Rioja. You can even walk to some from the hotel. Will definitely consider staying at Sarcotel next time we visit Logroño.
Affordable luxury in a good location.
We were walking the Camino and decided we needed a night of luxury as a break. This Hotel was just what we wanted. Comfy beds, nice view out of the window, spacious room. The Hotel was very well priced too which made it all the better. The hotel is a modern hotel. Staff were friendly & helpful.
Nice, clean, great location, though a little hard to find by car at first
Fantastic. Great hotel and very helpful staff.
Fantastic. Great hotel and very helpful staff. The room was very comfortable, reception very efficient and helpful. English is very well spoken but if you want to practice your Spanish they are very kind and speak slowly and clearly for you. Definitely will return.
Perfect!
Hotel was wonderful - room was spacious, hotel staff were very friendly and very helpful with all our needs, and location couldn't be better! Would definitely come back.
superb
stopover excellent place to stay
Perfect for a dose of Camino comfort
An excellent choice for 2 nights of comfort along the Camino . Great place for food right next door , who offer 2 euro discount on menu del dia for pilgrims. And have some delicious healthy choices. Only down side is that there are very very few sockets on the rooms so you can't charge your hone on your bedside table. The reception staff couldn't have been more helpful and were way better than tourist information which was 20 metres away!
For some reason, we were sent to an other hotel a few blocks away " Condes de Haro", the hotel was clean, confortable and quiet.
We enjoyed our stay and wonderful staff
Excellent stay!
Great location! Supe friendly staff at front desk. Room is nice and clean! Will recommend to family and friends!
Comfortable bed and pillows, very central location. Parking not possible at hotel but underground car park nearby (at cheaper rate than hotel's special rate!)
A very good hotel near everything you want.
Very good quality hotel in an excellent location - easy walk to everything you want to see. Big free car park nearby but it does get busy and you may have to circulate for a chance of a space.
Very good location and very clean
comfortable and excellent service.. Location was great.
Centrally located hotel but noisy
The hotel is centrally located. GPS has trouble getting there due to pedestrian walkways surrounding it. There is parking but you have to go the right way through the walkways. The hotel is modern and clean and basic - which is fine for the price. However, the main issue was noise. We were on the first floor above the lobby facing the pedestrian street. From midnight to 3:30 AM the noise from outside and within the hotel (doors are thin) and the doors bang loudly. Neighbour upstairs was also making a lot of noise - made a good night's sleep impossible. Breakfast was decent.
Rioja visit
Great location in the centre of town if a little hard to spot if driving as access via a pedestrainised area. Hotel is right on the Pilgrim Way to Campostela de Santiago, next to the Tourist Information Office and on the edge of the Tapas Trail. Rioja Fincas only a short drive away and a few are walkable within the town. Parking access via a lift in the street and getting into allocated is tight when underground. Room was comfortable and adequate for a two night stay. Did not have breakfast but it looked OK. Plenty of cafes and restaurants within a short walking distance and all on the flat.
Excellent Choice
Took a break from albergues on The Camino Santiago to "recharge". Took 3 showers, turned up the air conditioning, enjoyed the great bed and hotel location. Reasonable price, nice property, very good staff and excellent breakfast.
Very clean and modern. Great location.
Very pleasant, breakfast was great!
Wonderful find in a city on a busy holiday weekend
Travelers from US surprised to find that May 1 was both Mothers Day and Labor holiday in Logrono. This hotel was very accommodating.
Good value & great parking - free parking nearby
We found a free parking place about one block away in a municipal lot. The receptionist was quite friendly and welcoming. We asked to change to a room with a view and she gave us one facing the street that we greatly enjoyed. The included breakfast was typical, and we were satisfied with the variety. The location is optimum for strolling the old section of the city and finding great tapas and Tinto. Our only difficulty was locating convenient electrical outlets in our room. We were lucky to have brought multiple plugs and an extension. Overall, we were pleased to stay at this facility (our second time) and we will return.
Great location. Close to all the sights and also close to the Camino de Santiago. Made it easy to leave in the morning.
excellent for visiting Logrono
We used the hotel as a stopover en route to Bilbao to catch the ferry back to the UK. The hotel has its own private car park but we used the free car park opposite the hotel. It is well positioned to visit the cathedral and the numerous tapas bars which are within a couple of minutes walk away
It was okay.
When we first checked in, we received a room that reeked of smell and detergent used to cover up the smell. They promptly changed our room when we requested a new one. While the second room did not smell of cigarettes, the hallway did and it was clear people were smoking in the hotel despite it being a non smoking establishment. The beds were very uncomfortable. They are two twin sized beds pushed together. Given that the floors are not carpeted, the beds kept slipping and sliding. As a result, my husband and I had to squeeze onto a tiny twin sized bed, and I still kept falling into the gap between between the beds. The mattress was also very thin and the pillows werent very comfortable. The bathroom was nice, clean, spacious, and modern. The location was also good - there was a large car park a block away and we were a 10-15 minute walk from the main area people go to eat. I appreciated the toiletries provided, although they did not provide hair conditioner.
Comfortable
We had a nice stay here. A small bottle of Rioja wine welcomed us. Beds were comfortable & the room was very quiet.
Great central location
A nice sized city centre hotel close to the main restaurant areas. The hotel was very clean and we enjoyed the best breakfast of all the hotels we stayed at during our tour. Very helpful staff who offered very good service.
Wonderful Location
Do not take a big car into the underground car park. I am an advanced driver and rate myself, with parking sensors, able to park in most places. Took me and my wife ten minutes to get my estate in.
great value in a great location
This hotel was in the perfect location. It is a short 20 minute walk from the train station and right next to all the tapas bars. It is also very easy to walk to all the sites of Logrono from this hotel. The hotel was clean, quiet and the staff were very friendly.
poor service
Very difficult to get access to hotel, no valet service or baggage handling, poor buffet breakfast. reasonable price.Excellent neiborhood
Portoles Logrono
Great hotel comfortable clean on a pedestrian boulevard downtown. Great staff. Just don't bring a car it's a public garage and a two block walk. Again a pedestrian boulevard no cars allowed. But please visit the hotel is great. In the evenings the town comes alive with people and you are at it's center.
Great location, if
We had a difficult time finding the hotel since the street was restricted to car traffic. Our GPS had us going up a blocked street. I had read that there was free parking near the hotel, so we located that, and saved $. The hotel is in a perfect location to visit an historic winery, beautiful old buildings and have a variety of excellent tapas bars. We live in Spain half the year, and we know great tapas. The hotel offers breakfast for a price, but there are many restaurants, offering breakfast, nearby for less money. We asked for a room with a view of the square that is nearby, but were promptly told we would be happier in a quiet room at the back of the hotel. We faced a blank wall and laundry hanging out to dry across the way. And, the square was not noisy anyway. This seemed like a 2 1//2 star hotel in a great location with friendly staff (even though they stuck us in a back room)who speak fairly fluent English. The price was a little high, but on par with other hotels in Longrono. A better bargain yet because we found the free parking and cheaper breakfast arrangements. All in all, we do recommend this hotel.
Parfait

Hard to find in a car
Difficult to find and underground car park is accessed by a lift with little space below to manoeuvre. Rooms clean but basic. Very central though.
