Good placement, clean, friendly stuff.
The property was conveniently located to the train station, dining, and souvenir shopping. It was easy to get to if you wanted to walk to local sites or take a taxi. The staff was available 24/7 and very friendly. There is an elevator to get to the floor the hotel is on. The property was well maintained, clean, and had AC. Our only complaints would be that the room was a bit cramped, the bathroom door was a pain to close, and the shower had uneven water pressure and didn't have shelf space. Overall, we barely spent time in our room and enjoyed our stay here after long days of site seeing!
Not soundproof so unable to sleep well, AC was not effective and no soaps or shampoo provided. Need hooks in bathroom to hang clothes, for example. Conveniently close to train station so easy to walk to and area is pleasant to walk around in.
Great hotel near Roma Termini station
Good, clean hotel close to Rome Termini (5mins walk). Great staff and luggage store facilty.
Not in Quiet Neighborhood
Exterior room facing street made for a sleep-deprived night due to street noise (mainly people yelling at all hours of the night) and poor sealing of exterior windows which didn't block the street noise very well. Should have asked for an interior-facing room, away from noise. On a positive note, the room was clean and the service was very good.
The hotel is great, especially a great location! They told us on arrival the AC was not working and they would refund us if we chose to not stay there because of it. We decided to stay anyway and not go through the hassle of finding somewhere else to stay. Everyone who worked there was great, the location was perfect, and the room was a good size. Even without AC we had a great stay and would stay here again!
Bad lift. Hood hotel
Lift was slow and often got stuck on the ground floor. Apart from that it was great
Close to the main bus and train station but the area is a little dirty. The hotel and room were nice. Has an elevator. The AC didn’t really make it cool enough. Bathroom was decent. Breakfast was good and convenient.
great location, clean hotel and friendly staff
Liked the convenient short walk to train station. Room was confirmed as triple but got a double. Front desk staff did add a roll away bed. Was fine for a one night stay but would not stay more due to uncomfortable beds, no breakfast. Located on fourth and fifth floor of a building but has a small elevator. Room pics on the site are not what we received. Overall was good hotel due to a short stay and location.
The air conditioning was not operational despite numerous complaints and was told to open the windows for air. This invited too much noise from the road outside. In 26 degrees and the room being located on 5th floor, it was very difficult to sleep comfortably. My toddler woke up completely drenched in sweat and kept waking up throughout the night. The location was very close to Roma Termini and that was probably the only good thing about the hotel. Breakfast was okay, I tried to fill up some water in my bottle from the breakfast buffet and was told that I can’t do that.
Hotel is 1.5 block away from Termini station so very convenient. It on 4th floor and up in a building with an old elevator which seems to be quite common in Rome. Typical train station neighborhood. We got the 4 ppl suite on top floor with a nice rooftop deck. And it blocked of much of the noise. So once you're in there, it's very pleasant. The streets around are like a bazaar day and night. Lots of dining choices too.
Great staff. Very great staff. Room was clean and plenty towels- I’d stay here again- it’s a hidden gem
Good value and centrally located. Small but comfortable.
The room was very basic and the air conditioner in our room was not working. We called the front desk and they weren’t able to fix.
Lovely hotel with kind hospitable staff. rooms were spacious and nicely decorated.
There was a sign outside and so was easy to find. We needed to be near the train station and this was a great location. Room was very comfortable. One of the rooms was very small and it was given to 2 people. The room for 1 person was larger.
Lift too small and slow
Close to everything in the city and the train station
Convenient location
Not as good as I expected because I had a delayed luggage and it was declined by the hotel due to system clitch. However, it is fairly clean and it is a very good location to Rome Termini station and other attractions. All in walking distance. The room is very small with thin sheet covers. My bed sheets had some holes but it is clean.
The location is walking distance to Termini station and buses. The room was comfortable and breakfast was more than expected. There are plenty of nearby restaurants and shops. Staff is very helpful and pleasant. Thank you for your hospitality.
Didn’t know this property is sharing one building with other hotels. It’s on the 4th floor and elevator was small so there were times we decided to walk up instead
Scott House Hotel
This hotel is extremely convenient, less than 5 minutes walk from Termini Train station and easy walking distance of all main attractions. Our single rooms were small but spotless and had everything we needed (including kettle!) and the breakfast was excellent . It may be worth mentioning that this hotel is on the fourth floor of a building with different hotels on each level. he only thing to let it down was the somewhat rude receptionist who was much more interested in pushily trying to sell tours than in customer service.
Safe friendly clean near Termini
A clean inexpensive room with private bath two blocks from Termini Station. Secure building, with lift, and 24 hour front desk w/multi lingual staff.
Convenient location near mainline station with direct link to airport. Good location for sight-seeing. Basic amenities but very small room Very nice breakfast. Hotel itself was on floors 4 and 5 in an apartment block.
The hotel was on the fourth floor of a block (we would call flats in the UK) very nice reception and breakfast room, bedroom had nice décor and was comfortable, bathroom adequate size.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Single bedrooms were very small. I could only find 1 socket.
The place is one minute walk away from termini station and the staff are very friendly. It's on the 4th floor with a very small elevator so if there is a lot of luggage you may need to take a few trips. The room was nice and clean, had all the toiletries we needed and a kettle too.
Excellent front office staff and location
Great location. During late night return lift did not work. Have to climb 5 floors. Looks like some one kept lift door open as it automatically does not close. Suggest have a big board in every floor outside lift reminding to close door
Clean, convenient to Termini
I wanted a safe, clean hotel room near Termini and Scott House did the job. One of several micro hotels within the one building, it was basic but very clean. It was extremely close to Termini and not far from Repubblica area. Check in was efficient. Life is tiny, but at least there is one. Good value
It is clean. The staff responds to the request efficiently.
Close to station which was great. newly refurbished and clean :-). Issue was that the air conditioning didn't work which spoilt the overall trip since they were having extremely hot days so we really needed it.
Poor air conditioning which did strange and scared sound, very firm and old mattresses. But positive: very good shower pressure and nice hot water, 3 min from train station. Good hotel just for 1 night.
Hotel is nice, clean and staff is absolutely wonderful
Surprisingly Ok
Really handy to Termini train station. Outward appearance rough. Office on 4th floor in a really old lift. Accommodation on 4 & 5floors. Single Room small but clean and great shower. Staff excellent really friendly and helpful. Breakfast great for the money with fresh fruit. And selection of meats cheeses and breads. Corridors very modern in comparison to outward appearance. Good value for central Rome and 25mins walk to Collessium.
Don’t stay here
Bad neighborhood. Pimps guarding main entrance. Prostitutes standing outside on the curb. Mattress was old and uncomfortable. Shower was tiny.
Clean and convenient for overnight stay near train
clean and convenient near the Rome Termini train station. Included a good breakfast, wifi and on suite bathroom.
3 star should be 2 star
Disappointed with the room. Did not smell clean although it looked clean on the surface. The mattress sagged in the middle!! A basic no no in hospitality. Breakfast was acceptable. I would never return.
Convenient location. Not much else.
This hotel is located just a block away for the Termini station in Rome which is a huge advantage if you are staying in the city for a short time or need to continue with another trip. But it's located in a building that has many hotels per floor within the same building in an area of Rome that is not clean or especially pretty. If what you are looking for is a place with a clean bed and a shower for an affordable price, this place might suit you. If you are looking for a better experience, try to find something else in a different area.
Deborah
This hotel was convenient to Termini although the neighborhood is not pleasant in the evening. Too many peddlers harassing you for a sale. The room was clean although toiletries were not replenished daily. The hotel check in was fast & they were always pleasant. Breakfast was adequate and plentiful. Hallways very clean & safe.
Location was great. Staff were unfriendly and the wifi never worked. If you require wifi this is not the place for you. The bed was also very slumped and uncomfortable.
This is one of many more budget-friendly accommodations near Termini train station. I wasn’t expecting greatness, but it felt old and rather dingy. Last year for the same price (slightly less, actually) I stayed at a lovely spot just on the other side of the station that was more spacious, in better condition, and more comfortable in general. The piping at Scott House is also very loud. Every time someone else flushed the toilet it made plenty of noise in my room. On the positive side, all of the staff were all very polite and friendly.
Location was good for transport as both Train and Bus stops within 5 minutes walk, plenty of food places to eat with bar for the feel of Rome
In overall it is a good place to stay for a short trip when all you need is bed and shower.
Close to termini and very confy
The front desk is on the 4th floor of an apartment. Recently renovated, but facilities are really old. My room is very small, totally different from the picture in my confirmation email. One of the staff was not friendly. "What's the matter with you", she asked when I questioned the hotel's start rating.
Very close to Termini station, staff very nice, cheap cost
Very Clean hotel close to station Nice friendly staff Good breakfast Bed mattress and divian needs to change
Great position just 5 minutes walk to termini. Rooms are small but adequate and quiet despite the busy road. Water leaks out of the shower onto the bathroom floor. No milk provided for supplied coffee and tea.
Convenient to Termini but extremely small room
Scott House hotel is in a very convenient location, a short walk to the Termini. The hotel shares a building and elevator with 1-2 other hotels on other floors, so signage on the street is limited. Reception and breakfast room are on the 4th floor. Our 5th floor double room was impeccably clean (other than a stained blanket) but extremely small, about 10x12 ft. It faced onto the street, but the noise was tolerable. The mattress was extremely firm. In the tiny adjoining bathroom, the entry to phone-booth-size shower was inches from the side of the toilet, requiring one to climb over the toilet to get in. The bathroom had virtually no space to put toiletries or clothes; two hooks were too high for me to reach. Breakfast was terrific!
The room is in the attic. The hotel is in the 4th floor, there is a 5th floor as well, and the there is the attic, 1 room, more stairs to climb. Very disappointed. The building has at least 7-8 different hotels. So, be aware!
Nice, clean hotel, friendly staff, 2 minutes walk to Termini.
My room was too small. Smallest room I have ever slept since dormitory. Room was so close to Consiege, I could not sleep until last check in/out of day. Neighbourhood also creepy, worried to go out at night or early morning. On positive side, staff were polite and helpful and breakfast a notch better than good.
Very clean hotel next to Termini station. Very nice continental breakfast. Rooms are small but hotel is priced accordingly. If your on a moderate budget and don't mind small rooms this is nice stay.
Nice hotel close to Roma Termini Station
Nice hotel close to Roma Termini Station and Basilica de Santa Maria Maggigore
The hotel was good because it was near the train station so you could jump on the train or a cab and it's easy to get one but the area around the hotel is okay.
Liked sitting outside as 3 of us stayed in 601. Very central and easy from Rome Terminal.
Great position ,room very small but who would spend their day in a room with Rome at your feet. Facilities totally adequate bed comfortable.
Simple but nice
Very closed to the train station were I need to be . Lots of good restaurant . Little rooms , clean and nice friendly service . Nothing fancy but nothing wrong here .
Beautifully refurbished modern hotel in 18C building right next to Roma Termini train station. Bright and white, clean feel throughout. Very friendly welcoming staff. Free WiFi. Great value for money.
Best hotel for quality and price, the staff was very kind and knowledgeable. Rooms very clean and comfortable. The hotel is located just 2 blocks from Termini and mayor attractions 15 mins walk. Breakfast was good. I will definitely come back.
Convenient but not spacious
Pros: Very close to train station. Staff incredibly nice. Breakfast good and convenient. Cons: the family room was not big enough for 4 people as intended. Literally no place to put 4 suitcases or walk around the beds
Next to Termini
Just a minute by foot from Termini train station. I appreciate 24hrs reception and nice breakfast.
Small city hotel next to train station
Great location if you need to be close to Termini train station, bit busy and noisy whole night. Air condition is working so we kept the windows closed. Simple breakfast, including vegetable and fruits which is not so often in small hotels in Rome. I was happy also with espresso coffee. Room is comfortable, clean and has everything ehat you expect from this kind of city hotel.
After seeing that this hotel only has 3.8 rating I was bit worried how it will be, but it exceeded my expectations for the price I paid to book this hotel. Very close to Termini, very good breakfast spread. I recommend this hotel.
Staff are absolutely lovely and so helpful. The hot water and aircon was amazing. Super close to station. The bed however was like a rock with springs digging into your side... overall a good cheap hotel
Helpful staff
Due to our suitcase was delay for two days. Alvin help me to contact the airport to find our luggage. Thanks and appreciate for Alvin help. Will be back again.... “Happy Stay“😃
the hotel entrance is fool of garbege, has no loby or place to sit while waiting. i would rate it as one star
Very convenient location close to Termini Railway station, Metro and buses. Room was very small and shower tiny for average sized people. Continental breakfast was good. Plenty of nearby restaurants and shops.
This place is crossed out from my list
I want to express my enormous disappointment with my stay in this place.Hotel is located on 4-5 floors of the old building, you can wait for a lift for ages.. If someone didn't close a lift door properly at any floor. lift is not working! There is clean, but very strong smell of chlorine and grassatore everywhere around. The toiletries were given only for one person in a double room ( shower cap to share ! ), no any flip flops as showed on their website. They give you a kettle without caps ( so bring it with you for your stay if you want a cap of tea ). We arrived to the hotel at 3pm and planning to leave 6.45 am. They told us that their breakfast room can't be open for us 15 min earlier to have some coffee at least, breakfast starts at 7 am! The offered lunch box included ( again only one bag for 2 people), just water and same portions of butter, jam and nutella, the useless mix priced not more than 2 euro. This place is crossed out from my list
Ok for short term stay
Pros:good location, close to train station and lots of places to eat and shop Cons: hotel was very noisy, no air condition in room, ask front desk for ice non available and could use more extensive cleaning of linen and room
Elevator broken
The elevator was broken during our check in and check out. Our room was on the 5th floor, hotel lobby on 4th floor. The clerk at the front desk helped with some of our bags up and down the stairs.
Felt a bit dingy, hotel is actual very small- only two floors with very narrow corridors. More for budget living
nice hotel close to termini
great location, comfortable room, good breakfast. will stay again if coming back to roma
Fair for what we paid and satisfied :)
Breakfast area pretty small and not that great. Was a little strange turning in and retrieving key every time we came and go. Room was on the small side; however it was sufficient for what we needed. Really the room was fine I have no complaints about it.
I wouldn't recommend staying here!!!
WOW! This isn't a good WOW. Firstly you have a hike up about four or five floors in a multi-complex building to get to the place. The whole building consists of other small hotels and bnb's, the worst part is this hotel is the best one out of them all!! The rooms are small and the bed isn't the best. But the bathroom, well put it this way if your over 6ft or your a wide individual then I can tell you now YOU WONT BE SHOWERING HERE. The shower was so small, stupidly small actually. The breakfast was awful, I had to bring the kettle from the room to breakfast because they didn't have one there or have any hot water to use. All the things available to eat was rotten apples, dirty pastries and slices of meat they had found out in the dumpster.
Rome and away
Nice hotel with good sewice. Rather good breakfast 7-10. Plenty of english tv-channels..
Pleasant stay with great Breakfast
Staff very friendly rooms and breakfast was more than we expected , just walking distance to Termini station . Thank you for your hospitality
Good Location Nearby Termini Station
Surprising quiet, considering how near it is to the main train (Stazione Termini) station. The immediate neighborhood is not nice, so be careful. But for early flights, the location serves a purpose. The breakfast was very nice, with choices galore and a friendly, professional staff. The double room was spacious and with high ceilings, was airy, with a large window opening out above the rooftops.
Close to train station
It was a little bit hard to find. Not a great area of Rome. The hotel was pleasantly quaint.
Amazing proximity to termini station
This hotel couldn't be situated in a better location to termini station. It was so nice not to have a long walk or to have to find other modes of transportation upon our arrival. Literally a 2 min walk. We got there early so the room wasn't ready but we freshened up in the washroom and stored our bags while we were checking out the colosseum. The room was perfect for our needs. Pleasant surprise that it wasn't as loud at night as we thought it would be. Only issue really is that the water from the shower really comes out onto the bathroom floor making it a tad annoying to reach the toilet in the other corner without getting wet feet, or using the sink and mirror. The staff are lovely though. Very friendly and very helpful.
Close to Termini
Good budget no frills Hotel within walking distance to most key sites in Rome. Immediate area not that flashy, but felt safe and a good selection of restaurants nearby.
Awful lobby if you can call it that. Rude staff. Asked for a wake call and never got it. Not even an apology about that, just a snide remark that there wasn't any notice of it with a change of shifts. Awful. I do NOT recommend this hotel.
Rome Alone
A good stay overall. Wifi worked well and so did the airconditioning. Single room was a little narrow but comfortable enough as was the bed and pillow. On my third night I had to change room to a double which was very spacious. It was just as comfortable. The only negative was that there was no towel rack in bathroom, there was a hook attached to the wall but it was so high up that I could barely reach it to hang up the towels. There was plenty of space to put in a rack. Breakfast was just ok. Located very close to train station. Area ok in day, a bit yucky at night but not scary. When you first arrive in your room, you get a free bottle of water.
Very close to Rome Termini station
Location was very good and convenient if you need to access airport and metro. The picture appears to be nicer than actual but overall it is clean. Washroom is small. This is more like a B and B rather than hotel. The area seems sketchy but it is ok if you are not alone.
The street in front of the hotel did not feel safe.
Even with the promise of air-conditioning, this was not present at the hotel. The hotel did not provide any assistance and neither could hotels.com relocate me to another suitable hotel. This was horrible since everyone knows Rome gets extremely hot in summer and we had a very uncomfortable stay. Please do not take this place in Summer.
I first booked on hotel.com because it was convenient to the train station. When I didn't get on my flight back to America I decided to go back to Scott house. Price was right, front desk service was 5 star as was breakfast!!! American hotels could learn what a real continental breakfast is! Great experience!
Great little hotel close to station
Had a brilliant 4 night stay here. Welcoming staff, easy check in and the free breakfast was more than adequate.
OK cheap hotel
Cheap 3 star 2 blocks from Termini Station. On 4th & 5th floor. Lift just fits two with 2 cases! Rooms clean but small.
Convenient but nothing to write home about
Very close to the Main Railway Station in Rome. A 5 minute walk. Breakfast offered plenty of variety and the coffee was good. Otherwise a very basic hotel and I wouldn't want to stay in it for an extended period.
Convenient but small, helpful staff.
Stayed here after arriving in Rome in the afternoon, completely jet lagged! Nice staff, decent breakfast, but VERY small room with a double bed and 2 twin beds squished in, almost no room to move or to keep our 4 suitcases out of the way. They were very nice to hold our luggage the second day after we checked out until we had to take a late afternoon train.
Nice hotel near everything
Perfect hotel if you are doing lots of sightseeing and are just looking for somewhere to sleep at night! Hotel staff very friendly and helpful.
Convenient, Budget, Great Staff
Great place to stay at while on a budget. not the best location but the location is near Termini station and you are close to a lot of tourist attractions. I have stayed there twice and do not haven't had a negative experience. breakfast is good, thank you!
Close to station
The hotel was conveniently located near the station. The room is very simple and does not look like the photos. I was shifted rooms twice due to the smell from the plumbing and hot water is variable. Breakfast was ok.
safe, close to termini, the room was very small...
The hotel was safe, close to termini ,the breakfast was very nice and the shower pressure was good and the hot water was very hot although the bathroom was small. However, the room could be larger as it was very congested for our family (2 adults and 2 children). They also provided toiletries which was excellent. the best was that they kept our luggage when we arrived earlier the check-in time and also kept our luggage after the check-out time(at 11am; our flight was at 6pm so they kept they luggage till that time(only luggage)) :)
Great location to move around the city.I had a great experience. I was here for two days and did not have a problem at all. Quick check in and out. Breakfast was good. Wifi worked great (I wasn't there for the wifi either)
Good place for brief stay
Great location next to Termini. Bit odd on the 4th floor but only a few stairs to the lift. Great service and good value for a quick stay. Single room small but it worked.
Nice Hotel!!
Nice Hotel in a very closed location 2 blocks from Termini Central Station. The Staff its very nice, the breakfast its ok. Rooms are clean but a little tiny!!

Demetra Hotel
They give us an upgrade to Hotel Demetra as soon as I get in. I didn’t see the room of this hotel because we get upgraded at the lobby to Demetra that is 2 blocks away
