Lovely place, lovely dinner. But woke up at six in the morning with very painful stomach trouble. Had not eaten anything else on the day in question, as I usually only eat dinner. When I mentioned this after I had paid, the receptionist just laughed!

A stay at the well appointed Schloss Wilkinghege makes a wonderful luxury break from everyday life. It is beautiful building with an interesting history and quietly situated in its own grounds.

Well kept property with a classy style. Our suite was well appointed with a wonderful view to the golfcourse. The bathroom was spacious and modern. The only downside was a smell from the kitchen at certain times. The breakfast was generous and first rate. Definitely a place to stay while visiting near by Münster.

Really beautiful hotel , stunning , room are nice too. Breakfast buffet is really good but restaurants a little pricey but many option to dine in Munster .

Hotel Schloss Wilkinghege.

From arrival to leaving we were very impressed. The location is sensational.A moat surrounds the Schloss which is filled with fish and several species of ducks.Across the moat lies a top golf course.Lots of wildlife abound. The Schloss is decorated to the highest degree with antique furniture. The annexe is wunderbar. Helpful staff and good break fast.Free parking.Good bus links to Munster,15 min run. Restaurant was a dinning experience not to be missed.Accomodation was first class. Lets face it,best hotel we have stayed in.

Stay here for a romantical night!

The hotel is on beautiful grounds, with a moat surrounding. We stayed in the two story suite and couldn’t ask for more. The room was beautiful and there was tons of space. We had dinner at the restaurant and were blown away by the quality of our meal.

Romantic stay at Wilkinghege Palace

We loved our three night stay at this special and beautiful hotel. The romantic, historic main building and beautiful grounds with flowers, bridges, stream with carp fish leaping below our room's window and unusual ducks swimming and waddling about all made for a memorable stay. Inside the palace were grand meeting rooms with high ceilings and fabric, moire wall paper. Beautiful! The service was great, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was relaxed. We especially loved the complimentary breakfast in the cellar with its thick walls and buttressed ceiling. And there was a beautiful golf course next door.

Excellent country house hotel near Munster

This hotel is a converted manor house. Rooms are clean and the breakfast buffet is excellent. If you don't want to drive into Munster, there is a bus that will take you into town in less than 15 minutes. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

Wonderful experience with old world charm

Above my expectations. Food and service were outstanding. Very spacious room and lots of comforts. English was well spoken. 10 minutes Outside of town made for a very quiet stay. Well worth the drive. Great city charm and gorgeous churches. Lots of shopping in the main district

Nice hotel in an old German Schloss. Staff is friendly. Location is beautiful. Breakfast is good. Parking is good. Rooms are decent and clean. The rooms do feel like they need a refresh (last time was the 1980s, maybe?). Restaurant is very expensive, but not fantastic (service great, food is just okay, especially given the price). Room was a bit cold, and heat was not in yet. Appears to have no a/c (not an issue when we were there).

Great hotel

The experience l had was really good, although l arrived bery late and left very early the following morning so l did not get to see a great deal of the hotel. The evening porter was exceptionally helpful, the morning receptionist was again very helpful and the breakfast waitress was very efficient. Room was clean, bed was comfy, shower great, room excellent. I would definately stay again.

This a truly great hotel! Beautiful setting and great historic feel. Loved the moat around the property. Restaurant was superb with fabulous service. I definitely plan to stay here again!

stay in a chateau

Historic and charming chateau on the outskirts of Munster. Easy access from the A1 motorway and free parking, unlike downtown hotels. There is a bus within a 5 minute walk, that will take you to town in 15 minutes. The public rooms in the hotel are very grand considering it is a old chateau. The rooms have all the typical amenities and are spacious considering the "antique" character of the building and the bathrooms are ultra-modern. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast buffet was varied and excellent in quality. Overall, an excellent and special experience and alternative to a typical hotel. Recommended!

Stunning hotel full of character and charm!

Our stay in Schloss Wilkinghege was superb and a highlight of our Eurpean trip. Our suite was spacious and luxurious. Staff were extremely helpful and willing to communicate in English. Unfortunately we were unable to eat in the fine restaurant but did enjoy the extensive buffet breakfast each morning. The grounds and buildings were simply breathtaking - This is an experience we will treasure and encourage others to enjoy.

Historic castle outside Muenster

This is a beautiful property just a little outside Muenster; a charming break from the usual hotel. It is a traditional watercastle surrounded by a moat, gardens and a golf course. The decor is traditional and takes you back in time. Most importantly, the staff is wonderful and very attentive. The owners are also omnipresent, ensuring that all wishes are anticipated. Definitely recommended!

Ich würde gerne alle Sterne vergeben, aber leider hatte die reinigungskraft in unserem Beisein die Tassen und Gläser in unserem Zimmer nur kurz abgespült und anschließend mit einem nicht sauberen Tuch, dass sie aus ihrer Schürze zog, abgetrocknet und wieder hingestellt. Dies fand ich nicht hygienisch. Auch entsprach der Teppich,in unserem Zimmer, nicht meinen Erwartungen. Aber das Personal und auch das Frühstück sowie unser Zimmer( bis auf den Teppich) und das Ambiente war top. Wir würden ihr Haus auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Serenity and quiet seeker are welcome

A bit outside of Münster, so you need a car. The hotel is set in a historic castle, surrounded by gardens and water and has a upper class restaurant. I felt welcomed from the first moment and would recommend it without reservation. However, next time I would rather stay on the first floor as the ground floor rooms can be seen from the parking area.

Schön gelegenes Schloss Hotel.Ich war leider in der Dependance untergebracht und nur zum Frühstück im Hotel.Sehr sauberes Hotel und Zimmer.Sehr freundliches Personal.Mein Einzelzimmer war geräumig und an sich schön eingerichtet.Sehr ruhig,was ich genießen konnte.Blick auf den Golfplatz.Bad mit Regendusche und vorhandenen Duschgels,Cremes und flüssig Seife.Das Bett war leider für mich viel zu weich.2 Einzelbetten aneinandergestellt und die "Besucherritze"ging beim schlafen auseinander.Alles etwas muffig. Frühstück:alles da,aber für 4 Sterne hatte ich ein frisches Brötchen und große Croissants erwartet.Idee:Mülleimerchen auf Tischen und Getränke anbieten!Service plus.

Wat een prachtig hotel/restaurant. Heerlijk rustig, landelijk en toch ook bijna naast de snelweg. In 10 minuten in Munster. Elektrisch laden. Perfect!

Die Ausstattung ist etwas in die Jahre genommen. Athmosphäre sehr schön ebenso Lage und gute Parkmöglichkeiten. Radverleih sehr angenehm. Frühstück im Schlosskeller hat uns weniger gefallen, da in Parterre wunderbare Räumlichkeiten vorhanden sind und eine Möglichkeit zum Frühstücken sogar auf der Terrasse möglich wäre um die Schlossidylle zu genießen.

Super ruhig und das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Die Frühstücksauswahl ist reichhaltig, lecker und regional. Das Ambiente ist romantisch herzerwärmend.

Etwas mehr Schein als Sein

Sehr schöne Anlage. Leider schlägt Design an einigen Stellen die Funktionalität. Eine etwas andere Verteilung der Einrichtung im Zimmer hätte sicherlich dazu geführt, dass man weniger mit den Schienbeinen aneckt. Eine vernünftige Verdunklung ist im Zimmer nicht möglich - nun denn, das ist im Herbst egal. Frühstück in der Qualität angemessen. Raum eher ungemütlich. Man hört aufgrund der Akustik sämtliche Gespräche an Nachbartischen - ein wenig Radio könnte helfen. Ferner flackert das Licht, wenn die Kaffeemaschine arbeitet. Das kann meines Erachtens bei einem Haus dieser Kategorie nicht sein.

Tradicional, mucho glamour, mucha educación y respeto. El hotel, el entorno, extraordinario. A mi entender, hotel para mayores de 45 años, menores de esta edad no lo apreciarían

Sehr schönes Hotel in ruhiger Lage. Freundlicher Service und umfangreiches sehr gutes Frühstück Münster-Zentrum mit dem Rad in 15 min erreichbar.

Genau wie man es sich vorstellt. Dicke Teppiche, knarrende Treppen und hohe Decken. Kronleuchter und dunkle Holzmöbel runden die Eindrücke ab.

Ein schöne, sehr gepflegte Schlossanlage; sehr freundliches Personal; gutes Restaurant, ruhige Umgebung

Das Ambiente ist großartig, das Menue hervorragend, das Personal freundlich und mit Niveau. Das Gebäude war angenehm warm, angesichts der aktuellen Situation fast schon überheizt, nicht alle Heizkörper hatten Thermostatventile.

Preis- Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht

Zimmer war ziemlich kalt.

Wir hatten unseren Hochzeitstag dort gefeiert. Wir fanden einen sehr schön gedeckten Tisch vor, Hatte einen Rosenstrauss bestellt, der war ein Traum. Das Personal super zuvor kommend. Würden wir wieder machen und weiter empfehlen.😉👍👌

Het hotel heeft geen airconditioning, de kamer is groot heeft alles maar is smakeloos ingericht. Het diner was uitstekend.

Fint gammelt slothotel super tæt på motorvejen. Fint værelse, god størrelse og ok badeværelse. Hotellet har ingen elevator. Fin morgenmad og udeområde. Støj fra motorvejen, men ikke generende.

Das Personal ist super nett, Parkplätze sind genug vorhanden. Der Aufenthalt war angenehm. Das Schloss und auch die Zimmer sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen und dadurch wirkt es etwas schmuddelig, wobei das Hotel an sich sauber ist. Das Frühstück war ok. Ausreichend Auswahl vorhanden.

Ein Hotel mit der viel Charme und unglaublich freundlichem Personal. Sehr gutes Frühstück!

Gutes Hotel

Sehr schönes Hotel, allerdings kann man einige Sachen besser machen. Auf dem Parkplatz des Hotels ist keine Anweisung für den Weg zum Hotel, und wenn man in der Dunkelheit ankommt, ist der Weg an sich vollständig dunkel. Der Parkplatz ist auch abseits vom Hauptgebäude.

En veritabel oas

Efter att ha kämpat många timmar i köerna på autobahn kom vi fram till denna underbara oas. Slottet ligger bekvämt nära motorvägen men tyst och lugnt med en park och egen golfbana. Snabb incheckning. Säker parkering bekvämt nära entren. Rummet stort och med vacker utsikt över vallgraven med kvackande ankor och golfbanan. Badrummet en dröm. Middagen i slottet alldeles utmärkt med passande vinlista. Efter en härlig natts vila i välutrustat rum förstklassig frukost i slottets källare. Vänlig personal ger fullgod service.

Ich bin sehr spät angereist und wurde sehr nett von Portier empfangen. Mein Zimmer war wirklich sehr schön. Ein großes Bett und eine wirklich gute Matratze. Die Umgebung ist wirklich traumhaft schön dort mit dem angrenzenden Golfclub. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und es hatte eine sehr große Auswahl. Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich. Ich bin bestimmt nicht zum letzten Mal dort gewesen

Ein Traum für Schloss Liebhaber, tolles Frühstück, sauberes Zimmer, sehr freundliches Personal.

Gute Adresse für einen etwas anderen Businesstrip

Ich habe hier 2 Nächte aufgrund Geschäftsterminen in Münster verbracht. Das Zimmer und Bad war sehr groß und gut eingerichtet. Das Abendessen fancy und lecker. Frühstück war sehr gut (Omelett), das Buffett eher klein aber gut. Ich kann das Haus empfehlen, schade aber dass es keinerlei Gym oder Wellness gibt - hierfür habe ich bei FitX 5min entfernt ein Probetraining gemacht.

Det var 3. gang jeg overnattede her - de øvrige gange var i forbindelse med forretningsmiddage hvor i også spillede på den rigtigt gode golfbane. Restaurant og øvrig betjening er lidt formel men yderst venligt. Og jeg nyder de individuelle værelser som er langt fra de internationale hotelkæders men veludstyrede. Jeg kommer helt sikkert igen.
