Close to the metro which was perfect. The twin bed was awesome for our daughter. The bathroom light flickered and was annoying. They cleaned the room everyday but still didn’t really feel clean

This hotel was amazing! The highlight for me was the Thermal Circuit at the Spa and the location right by the L4 and the Tram. There is a lot to do on the beach nearby and Diagonal Mall is right outside

The rooms are in a poor overall state, the door needs to be slammed for it to close properly, and even then the lock required fiddling for it to work The bathroom wasn't cleaned before my arrival (it was not properly flushed, so there was urine from the previous occupant), and the activation mechanism worked poorly. I would not stay here again.

The staff are very helpful and accomodating to my disabilities. The rooms are nice and clean. Only downside is the big restaurant is not open, only the bar.

My 15th times in this hotel

first of all the lobby staff is amazing... internet is very bad if you need to use it like on computer.....also got a new towel and soap every day even though they have a info on how to be eco friendly but seem housekeeping doesn't know about it... also got a new slippers couple of times even I didn´t ask .... but the spa is getting so bad... have been staying in this hotel so many times... because of the location. when i came first... the spa was amazing ... you could go to sauna and steam room.. now it is like always cold or out of order for last 2 years...and the relax room cant be relax room because it has so much noise from the jacuzzi which is running all the time ... it was not on timer like in old days where you started it with a button .... now its is runs all the time with so much noise,,, they have no massage on premises you have to order it and its come from other place... so the spa is nothing like it was about 8 years ago... the lounge on the 12 floor is also getting very bad... in the beginning it was a cool place like in afternoon they service like wines and beers and also some spirits... now its all gone... just come soft drink and snack... and the lounge is getting bad... the couches have been gone some of them.. .and now they are telling me it will be closed this summer to have more rooms... like maybe 2 to 4 rooms ???? why don´t they have it like many other hotels in neighborhood and have a nice lounge... swimming pool... bar bad ...very few sunbeds

Top hotel room out of 15

I had traveled for 15 days in a row. Staying at different hotels each night. This was the best one of the 15. We stayed in hotels ranging between $100-$250 a night. We paid around $160. For this one. Great food. Best thin pillows. Very modern design with great lighting accents.

On our first night we arrived at 8pm and checked in to our room. We noticed it was 25° even though the AC was set to 19° we phoned reception and they said they would take a look on their end and to give it 10mins. We waited and rang again with no improvement, they said they would take a look at it. We left to get dinner and came back a few hours later and the room was 24.5°. The next morning we informed the staff and they said someone would take a look in the day and it would be fixed for the night. When we got back 12 hours later we noticed it was still really warm in the room so went down and explained. The receptionist said he wasn’t sure if it got seen to in the day but maintenance had left for the evening. After some back and forth he reluctantly gave us a new room and no assistance or compensation for the moving rooms. The second room we tried the AC did work but even on full it wasn’t very good and the room was still quite warm when trying to sleep. Additionally water and coffee isn’t replenished by housekeeping so we had to go to the local shop to buy a bottle of water to drink, which wasn’t ideal after a long day out.

Super convenient to reach the Forum. Room was very nice and spacious, and all the staff were great too. Didn't use the spa, but the pool in the rooftop albeit small was really good. The only complaint I would have is the shower/bath was very slippery and dangerous, so elder customers might need to be very careful.

Great spot in Barcelona, in a area that is not directly in the bubble but close enough, close to the sea and plenty of options around The facilities and gym are in such good condition, great for families, couples and those travelling alone This will be the hotel I use now moving forward when coming to Barcelona As someone who has a sleeping disorder thé hotel was so quiet and I can’t speak anymore highly about the stay, Top

Nice, small hotel. Near Metro for access to Old Town and its Cathedrals and shops. Area around hotel is not picturesque per se although it is close to a beach. I liked the outside main floor garden equipped with a bar on the inside and outside. Staff was courteous and the room was clean however basic.

The front desk was not helpful and had "no personality" upon check in ir during our stay. Thanks God breakfast experience made the whole difference. Augus and Javi knew "how to smile" and how to be pleasant. Front Desk staff would not acknowledge when people were waiting to be helped and at instances I just stood in there while two clercks were having a conversation about personal matters ( I say personal matters because I speak fluent spanish and I understood the whole thing ). The bathroom is what I disliked the most. The tub has no safety mat and it is very slippery when wet. Also there is a "shelf" inside the tub on the right shower that hit my arm and shoulder every time I shower. Also why would you have inside the shower: Shower Gel/Shampoo/Body Lotion - instead of a Conditioner??? I am glad I did not put body lotion in my hair after the shampoo HAHA. There was a lot of noise outside my door on our first day ( I was not informed of it ). Very good for overall price.

You can hear other guests while in the room. That woke us up. Spa room wasn't cleaned from one day to another. There was hair in the sink when we arrived. Overall good, some of the staff members are really Great, others are rude.

Loved the Echo breakfast buffet & comfy beds. Couldn’t get our air circulating, so it was very hot despite reading 18’C. The window between the bathroom & bedroom is bizarre & awkward unless traveling with your signific other. Why does anyone need/ want to see into the bathroom while their travel partner is bathing or sitting on the toilet??!!

There was no early check in, which after a red eye flight became a torture. We tried to nap in the lobby, but they woke us up, saying we couldn't sleep there, and then kept checking that we don't fall asleep again.

This hotel was the worst hotel experience I have experienced around the world. The staff was rude, impolite, and racist. The worst of all was the manager Daniel. He was rude, racist, and threatened to call the police on me as I was on the phone with Expedia to remove me from the hotel after the housekeeping went through my items twice. I told him that I did not appreciate how he was speaking to me, and he told me he didn't care. His staff beneath him was just as rude and unhelpful. Emphasis on his staff member Laura. My room door would not properly lock, and could be opened without a door key. Then they moved me to a smoking room. Then after being moved, the housekeeping went through my things twice. I complained about it multiple times, and they did not care. PLEASE, do not stay here. You will be in danger, and you will be treated like you are less then. To be treated like I was a criminal was so disheartening, and literally this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at globally. DO not stay here. I beg of you.

Great hotel, i would definitely stay again, the hotel was clean and its located in a great area near the beach and not too far from a metro station. A few stops and youre in central Barcelona. I will definiteltly be staying again.

For a 4 star I expected more. The hotel is falling apart, very poorly maintained. My wife had some clothing items stolen from the spa locker room. Reception staff very helpful and kind. Location is nice but this hotel is not worth the price, I will consider different options next time I’m in Barcelona.

Room was not as clean as it should be, had to switch rooms. They should do some upgrades inside the room itself.

Well the property cost me roughly 100 pounds per night and i specifically booked it for the pool. Upon arrival i was told the pool is under maintenance and offered two complimentary drink vouchers for the bar. Which i dont think equates to have an important amenity not functioning for the duration of my stay. It was frustrating as i could have booked a hotel for a fraction of the price, without a pool around santa mari.

Pretty quiet area, spacious and clean rooms and just 20-30 min away from most places in public transportation. The spa was a nice extra too

Many technical problems

The breakfast is great. The location was great for me, not in the city center but next to the CCIB. There is also a shopping mall very close. The thing is that the technical service was poor. Our door didn’t lock up and they didn’t fix it for a week. The door key didn’t work properly till the last day (they kept chancing our card but it was quite a hassle). The air conditioner didn’t work properly in the first day and it took them several hours to fix it. They proposed to us to have change the room to a same type of room, with no promise that everything will work properly, so my wife decline it. We have stayed a this hotel several years ago and than it was in a better condition. I hope that they will be able to fix those problems because the hotel has great potential.

Because of mixed reviews I was worried, I found the place to be clean and safe. The washroom area was very new in appearance and spotless, housekeeping kept it that way during my stay. Floors in rest of bedroom area replaced with laminate, not typical for North American but is for EU, again clean and bed was great. I was at Forum area for conference and would recommend to anyone who is doing same. For value it was outstanding. Getting to Rambla is a Subway transfer, it Tram/subway away. Could walk if you have time but sun was hot, take the transportation. There are lots of cabs across street from hotel, they were great too.

Front service was always polite but extremely slow; possibly due to whatever software they use. The 2nd floor room was fine except for an awful sewer smell that we couldn’t remove especially since the window couldn’t be opened more than a few cm. Very complicated and annoying light switch system. Best part of our stay was the vast selection at the breakfast buffet.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE/ OCCUPIED ROOMS

HORRIBLE!!!we have a booking of 2 rooms and they gave us the rooms we go in and they’re full!!!! We got in on people sleeping then they tried again and changed the room and again was full!!!!! A horrible experience after 23h of driving. We wanted to sleep; we complained to the hotel and did not help at all!! And the staff was not helpful nor friendly after their mistake. And hotels.com gave me only 50€ !!! For a booking of 130€.

Very convenient location for attending IBCC (international Barcelona convention centre). Close to metro station (about 20 minutes to town centre). Very friendly staff at the reception desk but sometimes there is a long wait due to staff shortage and high demand Roof swimming pool ( the only pool) is not heated and very cold this time of the year (November). SPA is ok but no pool ( additional charge per hour) Cooked breakfast ( fried eggs/ bacon/ sausages/ beans,… ) was very cold. I should have asked for refund. Air Con was only working as a heater. In city-faced rooms you could hear trams till very late at nights.

Very nice hotel room and very nice hotel roof top. The bathroom however did not have a closing door for the shower booth and a rug inside and outside the booth to prevent the users from slipping and injuring themselves. Breakfast service was great. Staff were very kind.

Great location and good room near the top floor. Only downside was the gym being limited to pre-booking only (due to Covid), the Bar closing at 10pm, and the 15th floor terrace not being available to anyone.

Very unprofessional and the worst experience my family has ever had at a hotel. They lost our laundry for a whole day and made us miss our event on day of checkout.Turned out they had our laundry literally in the room behind the front desk and they didn't bother to look there. The front desk personel were terrible. They hang up on calls, and make you wait a while before attending you. They gave us a room where the shower didn't work and then told us to wait until the next day to be changed into a new room because it was late and the staff was going home. Then I told them that we came back from the beach and don't like to sleep all dirty so they downgraded our room for the night promising to change our room back to a 3 bed, when the next day came they switched us to a smaller room and still charged us for a 3 bed room! They gave us a 40€ discount on the laundry but charged us 140€ for it and free breakfast which was not even worth the 20€ per person they charge for it! The staff told us that we didn't pay for the breakfast and I told them to talk to their manager and the guy got loud and we almost got into a physical fight! That was a staff member at Breakfast! This is the worst hotel I have ever been to. The pool in the photo is misleading it is actually very small and they don't even have enough lounge chairs for 10 people to sit down.

Good hotel overall. Good location and very friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Restaurant experience for dinner wasn’t so great but burgers from the bar are wow. Issues with the AC which staff are aware of but they won’t admit knowing about. AC controls in some rooms don’t work. Rooms can get unbearably hot in the night.

We booked this hotel due to the reviews we had seen on the internet regarding the spa. When we arrived and tried to book the spa the following day we was told that this was closed for our whole trip. Had we known of this planned closure we would have booked at a different hotel as this was to celebrate our wedding anniversary with a spa trip.

The hotel is pretty well located and maintained. The staff at the front desk not so helpful and took so long to have my room accommodated for the three of us.

Staff were very helpful throughout our stay. Excellent choice of food for breakfast. Would happily stay here again.

The breakfast was amazing, and I loved my room, it was very clean and the lighting was fab. However, when I asked the reception staff if they knew my transfer information they said no without checking. I spoke to the transfer company who said they’d already emailed the information to the hotel.

Staff did not really wct if you were taken care if I asked for help with a few ninor issues and git a response if we cant do anything

Watch out for the car service

Hotel has a lot of good things going for them including location and staff who are pleasant and for easy things they did extra 😁. Staff went above and beyond to help including giving us extra things and being friendly However on one occasion there was a new person who tried to answer one complicated question after another by going to another person each time vs bringing over the expert to take over, seems the training could be improved On two different occasionsknowledge of the car service the hotel used was inadequate ( hours of operation, ability to change, ease to blame them vs trying to help, inability to contact management), good news is there are plenty of taxis across the street Mattress was worn/soft, touch screen controls were a bit tough to use.

Hotel was lovely and really good location. Room was great (deluxe twin) cleaned every day and all towels & toiletries replaced daily. Wise to put 'clean my room sign out' All staff were friendly and helpful. Pool a little small and didn't open till 9am but lovely views. Room was a bit smokey (must have been a previously smoking room (916) should have been refreshed beforehand) Only downside was the new building still being built next door, no noise but on first impression it didn't look good especially with graffiti all around its boarding.

Great hotel for Business travellers

Hotel has a perfect location next to the Congress centre and when you need to attend event within congress centre, it is a great alternative to other more expensive hotels. Front desk personnel are attentive and friendly. Rooms are spacious, bet a little bit outdated. Sleep quality is good. Great thing is that you can open window in the room and don't need to use AC. Breakfast was assorted with various items and some small extras...

Building is pleasant enough, however the air conditioning never worked for more than 12 hours. We had to call reception to make temperature changes, as the in room control never worked the six days we were there. The A/C stopped working over night every night. We told reception every day, never improved. We were offered a discounted, not free, spa treatment which we did not want as the only compensation. On checkout, we were asked how the stay was, told them sub-standard, oh sorry, goodbye. Staff either didn't care or were not empowered to do anything about it. Whichever it was gave us the same end result, a disappointing stay.

everything good. Only the bathroom has a dangerous and very slippery entrance into the bathtub/shower. It is also limited by a glass plate too large and fixed.

Our flight arrived after midnight and the hotel we had arranged close to the airport lost our reservation. Because the train does not run this late at night we were forced to spend the entire night in the airport. At 6am we caught the first train into the city, and we were just hoping to leave our bags and check into our room a couple of hours early. To our surprise we were given fresh coffee and they let us check in at 7am, we were blow away! The staff are all amazing and very kind. We cannot thank them enough!!!! Highly recommend this hotel you will be taken care of beyond expectations

Nice hotel with friendly staff

Air conditioning could’ve cooled off the room faster otherwise a nice hotel with friendly staff. Not close too close to the city center and in a quiet area.

I loved the hotel, the staff and the location. We had two rooms and one of the rooms was hot, the A/C was not working, after a few tries of fixing by staff and my requests it was finally addressed and that was the only con of the stay. The breakfast was delicious with lots of options, one of best I have had in hotels.

Spectacular breakfast. Dripping honey from the comb and banana juice. Plus the children's area with chocolate fountain. Excellent! Outside bar area very comfortable. Good shopping and restaurant area nearby. On the negative side...was disappointed with the small pool. Nonetheless we enjoyed our stay very much.

Good location for the beach and marina. Also good location If you wantvto avoid the city centre hotels. Beach about a 10 to 15 minute walk away. Area did seem a bit quiet at night. Breakfast good, plenty of options for children and adults. Staff friendly. Hotel clean with good sized rooms.
