Everyone at the front desk was so helpful and the location was absolutely amazing for the price. We had a really wonderful time!
Property is too old and not well maintained. Location is great as you have the station in the corner and could go anywhere from there. Personally don’t think I’d stay there again. But if your going on a budget it’s a good option.
everything was fine
I would definitely staying again!
very convenient. the location is perfect for Metro transportation. I stayed here for Metro line 6, the station is one block away. like it.
I loved, bathroom not too big but well equipped.
This is the first time I have been bitten by bed bugs! I woke up and there were tiny bumps all over my neck and arms! Although the hotel is centrally located and easy to get around, this was the most painful expwrience ever! The front person broke into my room to let another guest in because there was a mix up in the reservation. He apologized perfusely but what a screw up! I will not be staying here again. The rooms are super cute and there's AC, but beware of bed bugs! They should refund me for this horrible experience!
Nice place
It is a very nice property although on arrival even though it's advertised as 24 hour check-in, the receptionist was asleep under a duvet and needed to be woken up. I also had to return later to the hotel to collect my passport as they forgot to give it back to me at check in. It is very conveniently located in the city, close to metro stations and about 1 mile from the Eiffel Tower.
I never like that they couldn’t provide something as simple as ice. It was hard to get an iron to use. However, they were friendly and very helpful.
This hotel was amazing. The staff was super friendly. We lost our phone and the staff took time to call our Uber driver and retrieve it for us.. They went above and beyond to help us. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Elevator doesn’t work, bathroom door doesn’t close, living room fornitura very old.
Nice Little Hotel Close to Eiffel Tower
This was a nice little hotel 20 minutes walk from the Eiffel Tower. There is a metro station very close by too. Staff were polite and friendly. Nice tea and coffee making facilities and a biscuit provided in the room. The stairs are a little steep with no lift though and a bit narrow.
Person at check-in was rude - no explanation of why he needed our passports and made copies of same without asking - he did proceed to say it was needed by local authority? Unknown if this was true. The room was less than, the entrance had a small landing with the water closet next to front door; then a winding staircase leading up to the beds; supposed to have AC however, it did not appear to be working well. The positive of this hotel was location to Eiffel Tower.
Close to tower
near metro so it’s a plus
People at reception doesn’t listen to customer and refuse to service the room Damn care attitude
Not Worth The Price
The hotel was under construction walking on stairs was unsafe. The AC is not working. The heater smells horrible. The bath towels had hair and other debris. The breakfast doesn’t worth half of the price and it’s not even comparable with Continental. The location is perfect.
Property has AC unit, but they don’t have it functioning. Staff said owner doesn’t want to have them working. The rooms are so small it’s hard to shower and use the toilet, even walk around the room. Construction was been done on some units, but staff forgot to mention or notify us about it.
On the day we checked in that staff on our arrival is so rude . He gave us one key and when I asked if we can get 2 because there's 2 of Us . He told me to leave my key with them .I don't feel safe too there's no disturb sign to put in our door but I already told that guy that we don't want anyone in our room I'll call if I need anything yet someone came and open our windows.no ac the fan is so small . We suffered yet thankfully we survived
Everything was good except doom and bathroom were minute, and walls thin.
No lift - need to carry luggages up to room. No air-conditioning - only a small fan in room, poor ventilation, fortunately there is a window. No ventilation fan in washroom. Small room - about 100 sq feet for twin room
Walk easy to the tower, and other attraccions
Excellent and convenient. No parking.
Had a water leak, but the staff was very accommodating and upgraded us. Thank you.
Nothing like the pictures shown on expedia Smaller rooms, bad bathrooms, noisy faucets, unclean linens, no fans and i can go on and on
Charming hotel, nice location. I felt comfortable and would stay there again. The staff were good and helpful.
Friendly and efficient staff. Even though it is a less touristy area the location is very convenient with metro station a couple of minutes away. Very clean and quiet room. Free WiFi. Only downside was mattress a bit worn (bit lumpy) and no air-conditioning (their was a fan, but 33 degrees centigrade at night was hardly the hotels fault)
room to small bathroom small and breakfast just a little bread 1 chesse 1 croasant and coffee for the price I paid €24 for 2 people I don't happy all it's defirent from picture I website
The location is very good.
Bathroom had odour
Within reasonable waking distance of the Eiffel Tower. There’s a pastry shop next door, and a block away is a grocery store, a McDonakds for those must, and a metro station (La Motte-Picquet–Grenelle) on metro lines 6,8, and 10. Gray place in a great central location.
10/10. Great property and staff
The location is very nice as it is close to the Eiffel tower. Less than a 15 minute walk which is amazing considering the price we paid for the hotel. It is walking distance to a couple of things but we did find it a bit far from areas where we would have liked to go to at night for nightlife and restaurants. However, something what would have made it a deal breaker had I known in advance is that we had cigarette smoke coming into our room. We thought it was coming from a neighboring room and after we told the employee at the front desk they didn't really do anything besides offer us some spray for the room and hallway. We noticed the following day that an employee was smoking at the entrance with the door opened and this seems to have been bringing in the cigarette smoke all the way up to our 2nd floor room. This was a huge issue for us because my wife has asthma.
Very clean, good mattress and pillows
Noisy.
The hotel was OK, fairly basic as I expected. Our room was small. Unfortunately it was very noisy from other people went on until 4am on one of the nights.
Great!
clean rooms, friendly & helpful staff & close to my meeting venue & shops
City hotel that focus just the money with no value
Not worth the money paid. Images misguide the travellers
Well located. Staff really helpful. A lot of coffee bar and restaurants near by . Not too far from Tour Eiffel .
Smallest rooms and unclean bedding
The photos are lovely. The hotel is a lot more run down. We checked in and the bedding was dirty so we had to request a room change. We actually considered booking another hotel, but they gave us a new room which seemed cleaner. We aren’t the type to complain but this was the worst hotel we’ve stayed in. Staff were really lovely though.
Very nice and convenient location. Price very good, too
It was nice, but small and cramped. Glad I had the room to myself. The main problem is that there was no AC and the weather was very hot.
I really appreciated the location of the hotel (in proximity to the train line and other attractions - it was just a few minutes away from many points of interest). We did not explore any of the hotel's amenities, restaurant, etc. It was just a quick one day stay. Clean and easy. I'd absolutely stay there again.
The pictures are totally different from actual. The room is too small and specially the washroom is too small
I loved that I was able to check in early because I had a very long flight and just wanted to shower and sleep for a bit. When I had some friends come over, the front desk gentleman immediately stopped us and asked what room we were in and said that it was only for 2 people. We cleared it up by saying they weren’t staying. Shortly after, we asked for towels, toilet paper, and a couple tooth brushes and the gentleman stated that the cleaning ladies aren’t there and that they’re only there certain times of the day. So that meant no to everything. The gentleman must’ve thought he was rude because he came knocking on our door with one roll of toilet paper but not before he made it very clear to be quiet. As if I didn’t know to keep it quiet in my 200 square foot room with 4 people hanging out in it. Overall, I would probably not stay here again due to the hospitality or lack thereof. It’s centrally located perfectly though.
If you're staying here, it's because of the location. It's near a subway station, stores, restaurants and the Eiffel Tower.
Great Location
The location is the best.
The hotel is close to a main metro station, it is situated in a commercial street. Very good address for “Paris shopping “ clients The twin rooms are “côté cour” which has no elevator and very narrow stairs. We had a “duplex” room 😂 the microscopic bathroom on the ground floor and the room on the first floor. To enter our bags in the front door we had to open the bathroom door to have enough space. A vibrating noise is continuous in the room We found two moths under the cupboard. The personnel is nice in their majority. The beds are very clean as well as the towels
Dissapointing
The hotel staff was helpful. The location of the hotel was great because it was down the street from a metro station. The room itself was extremely small, even when compared to other hotels in Paris in the same area, as I had previously stayed at another hotel a few days before. The bathroom was extremely small as well. The room needed updating because it looked pretty old and outdated. The bed was not comfortable. Free internet was included and had good speed in the room.
Enjoyable stay
Great hotel and room, if only the staff were a bit nicer and smiled
The hotel is in a great location- it’s around a 10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and also amongst various places to eat and shop. I found the staff polite and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.
The location is great but that is the only thing good about this hotel. The bedroom was in the back building with absolutely no view on the courtyard promoted on the website and no elevator (and no help to get a big suitcase up the stairs). There is no door to this building so it is just freezing in the hallway. The room was small (which was expected) and the bathroom was ridiculously tiny. I don't even know how an average man can shower there! It isn't soundproof so as soon as someone listens to music or speak in their room, you hear everything. The staff is not really friendly and doesn't even say hello when you get back to the hotel during the day or at night. I really don't recommend. There are far much better hotels around for the same price.
Very small room... a bit creepy! Tired... more like 2 star than 3 star
We came to Sarlet to look at houses stayed here. Great hotel.
Central location but more like a 2 star. My sink was dirty and the pillow was uncomfortable
The property was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. However, the hotel room was entirely too small. There was nowhere to put our luggage and clothes.Theres no walking space. There is no microwave, ice machine, and face towels. We were on the second floor and there was no elevator. The stairwell was so tiny, i could barely take my luggage up and down the stairs. It was a struggle and could be very dangerous if you arent careful. The hotel room isnt worth the price and for that reason alone the breakfast should be free. The best part is the location. All the main attractions are in walking distance and the metro and bus station is right across the street.
Girl on front desk at arrival was very pleasant and friendly, room was clean and adequate for 2 of us, would stay again.
Celebrating my sister's retirement.
Good location very close to Eiffel tower Helpful staff. Front desk open 24hrs. Clean, good beds, shower/ bathroom little too small.
Very convenient and juat few steps away from Sanctuary
Staff members were friendly and very helpful with info on city and ways to get around. Breakfast was adequate at decent price for someone in a hurry. However, there are nearby places with much better choices for breakfast if you are willing to pay about 5 Euros more. 10 minute walk to Eiffel Tower.
Bad experience
I never had such a bad experience in my life the staff is not friendly at all room are dirty. Very noisy place the shower is too small cannot move inside the shower I asked for additional pillow they just left it on the chair down and was oblige to go down and get it. Very bad experience never again 😡😡😡😡
Very good, worth for the price, near metro
Great location, helpful staff clean nice little room.
Room was small, bathroom smaller.
Nice location
It is in nice location but not so good amenities and service.
Old hotel, central location.
One morning my boyfriend and I tried to leave the hotel at 6am to take some photos of the river at sunrise, and maybe see about going to a pharmacy for some cold medicine. When we came downstairs to the lobby the lights were off and no one was at the desk. We tried to leave the front door, but we couldn’t get out. For about 15 minutes we tried to see if we could swipe a card or if there was a button somewhere on the empty reception desk area, but no look. We could hear loud snoring and eventually found the man sleeping in the booth of the restaurant. I embarrassingly had to wake him up just so we could exit the hotel. I understand the night shift is long and tiring but as a young woman who often travels alone and arrives at hotels during late hours this would have been very scary and stressful to not be able to get into the hotel. The man was very deep in sleep and snoring loudly and did not hear my loud knocks on the glass door to get out. It was very disappointing and I did not like to have to wake a sleeping man but there was no other way to leave to the hotel. After that we felt nervous to leave our room key with him on the worry he’d be back asleep when we returned. As well, with no one at the desk we had access to keys and paperwork and it did not feel very secure. I sent this email to the manager over a week ago and never heard back.
Very nice and clean room. Friendly staff. Close to underground and the tour eiffel.
Love everything about this hotel, other than the location, The location could have been better. Super clean, very nice, accurate pictures on this site. Very good for the money!
the staff were not friendly
Very courteous staff, appropriately sized rooms for exceptional location
Simple, well-located hotel
A no-frills hotel, close to the metro station. Reasonably clean but small rooms. No elevator in annexe so have to drag your suitcase up a narrow winding staircase. Wifi access also a bit painful (have to watch a video while reconnecting).
Lovely Hotel
Such a lovely hotel with a spacious and clean room! It has a metro station just minutes away and loads of shops and restaurants seconds away. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and hope to come again next time I am in Paris.
The hotel was clean enough and met our needs of a bed and bathroom. Not the most spacious of rooms or the most comfortable but for somewhere to get your head down in the centre of Paris it's fine.
Traveling with a friends a few days in Paris and stayed here. Room was tiny, but very clean and felt safe.
Nice to be there nice place so near from
Only for short stays
Simple hotel with no real comforts. Extremely small rooms and bathroom. Best part is the location, conveniently close to lots of shops, cafes and metro station. Also other the nice gentleman working night shift, staff was not very friendly and welcoming.
Cheap and handy, small room, but safe place to stay.
All and all ok,not for any one who wants to stay in room.
Nice hotel
is a very good and very clean hotel for the money you pay for it.
Excellent location in a busy area close to main attractions
Not so Happy
I was on the fifth floor with no telephones to call the front office all the way down. When I use my cell phone to call the desk they didn’t understand English and always came to my room to try to figure out what I need. They were not very accommodating with things you needed they didn’t even really know how to
Good location and nice hotel
The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower and other landmarks. Good reception and clean room. Small bathroom as expected. The only problem is the internet connection (only works partially and disconnects continuously).
Good experience nice hotel
Nice hotel very good location. Just 100 mt to metro station. 2 stop to eiffel(5 min). Room is small but acceptable. Near hotel there is mc donalds and markets u can have your breakfast. We reached hotel around 10 am. Their check in time is 3pm. So you have to leave your trolley there
Recommend
Great location to stay
Wonderful Location and great service!
Wonderful perfect location, clean hotel with friendly staff!
Nice location close to everything
We stayed at this hotel in July. Good clean room comfortable for two of us. Walking distance to everywhere.
Convenient hotel
It is comfortable, good feeling, and great location
Good hotel
The hotel was OK. I mean it is just great to sleep and that's it. It is at walking distance from the eiffel tower but the room is so tiny and the shower is so tiny u can barely turn around and I'm a small person. I wish for the price they would include breakfast. There's shopping places around but nothing spectacular. The room is tiny. It fits the bed and that's it. No room to barely walk.
Room was very small, no air conditioning, but the biggest problem was that the bathtub had no proper cover. There was a swinging glass "door" type thing that only covered 1/3 of the length of the tub, and did not stay put, so it was basically impossible to shower without all of the water spraying all over the bathroom. They must install either a proper shower door, or a curtain. Also, saw a small cockroach in the bathroom which was unpleasant. One of the gentlemen working the night shift was very unfriendly, rolling his eyes at questions. The only thing enjoyable about the hotel was its close proximity to the metro.
nice place to stay in
stay was good , but the rooms are very small. very congested for 2 persons no place to keep the baggage.
Great Location
The Saphir Grenelle has an excellent location in central Paris close to the Champ de Mars and Eiffel Tower and with a metro station at the end of the street. There's a wide range of cafes and restaurants nearby. The room was small but this is typical for central Paris, clean and OK for the price. The breakfast room has only a few tables inside and not too much space outside which means that it could become cramped in peak season. There's not a great range of choice for breakfast but the croissants and yoghurts on offer are tasty and give a good start to the day. The breakfast staff are very pleasant, courteous and attentive. All in all the Saphir Grenelle is a good place to stay for central Paris.
Very small room and shower..
I trusted 3 star rating by Expedia but I think this hotel does not deserve its star, it should be 2 stars..
Close to monuments
Me and my girlfriend had a fantastic stay In Paris. The hotel certainly suited our needs.
It was a pleasant stay and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Do NOT stay here
Kermit at the front desk Friday night was a complete jerk. I had a shuttle reserved, tried to use the room phone, no luck so I went down to ask him what I was doing wrong trying to call out to my shuttle. He told me I had to cancel my shuttle and book theirs. I told him I wanted to know about the phone, he kept on saying that I didn't understand, muttered something in French and walked away. Tv signal kept on coming in and out, the stuff they had on the windows so no one could see in was peeling off. Way way way overpriced for the room and horribleservice
i have booked one more hotel in zurich
it was good
Make sure its a 3 * hotel
It says 3 stars but not sure. Room very narrow elevator very small bad internet connexion
Very decent hotel
This is actually my second stay at this hotel. They've renovated the rooms since my last stay with more modern furniture and paintings, it looks nice. It's great if you are visiting Paris: Walking distance from the Eiffel tower, conveniently located to a Metro stop, decent wifi too. The rooms are small, but if you are in Paris why would you spend time in your room when not sleeping? No AC but they provide large fans for those hot summer nights. The airport shuttle that can be booked at the hotel is very convenient, but note that you have to pay for it with cash
lovely hotel and staff
lovely hotel and staff only Thing was the room was very warm , but the fans helped , perfect location in the middle of the city and great prices , lovely court yard out the back that's nice to just sit in and relax while you wait. 8/10 slightly dusty is the only down side .
No elevator
