This is a conveniently located older Hotel that is undergoing modernization. The upgrades are impressive. The breakfast is a great deal with something for just about everyone. The front desk is a definite bonus, with a professional and helpful staff. It will be really top notch when the improvements are completed. This is our second stay in the past 6 months and the change is dramatic.
Comfortable bed and great shower! Room was very clean. Window opened to let in fresh air. We were on the 5th floor. Service was excellent. They upgraded our room without us having to ask. Elevator was slow but not the end of the world. I would stay here again.
Definitely not the best property in Rome, but understandable for the price. Convenient because of the proximity to Roma Termini but very run down property. Shower was either super hot or freezing, so I just couldn't take a shower. Cheap hotel, so you get what you pay for...
great location for access to historic attractions, kind and helpful staff. it’s an old hotel it was nice, quiet and clean but unfortunately in our bathroom I saw mold on the wall and ceiling.also the shower room was so small, really hard to take a shower .
The shower wasn't working at all multiple times a day and I did request and check and they said it was okay now but nothing happened and showering wasn't great. There was barely any hot water or pressure but the shower itself was modern. Otherwise the rest of the stay was amazing!
Ideal for short stay
Perfect for visiting Rome
Room recently renovated , easy to access from train station or metro. Staff is friendly, water pressure missing at night . Very quiet
It would be nice if the room has a kettle so we can boil water. Staff Cosmih and Tiziaho were wonderful! Very helpful and gave good restaurant recommendations. Thank you to both!
Excellent location !!! close to everything ! safe neighborhood , lots of good restaurants !!
Nice - but currently construction noise.
Very nice hotel, the renovations that they are doing are amazing. They are still in the middle of construction and the heat / AC was not working for the room. Because of the season, we just kept a window opened when we needed to cool off. There is construction noise, but just during the day. Overall, staff were professional and once they are done it should be an amazing place to stay.
I disliked the musty smell of the rokm and bathroom smell liked sewer. Breakfast was nice and so was the staff
The hallways and rooms have a super bad odor. Old furniture, restrooms need restoration.
Avoid this hotel
Our room was like a small box no tea or coffee facilities in the room bath had enamel breaking away air con didn't work
Location
The facilities and the room are substandard
Wasn’t the most luxurious but was clean convenient staff really lovely and nice weee cafes restaurants etc round about that weren’t over priced. You could walk Everywhere. I though breakfast was great. Fellow travellers were nt as impressed by breakfast. If you want good value stay in heart of Rome this is great choice
Location was good. Walking distance to many attractions & the train station.Staff was friendly & helpful. Room was rundown, not alot of attention to detail.
Close proximity to central train station. Hotel is very basic. Rooms are old, air conditioning does not work. Have to leave window open at night. Outside is noisy.
Common elements are clean and functional. Once in the room situation changes. Water leaks from ahower are to bathroom floor. Had to ask to replace a broken fridge. The air in the room is stale, a/c very old.
Close to train station
Nice staff and great breakfast (paid extra). But the rooms are at best basic. Stained and damaged bath tub, faucet came off, elevator was out of order every day for at least 1 hour. Was not worth $140 per night!
Do not stay here! The property is pathetic - AC doesn't work at all and they had one power outlet in a room that accommodates 4 people. The receptionist was atrocious - courteous is the opposite of what he was. Tried to sweep us of additional money to upgrade us to a larger suite. BEWARE, AVOID AT ANY COST. WE WALKED OUT OF THE HOTEL IN 2 HOURS.WORSE EXPEDIA WAS 0 HELP AND PUT THIER PROFITS OVER CUSTOMER SAFETY AND EXPERIENCE
Great Location
Clean and very convenient location. Bathroom shower needs update as the one in our room was out dated, not accessible if you can’t step in, small, and paint pealing off from the tub. Overall comfortable room . Breakfast was excellent. Would stay again!
Rome central
Few days in Rome for a romantic break, double room booked and two singles pulled together. They brought a double mattress eventually. Rooms are basic but clean. Good location
Good not great
The floor was dirty, the shower head was broken spray water all over.
Very good hotel
The hotel is near termini breakfast was vgood the receptionist are very helpful I recommend
I booked this hotel last minute in While I was eating pasta around the Colosseo! I usually don’t like to book off apps without seeing it personally but this Hotel was really really nice! Staff was awesome and very helpful, the location was extremely great! And the room was amazing! Very spacious and clean! I would definitely book with them again!
Shower was broken and hotel front desk was informed. Was not fix during our stay.
When I first arrived , I was stunned about how the location at nite was unsafe . My hotel room was smaller than my bathroom at home … ( I don’t have a big bathroom at home) The lady who cleaned my room spoke continually in Italian. I didn’t understand a word , so eventually ignored her . Location was good, very close to Roma Termini train station. Breakfast was good
This property is in a good location to walk to the trevi fountain and colosseum. Lots of shops and restaurants near by.
Pros: Hotel was a 5-7min walk to Roma Termini Staff trying to accommodate the best they can. Cons: Aircon not functioning the whole hotel. Staff reported this was the whole hotel as they were renovating (they should have just closed while doing renovation). General sense of dirty hotel - bathrooms, walls of hotel. Beds were sagging. We had to move to another room due to bed being so bad with our 1st room but 2nd room was no better.
Homeless people sleeping outside hotel, A/C only cools down when you are on the room and also does not cool enough, gets very hot at night. Walls where dirty as well and bed mattress where bent somehow, woke up with bad back pain.
A good place to stay if your purpose is to visit.
Close to walk every where
Very nice and close walking distance to restaurants.
Good for price
Clen and comfortable
It was a fine stay
Good hotel very close to everything. Our room had 2 bedrooms and fit our family of 4 well. The beds were on the hard side and the bathtub/shower was very narrow, so it was a little hard to wash your hair. The bathroom was outdated but overall was fine for a couple of nights. Breakfast was great!
Too Noise at Night Due to garbage pick up
It was a nice stay, the staff was very friendly.
This property is close to the train station. However at the time we visited there was a problem with homeless people camping on the route to the hotel. If you take a back route they can be avoided. The hotel was quaint with a nice lobby and hallways. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was nice expect the shower was very small, had no hand held, and the water temperature fluctuated between hot and cold. I thought I had the air conditioning on, but seemed warm, and we were there when outside temp was 20 degree celcuis. The breakfast was amazing including hot and cold breakfast items and tons of cakes and danishes and coffee to juice to champagne (made mimosas).
Friendly
Average hotel room, bathroom could have been better Staff were very friendly and helpful
Location .
Convenient and within walking distance to where we wanted to go ! Many dining options in the area .
Great experience clean place
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was excellent, close to Roma Termini (5 mins walk), and to the site-seeing locations like Colosseum. Breakfast was amazing. Cons: Too small elevator. Cleanliness in and around the vicinity was satisfactory. Hotel only supplied hand soap, and 2in1 Shampoo/Body wash. My hair was so dry not having Hair conditioner. Can't accomodate early check in before 2pm.
Nice hotel...room for 3 was very nice
Great hotel, very close,to the train station. We booked a room for 3. Very nice layout, two singles I one room and a full queen in a separate room
A small hotel, family run. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The rooms/hotel is slightly outdated but the balcony is beautiful!

Elevator was out of service one evening. Difficult to climb to the 4th floor.
Worst hotel I have been. A/C air conditioner didn't work. It was running but room was hot. outside temperature really hot (about 95 F / 35 C). If you are American, don't go, as you are used to much better hotel. You will be uncomfortable, trust me. I believe that if the hotel advertise A/C it should work, same as WiFi.. Our room didn't really get any wifi. Location was good, if you arrive with train, as is it by Termini main train station. For us was just for one night before getting the flight the next day. It is about 15 minutes walking to the colosseum. Staff was nice, but nothing he can do it. He provided us a fan. Expedia should drop this hotel from their list, otherwise I will not use Expedia anymore. Really bad experience. A motel 6 in US will be much better.
AC not working in room and the staff not helpful.
Good value for a spacious room in a very central location. Nicely appointed lobby. Offered water and a small snack in lobby which I found very gracious. Weird key card to get into your room and hotel would only give us 1 room key even though we booked a triple room . Would suggest hotel provide in room safes .
Conveniently located close to public transport and major tourist attractions. Rooms were reasonable for the price.
Very well situated. You’re near everything. The only thing is the size of the room. It’s really small. The toilet is really small and the bed too.
The air conditioning was not working. We slept with the windows open for part of the night but the outside lighting was too bright to get a good night's sleep. When we checked in, they only had information for one room, even though I had booked two rooms through Hotels.com. I was able to provide the confirmation number from Hotels.com and they got us the second room. We were jet-lagged and we didn't want to deal with issues on our arrival to Italy so we were glad they were able to take care of it.
The hotel advertises that they have air conditioning when they don’t. Wifi service doesn’t work well. Staff doesn’t seem to like foreigners as they give off bad body language.
The checkin staff were extremely rude, no eye contact, no effort to help and snippy. The only one that was a little more friendly was Filipino. Rooms were very basic but clean, the towels and sheets were changed every day. The area was central, only a few minutes walk from the train terminal. Very noisy during the night and early hours of the morning during trash pick up outside. Woke us up every night.
Elevator noisy and the ride down was bumpy/scary
Ok for one night stop over
Convenient to Termini Railway Station.old hotel , noisy but ok. Breakfast was very good. Lift was slow. Close to most things. Eateries close by. Dirty street.
Bathroom dirty and smelly, did not like the location, air conditioner never worked - too hot - Noisy at all hours - terrible experience -
May 2023
Staff was very helpful. We paid for breakfest but were not able to eat due to scheduled toursand checking out early. Staff prepared boxes. The rooms were clean, the hotel is a little bit outdated. We lived on 6th floor, the water was running with a loud sound. The location is close to Rome Termini station and walking distance to stores.
The toilet was not working properly in our room. The air conditioner was not working in our room.
Excelente ubicación y la atención muy buena. El desayuno bastante agradable. El único detalle a mi parecer es que la cama no es muy cómoda.
Stayed here for 3 nights with my family. Staff wasn't very friendly. Room was very basic and a bit noisy. It was walkable to the train station and several of the main sites in Rome. Breakfast was included and was pretty good.
This is a hotel run by the Italian Mafia
This is an extremely scary hotel in a very convenient location, and perhaps a number of people have been cheated by it. The front desk clerk at this hotel is not much different from a member of the Italian mafia, is rude, and will not resolve any complaints or perhaps meet the conditions it promises on hotels.com. During my stay here, they even had to call the police when I asked with the front desk clerk for a room that met the requirements. The room facilities are at least 80's or earlier, rude and simple, the promised room is about 30 square meters, but most of the actual half is not. queen size bed is actually two single bookings put together, the bed provided for children will fall down immediately if sitting on the side. The breakfast was not only completely unchanged, but also provided with rotten fruit. WiFi was not working at all, which seriously affected the handling of emails and other matters. The noise outside was also very unbearable. None of the facilities and conditions it promised on hotels.com or other web pages are true. This is one of the worst hotels I have stayed at in decades, but the cost is very high. Would not recommend this choice to anyone.
The booking was fast , check in fast and room was clean , really nice breakfast whit really nice people everyone was friendly and kind 😊
Meh would not stay here again
While the checkin staff were helpful and friendly. My room didn’t have warm water in the shower and then the toilet was messed up. When I told the staff she said she’d send someone to check it out and I asked for a room change. She said she couldn’t until 2pm! I sat down and ate breakfast for a few minutes and then all of a sudden a room was available. I overpaid for a sub par stay.
Booked a 4 person room, which was more spacious than expected, divided into a room with 2 single beds, a room with a double bed, a space in-between them with a desk and mirror, and a bathroom, including a bidet. Plenty of towels provided plus soaps and travel toothbrush and toothpaste per person. There were no extra pillows or duvets in the room but the staff provided them on request. Breakfast had quite a few delicious options. Staff was nice and helpful. Location is great - 15 minutes walk to the Colosseum and to the Trevi fountain. Overall, a very nice inexpensive hotel, perfect for tourists wanting to go sightseeing
I booked for san remo once I got to Rome I was told I couldn’t stay there there was an issue w hot water. They walked me over to another hotel Tht was outdated and smelled old. Not to mention how small the room was and stuffy. There were no plugs to charge my appliances only in the bathroom. Tht was inconvenient and overall disappointed specially when I booked for a specific hotel and get something else
gives a vintage vibe It was a great hotel, the workers were all so friendly & spoke both english & spanish , which was very helpful for my mother & I. Location was great, especially if you're taking the hop on hop off bus
Never Again
First room I was given was barely cleaned. The air conditioner did not work on the high setting and made a very loud noise, so you either had to try to fall asleep with the noise or try to survive the heat. The room provided 3 pillows, but 2 of the 3 pillow cases were stained and could not be used. The floor boards were coming apart and in the morning I found ants all over the room. I immediately asked for a new room, which luckily was granted. The second room was a bit better (no stained sheets or pillows and no ants) but the overall feel was the same. The breakfast at the hotel was average. About the same as you would get at any other hotel. The location of the hotel was great though. 15-20 walk from the Colloseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps, and 5 in from Termini.
Good location - sub par room
Well situated to train station and sites but disappointing room. Beds were smaller than a single and very uncomfortable. Very cramped accommodations.
Great location, check in time very slow and aircon was not the best. Great size room for 4 adults, though the decor was badly needing attention as did the electrical. I would stay here again.
No toilet roll had to ask for some Mold in the bathroom No safe in room Light not working Staff were not helpful Bar not open nobody to pull a pint 🍺 Had to ask for the room to be clean Light in the middle of the headboard.
The location is fab, very convenient to Roma Termini train station and to Piazza Esedra, which is also one of the stops for the many Hop-on/Hop-off busses. The facility is a bit dated and worn out, but it is a 3-star Hotel. The rooms vary in size: ours was just barely right for us, our friends had a much larger one. Our bathroom was spacious, although cramped: you could barely find space to sit on the loo and the shower was really tiny, not to mention the very temperamental water regulation that was providing either scorching hot or freezing cold water. The personnel is very bureaucratic at the front desk and hardly smiling at the breakfast room. The breakfast buffet was fine, nothing too fancy, but had all you needed; we are not sure if cooked to order eggs were available though. In a nutshell, a hotel to use as a base for the visiting the city and nothing more.
The location is amazing, just 10 minutes away from Roma Termini, although still away from the main traffic arteries. The property is slightly outdated and needs some work done, starting from the room that was given to us: loose towel racks, tiny shower box with impossible to regulate water which hardly comes out anyway. Our room was looking into an internal courtyard which would have been nice it had been cleaned. The personnel was generally from cold to unpleasant, no warm welcome was given, all very bureaucratic.
the room was very small, no electrical outlets except the ones used for the TV and a small fridge. the hotel looks tired. There are piles of garbage on the other side of the street from the front door of the hotel
great property close to central Rome train station and easy walking to major Rome attractions.
It’s not awful, it’s not nice, it’s ok
It’s not awful, it’s not nice, it’s ok. But a quick walk to the Termini station is mighty convenient location.
Central location
Nice stay for one night I'm a location near to the Termini station. Excellent if you're in town for one or two nights.
OK hotel for your money's value
first time in Rome and Italy. hotel was ok....the AC was'nt running because they said it's the season that they turn it off....whatever. but the staff was kind enough to gave me a fan which really did help a lot with my comfortable sleep at night. great location, a few minute walk to the Roma Termini station where the Metro is and the main train station in Rome. the best part is the shower, the hot water and water pressure was really strong no matter what hour of the day you'll used it. the free breakfast at the lobby was OK. the staff are really nice, they'll help you with directions and everything.
Good position of the hotel to downtown, but the quality of the room was very poor and the bathroom was terrible.
Hotel is well located, but the hotel itself was very disappointing. Hotel was old-looking, dirty and needs renovation. Water in the shower was freezing cold, floors and walls were dirty, beds were absolutely disgusting (we actually slept over the covers, covering ourselves with the shower towels since the bedsheets smelled and looked dirty), staff was not very welcoming, breakfast was absolutely disgusting. Overall really unsatisfied with this hotel. Would NOT recommend. Advice: pay the extra money and stay somewhere else!
Needs Attention
I have to say I was disappointed in the condition of the room. There was a bad smell to it and the cleaner/air freshener to cover it up was worse. The cleanliness of the room was not to my liking it wasn't bad but it wasn't really good either. The hotel is in a good location and the staff were always friendly and helpful. Considering the price I feel a person could find a better maintained property. I'm not one to be critical or negative and maybe it was just the room I got but in good conscience I can't recommend this hotel.
Friendly staff and central
Very central, friendly staff, decent breakfast, very up to the 3* rating..spacious room and bathroom..hihhly recommend it. Thank you..
Great location, but the staff and the service left a lot to be desired. Unconcerned about a non-functional air conditioner and generally medium enthusiastic staff. We asked for an AC repair and check several times over two days and we can’t tell that any check or change was ever made. Room was generally comfortable and clean, but lack on concern by staff was a deal breaker.
Poor
No air conditioner
Not all bad
Rooms are outdated and can be dusty. Water spots on the ceiling and some small bugs running across the tile. Otherwise, great location, friendly staff, and great breakfast.
Basically a bed for the night.
The staff were very friendly. It is very centrally located and close to public transport, easy to get to the airport too. It is however a very touristy area and I wouldn’t really recommend hanging out there for dinner etc. The room was basic and not particularly clean, I found several clumps of hair all owner the room. It features a bar and WiFi, both of which really only exists in name. If you need WiFi don’t stay here, the connection is really bad all over.
Hotel in Search of a Maintenance Supervisor
Maintenance desperately needed. Outside the vertical letters of Hotel San Remo when lighted at night spelled SA REM. Only one of the three spotlights focused on the entrance was not burned out. Breakfast room had a dirty look to it. The Venetian plaster not meant for a high-traffic area and the chairs left a gray stripe on the walls. A chair rail would help. Breakfast buffet was definitely economy. The three offered fruit juices were merely colored water with sugar and did not taste of any fruit known on this planet. AC in room was inoperative and paint was a dismal color. The beds were the worst encountered on a three-week European trip. They squeaked like camp beds and had a definite sway toward the center. Mattress gave no support.
Good space for the one night I needed between travelling
Had a problem with our room flooding the first night. Christina was the only staff member who could handle the situation. She found us another room for the night and upgraded us to a lovely room the next day to compensate. Thank you to her.
Roma!
Location was great, very close to the train and transit station. Room was dated, beds uncomfortable. Also added a 4 euro a day city tax not mentioned. We were there for the sites and didn’t really spend much time at the hotel.
The bathroom smell, we ask for clean and they said it can’t do anything, also the air conditioning is not working. Good thing we get to change room on the second day, but the air conditioning is work but not cool enough.
The hotel was close the Rome Termini which is what we wanted ! Disappointed by the state it needs refurbishing !! Staff friendly
Basic
Basic, slow staff but good location.
Good enough!
It's nothing special, but the price is right, it's clean, and you can't beat the location.
Staff were helpful and friendly. The bed in the room was nice and the room had a modern feel. However, the bathroom did smell a bit and the air conditioning didn't work. Also the mini bar fridge didn't work and to my knowledge there wasn't a safe. Good enough for my two night stay in Rome on a tight budget.
Central, but not luxurious.
Very close to Termini. Single bed was wobbly and felt like it was on the verge of collapse. Receptionist was friendly enough. Room was clean. Shower was a slow luke-warm trickle. Room was very hot in the evening. Get what you pay for.

The hotel is clean and beautiful. The staff has excellent service. Thanks
