Comfortable and convenient hotel in Marrakech

Great location close to the train station and Gueliz. Room was large and comfortable, included breakfast, and was quiet.

Room was clean and tidy and the overall presentation of the hotel was good. Staff were always friendly and courteous. On checking in I was advised of my room number and its location and the time for breakfast but nothing else. There was no information in the rooms regarding check out times, WiFi password (available at reception if you ask) or the local area such as restaurants etc. The hotel also did not seem have the amenities that had been listed on the website, there was no obvious bar/restaurant available and the swimming pool was an indoor plunge pool which wouldn’t accommodate any exercise. I don’t know if this is down to the hotel or out of date information on websites but I had booked based on that information. Overall it was a good place to sleep at night and leave my suitcase during the day.

Très bon choix

I liked quiet a lot of things. Had easy access to restaurants, cleanliness, staff and easy access to transport. The only let down was lack of coffee/tea stuff in my room.

Good value

The location a short walk to the train station was great. Handy to the modern section of Marrakech, a little far to walk to the historic medinas, but a quick taxi ride. The hotel lobby and pool are quite attractive. The room was a little musty and AC was a bit weak.

The reception people were excellent to deal with.Very polite. We had issues with one gentleman the morning we were leaving the hotel for the airport, as we came off the elevator the porter I assume started to grab our suitcases without us knowing who he was. We proceeded to the waiting taxi and he wanted a tip from us even though we did not need his assistance. Once we were in the taxi he argued with the taxi driver because he wanted a tip from the driver. This type of behaviour should be addressed to the person. It ruined our otherwise good experience at the hotel.

Staff were friendly and the room was a good size and inviting. The hotel is situated close to the train station and the bus stop for going to the Marrakech airport which was very convenient. It is located on a busy street which was noisy at times but not overly bothersome.

Guess it’s a case you get what you pay for. First day , asked for an extension due to limited electric plug points. The lady at reception made no effort to find me one as needed for my cpap machine. So had to limited phone charging to morning before we could go out so I can use the machine during the night . This caused a lot of inconvenience. Although told breakfast would be served 7-11am, during one time I arrived 0950 without my two sons to be told , they need to get down as nothing will be served after 10. Yet other guests arrived without no approach and guests continued being served. There was pleasentries with other foreign guests , who seemingly spoke country language (French and or Arabic). The bad: The hotel lobby looks nice just like the picture but the room is old. Our room is at the front next to the busy street so I can hear the traffics. Unfortunately I didn’t have a good night sleep there but my husband didn’t seem to be bothered by the noise. If you are a light sleeper this might be a problem. The good: the hotel is 5 minutes walk to Marrakech train station which house Starbucks an Caribou coffee shops, a McDonald. It is 15 minutes drive to Jemaa El Fnaa square and the souks. Taxi are abundant and cheap, about 30-40 MAD ($4) to the square. Hotel staffs are nice and helpful

AVOID THIS HOTEL!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! First arrived to the hotel, a hotel porter aggressively took our bags, without asking and asked for a tip. We did not require any assistance but we were taken back because of the way he conducted himself. We was shown to our room by the hotel porter, even though we said will manage and asked for another tip...this is where the horror started... Upon coming into the room, there was a kids size single bed and two single adult sized beds. We were three fully grown adults that paid for a room for three single adults...went back down to request for a room change, the hotel manager rudely said "if you are not happy, go find another hotel and we will not refund you." We had pre-paid and we could not contact Expedia so we was stuck with this hotel. Breakfast next day, not a continental breakfast that was advertised to be...waited 30-35 mins to be served and we were served after a few people arrived later than us because they spoke French or Arabic. Also, we had a feeling the hotel manager said bad words about us to the servers. The servers did not understand a word of English...same breakfast served everyday...again contradiction on the hotel details....Over cooked eggs...distasteful breakfast and service. -A/C and heater did not work correctly -Bed Sheets and covers were not changed daily, they just flipped over. -Bath rub was peeling and cracked in one part -No hot water in most evenings, in the morning it was Luke warm water at best

Okay but comfortable

Hotel Safia was okay, closer to airport. I gave it a 3 star because it was not extra ordinary. The bed was good, cleanliness was okay. The hotel looked old. There is no parking outside but offers valet parking.

When entering the room assigned to us by the front desk, we found the shower was even not equipped with a curtain! We immediately informed them, but were told to wait until the next morning for repair. We complained to the Hotel that the room is just by a main road near the train station and heavy noise made it hard for us to fall asleep. Their answer was always unchanged during our 3-night stay: no other room was available for us. What a terrible stay for us with Safia! It owns 3 stars, however! Should Expedia continue to bridge customers to that Hotel? In a professional manner, you better have your own appropriate answer.

Great service, professional staff, close to everything. Breakfast served every morning. Highly recommend. Take the bus 1 in the morning to go to Médina and relax in Gueliz at night.

Very good hotel close to everything and clean nice and calm

The rooms were huge, although looked quite worn but we got used to it, it also didn't have many basic amenities making things tricky, but the staff were helpful. The breakfast wasn't self service though and took a while to arrive, and when it did , it was underwhelming , we ended up eating out anyway.

The people at the front desk were very nice. Our room was not safe - door to balcony did not lock. Overall, I did not feel safe or comfortable there. The place is run down, looks nothing like the photos. I booked another hotel immediately and left the room as soon as I saw it. The other hotel was 5 mins away, only $10US more and was a waaaay better experience. I have tried to get a refund, but have got nothing in response. I will wait an other couple of days to see if I get a refund, and then will decide on leaving a review on Expedia.

Fantastic location, walkable, lots of cafes restaurants etc. In close proximity at all price ranges. Easy to grab a taxi to medina. Rooms were sparse but clean if your in a room on the road side expect it to be noisy. Generally meets expectations for price and star range.

Great Value; not perfect for business travellers

The staff is great. The hotel is in a great location for and for the price it’s a good deal. A few things that didn’t work for us: there was no wifi in the room, the hot water didn’t work every day, and most importantly, a bag full of receipts for business expenses was thrown out by the staff. It was an honest mistake, and they’re working with us to solve the issue, but those who work for business know the importance of keeping your receipts. Better training for the cleaning staff is required.

Ali, one of their staff was so helpful finding us a restaurant and getting cabs etc.

I had a wonderful visit in Marrakesh at this property. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful. The hotel is beautiful and spotless. I would definitely choose them to stay in Marrakesh again thanks!

Location was great, 10mins away from medina and the mall too, train station was walking distance. Everything was local. Hotel was cleaning and the staff were friendly. The breakfast wasnt the greatest but cant complain as its not a 5 start hotel. No safe in the room.

Decent hotel located in a very convenient location (a 3 min walk from the train station). The rooms were always clean and the bed was comfortable. Nice and friendly staff! Would recommend for travellers who don’t necessarily need luxury amenities and just want a decent place to rest comfortably.

Super close to the train station very walkable even with baggage. Location is A . Staff arrive B. But clean hotel. Pool was cold though indoor and open.

The room was okay but shower and telephone were not working. Had to ask for repairs. Balcony was very small hardly a foot wide. Breakfast was also average but staff was good. There was no kettle and other accessories to make tea. No drinking water provided.

I absolutely enjoyed staying in this hotel. I stayed in a double room. The breakfast was delish, room was cleaned everyday, it had a beautiful pool I never got to swim in because I was always out in the city. The room had a balcony facing the road side so at night I could hear vehicle sounds but I didn’t have a problem falling asleep cus I always had meditation music playing in the background. The staff were really helpful and nice. You get value for your money.

Staff were very friendly in the restaurant especially Khalid. No drinking water or tea/coffee facilities in the room. No Hair dryer in the room have to request from reception. Every time you return to hotel you have to have key activated at reception otherwise you go up and have to come down to reception again.

Yes, a little noisy because it is in an excellent location , I closed my window problem solved, I can not be too fuzzy while travelling when I have other benefits bus #66 stops at the door of the hotel and takes you in front of Jamaa El Fna square in like 15 minutes ride and bus fare 4MAD I would definitely stay at this hotel. !!!!!!!

Property is in a great location. Very safe. Train station and food are less than a 2 mintue walk. The service was spectacular. Not noisy at night. Room very clean and cozy. Would stay again.

Good value for money. Large, clean rooms - tiled floors, not carpets - and comfortable beds. Just a five minute walk to the train station, and good for taxis.

Hotel is centrally located. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable, but the shower curtain smelled and there was no plug for the bath tub to soak. We had to ask the maid to bring one. Staff was friendly. Price was good.

Everything was nice, my room had an amazing view, hotel is in great location for walking to the mall, restaurants, coffee shops and so much more! Only downside to this hotel is one of the older gentleman working in the kitchen, gave me a hard time on 2 separate occasions. All I’d ask for in the mornings was a cup of coffee with sugar and he made it a big deal the first morning I encountered him. Then again on my last morning, he made a comment “no breakfast, no coffee” then eventually poured the cup of coffee but didn’t bring my sugar/milk like I asked. When I politely reminded him of the sugar/milk he brought sugar then made a fuss about why he couldn’t pour me milk!!! It was infuriating due to the fact that there were some French people dining whom he served coffee to! So I shouted “Kalas” and got up to leave!! He was extremely rude both occasions and for this it will make it difficult to want to ever stay here again!! The last thing I want to do is fuss and fight especially in the mornings! Other than this, all other staff were kind and helpful and hotel is small, cute and clean.

Was a comfortable and spacious room but the overall hotel lacked good atmosphere... the pool area was rigt in lobby area which felt out of place. Staff were ok but a little pusy.

In general i felt the room could have been cleaner,also the bathtub was unsafe as the enamel was wearing off,it was very slippery and one could slip and fall which us not good!The room was large clean beds,close to train station and restaurants but front staff desk could have been friendlier.

Awesome location, early check in, clean room BUT it is super noisy during the night, we could not sleep for at least half of the night, as it is next to a very busy street and the windows are kind of broken - you cannot close them up

All fine easy access to old city, train station and airport staff is very friendly and cooperative nice breakfast only we have to ask for jams and butter (lol) and also i thick air-condition needs improvement bot noice in the night although we r given option for swap sport from this all good

Staff were amazing!! Overall stay was brilliant however breakfast was really lacking. Options were so limited and was mainly sweet stuff which wasn’t ideal Very minor but lift shuts immediately after opening and even when you try to stop it, it may still close on you. Other than that, all was great!

I liked people there are nice, the oroperty comes in busy place, the things i didn't like it is smell and the dust.

We only stayed one night and its all you need really. The hotel isnt anything fancy and is dated but there wasn't anything wrong with it.

At the check in employee instead of paying cash instead of card by saying card is not working, we tried all our credit cards and he keep saying it’s declining. When ask for manager, then magically it started working. And in morning also that staff was very rude in talking when asked about the breakfast time.

Our stay was amazing! Excellent big room with wonderful view of the Theatre! Location was close to the railway station! Superb hot breakfast for €3.00 per person! Staff very helpful & would strongly recommend this hotel!

Too much noise throughout the night!

Great location nearly train station and coach station not fair plus buses stop right outside from the city centre and can get there from bus across the road. Beds were not very comfortable, the tv didn’t have any channels and room was a little dated. But for the price, location, cleanliness and helpful staff it’s good. Unfortunately due to a stomach bug we ended up spending most our time Marrakesh stuck in the room.

The property offers good value for money. In the future, it would be nice to see some upgrades such as the inclusion of a kettle, cups, coffee, and tea bags. A minibar would also be a welcome addition. However, considering the price, there are no complaints. The staff are exceptional.

Great hotel in the Guilez area of Marrakech. A stones throw from the centre of Guilez and a ten minute taxi to the Medina. The staff was very attentive with any questions I had and I felt welcomed every time I arrived. I had triple room and the only critique would be the lack of plug outlets available but apart from that a solid hotel for a trip to Marrakech.

No value for money.

We booked a family room. The room was though spacious but quite noisy and needed uplifting. Facilities provided were not so great for the money charged. Air conditioning was not effective. Receptionist was not welcoming and seemed quite indifferent. The location is good. Overall not recommend for more than a day stay.
