Decent - with minor complaints
The rates are good and the front desk was perfectly fine. The sheets and towels are new but noticeably rough. The bed was firm, but that is fine. The pillows are huge and hard and not fun in bed - I had to take a cover off a throw pillow and put a pillowcase on it for something reasonable. The main blanket was ridiculously heavy and stiff - it was not needed no matter what - there is an excellent AC Heater on the wall. The lights (several options) were very bright; I found a standing lamp I could throw a t-shirt over, that helped. They should install dimmers and replace the harsh cold blueish lights with warmer bulbs. (I always have several USB lights and an extension cord for every hotel stay for this situation.) There are no outlets near the bed. There are no USB plugs. The safe was not bolted in - and with an outside balcony door that was not locked (with no key available) someone could have made it in the room from a nearby rooftop and carried it away - not likely but not impossible. Everything was clean and housekeeping was OK, except they had a new one and I had to ask for water and coffee pods a few times. There were no bugs. -- In summary: it's fine, none of these are dealbreakers (it's a 3-star hotel.) I didn't move to another hotel right away and added two more nights. But the other hotel was really better and I wished I did move sooner. Maria Condesa. Enjoy your stay!
DO NOT STAY HERE
The room was fine. However, 100 usd was taken from my bag from my room.
It was a very chic and attractive small hotel. The staff were so kind and helpful. However, it was noisy as they hold events on the top floor and the traffic noise was very loud at the front of the hotel. That said, I would go back and stay as the staff were so delightful.
Beautiful hotel. I really enjoyed my stay. I will be returning here again.
This was possibly the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel in my lifetime. First, when we tried to check in, the clerk told us there was an additional charge because the rate had changed after we had booked through Expedia. Sorry, but that's not how it works. Second, and most importantly, our room was directly underneath the hotel's advertised "rooftop lounge" which was in reality an extremely loud nightclub. Normally, I think of a hotel being a hotel, not a nightclub with a place to sleep, if needed. We immediately booked another hotel and hope we receive a refund from Expedia.
The building is closed and for sale, still I got charged
Clean and cozy boutique hotel in an old renovated building.
Positives: - The hotel is in a good location, walking distance to lots of great bars, restaurants and parks. - The room was very clean, modern and a good size. - There is a security guard in the building all night. Negatives: - Reception is not always looked after if you need help and we could not call being on international sims. Our room was at the front of the building and it is on a main road, extremely noisy and we didn't sleep much at all (even with earplugs). If you stay here, request a back room. Noise in the reception (phone, music, reception talking) also travels to the rooms as it is very open plan. - Our shower was broken, we had to wait 15 minutes every shower for the hot water to come through (waste of water and time). - Our booking stated that we would get a free breakfast included with our cost. This was not true. I asked reception about the breakfast and was given a very rude response saying there is no breakfast and I should call Expedia to advise them (I believe this is the hotel's responsibility not the guest's..). We would not stay here again but if you're looking for a good priced modern hotel, you're a heavy sleeper and you don't require breakfast then the hotel will be perfect for you.
Roma is typically a nice area; Condessa neighborhood a little more nice. Anyways, I stayed in Roma this trip and am always open to staying at different hotels or Air-bnb’s. The staff (girl at front desk) was very nice and spoke some English despite her initially telling me Spanish only ;-) The front of the building is a little off-putting and could use some freshening and more exterior lighting at night time. In my room, there was a sewer back up that flooded the shower floor (no bueno). However, the front desk girl happily cleaned it all up while I went for dinner. Despite the cleaning, I still chose to not shower. No toilet paper (bring your own). No hot water. I ran the sink water for quite a while and still no hot water. Anyways, the next morning I got my hair wet in the sink with cold water and went on my way without pooping. I think (hope) these issues can be relatively easily fixed.
Great place !
The place is cutely furnished and bathroom is nice. They also have a rooftop patio that adds an extra touch. The owner is very friendly and sweet. There is a guard there throughout the night giving you an extra sense of security which is a great feeling when you’re traveling. It is close to several popular places/neighborhoods in the city via uber/taxi. It is also walking distance to a lot of coffee shops, restaurants and bars.
would not choose to stay here again because of the cleanliness and the way in which the building was set up.
Beautiful boutique hotel in the best location of Mexico city. Walking distance from everything you need. Secure area and close to EVERYTHING. Staff was awesome and made me feel at home. I loved how clean it smelled and how everything was. I highly recommend it. Walking distance from the best restaurants, bars and stores.
The shower had hair and it was really noisy all through the night and in the morning the construction workers started as well as a water bomb day and night.
La estancia en la habitación estuvo "bien", la comodidad en la habitación fue muy buena, sin embargo al final de nuestra estancia nos encontramos una cucaracha muerta.
It is not easy to find parking around the hotel. They should provide us an option to park our car
