Could have been awesome but .....

When we booked this hotel there was a spa advertised with an amazing sauna. The hotel was priced higher than alternatives but we booked here based on the sauna. We were not informed in advance but upon asking found out they have water damage and the spa/sauna is now closed. Very sad as I feel like we wasted money and also wasted our time - we would have booked elsewhere. Also, although the reception staff enthusiastically showed us a map of how to take public transport he was dismissive of our inquiry for their electric vehicle charger - we ended up driving to the local mall to charge our rental car. Overall a wasted day and we didn't even have time to visit Munich city due to the car charging issue.

Staff are lovely and friendly. Room was quaint and good size. Food in restaurant is excellent. Beds very comfortable. Room very quiet and peaceful. Negatives are mainly room based. No water except 1 tiny bottle between 2 on day 1?? No shampoo or conditioner … not a fan of washing hair with shower gel! Paid nearly 400 euro a night as Adele concert so would have expected basics like this. 2 lights not working or AC but they did fix straight away. Overall though a lovely place and at their non inflated Adele rate nights very good value.

We went to see Adeke so for location it was great we walked there in about 10 mins easily found and very close to shopping centre too. However if you wanted to visit munich city it’s a few train stops away. Not the prettiest of areas but safe. Food was good in the hotel and staff were pleasant and happy to help.

ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT

Loved everything about the hotel! The ornate rooms, the beds, the bathroom, and especially the BREAKFAST!! A very impressive display of choices, all freshly made and delicious. The coffee machine was so high-tech, which comes with a touch-screen, providing multiple selections of high-quality coffee. (Gotta try out the cappuccino!) The indoor and outdoor dining areas were beautiful, and the service was superb. There's also a small playground situated across the yard with a slide, two swings, and a rope ladder. It was the perfect cup of tea for my kids while daddy and mommy sat around enjoying our true cup of tea. LOL. Yes, the tea selection was extraordinary as well, certainly serving not the usual teabags, they were genuine tea leaves. Just by looking at the row of labeled canisters on the shelf itself is exciting enough already. Brewing tea with a strainer inside a mug makes me so happy. My husband and I couldn't stop talking about our experience at the hotel. It was truly one of the highlights of our travel that we will never forget. We will choose to stay again if we ever get to visit Munich in the future.

Excellent experience despite minor complaint

Very clean and excellent service. Breakfast was especially fresh (real honeycomb!) Only difficulty was not being able to cancel our first night several days prior to arriving. We were told that we could not do that without canceling our entire reservation because it was done on Expedia — seriously ??

I like the location of the hotel, on a side street in a very charming small neighborhood away from everything. Despite its size, it has all of the amenities. I like the interior design of the hotel and the very friendly and helpful staff. The room was lovely.. The food in the restaurant was fantastic and a delicious breakfast was included.. I would be very happy to stay here on any future trips to Munich.

While the lobby of this hotel was undergoing construction and finding the right place to check in at reception was confusing and a bit frustrating when we arrived, our room was absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to stay a second night. It’s my understanding that the lobby construction will be completed by August 24, 2018 so that will make registration much more simple. The rooms we’re remodeled in 2017, I believe, and the wood floors, beautiful furniture, drapes, and wonderful colors ofthe fabrics chosen for the rooms make for a comfortable, cozy stay. The bathroom in our room was a fairly nice size but the shower was one of those corner showers and I always prefer a bathtub with a shower. Unfortunately the hotel was undergoing a remodel with substantial construction in progress. The Junior Suite despite it stating ‘sleeps 4’, only sleeps two adults and two little children. The Junior Suite we stayed in was on the top floor with a major part of the room having slanted walls and very low ceilings due to the roof line, making actual living space much less usable.

Good location next to train station. Very clean. There was construction going on which we didn't know about, so it was a bit loud at times and facilities were moved around. The staff was great, very professional and kind.

Perfect place

Great place. Close to public transportation (a must for visiting Munich), quite, authentic, great food and excellent breakfast buffet. If you don't care about the rooms being slightly tiny this is the place to stay!

What sets this hotel apart from others is the attention to detail. From the cozy restaurant & bar area to the guest rooms, everything was perfect! Close to the train station and a short ride to Munich center are an added bonus. Finally, the staff were most friendly and helpful. We'll be back for sure!

good sleeping quality

We stopped there for one night due to flight from Munich early morning. The sleep quality was very good, same was the food we had for breakfast and diner. The guy at the reception at check in seemed not to be very interested and spoke about 2 sentences, the other staff was okay, but not as we expected from a 4 star Hotel. Even the restaurant was only occupied for maximum 50%, every new one was asked, if they booked a table and if not, checked intensively in the computer, if there is a table free. Bit of amusing.

So fresh! Breakfast/frustuck for a king! Loved the fresh honey and variety for international travelers!

Nice Breakfast

This hotel is a 20 minute train ride from Munich central station. We stayed during Oktoberfest so the room price was very high. Being so far from the city centre meant it wasn't good value for money for my husband and I. We stayed in a Premium Double Room. It seemed more a standard room. The wifi connection was very slow. The breakfast was outstanding.

Great hotel and restaurant

Very attractive and comfortable hotel. Restaurant, bar, and biergarten were all excellent, as was the breakfast. Friendly and attentive staff and an extensive fitness center. Although a fair distance from the city center, the Marienplatz can be reached with a 5 minute walk and 15 minute S-Bahn.

A lovely hotel in Riem

We enjoyed our 3 night stay here. The hotel was in a quiet neighbourhood away from the hustle and bustle of Munich. We loved the hotel settings, the friendly staff, the clean and welcoming environment, the outdoor al fresco dining which was great for the warm days. It is a small hotel so it feels homely, warm and secure. How does it get any better than this? Highy recommended.

Definitely coming back!

This hotel was a perfect choice for München, especially that we had a car with us and two young children. The family room was great, really clean and spacious. Staff were amazingly helpful and polite. Restaurant staff,,,hats off to you. There were two parking places, one was free and really small and another underground place with a surcharge. Location was 15 to 20 minutes by car to Marienplatz, but was easy to reach by car or public transport. I highly recommend this place especially if you don't mind being a bit away from the center.

Luxury accommodations at a very low price.

Hotel Prinzregent was the highlight of our trip. It's a luxury hotel for a very reasonable price. Beautiful rooms, and a fantastic breakfast was included. We had a family room which was really two rooms with a sliding door to separate. Kids loved it. It's in Riem, which is a bit out of ten if you are visiting Munich, but there is a train station about two blocks away, so it was fairly easy to get into town. The neighborhood around the hotel is residential and felt very safe. We loved the whole experience and highly recommend it.

Munich business trip

Nice hotel near business area of Munich not in the center but s-bahn is only 10 mins walk away. Breakfast was good with good gluten free options (breads, fruit and muesli). Restaurant was good although service could be slow if they were busy. Fitness area was very small. Overall I would stay here again.

Great location for a quick Munich trip

Stayed two nights. Spent full day downtown Munich for the Christmas market. Excellent location given the price discount for staying outside of the city. Quick 3 minute walk down one street to a train station and less than 3 euro for a train ride right into the middle of the city. The hotel is very clean and orderly. Front desk staff very helpful and nice--provided a map to the city and directions for the train; also made restaurant reservations for both nights. I do not speak German, but everyone was more than willing to speak English to accomodate my lack of language mastery. Hotel restaurant was very good--delicious Bavarian style food. Had the schnitzel, pumpkin soup, chicken salad, dumplings, beer, wine, and dessert. Tasty! Had a third floor room which overlooked the courtyard. Room and bathroom very clean. Bed was somewhat firm, but I don't mind it that way--I think that was my wife's only comment though, she doesn't care for the firm matress. Great two night stay, definitely want to spend more time in Munich and will absolutely consider staying here again. Thanks!

Lovely authentic southern German style spa hotel!

Lovely southern German style authentic local hotel - brilliant customer service, nice clean & comfortable rooms, amazing breakfast, free shuttle across local area / to subway - i will certainly stay there again if the chance arises! Shame I didn't get time to try out the spa facilities - next time!

I've just stayed here for a week and it has been amazing! The room was spacious, clean and well-serviced and the bed was really comfortable. The 'wellness' spa is great to relax in after a long day, or you can work out in the gym room if you are that way inclined! The staff are fantastic - really helpful, knowledgeable and multilingual, whilst also being friendly and jovial. At breakfast, the chef will cook a delicious fresh omelette in front of you if you desire, though there is plenty of choice on the buffet: a variety of breads and cakes/pastries, hot and cold meats, salad and fruit, all kinds of cheese, cereals, yoghurts, loose-leaf teas, freshly ground coffee, juices, even Prosecco and beer etc etc...

Nice, quiet place outside the city center

Fairly far out of town, but a very nice hotel. Only gripe was the faint smell of smoke in our non-smoking room, but I think smoke kind of wafts in from their courtyard in general since they leave the doors open. Tiny blip in an otherwise great stay...would definitely recommend if someone wants a nice, quiet place outside the city center.

Not close to city center

This hotel was nice but we only used it for a meeting place for our Porsche tour. Stayed at the sister hotel closer to town for the rest of our stay. Hotel needs a lot of updating but staff, breakfast and proximity to town and beer garden was perfect!

a surprisingly pleasant stay

I booked this hotel based on other people's reviews and I am so happy that I did. It was a real pleasant stay. The staff was real friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great! Hotel was real clean. Even though it is in the suburbs, the train station is only 5 minutes of real pleasant walk away. Would definitely stay in this hotel again when I came back to Munich to visit!

Quality and charm.

We 4 old blokes stayed 2 nights and really loved it. Bit more expensive than we'd been paying on our trip but enjoyed the higher standard. And the Biergarten!! 5 minutes to station and 20 minutes to Hofbräuhaus. Perfect.

A perfect stay for my 33 guests

I booked the hotel as a tourguide for 33 BMW entusiast, and I recieved no complaits - everything went smoothly and as agreed with the staff. Very nice rooms - cosy beergarden og friendly staff. The hotel is located in a quite area, close to the highway.

Ok for biz trip near Messe München

The stay was great. However there were several areas that can be done better, for instance my room was lacking a hot water boiler. I heard my colleague's room was lacking too and his garbage of complementary water bottle was still there after several room services - strange for a hotel isn't? However, would recommend for business trip near Messe München since it's in a great location and got good variety at breakfast buffet.
