It was good
The hotel is older & in need of renovations. The decor is aging & the bathrooms need a major revamp. The rooms are quite small & have no in room amenities like coffee or tea. And the walls are paper thin, so with loud guests & crying babies all around us, it was hard to get to relax &/or sleep if you needed to.
Easily accessible to transportation, bus #23 stops in front and takes you to plaza mayor. Our stay was not very quiet, we were assigned rooms #612-613 and these two are in front of the elevator and the noise level is unbearable. The breakfast was not great, same items every day and quality and freshness seemed poor. You can have an amazing breakfast at any of the restaurants in the same area for way cheaper. The staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous. The nightly rate was fair, but I wouldn’t have mind paying more for a quiet and modern place.
Best Brekky
Best breakfast. Great options. Loved the churros!
Some free parking or pay for parking. Hotel was upgraded and nice.
I loved the daily housekeeping. The restaurant was great and reasonable. We had the buffet, $42. I think that was a good price. I felt safe. Very busy and seemed to have it under control. The men workers need to be more friendly and helpful. I noticed that in general while in Madrid. I really like to thank the young man who waited on us in the restaurant. He took the time to explain our choices for dinner. Very helpful. The only downside was, the walls are thin, I could hear noise from my neighbor. I would stay again. USA, Louisiana
Excelente servicio y atención, el desayuno estuvo increíble! Muchas gracias por hacer de mi viaje a Madrid una maravilla
It was ok if you just want to spend one night
Good and Bad
Far from city center
It was an okay area, nothing special.
One of the fastest checkin and outs I've ever experiances., friendly ataff!
Location
Location an excellent choice for us
Hotel is adequate. A little out of the way, but there is a bus to downtown and a metro stop about 15 mins walk away.
Nice and Clean......friendly and helpful staff
Service is bad , property is not clean ,
Someone in billed a meal and wine to our room and we were asked to pay for it.
Not located near center Convenient bus outside door but doesn’t take you directly to major tourist sites Hard to find bus after too Great location for accommodations for tours
El hotel estuvo bien. Algo de descontenta con el desayuno.
Hotel Praga Madrid offers a delightful stay in the heart of the city. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us warmly and ensured our comfort throughout our stay. The rooms were spacious, elegantly furnished, and impeccably clean. The hotel's location was convenient, with easy access to public transportation and nearby attractions. We also appreciated the delicious breakfast buffet, providing a great start to each day of exploration in Madrid. Overall, Hotel Praga Madrid exceeded our expectations, and we would gladly return for another memorable stay.
Excellent hospitality! Thanks.
Excellent check in process. Has a bus stop in front of the hotel and gives rapid access to the Madrid Center.
It will be good to teach the chef how to do scramble eggs and also give more options for people with diabetes in the breakfast, more cereals, more juices, more fruits, the oat milk is not water with savour, it will be good if they buy a proper brand and the reception could be more friendly even if they have to be like that with people black or Latin American as this is a business for all users.
Breakfast buffet was amazing. Bus stop was in front of the hotel which is convenient to get to city center. Room is nice except that the wifi is slow.
The hotel was beautiful and the staff was very helpful.
Staff amazing
Great Stay
Had a great stay here the hotel was well located and very nice. Breakfast was excellent, no complaints whatsoever
It was good but a big inconvenience that there was no coffee in the room ans no conditioner for women’s hair. What we did not like was that there was no plu for our phone RIGHT BESIDE OUR BED. We did appreciate that you made available to us coffee and croissant for early checkout guests (at 5:30 am)
In a good area for locals to shop and dine.
Hotel was friendly and comfortable but car park is tight
Overall happy with everything, spacious room ,quiet even though on main road which was vert convenient for shops and restaurants

The hotel was good. The rooms were comfortable. Outdated look in the hallways and non working elevators quite often.
Excellent price and various transportation options that make our vacation a good experience. We will recommend this hotel to anyone for their stay in Madrid.
Somehow Was expecting a little more with that price. But overall nothing wrong in specific…
The hotel is clean. Housekeeping very good. No tea and coffee making facilities in the room which is a real disappointment. The TV only has approx four channels in English and all news! So gets boring to stay in the room. My fridge wasn’t working had to call maintenance to swap over for one that worked. The breakfast is average. Not much variety on hot food in terms of English breakfast. No hash brown, proper sausage, mushrooms, baked beans. The area around the hotel is very average/not an up and coming area and a bit shabby, not a lot to do and far away from centre. Wanted to delay check out by 2 hours as had a late flight and they wanted €30! Wouldn’t budge on price that’s set until 6pm, no negotiation. Unhelpful.
great service. Rooms could use a little updating
I loved my stay. Clean and comfortable room. Great location. The breakfast buffet was excellent! I would stay here again.
Good stay
Helpfull recepcionists and service
Ok,clean ,very helpful staff,n8ce bar area,quiet
Excelente ubicación y servicio
Solo estuvimos una noche; el personal del hotel fue muy atento, nos hicieron el check-in y nos ayudaron a encontrar servicio de transporte al aeropuerto en la madrugada! Servicio y acomodaciones recomendadas.
Good amenities but room was overlooking street and very noisy at night. Maybe hotel could install double glazing to windows. Great central location for shopping etc

Madrid
I used this hotel for a 1-week business trip. Good hotel and location very close to some green space to escape, bars and the city being a 30min walk, (up hill), but a bus route stops directly outside the hotel to avoid this.
Un buen hotel para pasar unos días en Madrid. Habitación muy cómoda.
Excellent !!!
Muy buen hotel con excelente servicio y localidad, aunque un poco ruidoso.
Well situated near to cafes, supermarkets, shopping and public transport.
I didn't like the scrambles eggs no taste ans sausages terrible but hotel great staff great rooms wonderful all superb it was just breakfast i didnt like
Cleaning service kept ignoring my do not disturb sign- It then, dissapeared. Service came in while I was sleeping to check fridge contents. Room wasn't cleaned every day
Excelente hotel, en una zona tranquila y cerca de centro comercial.
2 day business trip
Hotel a short taxi ride from the train station (8 Euro). Check in was quick, with the staff professional and speaking / understanding English well. The room was on the top floor, quiet and comfortable with good blackout curtains. Not sure the bed was the king size advertised, but very comfortable. Bathroom clean and with Bath & Shower. Included a disposable razor & toothbrush as well as the usual soaps/shampoo's. The area outside seemed safe, there were always taxi's available right outside. Also cafes and shops nearby (less than 2 minutes walk). Approx 25 min walk into the city centre through what seemed a reasonable area.
Not worth the cost.
The hotel was beautiful and staff very friendly. However, the walls are very thin so we were woken up a lot by conversations that guests were having in the rooms either side of ours. There was only 2 plug sockets in the entire room and they were difficult to get to. I just don’t think it’s worth the money I paid.
I did not like property at all, too many problems, no working phone, shower could not turn on, service desk (women) rude says they will take phone up go to my room asked maid for help only stayed ONE night told them not to bill for five nights too many problems, checked out at six am next day
This hotel is "ok" at best.
Not brilliant! They gave me my room jey and when I opened the door there were people in it already! The guy in reception was more keen to blame house keeping than apologise properly etc! In the next room the safe didnt work and the bath/shower was a bit grubby. Other than this it is well located with shops, supermarket etc all around it. I wouldve been more enthusiastic if reception had been more aplogetic and done somerhing like upgrade the room or get a free drink or something but see above. Blaming someone else was more important.
We liked the staff friendliness and willingness to help. Property is okay. Room was very hot. We thought the A/C was broken, but we were to tired to report it, we just wanted to go to bed. We checked out next day and were told they setup the a/c's to heater during winter. Our fault not to report it the night before. Overall hotel was fine.
This is a very nice hotel, room are nicely accommodated, mini bar in room, friendly staff, nice location, convenient to Madrid Rio, dining and stores.
Very good clean and nice staff
Bunch of noise all day
The location was great and staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good as well.
Unfortunately, because of Covid-19 I decided not to go to Madrid. I managed to change the flight date with easy Jet without extra fee but I got message from hotel PRAGA that they need some info from you - EXPEDIA to change/cancel my reservation. It is so frustrating as I lost money without my fault.
Good location and very clean. I really recomend the hotel. The only bad thing was that for breakfast they gave the same food all 6 days.
We’d probably stay again but needs improvement...
The staff was lovely. The thing we found uncomfortable was the constant noise, which is honestly a total shame. The walls are very thin and you can hear just a normal tone-voice conversation from your ‘neighbours’. You also hear Housekeeping shouting and being loud in the corridors from about 7am, so if you fancy to have a longer sleep that doesn’t help! It’s a shame because it’s a very central hotel but things like these put you off. It also would be very good if they refurbished the rooms/corridors as they are very dated - kind of 70’s/80’s design. We would probably stay again but it does need improvement...
This hotel is well- located I love the fact that the bus stop for no. 23 is right at the front door and there is a wonderful park just behind it. The breakfast buffet has a lot of variety. This hotel is popular with tourist groups. Don’t be surprised to see the lobby filled with people and luggages as they check in or out. The buffet line can take a while, too. Housekeeping comes by every morning to clean up the room.
Was a nice and pleasant stay at Praga. Nice staff and good comfortable room.
So unpleasant. Not worth for the money .never think staying there
very convenient for the centre with a bus stop straight outside
This hotel is very good value for money for the room and free wi-fi but offers little else other than a base. It is out of the city but in a useful place as the number 23 bus stops right outside and goes into Plaza Mayor and Mercado San Miguel. Front desk Staff not very welcoming or helpful but cleaners lovely.
Good location. Elegant Hotel. Best staff in a long time.
very nice staff, great buffet, convenient location.
Good value, comfortable and clean. Great location, lots of options for dining on the street and a bus ride away to major sights.
Great staff, friendly atmosphere.
Good Hotel
Great hotel
Reception were very friendly and helpful. The rooms could do with electric sockets near the beds.
The location (view) of the room was poor for the amount paid. The view was the roof of various buildings and people from the next condo drying clothes by hanging outside in the windows. This part was very poor. In the other hand, hotel staff were nice. Overall facility ok.
Bus and metro near. Supermarket across the road. 24 hour reception.
Very close to central Madrid, although located in the green areas along the river, perfect for morning run or stroll. The rooms are of good size, very comfortable and standard is high. Enjoyed breakfast in the large dining room. Friendly and helpful staff.
The staff and service was excellent. Fernando and everyone else were great. The hotel is pretty close to the metro, and bus lines are literally right outside.
I was not there long enough, I just spent the night there
Poor
No good
Location great. Staff great. Internet was very poor.
Not for a business traveler...
Hotel room on the 7th room had been renovated recently (I assume) and the king bed was comfortable. Window however could not be locked close, so emergency vehicles’ sirens came in loud and clear. While on the 7th floor everything was ok’ish, the issues started from the elevators. This hotel is crowded with charter travellers who arrive in big busses. Every morning the 2 elevators were too slow for my schedule, so I had to use stairs. And the lobby was crowded, and so was the breakfast room; there was a queue for BF every morning. Area is away from the tourist traps, but as it was in Madrid, there were many restaurants and super markets in close vicinity. Metro station was 10 min walk from the hotel. Parking in the garage was nice and easy. There was plenty of free space down there.
Room good Size clean perfect services Good breakfast Missed iron
It would be a good idea to have a iron and ironing board at the service desk since there is no such a service on weekends. Guests go to functions on weekends and need to iron their clothes. Simple thing can spoil your day!!!!!
Nice room, a lot of space and clean. Very good breakfast, several options. However at night was noisy, other guests were doing noise outside their rooms. The hotel is not too close to metro station, but there is a bus station in front of the hotel.
We arrived earlier and book an extra day checkin the hotel. We then had to checked out the next day so they could check us back in. This could have been handled better without requiring us to move our own luggages downstair and then moved back up to the same floor we were originally in.
Helpful staff. No kettle in rooms. Not convenient for winter. Room is reasonably size.
Great staff, clean rooms, easy access to city center, pillows not very comfy
Friendly staff but poor WIFI
Friendly staff and very helpful (I believe the person at the reception was Vanesa). The location is good and the hotel is comfortable. On the negative side, there were some refurbishing works at the hotel which were quite noisy. And the main issue was the poor WIFI connection.
It appeared that they had replaced the hallway carpet since my last stay. The bathroom was awkward with the door placement. The Expedia price for breakfast made it more convenient, although I usually walk a block to a pastry shop for coffee when I stay here. I’ll likely return.
Good place to stay clean rooms and service is nice. Walking distance to shops and restaurants
Good stay.
Room was good. No frills but clean and comfortable. One front desk gentleman was very helpful and spoke good English. Didnt connect with any of the others as I waited for him each time! Good coffee place right across the street. Not close to main attractions, however the bus stop is right outside the front door of the hotel. Also used the metro and the stop was a 15 minute walk away. Wifi worked well. The restaurant is pretty good. This hotel has a lot of tour groups stay. The hotel is in a neighborhood so fun to walk the street at night with local people. Grocery store a block away.
Easy access to city centre
With the bus stop right out the front made easy access to the city centre, area has some cafe's and supermarket next door, easy walk down to the river. Not so great at night time but hotel was great.
Luxury facilities at budget prices
it was a very good hotel. I was on an extended city break. The facilities were very good. Excellent transport into city center , bus, taxi and metro. The staff were very helpful and most could speak English. The rooms were well furnished and were well maintained by the room service.I would have no hesitation in going back to this hotel. In the area round about the hotel there were plenty of bars, diners and restaurants available
Great hotel in good location
I stayed for a week on business. The hotel staff coped well, even during busy times. My only (minor) complaint was that one of its four lifts was out of action, due to upgrading work. It's a 9 min walk to nearest metro station and 30 min walk to the city centre. Local area has lots of restaurants and shops, so plenty to do and a great base.
Bad room amenities
They claim to be 4 star but worst service. Rooms lacks basic coffee kettle, iron etc. worst experience
Desk attendants were extremely polite and helpful.
Overall good but a bit noisy in the early hours
Generally good but got a bit noisy in the early hours of the morning as there was a lot of banging
