Wow! A mini paradise that is close to everything you need, the hotel itself and grounds are wonderfully peaceful and idyllic. Staff are exceptional and we loved the themed days - the fruit at the tropical breakfast was a personal favourite. 11/10

Great service, attentive staff. A/C was a bit faint and stationed by the door, felt more like a unit. A smidge dated, but great otherwise. Didn’t like that the bathroom had a double sided mirror by the window, which seemed odd, so I covered it. The flusher for the toilet was odd and a bit hard to suppress. Great location walkable to town!

Amazing staff were super accommodating when we had an issue with our room, went out of their way to help resolve the issue. The rooftop with jacuzzi is incredible, has beautiful views of lake Garda. Loved the stay, rooms aren’t sound proof but was able to sleep well with ear plugs

Great friendly staff that are always available and nothing is too much trouble. Really enjoyed how the hotel has various different outside areas to unwind in so you are not always on top of other guests, gave a real exclusive feel

The hotel & staff were excellent. Hotel is well positioned for train and ferry links with a god variety of eating options within a short walk. Down side, the hotel is situated on a fairly busy road which can be noisy during the day. Overall a good hotel.

I stayed for two nights here as part of a week long trip through Italy. The town itself is beautiful and charming. The hotel was very nice, with large rooms, big bathrooms, and a nice private balcony. The breakfast spread was great and there are multiple areas you can sit in, including outside. I happened to be there when it was terrible weather - multiple days of rain and cooler than average weather. Therefore, I was unable to actually use any of the amenities. The pools and hot tub were not open. The rooftop terrace has an amazing view of the lake and surrounding mountains, however, I couldn’t enjoy it due to the weather. This is of course not the hotel’s fault but I was disappointed that I couldn’t enjoy the many amenities since they were a main reason that I chose this property. It is within reasonable walking distance of restaurants and stores and the train station is about a 20 minute walk. My one complaint is that there was a lot of street noise even with the windows closed. However, I enjoyed my stay and hope that I can return sometime to use the pools!

Great spot for tour around Garda Lake

We stayed only two nights but we really enjoyed the location and style of a hotel. Great service and very nice people around. The room was comfortable and clean. Only disadvantages were weak internet connection in the room and the elevator which should be renewed immediately.

We had a great stay at Piccola Vela, the hotel was excellent; we loved the property, the room, the breakfast. We had a great time cycling with the hotel´s bikes to Sirmione for lunch, and the staff was very accomodating to help us have a great time during out stay.

Francesco was able to accommodate our stay, he provided us with many tips. Francesco was very professional and knowledgeable. Great location only 10 minutes walk to city center and ferry station. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Great place to stay

This hotel is lovely. They have two pools with many chairs. We didn't have an issue getting seats. I don't think they were full, but based on the number, it seems likely that people could secure a chair for a few hours when they wanted. The rooms were nice - spacious. The bathrooms were nice (shower is on small side). The breakfast was part continental style with eggs/bacon to order. Overall, nice breakfast. My only complain was the bed was very firm.

It was tone of the best hotels I have stayed in whilst in Italy. The best and most comfortable bed. The view I had of Lake Garda exceeded my expectations. The breakfast buffet was abundant and fresh with a great variety of savoury and sweet . The waiting staff were friendly, always smiling and very respectful. This beautiful boutique hotel is a must if you are visiting Lake Garda. It provides a5 star service.

Amazing hotel & staff!

Hotel was amazing! Top notch rooms with a comfortable bed and view of Lake Garda from my balcony. Perfect location right across the street from the lake. Breakfast and dinner was outstanding! Nino, one of the waiters, has been working there for 30 years and loves his job and is extremely good at it! Best service, hands down! Will be coming back here again!

Relaxing trip and convenient location, walking distance to the centre of town and easy for exploring the lake. No car hire required - we did everything by train or boat Breakfast good, outdoor areas ok. Bar quiet best for a night cap.

Breakfast was really nice with lots of options, the lemon garden was really nice to relax, there are two swimming pools, and one jacuzzi. The hotel is close to the lake and the city center. Staff is really friendly and respectful. I would definitely go back to this hotel.

Perfect location just five minute stroll into the town centre , bus and boat stations in the centre of town . Stunning setting , beautiful grounds , pool was perfect had it to ourselves quite often . The hotel was spotlessly clean , staff were very friendly and spoke many languages . Very informative too. We arrived at night and the staff arranged for a meal for us on the terrace . Beautiful view of the pool and lake and a very tasty meal . The hotel provides a beach bag and towels for the pool which is a lovely touch . Lovely rooftop area with stunning views of the lake , didn’t use the jacuzzi as the weather was too hot . The continental breakfast was very good . We will be back so much more to see and do . We loved our stay at Piccolo Vela .

A lovely hotel just a few minutes walk into the town centre we were upgraded to a lake view room with balcony as there are room refurbs going on at the moment.Staff really nice and informative of the local area, we took advantage of the free bicycle rentals and cycled to Sirmione for the day. Top tip...try out the hot tub on the roof terrace to watch the sun go down over Lake Garda...absolutely stunning.

Beautiful view!

Our overall stay was wonderful and comfortable. We had trouble with no electricity and a fan continuously running the first night of our stay. The hotel management was quick to respond and get everything fixed completely. The front desk even made a follow up call an hour or so later to make sure all was ok! We had a wonderful room with a spacious porch with a view of Lake Garda

Superb hotel. Service is excellent and the pool/garden area is very relaxing. Breakfast was fantastic with a huge choice of food. Great location for the main town and train station.

Fabulous stay in a very cute, super friendly hotel. We travelled with friends, including 2 teenage boys, and from the cheerful welcome to the calling us a cab very early to save us the hilly albeit short trek to the station nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was vast, fresh and never ending in an idyllic setting. The pool was refreshing with plenty of sun beds and seating areas for all. The other guests were tolerant of our teenagers playing volleyball, splashing around and in the early evening there was a great vibe as we sipped pre dinner cocktails on the roof terrace. By night we even ventured to the rooftop jacuzzi. Would highly recommend (although I don’t really want to as I don’t want to share it!) 😊. Thanks Hotel Piccola Vela 😘

Great stay at an excellent hotel with first-class facilities for a holiday coinciding with our 30th wedding anniversary. Would thoroughly recommend Piccola Vela to anyone looking to stay in Desenzano as it only a short walk to the town centre and ferry to explore the southern end of Lake Garda.

Beautiful hotel to relax and enjoy

We stayed in this hotel for a week. From the moment of our first day to our last day we found the staff very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast by the pool in the morning was glorious. The hotel is a 5 min walk from the centre of the town and 15 min walk from the train station. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed 9 nights at this charming little hotel with excellent facilities and staff. Breakfast was great as was the grounds and swimming pools. Great lake view from hotel balcony. Only complaints where the small rooms as there was really no place to place our suit cases, especially if you wanted to unpack the contents. Also the internet connections in the rooms were spotty at the best. Besides that no complaints.

Great quality hotel

Family room was quite small but just about big enough. Great hotel with great service. A wonderful relaxing stay in a beautiful area. An easy and safe 5-10 min walk into the town. Would definitely stay there again.

Great hotel

a 30th wedding anniversary stay which was a super time and which was made special by staying at this hotel. Desenzano is a great place to base yourself and visit all the Lake Garda towns by ferry as well as direct trains to Verona and Venice. Great location close to town and ferry. Great staff, great breakfast and great place.

Excellent Hotel

This is a really pleasant, comfortable and welcoming hotel. The gardens to the rear are particularly tranquil and the entire grounds are beautifully maintained. The garden to the front where the pool is located is a little noisy during the day but the proximity to the main road is a blessing especially if you want to walk into the main town area of an evening.

Comfortable and friendly.

Perfectly located just outside the town, 10 minute walk to the ferries, 20 minutes and uphill to the railway station. Easily accessed from Verona Airport but the closeness to the ferry ports and station mean you can venture further abroad. The hotel has two pools, gardens and two roof terraces. Room 30 has a sizeable balcony with a partial lake view. Even though the hotel wasopular and at breakfast seemed full dor the fest of the day lying around the pool was quiet and peaceful. Would happily return.

Lovely friendly hotel

Stayed here for 5 nights in July with my husband and 2 children (11 and 13) in a family room (No. 49). Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel very clean and well cared for. Lovely gardens, especially the quiet rear garden with the lemon trees and vegetables/grapes being grown. Front garden contains the larger pool and although well landscaped is slightly noisy due to the main road, however that did not stop us from relaxing in and by the pool at any time as the road isn't that busy. Only had breakfast in the hotel but it was well presented, plentiful with a large selection of breads, fruit, meat, cheeses and pastries to choose from. Our room was at the back of the hotel - exceptionally quiet area which was great. The only slight issue was the hair drier - not very powerful but to be honest it was so hot I just let my hair dry naturally for a change. All in all we loved our stay here and would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to friends and family - in fact I already have.

Is an excellent hotel, from every perspective: Room size and facilities, hotel staff, breakfast, location, parking. Everything. Specially, a few minutes away from "Sirmione", the best place to visit in Garda.

Delightful, but erratic.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this hotel in Desanzano, and were pleased with the clean and reasonably sized room. Some things were a little erratic: sometimes coffee at breakfast was properly made, sometimes from a machine; aperitivo by the pool was delightful, but a bit hit and miss whether the barman remembered your order; blissfully quiet most of the time, but disturbing neighbours and late night piano playing on other occasions.

We loved our stay at Piccola Vela. Beautiful gardens front and back. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. They Our rooms were spacious and the bathrooms were sparkling. As with another reviewer's views we would stay there again without hesitation.

Fabulous service and location

We loved staying at Piccola Vela. The staff was very warm, helpful and accommodating. They had a lovely outside area in the back and a pool in the front. Our room was spacious enough for our belonging and the bathroom was well appointed. We also had a balcony with a view of Lake Garda. We would stay there again without any hesitation.

Convenient Location

We stayed only two nights during our Northern Italy Lakes trip at this Albergo. The location is convenient to the Ferry Boat terminal and driving around. The breakfast was good, the room was comfortable and the service was good. The price we paid was a bit high for this type of accommodation. I recommend shopping around for the best deals.

Great location to Desenzano main town.

We enjoyed our stay in Desenzano and a great base to visit Verona and other villages within Lake Garda. The hotel we felt was not 4 star.

Ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt Toller Service, nettes Personal, gutes Frühstück, schönes und sauberes Zimmer. Nette Kleinigkeit am Rande: Meine Frau hat sich über das schwarze Make-up Tuch im Badezimmer gefreut. (Zum abschminken) Das hat sie noch nicht oft in Hotels gesehen. Toll. Dazu zwei Pools, mindestens einer davon beheizt und überhaupt nichts zu meckern. Vielen Dank für einen schönen Aufenthalt. Die Lage ist auch wirklich gut. Nur einen Katzensprung von der Fußgängerzone und fast direkt am See. Nur von einer Straße getrennt.

Hotel excelente! Bem localizado ( 400m do Ferry que leva a todas localidades), ótimas opções para comer ( no Hotel - comida muito boa) e nas redondezas. Quarto confortável, banheiro bom ( chuveiro era fraco no 3 andar - sem pressão forte). Café da manhã bom e excelente estacionamento! Funcionários cortezes!

Viikon loma Gardalla tyttären kanssa. Hotelli todella kaunis, harmi vain osa palvelusta oli hieman töykeää ( aamupala ja siivouspalvelut loistavia). Olimme juhlistamassa tyttäreni syntymäpäivää ja mainitsin tästä etukäteen sähköpostitse, olisi ollut mukava jos tämä olisi muistettu jolloin pienellä eleellä. Huoneen ilmastointi lakkasi toimista pariksi päivää ja koin, ettei minua oikein uskottu kun kerroin sen toimimattomuudesta.

Flott hotell med veldig serviceinnstilte medarbeidere. Gode senger, fine rom, deilig frokost. Store fellesarealer/ bibliotek, hvor vi kunne sitte og prate/spille om kveldene. Ekstra fint å låne sykler på hotellet. Vi hadde litt dårlig vær, så fikk ikke brukt bassengområdet. Hadde forventet større uteareal/ basseng ut i fra bildene, men helt tilfredsstillende. Flott utgangspunkt for turer til andre steder ved Gardasjøen. Toget stopper også her i byen. Kommer gjerne tilbake.

Great place for mini-vacation

Great staff. If you like good breakfast, you have plenty to choose from bacon and eggs to sweet bakery and various fresh fruits. The noise from the street and lack of lake view from lower lewels a minus, but the nice walking way beside the lake starts close to the hotel.
