Quick trip to Granada. Convenient location
Inconsistent Staff Hospitality
The property itself is beautiful, and most of the staff were kind and accommodating. However, my experience with Nadine was less than ideal. While I noticed her being exceptionally pleasant and kind to my friend during checkout, my interaction with her was quite different. She seemed standoffish and didn’t inquire about my stay or show the same warmth. This inconsistency in her demeanor was disappointing
Beautiful property in an old monastery.
Beautiful Hotel
Lovely Boutique Hotel; quite unique like most of the Autograph Collection Hotels. Food was delicious, service wonderful.
We LOVED everything about this hotel. Perfect location, excellent service, super clean and beautiful building.
The WiFi sucks...it takes a long time to get any internet connection and is very annoying. There's not a lot surrounding the hotel for restaurants, etc. and it pretty far away from the town center with no transportation options except for cabs, Uber.
I based all my stays on people’s comments so I will do the same for future travelers. This hotels courtyard was one of the nicest I’ve seen, it was clean and very convenient location, about a 25 minute walk to Alhambra. I chose 5 star hotels for all my stays and to be honest the rooms where not 5 stars, but I think it was 5 star for Granada standards, there are no super high end hotels in this city so based on location it was a 5 star. The staff was great and helpful and overall I would recommend you staying here if you want to see Granada and the Alhambra. Would also highly recommend going to the St Nichilas street at the top and having dinner at the restaurants facing the Alhambra at night.hope this helps.
Very good location! Beautiful property!
Book here and you’re staying in a piece of Granada’s history as well as a superb hotel in terms of cleanliness, comfort, aesthetics, and location!
Gave me a weird feeling.
Surprising elegance!
Entrance on busy street belies a beautiful and charming hotel with a gorgeous courtyard and spacious rooms. Service is exceptional.
I would rate it about a 3-star property. Rooms are small, coffee maker didn’t work, shower didn’t keep water off the bathroom floor. Service was polite. Low value for money.
Gorgeous accommodations, super friendly and welcoming staff that go above and beyond already high expectations.
A peaceful courtyard and great service
Good hotel in the heart of Granada. This hotel has a beautiful courtyard that used to be a small cloister of a convent compete with gravestones. The Bar is wonderfully decorated with portraits of monks. The rooms are nicely appointed, with very comfortable beds. The staff at every level is very attentive.
Great hotel
This hotel is a must if you go to Granada. It couldn’t be better located if they tried. The food and shopping around was beyond close and amazing, especially the food! The hotel is beyond impressive and historically phenomenal. The staff is beyond helpful and gracious and the rooms are perfect. Highly recommend, 10/10.
Best hotel in Granada
Incredible place to rest our heads. Upgrades to a junior suite and couldn’t have been happier.
Excellent bed and temperature control, immaculately clean, great atmosphere, very helpful and professional staff. Natasha on the front desk is fantastic.
The staff was extremely helpful, friendly and courteous. The restaurant is excellent, really one of the best in Granada. We will definitely return next time we visit.
Horrible hotel
Horrible hotel and service We were given a much inferior room than we had booked because of the EU SUMMIT and politicians staying at this stupid hotel . So they had closed off the nice section of the hotel and rooms for the politicians and gave us a much inferior room than we had paid for and would refuse to process a refund.
The hotel is not worthy off his 5 star rating
Friendly and professional staff
The hotel is well located, clean and staff is nice. Rooms, specially bathrooms, deserve a renovation.
Just fantastic!
Lovely hotel, staff very helpful and friendly, they dealt with an issue with our first room quickly and incredibly well
The staff was super friendly and helpful, the courtyard was wonderful for dining or just a drink. A wonderful space to unwind at the end of the day.
Can’t wait to return after the reformation
Excellent location. Great staff. Very clean. Perfect for a short stay
Great service, beautiful historic property. Mix of old with modern facilities. Busy outside in middle of city but quiet inside.
Truly a beautiful stay. The staff were all incredibly helpful and accommodating, the room was comfortable and the entire hotel is beautiful. Location is great for exploring Granada on foot!
Very nice hotel in a historic building (convent among other things). Comfortable room and good onsite restaurant for breakfast or dinner. Concierge is attentive but be aware the "self-parking" is really valet. Pull in front of the hotel directly and they will park your car. Also, it wasn't clear until we were there, but driving in the historic area (where the hotel is) is restricted to locals and hotel guests. If you aren't planning on parking at the the hotel, you'll need to be careful where you drive.
the hotel seemed a bit "dated".the rooms in need of upgrade, the common areas were better.
Excellent location, beautiful property. Rooms need to be renovated.
We spent seven days during “Noche Vieja”’ Rooms are neat, the staff is always doing their best snd the city is unique. I had stayed there 17 years ago and my recollection was accurate. Strongly recommend the hotel.
I dont have enough words to express how amazing this place is. The staff is excellent and the cleanliness of the hotel is impeccable. The building itself is beautiful. The food is to die for. I loved loved loved my stay here. You wont be disappointed.
No sunlight comes into the room; very dark. The heater did not work, coffee maker did not work. Downstairs room lot of noise around room
Staff wasn’t that friendly. Hotel was very nice but very expensive.
Convenient
You get what you pay for.. got misled by other reviews.. its in a not so good neighborhood.. rooms are tiny and you can hear ppl in next room speaking or using the ret room. no shuttle or coffee machine.. stay away if you are with family..
A great stay. The only complaint was how dark the room was. One very small frosted window and a very odd shaped room with difficult to find light switches.
Very clean, great breakfast, very helpful staff, great location!
Great location, VIP treatment, and very thoughtful staff! Breakfast could use some improvement and the hotel has no pool.
Staff very nice and professional Cordial and polite and helpful
Stinky!
Our room smelled awful! Guess it was very old plumbing… we were “upgraded” to the historic side of the hotel. All the common areas of the hotel were wonderfully scented so why don’t they do that for the guest rooms?
.
Everything was fine
The feel of old Granada in an updated facility
We had a fantastic stay at Casa Del Poeta Triana Suites. Ana at the Reception was extremely helpful, courteous and accommodating. The apartment was superb, well designed & clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped with all the amenities. Breakfast was excellent and delivered daily to the apartment. Located, walking distance and just a bridge away from the center of Seville and from all the important monuments. Would highly recommend this apartment to all those looking for a lovely, quiet and spacious apartment a few minutes from the center.
Very peaceful and staff amazing
Excellent location. Easy to navigate around the city. Excellent bed and bathtub which is often not the case while traveling in Europe
Noisie and dated - nothing like pictures
First it's nice for they to allow me to check in earlier at little pass noon. But if this is a nice hotel then I was certainly given a bad room, which is next to the elevator and also windows to the major street. The noise just from both inside and outside. The room also looks a little dated. I did my research and was hoping this is a nice hotel but not at all a five star. I saw none of the characters or charm from the photos, which was the reason I booked it in the first place because I don't want to stay in a super modern hotel in Granada this time. A major let down
Great Location in the City Center close to the action but not into it . The staff was very friendly and always willing to help . I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Granada .
Great hotel and location
Muy bien localizado. Amplias habitaciones. Excelente servicio
Very enjoyable hotel Beautiful ambience around the Old Convent Cloisters Extremely friendly helpful staff
I was a little unimpressed with the service at Breakfast, the bar, and the front desk which misled us about breakfast. For a nice hotel it felt lacking in some ways. Also we asked to book 1 breakfast and they charged us for both days which added 30 euros to the stay. Felt a bit cheap to cheat us over such a small amount.
A pleasant stay in Granada
Upon my arrival, I stayed in a “standard room” on the 5th floor. It was clean & comfortable. When my amigos arrived, I transferred to a room in the former “convent section.” Other than a couple of different architectural details, my room was basically the same layout & furnishings. The reception staff was friendly & helpful. Breakfast was good. The location was central & easy to get around by foot, or by taxi.
The property was beautiful and clean and well located
Excellent location excellent hotel great experience
Ask for a Room in the Convent Section
Ended up at Hotel Palacio through a happy accident. Our original choice got shut down due to COVID issues. Absolutely loved this hotel. Walkable distance to upscale shopping, lots of restaurants, and El Corte Ingles (the huge department store with a full supermarket inside for stocking your room). Our room was in the converted convent, so our room had rafters and a very high ceiling. You stepped down into the room, which had a comfy bed and charming details like plantation shutters. I've never stayed in a room like this in an upscale hotel, so I was utterly smitten. Usually you get the generic hotel room, but this was exceptional. Also had a huge tub in the step-up bathroom. We also walked 2 blocks over to the lavanderia to do our laundry mid-point in the trip, so that's close by if needed. The tourist bus stop is also close, so aces all around. Highly recommend.
Charming hotel - bathroom style over substance Would recomment
land room and lobby of autograph collection hotel
The hotel is sold as a palace converted to a hotel but the room is allotted in the new wing where the palace part is not even visible . The rates are very high but there is no evidence of autograph collection. The lobby is extremely bland without any hint of a palace. I would have been happier to book other properties available at half the rates
A lovely hotel. At ground level, the steet appearance of the hotel is underwhelming. As the official picture shows, above ground level, there is a hint to the building that lies behind. The former convent building is beautiful and certainly our room was excellent in all regards. If I were to make criticisms (minor), it was firstly that the sound proffing between rooms appeared not to be the best. It could well be that the people next to us were particularly loud, however. Secondly, it would be nice if the TV had english-speaking channels other than Russia Today and CNBC.
It is so close to everything and especially with the restaurants and the facility is amazing and the way its preserved and we really enjoyed our stay.
Read between the lines historical may mean shabby
When registering at the hotel the middle age guy told us he was upgrading us to Room 007. (He sold it as if we had hit the jackpot) I naturally thought how can you go wrong with James Bond’s number. The room was in the oldest part of the hotel, on the lower level. It was a very nice room, until I realized that there was no window to look out of. The hotel had placed a translucent film on the glass to ensure privacy from the public courtyard. The half circle at the top of the window was transparent and allowed people to look into the room from the upper corridor. Naturally I went back to registration and thankfully spoke to another person (female) who was very accommodating and new about the infamous room 007 and placed us in room 135. Nice room, window to a side street. The toilet was leaking and so at night, I had to use ear plugs in a 5 star hotel. Okay, so the website says it’s a 5 star hotel. I agree that it’s a 5 star out of 10 stars hotel. The old (historical) part is shabby and very outdated. It’s in desperate need of a remodel. The Alhambra tour was the highlight of the trip. It’s interesting because this hotel is part of the Autograph Collection Hotels. (Marriott Group) We are now staying at another Autograph Collection hotel called the Cotton Hotel in Barcelona and it’s spectacular and is a 5 out 5 stars.
Pros: Historic structure, which reflected in the layout of the rooms. Very comfortable bed. Spacious and charming bathroom. Cons: Free WIFI was very spotty, only news channels available in English.
Amazing Hotel
Amazing Hotel. Great staff, very good service overall. Good room size and very clean. Hotel patio was amazing for some drinks and relaxing. Very confortable bed. Location is excellent. Very quiet area but very centrally located. You can walk anywhere. Can't wait to go back to Granada and will definitely stay at this hotel.
Considering this is an old building with style and the perfect location it was in, I think it is perfect for tourists on a short stay in Granada. It could have been better, since we did encounter a hand towel that smelled extremely bad and the double bed was made of two single beds merged together. But overall these are small issues that can be fixed I believe and I do recommend this hotel to others
The hotel is very convenient to the Cathedral and Royal Chapel, and the bus stop to Alhambra is across the street. The hotel is quiet and very comfortable.
Everything perfect Gave us wrong room but they were nice enough and professional to give free parking, To make up their mistake. Parking easy , staff nice and accommodating, breakfast DELISH and beautiful courtyard. Hotel rooms unique and nicely decorated.
Excellent restaurant! We did the tasting menu and it was phenomenal.
Lovely downstairs, poor room and service up there.
The downstairs reception area is rather bland, nobody helped us in with luggage as there was only one person on reception, a lady called Emma who was very friendly. There was an issue with our bill which she told me had not been paid even though we had in advance and nobody came back to confirm until I chased it up four days later. This is a hotel of 2 halves. The room is in considerable need of renovation as it is not only small but has bouncy laminate floors. Service left a lot to be desired, as cups were not washed, milk cartons were not replaced, bins not emptied and there are no plugs for the sinks because apparently they keep getting stolen, so we had to ask for one so I could shave. The downstairs is the other half and is quite magnificent and beautiful. This is the courtyard and dining room which are 16th century, magnificent and attended by excellent staff, we even ate two dinners here, taking the Mercado market menu which was obviously good enough to repeat a second night. Five star? Not a chance. 4+ for the courtyard, breakfast and dinner and three staff for the room. Not the usual Autograph standard.
This is one of the most wonderful experiences I have ever had at a hotel. The hotel was just exquisite with every detail of the converted 17th convent restored. Such a beautiful, magical place just steps from the CATHEDRAL. Couldn't;t have had a better experience.
Historical property refurbished at a high standard, location at the city centre.
Great stay in Granada
Wonderful city center location. Walk to restaurants, shopping, historical places other than l’Ahambra. For that you take a bus or taxi up the hill just a few minutes away. The city is vibrant, full of students, shops and charm.
The location was great. The room was clean and the service was very good. We had a car, which was the only problem area. The hotel is on a street where the lane in front of the hotel is only for buses and taxis and there is no other lane in that direction. We drove by until we recognized the hotel. I jumped out of the car to go find out about parking. I was told that we could pull into a space on the sidewalk in front and someone would park the car. In the meantime, my husband was lost driving around behind the hotel. He finally found his way back with the help of a guy on a motorbike. The hotel was a convent and the breakfast is in lower level next to the cloisters. We expected a buffet since it was a set price of €21. It was not and we thought pretty expensive for what you got.
Great location. Clean; good bed, shower/bath & linens. Unusual, served breakfast (rather than buffet). Americans will appreciate the wash cloths!
A stunning hotel in a brilliant spot in Granada. The rooms were beautiful and they even supply Molton Brown toiletries!
Local ambience with modern amenities
Beautiful hotel with historic tile designs, beautiful interior courtyard, and all the modern conveniences you want. Valet Park was very convenient. Location, rooms, and stuff superb. I would stay here again. Breakfast was a little pricey, but if you want to skip that you can take a coffee and croissant ”al bar” at one of the many nearby café for about €2.5 per person. Best hotel I’ve stayed at in a while.
Location is great and room is clean with model bathroom
Nice hotel in hood location. Wish they had at least one English speaking TV channel
Excellent rooms. Great custom service. Can be loud
We booked a courtyard room which is a beautiful room that over looks the courtyard(a sight to see). This was great and quiet until our last night, we didn't realize there is a rental party room right across the courtyard on our floor. It was insanely loud in our room because of this. The customer service was excellent and they did their best to repair the situation but ultimately had move us to a differenr room. If they had been booked 100% and unable to move us it would have been a miserable night.
Great location and amazing historical building with wonderful service! What more can I ask! :)
Very old and not comfortable hotel Not updated I will not recommend this place
nice stay
One of the most amazing hotels I stayed in. Only disadvantage was the wifi signal does not reach my room. I did not have wifi in my room. only in lobby.
Best hotel - but poor checkin. Still great place
Full on 5* experience once we had the rooms. Fully recommended
Nice hotel in a great location. Great service. Room facing courtyard isn’t great: noise from courtyard, small window that’s not private, lots of stairs makes handling bags a challenge.
I loved everything about the place, but the bed was a bit too firm for my liking. I woke up with back pain.
Great location and stay
This is a five star hotel in most ways, the old building is amazing and the location is ideal to walk one block to the shopping streets and close to the cathedral. We just felt that we had to drag information our of them eg maps etc. the welcome was Ok but we had to drag tourist information out of them. Ok we do not speak Spanish but with an international brand hotel there should be English speaking people and brochures made available in English. In the rooms there was no information boast what facilities were available at the hotel , we had to keep asking at reception. Eventually one of the staff did offer to help me to buy tickets to go to the Alhambra. She also very kindly organised a taxi to take us to the Alhambra for opening time, then a driver to collect our luggage and then pick us up at the Alhambra to take us direct to the airport. We had an amazing time in Granada and would love to visit again. For those who wish to get tickets to the Alhambra, if you do not want to see the Nasrid Palaces, but do what to see the rest you can but tickets for 7 euros on line and you are not locked into a time. The times and availability are for those who want to see the Alhambra do the Palaces.
Very nice hotel In the middle of Granada Wonderful and helpful staff You would not regret it. Staying there
Great hotel.
Great rooms and super attentive staff. The courtyard was an amazing place to sit and relax. Hotel was in perfect location.
Right in the heart of Granada
Every aspect of our stay at the Hotel Palacio was wonderful. The staff was friendly and efficient. I particularly liked the evening chocolate check-in; it was charming. The room was clean and comfortable.
Beautiful & Vintage
Loved the Architecture, staff, cleanness, furniture, restaurant...great and friendly staff...
Great hotel and helpful staff
Hotel is in an excellent position and the rooms are very comfortable. Buffet breakfast was really good with freshly cooked bacon eggs sausages and pancakes. Hotel has lots of interesting features and the staff are very helpful giving us good information about getting Alhambra Palace tickets. Would definetly stay here again.
Very nice hotel in the city center
Great hotel in the city center close to most tourist attractions and interesting neighborhoods. Highly recommend. Would stay here again.
Granada
Great hotel, convenient location, clean, spacious, comfortable. Lots of amenities. The only hotel in Spain that we stayed in that had tissues - I know it sounds silly- but! Also I notice many people comment about the price of breakfasts at Spanish hotels - and yes they are usually way over priced, but the Spanish don't eat breakfast like we do. So go out and find a little Spanish place where you can get the typical breakfast of bread, tomatoes and ham with a coffee - it will set you back about 4 euros - and that's probably with 2 coffees! staff here was gracious and helpful. We would definitely return here.
Nice hotel in a convenient location.
Very comfortable hotel within walking distance to much of what we wanted to do in Granada.
Luxury in the center of Granada
Very posh hotel in the center of Granada, close to all the tourist sites. Very nice room too, although lighting in the bathroom was terrible for trying to put on makeup.
Beautiful old world stay with some service challen
The property is beautiful. The room historic and comfortable with fabulous bathroom. We had an amazing dinner at the restaurant. The service and professionalism of the waitresses was spot on. Only down side was drinks and bar service. Patio area for drinks was very understaffed and they did not know the liquor they had available. We waited 15 minutes for first drinks and after waiting 20 minutes for additional service, we went inside bar. The bar was poorly equipped. They ran out of three vodka brands and one scotch.
Fabulous service, outstanding advice and charming staff
