Overall it was ok…needs more staff!

Great location for the Vatican

The property is in a safe area, very close to Vatican Musei.

Friendly staff, clean room and convenient walk to Vatican City.

Two things that I didn't like: first we didn't get daily room cleanup. We had to ask 3 times for soap and clean towels. tice they came to our room at 4 pm for clean up, when we were in the room taking a a rest from walking Rome. The very VERY BAD thing is parking. They do not have parking. We rented a car to take a trip outside rome, to find out the next morning that our car was blocked in the garage. We were forced to cancel the trip and off course, wasted 240 Euros on a rental car we couldn't use. They didn't charge me the 30 Euros for the parking, but who's going to refund me for a rental car I wasn't allowed to use because they blocked me in (by some of the hotel staff or guests)?? DO NOT PARK THERE. They don't have a parking, Expedia needs to remove that from the description

Fantastic staff, rooms were excellent, very clean, close to everything. I really enjoyed staying there, I highly recommend. The Vatican is a 5 min walk, and La Pasticciotteria (the best espresso in Italy) is just 2 blocks away.

We had an excellent time. The hotel was lovely. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was wonderful and set us off to have several wonderful days.

The Hotel Ottaviano Augusto is fantastic. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and always willing to help. I was treated very politely and respectfully. They answered all of my questions and they gave me directions. I want to express my gratitude to Romeo and Marco for their assistance. My room was clean and comfortable. The food at the Hotel is delicious with many options in the buffet. The location is very good and close to many historical sites. The Vatican Museum is within 10min walking distance.

Staff was great.

The property is off the beaten path which I enjoyed. It’s small and comfortable with a good selection for breakfast. Loved how close it was to the Vatican, the train, restaurants and shopping. The only thing that I didn’t like was the small shower.

The Hotel is situated just perfect for for a15-20 minutes walk to the Vatican. Along that roads there are a lot of restaurants, and small stores, bakeries. fast foods. It's safe to walk at night.

Wonderful staff close to historic center ..restaurants and cafés

Great people ,very good skills front desk ,whole staff is very friendly, breakfast so delicious .Whole team work nice and solid, definitely recommend for everyone 10 from 10 .Thank you very much guys. See you around.

Great customer service

Visited from from United States for a cruise and stayed the one night it was clean and convince for us to tour the Vatican, staff was very nice helped in getting transportation to cruise port

The breakfast was wonderful and the housekeeper was so sweet and nice and did an excellent job. The front desk assistant was wonderful and offered me a bottle of cold water and carried my luggage down. I definitely recommend this place to stay.

The reception staff Roman and all others extended service with smile and compassion. They are definitely a valuable asset to your hotel. Our wholehearted thanks to all of them including the breakfast room staff.

I thought that the hotel was located in a convenient part of town, near Vatican City. Everyone was so friendly, and the breakfast buffet was delicious!

The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were not fancy but they were spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was phenomenal, the staff was accommodating and polite. We will definitely stay here again.

Overall very pleasant experience at the hotel. Friendly reception, clean room, and great location—everything within walking distance, never needed other transportation to explore. Would’ve liked to have a small fridge in the room (there was only a mini bar fridge which was already full). Thank you!

Amazing Breakfast

Breakfast Amazing Only concern, room with 2 single beds. Not Double Bed available. But was ok. Customer service is the best. Helped us to pick us up in Civitavecchia Port. And coordinated the Transfer to the Airport. Everything smooth.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. The breakfast was outstanding and rooms were clean and practical. Great location with public transportation, dining and shopping options close by. Definitely would recommend, best accommodation we had stayed at in Italy.

Very nice hotel close to Vatican City

All in all I had a very nice stay and if one day I come back to Rome, I will definitely consider Ottaviano Augusto. Good location, close to Vatican and easy to reach by public transportation. Very welcoming staff. Nice breakfast, with lots of choices.

The staff was very friendly and helpful , made me feel welcomed. Very clean hotel. Perfect for visiting the vatican city and surrounding attractions.

Marco was superb! He was helpful and courteous. As well as the guy at the reception desk named Vladevev I think. Luggage storage is also convenient.

Très bon moment passé à Rome

L'hôtel est très bien placé, accessible rapidement à tout les lieux touristiques. Tout était parfait sauf quelques détails : - le menage n'était pas effectué tout les jours. J'imagine que cela est dû à un oubli. - l'isolation n'est pas très bien. On entendait notre voisin de chambre faire pipi debout et tirer la chasse d'eau. Très désagréable. Sinon, quelques points positifs: - lieu idéal - métro à proximité - hôtel propre - les personnes à la réception sont très serviables - le petit déjeuner est sympa, mais il pourrait être meilleur Malgré tout, nous avons passé un très bon moment à Rome et dans l'hôtel.

I could travel easily to the Vatican, Ancient Rome and to the Italian Open. The staff are nice. And the front desk very helpful. The breakfast is amazing!!!

Over 10 stays in Rome in the last 10 years. The best hotel we have ever found in the city. Super friendly staff. Great customer service. Big clean and modern rooms. Comfy beds. Great breakfast. 24 hour reception. Plus we love to stay round the Vatican. Go across the street for great coffee too. We’ve finally found an exceptional hotel in Rome (it’s harder than you think!). Can’t wait to return.

Great quite, large room location esp for early start of Vatican tours. Marco and team are great. Great breakfast at hotel (also dining) and we loved pizza and gelato places close by

Muy limpio y el personal muy atento

What impressed me most was the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff. They would go out of their way, cheerfully, to satisfy a request. If you want to explore the vatican, this is the place to be, and I used the subway to get around which is closeby. Not the Ritz, but my single room was comfortable, and the package I bought included a free breakfast, suited to all tastes. I recommend this hotel strongly

A hotel in a church building. Or next to.

A nice hotel in a quiet church area of Rome near the Vatican. There's nuns in a different part of the building or area and can see them walking around to work or prayers in the morning. I think it's a church next door in the same building. A holy site and the holy Spirit is there. You can feel it. Not a party place. Restful. Good breakfast. Good front desk people. Understanding...

A special place to stay with calm

I found the hotel was a part of a magnificent church. Super clean, quiet, very kind staff, and precious breakfast. I could have a special time and feel an extraordinary calm here.

Nos alojamos solo una noche en habitación doble con camas twin. La habitación estaba impecablemente limpia. El hotel ofrece lo necesario para una buena recorrida recorrida por Roma. Si bien está algo alejado de la zona céntrica, ello no resulta inconveniente. El desayuno y sobre todo la atención del staff en general fue muy buena y amena.

It was very cozy and home like. Great breakfast. Extremely helpful reception staff who replied to emails very promptly and arranged a shuttle from the airport for me.

It was a lovely place, however the WiFi was broken for most of our stay. Also we requested a taxi to depart and we could not get one and had to take the subway with heavy luggage. The location was somewhat far out of the center of The city.

Perfect for a quick one night stay

Very peaceful and quiet area in Rome if you’re looking to be a little bit away from all of the tourism areas! 10 minute walk from the metro stop Ottaviano and 2 minutes away from a bus stop. The staff was so friendly and kind, and really made me feel welcomed. The breakfast spread was AMAZING. My room was clean and tidy, everything was very comfortable. Thank you for everything, I will definitely stay again the next time I am in Rome!

One of hanged pictures at the head of the beds dropped down and almost hit my wife’s head. Because of that we did check out one day before our planned check out date. Hope there is a refund for the night we did not stay. Everything else is great!

Nice staff Clean Close to metro Quiet

The area is quiet and residential, but really close to bus stops, restaurants, grocery store, etc. The nearest subway station is less than 10 minutes away, and close to the subway was every possible business you might need - phone store, bank, beauty salon, etc. The staff were all very polite and helpful, and available all the time. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The included breakfast buffet was very nice, with lots of options. The dinner at the hotel restaurant wasn’t great compared to the restaurants everywhere else in Rome, but it was convenient and affordable for days when you can’t manage to go out. There is a church right next to the hotel but I didn’t find it distracting or loud. I would highly recommend this hotel.

It's a wonderful little hotel in walking distance to Vatican and easy access to metro and bus. Facilities are clean. Staff is very helpful and despite my lack of Italian I was able to communicate easily.

Hotel was clean with good menu options. It is close to two metro station and bus stops, also a short walk to the Vatican Museum, St Peter’s Square. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Buon Hotel

Con mia sorpresa ho scoperto di esserci già stato una ventina di anni fa quando all'epoca era gestita da suore oggi a loro è rimasta solo la proprietà...L'hotel si trova nel quartiere Prati abbastanza vicino al Vaticano ed allo shopping romano, la struttura dell'hotel è particolare la mia stanza la 102 ampia tattandosi di una tripla ma basica nel senso che l'arredamento è vecchiotto e la tv è situata sulla parete in un posto scomodo per guardarla, il bagno giusto anche se la doccia è piccolina..la carta da parati della stanza è da eliminare subito vecchia e logora (ma ci sono lavori in corso speriamo bene)..ristorante ottima la cucina tradizionale ed i prezzi mentre la colazione è scarsa in qualità non in quantità...la pulizia delle stanze è da riorganizzare non si possono pulire le camere (almeno la mia) alle 15;45... comunque buon hotel..gentilezza e cortesia di tutto il personale..

Fairly new hotel near the Vatican. Big rooms, plenty of dining choises near by and a good breakfast. Very good value for money.

Property was clean but rooms very different from website pictures. VERY VERY noisy. Room next dooor had TV blaribg until 03:30 am

Short stay in Rome

A very pleasant hotel. Attached to a beautiful church. Very friendly staff, who were very willing to help. I booked a double room, but this was two single beds placed together - had to learn these parted! Apart from the above, a very lovely stay. Many thanks.

Nothing fancy but very clean, very friendly and helpful staff and perfectly located

We had a great family room with two adjoining bedrooms and one bathroom.

Very expensive hotel for the low quality it has, the bathtub is extremely small and uncomfortable, the locks on the doors are old and do not work well, my daughter was trapped inside the bathroom because the locks did not work well.

I stayed at this property for seven nights. The breakfast buffet was good, however, the offerings are the same every day. This hotel also has a restaurant with limited hours for lunch and dinner. I took advantage of the room service a couple of times when I did not feel like leaving the hotel. There is also basic seating in the restaurant, nothing fancy. The front desk staff are very helpful. Many times, they called and got a taxi for me. This hotel has only been open since January, however, the rooms are not new. The location is on the east side of a church. I did not ask, but it is possible that these rooms were once used as a convent. Is about a good 20 minute walk to Vatican City and a taxi ride to the Colosseum and other Rome attractions.

The staff here are fabulous! The front desk was friendly and helpful with my numerous questions, and the restaurant staff were very attentive. The hotel was clean and quite, and a great location - walking distance to the metro, shopping and restaurants.

This was such a hidden gem. Close to quite a few things like the Vatican the Tiber River. Still far enough away from the super busy Collesium area that it didn't feel overly tourist trappy. The staff were amazing! One of the kitchen ladies only spoke a little english but was sooo sweet. We started referred to her as our Italian Momma while we were there. I don't plan on being in Rome again anytime soon but would DEFINITELY stay here again!
