Perfect location. Great staff and great value for money.
Very helpful staff. Spacious room and a working stovetop. The window was broken in the bathroom, so was the towel holder. There were long blond hairs in both the batheroom floor and on the main floor, also on the towel. The bed was good though and a lot of extra bedding is provided. The showere is large, even if the window is broken. Please be aware that Hotel Opera has no lift and there is a flight of stairs to navigate.
Rooms need improvement
Great place if you can handle a flight of stairs with luggage and no elevator. The location is great, and there was a live band playing in the plaza the night we stayed there. There is a pleasant lounge off to the side, and cake, coffee, and bread that you can toast.
Very conveniently placed for walking to shops, bars, beach. Clean, safe and friendly staff
Really picturesque location with balcony out onto the square with an amazing church in full view. Located near restaurants etc. I stayed on a Friday evening & some of the bars could be heard playing live music. Which wasn’t overly bad but I had to be up & travelling to the airport at 5 am. Staff are excellent & cannot do enough for you. Reception staff ordered my taxi to the airport & knocked on my door to tell me it had arrived. It cost €25 to get to the airport.
Ideal for 2 guests
Polite staff, very clean rooms and ideal location. The main beds were very comfortable, but the extra bed was terrible to sleep on, the mattress was very thin. If you're planning for 2 people however, the hotel is perfect
A simple hotel with the perfect location. Nothing fancy but clean, quiet and a warm welcome.
This is a hidden gem! Very clean and cozy. The staff was really helpful and friendly. It’s very easy to get to by bus and very close walking distance to lots of shopping, the beach, the castle, the finikoudes, and across the street from the Church of St. Lazarus. If you’re looking for a great base of operations and don’t need a ton of extras or frills, this is the place to go. If we return to Larnaca, we’ll definitely be coming back. For anyone Jewish, it’s also a five minute walk from Chabad and they have real keys.
I used to love this hotel because of its location and its simplicity but this time it was well below expectations and way too simple for the price they charge per night! No tissue box in room, no cup for toothbrushes (broken), pillows very thin and uncomfortable. Sofa bed very noisy, squeaky and uncomfortable, hairdryer not working. Hight price for the low value delivered! Will not go there again.
A big room with a much needed well functioning aircon. Very helpful staff. Fantastic location, and yet it wasn't noisy. The room had a fridge which was great.
The whole experience with Hotel Opera was very unpleasant. We were waiting for 20 mins without anyone at the front desk. The lady wasn’t friendly when she finally showed up. With another man who might be her boyfriend (although that’s speculation they arrived together). She claimed that she was checking someone else in, but it took her sub-1min to walk us to our room so 20 min seems excessive. Not to mention it’s a small hotel and we walked the halls calling for help, rang the front buzzer several times, and called the number provided up front. I don’t know what she was up to, but definitely not available. We told her we were tired and ready for the room. Room condition was very sad. Dirty bathroom and the place was very dated. AC wasn’t even cold and the space was quite cramped. When we checked out the front desk didn’t even greet us or ask about our stay. I wouldn’t recommend place because we felt unwelcome and the hotel itself is very dated. We actually got more attention and welcome from our shuttle pick up for our rental car who offered lots of advice for places to visit, eat, etc. We didn’t get anything like that from this hotel. The only thing they had going for them is 1) fair amount of gravel parking beside hotel 2) close to restaurants and souvenir shops. But even with these I wouldn’t recommend
The location of the property was excellent, it was about a 3 minute walk to the beach front. Cafe and restaurants next to the hotel.super clean place . Help yourself to a light breakfast. One of the receptionists was from Bulgaria she was extremely helpful and polite . I will definitely be back again
Great value hotel and great staff
Such a nice hotel and best location
Best location in Larnaca. Such a cozy sweet hotel. Best part is the view and very sweet balcony in the room. Great service l, very fast and easy check in. Nice coffee place in the loby, and bust to the airport just outside. Can’t wait to be back
I loved this location it was so peaceful and right by all the best shopping places! The staff was super friendly and I appreciate all their help! Thank you so much!
Had a wonderful experience.
We were in Larnaca for one night. It was a comfortable bed to rest our weary head. Close to lots of shops and food. Easy walk to the Sea.
I just had a two-day stop in Larnaca and wanted to be downtown rather than at the waterfront. This very small hotel was outstandingly clean and well kept, with a very helpful staff. Bedrooms were small but well equipped. My balcony overlooked the main church square, from which I could witness the Easter Saturday night celebrations. No food available except a small coffee & cake breakfast. But there is excellent food (including breakfast) available immediately next to the hotel. Only problem for me (aged 86, walking with a cane) was the 23 marble steps to get from the entrance up to the first floor hotel - but I had no problem in getting help with my luggage. Overall, a very satisfying couple of nights stay.
My balcony faced an old plaza and had a great view of St. Lazarus church. Very convenient to many restaurants and an excellent beach.
Excellent location, clean and well maintained. Friendly and helpful staff.
Great location, easy walking to anywhere. Airport bus stop is a few steps away. Simple room with decent aircon. If you’re used to not flushing toilet paper, you’ll be comfortable.
My wife and I absolutely loved Hotel Opera! Staff was super friendly and courteous. The room was very clean and well decorated. The area surrounding the hotel was full of shops, bars, markets, and restaurants all within walking distance. 10/10, would absolutely recommend this place to anyone!
Nice hotel overlooking the square
One night stay as we were catching a flight after a tour of Cyprus. Easy to find. Beautiful location. Clean and friendly. Definitely somewhere we would return to for a longer stay.
Very good location. Excellent staff. Very convenient.
Lady at reception was wonderful and have some great restaurant recommendations. There was no lift, but only one flight of stairs. Our room overlooked the town square so it was a lovely view. I would stay there again.
Ok for location
Location location location! Other than that, no frills. Needs major renovation.
Had a lovely stay at this hotel. Great location. Very clean. The front desk staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. I highly recommend staying at this hotel !!
Comfortable stay.
Good stay. Great location on St Lazarus Square. Comfortable room. We stayed 4 nights. Tea, coffee and toast available in lounge area 24 hrs. Good bakery and coffee shop next to hotel. All conveniences close by and bus to the airport at the square 10 metres away. Friendly staff. The bathroom had a bad mould problem but that was the only setback.
Sensational hotel in central Larnaca, staff perfect, room clean.
Shout out to Neri? (Dont know if i have the right spelling), the young lady at the reception/front desk. She was awesome, very courteous and helpful. Thank you for your help Neri. The hotel is in a good location, out our window we could see the chirch right in front of us. We only stayed for one night to catch an early morning flight the next day. Had a good sleep, and then left early.
A great short stop in the heart of Larnaca! We spent one night as it was very convenient for an early start to Larnaca Airport the next morning. The hotel arranged the taxi, it was on time and got us to the airport in 5 minutes. I would use this hotel again. The staff were very helpful!
Highly recommended
Basic hotel, worn down Amazing location!
This is an older hotel located near a major church. It was clean, staff very helpful, AC was quiet, and bed was comfortable. Good coffee shop downstairs.
Fabulous Old Town location overlooking the beautiful St Lazarus church.
Excellent small hotel for Larnaca break
Great hotel for a great stay in Larnaca.
Very close to cafes and Church of St Lazarus
Very clean, great views of the square! Bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly. Hardly any street noise at night, with the exception of some speeding cars.
The lady receptionist was very helpful specially with the plugs so that I was able to charge my phones. She was also very nice.
Sweet little hotel, which is run by extremely friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are beautiful and lovely and the hotel is located next to the st. lazarus church, in the middle of town. We can definitely recommend this place!
Really lovely and perfect location
A pleasurable stay
Fine location in the historic St Lazarus Square; spotlessly clean and well-decorated rooms; warm welcome with a bottle of wine presented for a significant birthday; bread, cake and fruit freely available throughout the day and night; helpful services given at all times; excellent value.
Great value. Only surprise was having to schlep my bags up a flight of stairs.
Location was great.
Hotel is OK—Wi-Fi doesn’t work
The room was ok. Wi-Fi doesn’t work. I complained about it and was told it would be fixed in two hours. It wasn’t. Asked again and was told a few more hours. Went out and came back in the evening and it still wasn’t working and was told, it’s late and we don’t have a tech available. I wasn’t able to finish my work. I ended up checking out and changing rooms after that.
It was very good experience staff very freindly and the hotel location was great
Lovely hotel
A lovely hotel staff prepared to go above and beyond to help you. We had an issue with air conditioning at 23.00 , engineer on site and repaired by 09.00 .A lot of hotels could learn from them. Lovely terrace to sit on and enjoy a coffee or wine. Looking forward to returning next year.
Do it for the view
Pleasant lovely staff who were incredibly helpful, guided us to our rooms where we were greeted with a stunning view of the church of st. Lazarus! The bathroom was a little old in our room (which was in the operetta) but that aside everything was great. Whilst there is no breakfast there is a 24/7 selection of like teas, coffees, toast and jams etc by reception which filled a hole before going out in the morning.
Excellent location.
My second stay at this hotel. Stayed when I first got into Cyprus, then again before flying out. Great little hotel with helpful staff. Comfortable bed, good AC. Walkable to everything, including bus stops. Restaurants and markets nearby, and the Church of St. Lazarus right out front.
Lovely little hotel with a great staff. Walkable to everything. About a block to beach. Restaurants and markets nearby. Everything you need. I am in Paphos now and am planning on staying here again when I return to Larnaca.
Stayed in a lovely Studio in the Operette House with cute interior and a nice balcony with view on the church. Convenient parking and comfortable bed! Will come again. Great location, too.
Great location, Helpful Staff
Rooms are small but clean. Excellent location across St Lazarus Sq and a few-minutes walk from the Corniche. Free parking on site. Friendly staff who helped me book a couple tours. You have to climb a full flight of stairs to get to the reception area and rooms, so don't overpack! (I don't believe there's an elevator).
Location was amazing with views of the church. Cheap price and you get what you pay for.
This isn't a 5 stars hotel (no one said it is), but the room was clean, great location, VERY helpful staff (especially Diana but all others as well), no breakfast but 24x7 coffee, tea, milk, cookies, fruits. It was perfect for our needs, thank you Opera hotel staff.
Excellent choice
Lovely hotel and very friendly staff. Pretty much the only hotel with free parking right in the centre of town. Highly recommend
Great good value hotel.
Nice and simple hotel which was perfect for our one night visit to Larnaca. Helpful staff, clean, good value and great location. Many thanks.
The location of this property is great, right across from the st. Lazarus church with a lot of restaurants and bar within 2 minutes walking distance. Also for the public beach it's 3 minutes quick walking for me. The room is small but comfortable, the air conditioning running efficient and quiet. The staff are friendly and helpful. All in all, comparing to the price I paid with other properties in Larnaca, it's highly recommended.
Perfect location on st lazurus square...quiet yet only 2 blocks from beach
It's like home. It's quiet though in the Centre. They somehow need to to add a chair in the room
Friendly great wee hotel
Very helpful staff and a nice hotel close to the sea
I loved the friendly and helpful staff. Everything we needed also was found in the room or at the lobby
Perfect for our 2 night stay.
My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Opera. Whilst relatively small, the room was very clean and nicely furnished. We appreciated being upgraded to a room with a small balcony that overlooked the square and beautiful Church of St Lazarus. The staff were very friendly and courteous and we appreciated the complimentary drinks and cakes. The only down side was being next to a road with some noisy bikes in the middle of the night. The comfortable bed made up for it though and we slept well. It was easy to park in the large, secure car park next to the hotel. It’s only a three minute walk from the beautiful beach (7.50 euros for sunloungers and umbrella for the day). There’s also lots of restaurants and cafes in the streets around the hotel. We will definitely be back to stay again.
Lovely atmosphere and wonderful staff. It felt like staying with a family in their house. The staff had a lot of time for everyone and enjoyed chatting and offering tea, coffee, cake fruit whenever they could. Even the nice taxi driver they use was like a relative. Extremely friendly and felt comfortable chilling there.
The property was beautifully decorated and clean. Lovely friendly staff. Complimentary fruit bread cereals and tea/coffee 24hours
Great boutique hotel inna great location! Close to a very beautiful Byzantine church and 5 minute walk from the beach.
Location is perfect but not good for sleep,,,,,,,,,,,
Perfect location and very helpful staff. Pleased I booked a room with a balcony.
A beautiful space in a great location
We stayed for 2 nights as part of a wedding party. The rooms were spotless, extremely comfortable, and had useful facilities such as a kettle and even a UK plug extension. The warmth of our welcome was a true indicator of consistently great service throughout our stay with excellent English spoken and a true sense of nothing being too much trouble. The self service breakfast could be taken either in the attractive outside patio and dining area, or in our rooms and the access to the large communal fridge (in addition to the ones in the rooms) made our trip very comfortable and memorable. The location is excellent with easy access to the beach, fantastic restaurants and the beautiful Lazarus church. This is a great hotel and felt very good value.
Wonderful staff and hotel location. In the middle of old town larnaca across from Saint Lazarus church with a wonderful view
I had a short weekend stay at Hotel Opera. It is conveniently located in St. Lazarus Square with clean and basic rooms. In the short interactions I had with the staff, they were friendly. The tea and cake were appreciated. My flight arrived quite late at night outside of the hotel's core hours, and I had to make a phone call for the night attendant, who didn't speak English, to let me in. There should perhaps be clearer instructions for these late arrivals,
Very nice. We appreciated the clean room, helpful advice and 24hr coffee/treat table
10/10
Just amazing! Amazing location, close to everything, friendly staff, comfortable bedroom. Thankyou!
Good hotel in a boring city
In a good spot in Larnaca, right next to the cathedral. The hotel is on the second floor and there is no elevator, so be prepared to lug your suitcases up a flight of stairs. They don't have a secure spot to keep luggage, but you can leave it next to the desk if you feel trusting. There are free snacks and beverages, and a small kitchen where you can get ice. Our room was comfortable, and the staff were helpful when we needed to extend our stay by a night due to our airline going out of business. They arranged a cab for us when we were ready to leave and washed our clothes for 5 Euros. I don't know why anyone goes to Cyprus unless they have family there, but if I have to do it again, I'd be ok staying here.
Very nice stay in this boutique hotel in the center of everything and walking distance to the beach. They provide a nice refreshing breakfast and help with recommendations for their guests. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone
This is a quaint boutique hotel in an excellent location with friendly staff. They offer breakfast in a cute balcony every morning and are very helpful answering any questions you may have. They even went “ above and beyond” helping us deal with our car rental agency. I highly recommend this place.
Cute and nice
Feels family run as the staff were lovely, cute balcony and good view, room is a bit tight, but that was due to the large bed. It was good value for money.
We loved the receptionist. She was so helpful and lots of fun. We also loved the complementary beverages and cakes, and the sitting room outside
Amazing location
Great service and location. You are close to sights, cafes, restaurants, and the beach. This is a straightforward hotel with all the amenities that you need. In addition, they have coffee and snacks always available. Bass is is a lovely hist
Comfortable, stylish pretty cheap “boutique” hotel in most central location in Larnaca facing St. Lazarus church. Super clean, balcony, they’ll do laundry for the usual (cheap) 5 euros/load which is handy, and have a free car park. All in all, good style, comfort and value for Larnaca.
Well worth our second visit
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in 2016, and weren't disappointed with our second stay. Ideally placed in the old town away from the modern bustle, yet handy for everything needed. Welcoming and helpful staff, simple refreshments always on hand, secure parking--and a lovely view of the church if you choose the right room. Larnaca nicely placed for sea and sights.
Ideal for Larnaca
Hotel Opera is ideal for visiting Larnaca. The city bus from the airport stops right next to it, and it is across the street from St Lazarus church, which is beautiful and very historic. The church square has small restaurants and cafes around it, so it is easy to get a meal or a coffee. The beach is only a few blocks away - I preferred to be not next to it, so there was less noise or people. The staff at Hotel Opera were very kind, spoke excellent English, and helped me with anything I needed, including adding an extra night to my stay. The room was bright and attractive, the wifi strong, and the bathroom especially nice. I can't think of a better place to stay. Travelers should be aware that there are steps to the second floor where the hotel is located, with no elevator.
Value for money, relatively comfortable hotel in the middle of everything. Small room, barely space for walking after putting our luggages. Toilet is tiny. Lighting is broken, and still broken after it was "fixed". Service was good. Free Parking available.
Great place. Central and close to beach.
Very happy. Friendly staff. Breakfast and snacks all day. Good place.
Brilliant stay at hotel opera! highly reccommended
Me and my wife came to larnaca city center for 2 nights as a last minute decision and this hotel was one of the only ones with availability. The bed was really big and extremely comfortable and the staff were very accommodating with all our personal requests. We checked out and left our suitcases there for the day. we came to fetch them soaking wet from last minute jet skiing. They offered us to have a shower and gave us towels, even though we were already checked out! Highly reccommended and in a top location right by the sea.
Centrally located
Great location. Ernesta was incredibly helpful- she was super attentive, informative and incredibly responsive.
Lovely hotel on the square
Small hotel and well laid out. We had a room with a small balcony overlooking the church of St Lazarus and the Square which was lovely. The room was clean and fresh with all amenities provided, and fridge, tea coffee etc. Beds very comfortable Complimentary refreshments were available at reception and also a light breakfast. We will definitely return.
Ideal hotel steps from eveything
I was satisfied by the kind staff, the ideal location, steps from everything: Lazarus church, downtown, shops, restaurants, nightlife, sea, affording lots of services and guidances to tours and excursions.
Larnaca stay
Very polite staff, good location, possibility to eat fruits, Very good choice for the price
Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Room was excellent - comfortable and clean. Restaurant and bar very good. Location good but could be better.
Lovely hotel in beautiful part of Larnaca.
This is a great, quaint hotel right in the heart of where you want to be in Larnaca. The rooms are small but clean and the beds are super comfortable. It's a 5 minute walk to the beach, right across from the beautiful cathedral. It is a bit noisy being on a major street, but that's also a great part of the location. There's a very nice parking lot adjacent. And, the treats and breakfast stuff they put out is a very nice touch. I will be staying here again.
Excellent small hotel in centre of the old town
This is an excellent small hotel. It is clean, comfortable with a charming location across from St. Lazarus Church. We used it as a final stop in Cyprus because it has easy access (by taxi) to the international airport. It is 2 blocks away from the waterfront but amongst the shopping and restaurants. The staff is excellent and prepared to help in any way that they can. The hotel is on the second floor and without an elevator. That being said, the woman on duty insisted on carrying our heavier luggage up the stairs herself. A simple continental breakfast is available in the reception area with a pretty patio nearby. Coffee, tea, juice and pastries are available all day - all complimentary.
Lovely stay
Fantastic location with a lot of nice restaurants and cafes around. Sea front within walking distance .
Lovely hotel
Perfect location close to sights!
I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! It is in the most PERFECT location if you are sightseeing. It's literally right next door to St. Lazarus Church and just up the street from the Castle. If you're a beachgoer the beach is right down the street as well! It's on a popular, but not overwhelmingly busy road which is nice. The staff are the kindest people, and really made me feel at home. The gentleman Mike went above and beyond to make sure I was well taken care of. When I come back to Larnaca this is where I will be staying!
Great location
Great location. Small room but very nice decor. Steep stairs. Nice touch with free coffee, cake and fruit. Reception not always manned.
FANTASTIC HOTEL
the hotel was fantastic. the owner & staff could not do enough. a bottle of champagne & choclates in our room. the people & restaurants / bars we ate at were friendly & service was excellent . the places we visited were very interesting. we will return to that hotel & CYPRUS
