Outside a busy round about. Beach is within 10 kin walk with McDonald's and amenities. Great entertainment and food was good.

Felt like we arrived through a back entrance, but once inside the foyer was decorated nicely for Christmas. Staff at the desk were not as welcoming, not rude, just aloof. Shocked to hear about additional costs to use the safe in our room & for towels. It was cheaper to buy a towel.The welcome drink was a nice touch, though. We wanted a twin room, but there was no way to separate the beds. They were so uncomfortable (hard, lumpy, noisy) that I ended up sleeping on the sofa (which had stains) for the whole weekend anyway. I'm kind of glad we opted for the suite, so we could do this. There was a very pointless window in the bedroom. An interesting view of a busy roundabout greeted us from the balcony. It wasn't overly noisy, on the 3rd floor. The air conditioning controls were only on or off, not adjustable. The fridge was in a cupboard which couldn't open fully, but the fridge door opened the opposite way, so it was awkward. The shower was good, but not enclosed enough. We did have some nice toiletries in the bathroom, but no hand soap. There was a sewage smell lingering outside the hotel. "Lifeguard" was rude when we used sunbeds we weren't told you had to pay for. Also told off for drinking near the pool, which wasn't listed in the rules. I think he was bored. The only thing that felt 4* was the food. A great selection for every diet. Limited cocktail menu. Invisible spa? The entertainment felt like it was designed for older generations. The staff party sounded more lively

Bathroom refurbishment is an improvement. The rest of the bedroom is now looking tired and in need of an up-date. The restaurant table staff do not always cater for the solo traveller. On several occasions my table had been cleared and been occupied by another guest by the time I had returned to the table. It was suggested I leave my mobile phone on the table in my absence -I was not prepared to do this for obvious reasons. Another suggestion was that I leave my room card on the table - I did this on one occasion and this was ignored too. Hotels.com state that parking is free. There are a select few parking spaces but these are not generally available. Parking is charged at 10 Euros per night. The food provided was really good and the kitchen staff are to be commended for the quality and presentation. Overall - enjoyable stay.

Entertainment and food was excellent. Rooms a little basic

Good quality hotel especially for the price. Located fairly close to the beach which is only a short walk. Buffet food was good and the chef station was well run. Evening entertainment was ok. Paying extra for parking and a safe isn’t great service.

All welcoming friendly hotel, with a great atmosphere! They dealt promptly with some noisy/disruptive people, which was reassuring. However, we witnessed a group reporting suitcases having been stolen from their room on the evening of their arrival, with all clothing/passports/money having being taken from a 6th floor room! The staff did not seem to respond favourably, and they weren't taking this seriously- concerning!!

Hotel was in a very poor area, dirty and noisy. Beds were surprisingly uncomfortable and the music from hotel goes on 14 hours, very loud.

Fourth stay at hotel. Facilities good, good choice of food and attentive staff. However, bedrooms are looking very tired and in need of refurbishment. The hotel claims to be adult only. There were several children present and not that made any difference. However, the claim should but be made.

Great Hotel-Not adults only.

Great hotel, well placed for Las Americas and Adeje. Was not Adults only though. Contacted Hotels.com who informed me it was Adults only in November! I was there in late August early September.

This was my first time staying at the Ole Tropical. Overall I would say the hotel a nice place to stay. It is a little on the pricey side if you are staying as a single person, as there are no single rooms available. It is dissapointing that if you do not have all inclusive then you have to rent a kettle and locker which is ridiculous in this day and age. If you like your sleep then I would advise not to stay here , walls are extremely thin and you can hear the neighbouring guests whole conversations including alarms clocks going off. So much so it sounds like they are in the room with you. So don’t expect to get much sleep. Breakfast is good with a wide variety of options and the staff are friendly. So it is sad to rate the hotel down for the bits mentioned above but otherwise a nice place to stay.

Fantastic week

The staff was very friendly. There were many options of ranges for all inclusive to suit anyone. We did not like the location. IT was not handy for the beach or restaurants or the night life. The hotel was clean. The food was always very good.. although the selection did not vary much and the signs on the dishes were not always there or correct. What we did not like was that the hotel was very noisy. The rolling carts in the halls of the staff first thing in the morning. The loud music from 9-11 pm every night. It was not very appropriate for our travelling plans which were less about the nightlife. WE like out balcony and the semi view of the ocean, but right across the street was a dirt pile which had a homeless person living there and the police showed up there twice.

Decent

Stayed here for a week in Sept - on arrival staff offered a complimentary glass of sparkling wine and were very welcoming. We were given a free upgrade on our room which was a great start. The hotel is very clean - several staff cleaning every morning in communal areas and rooms cleaned daily. In terms of negatives - the wifi isn’t great and only worked in certain areas of our room so I found myself standing by the door for a signal and my phone often cut back to 4G. You can also only link 2 devices per room so if you have a phone each, you can’t then link up a tablet for example without completely disconnecting another device - quite frustrating. Sun beds were really in need of an upgrade - very uncomfortable and not great if you’re seeking a relaxing week in the sun. We only had breakfast on our deal and it was fine - good selection daily. Location is fine for people who want to be near “Veronica’s” area - 20 mins walk to the fountiains area or to Costa Adeje. Overall a decent stay but definitely room for improvement.

Great value for the money. The staff is great and very welcoming. The food is amazing! Definitely worth it. We had a very fun time in the pool! A lot of activities. Will stay here again when back to the area.

I absolutely love this place, so much I went 2 months in a row! The staff are so lovely and friendly it definitely makes such a difference to the stay. There were some larger groups that were during this stay but didn't impact too much. Lovely clean hotel, good food, not overly for children though

Was told check in would be at 2pm but once we arrived at the property they said it is 3pm. After waiting an extra hour we were disappointed to see that the rooms weren’t even cleaned properly. The room is situated inside the reception opposite the hotels main toilets and adjacent to the cleaning cupboards/luggage storage which meant constant loud noise throughout the day and night. Do not be fooled by the basic room looking the exact same as the premium room as you will be placed on the ground floor near the main toilets.

Lovely hotel

Lovely clean hotel. Great pool and sunbathing area, always sun beds available. The entertainment team are great, happy smiley people, but not pushy. lots of activities throughout the day. Breakfast has a superb collection. Only a minor downside was the selection of drinks available in the bar. I will certainly stay at this hotel.

Very noisy, no sleep

Terrible. Very noisy. 11:30 p.m. we can still heard the music downstairs. 4 o'clock a.m. some people come back, we heard everything they talked. 7 a.m. some people go to eat the breakfast, very noisy. Very very very noisy. Not welcome staff for reception. Except the restaurant is ok, the staff ins the restaurant is good.

Great hotel all round

Loved our stay at this hotel. Let us check in early, reception staff really helpful. Bar staff amazing, animation team great. Room really clean and beds comfortable. Only down side in the rooms were the air con is controlled by reception so set at 21 if it’s too warm you have to ask them to change the setting and then when too cold you can’t change in the room Pool perfect and you can hire towels Central location, good Irish bar down the road on the way to the strip and the strip is just a short walk away Breakfast lovely, especially the fresh omelettes, lunch and dinner always a variety of choice I’ve cream machine with cones, tubs and sauce also which would be a hit for children Not many children at this hotel when we went mind but it was April so not in peak season yet so there were only about 3 children we spotted I would take our daughter however but this was a short weekend anniversary break me and my husband Def return to the hotel with it being a great all round hotel

Noisy

Nice hotel however these rooms are not sound proof I heard absolutely everything from my room. Felt like every sound made was in my room, not sound proof at all so got a very very poor sleep constantly getting woken up from people shouting, music playing etc

Good service , poorly designed hotel

Booked a room with a double bed - got two singles- rock solid mattress - , I asked for an exchange , I got a mattress topper . The room was bright and spacious , with plenty of wardrobe space . The bathroom on the other hand was a joke . What a ridiculous design ! So much stuff crammed into such a small space it is totally inoperable !!!! Deliveries to the hotel start around 05.30am and as there is only one way in and out all you get the the reversing beeps of the lorries .!!! Shame as the staff were very good and very attentive

Decent stay

Customer service could be better as at times didn't find reception staff approachable. The breakfast was decent and we did get our room changed when wifi didn't work which we appreciate. The pool wasn't heated so didn't use that. Location is good but on a hill.

Avoid hotel

Food was disgusting we were all inclusive couldn’t keep off the toilet I was served uncooked pork chop Eggs off a grill burnt and congealed I would never return the AI drinks were very poor as well I was lucky I never ate the pork or I would of been in hospital I told different staff about the pork and they said I’ll stick it back on the grill no apology or anything

Location is great, just between Costa Adeje and Playa de las Americas. Staff is very nice and helpful. Food is great. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Close to the beach, shops, bar’s and restaurant’s. Very happy with the cleanliness and how friendly the staff were.

Great location, close to the veronicas area, but set back. Area is good for parking if getting a car. The rooms are excellent, have been refreshed at some point. Beds however are hard. Good size balcony. Would be if it from tea and coffee making facilities in the room. ood is very good along with the drink selection and inclusions in the AI package. All in all would stay again

The resort needs to cater for vegetarians more. The bar staff were very good, as well as the Head Chief who did one off special meals for my vegetarian party, when ever he was around.

They have a policy of over booking hoping someone will cancel. On our holiday no one did ,so after a long journey we were moved to another hotel. No kettle in the room, you had to hire one. Also on half board you even had to buy water to go with your meal. Property on a main road so noisy at night. Entertainment excellent. Food ok. Clean. Would mark it as 3 star.

Staff were friendly, location was good, pool was nice, as was breakfast. Only issue was deposit needed to use the safe, only some of which you got back when checking out. However, wouldn’t object to book again.

Great entertainment and location

The entertainment was very good at the hotel. They had different activities during the day and shows in the evening. The animation team were very funny and good at including people. We took part in the shuffle board, mini golf, bingo and evening shows. We had breakfast included, the selection was fantastic. We ate at a restaurant beside the hotel which did a deal of 3 courses for €11. The hotel is in a great location with restaurants and 24hr shops nearby. We got the public bus from the airport which dropped us right outside the hotel and cost less than 5 euro. Siam mall and siam park are very close by and we walked there a few times.

We had a really awesome time there, food was fantastic, beer cool, entertainment again fantastic, and overall a great holiday.

Staff were lovely and the entertainment staff were brilliant, food was very nice the crepe station for dinner was a lovely touch.

The cleaning was very thorough. The bar was nice and the prices weren’t that expensive for drinks.

Reasonable

Reasonable hotel in a busy and poorer area of Adeje. Friendly and helpful staff. Food of good standard (especially on nights leading up to an internal survey of residents!) Wifi was not the best and only two British TV channels available (when not scrambled).

Strange attitude from lady on front desk on checking in. Room very clean but the pillows let the hotel down massively. They are made of bits of foam in a sewn up pillow slip. Ridiculous for a hotel and very uncomfortable. Could not sleep with them! All the Maids unfriendly but do their jobs well. Quite good outside activities, bingo, music etc. Would not stay there again.

Bugs in first and second room provided. Third was fine but very badly run down. Gave up trying to argue further as it was wasting the trip. Some of the staff were very helpful, others could do with adjusting attitude.

This is a nice hotel conveniently located near the city center where there is a lot going on and many things to see. The room is reasonably comfortable and had a great view from the balcony. The staff is friendly and the buffet breakfast is awesome! Other meals are served as well, but I ate other meals elsewhere. Parking can be a challenge for this hotel, but I was always able to find on street parking, just not always close.

Love the place but this time had groups of drunken morons repeatedly causing problems early hours banging and crashing around early mornings disturbing guests. When they should have been thrown out .hotel should be doing more

-Arrived well after check in time however were kept waiting an hour for the room to be ready. -Quite a varied breakfast buffet though most of the cooked breakfast items were lukewarm - Hotel is adjacent to a large Sewage plant making it smell a LOT. Couldn’t really use the balcony because of this. - Very firm mattress which was way too hard for our liking -Tempermental and noisy air conditioning unit which only seemed to work for a few hours at a time. -Ants in the room (we didn’t have any food or drink in there) -Not much parking

Thought the animation team were excellent. Was very pleased with the room we were given.

Amazing hotel,amazing staffs, great location just 10 minutes walk from Siam Park which is one of the great warer park in the world. Very close to the lovely beach.

Myself and a friend stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The location is decent, a 15 minute walk to the beach & restaurants and a 10 minute walk to restaurants. The problems we had, myself and my friend was that you can hear everything outside of the hotel..we were staying in room 201 & 202. If it wasn’t the traffic, then it was early morning deliveries to the hotel where you can hear delivery truck doors slamming and the workers playing music. The food was substandard, they didn’t have a variety of meat which was a shame, referring to seafood also. Although we had breakfast and Dinner included, we preferred eating outside of the hotel as the food quality wasn’t great. The bed was comfortable the the pillows we’re not. Overall, for a short stay this hotel is a ok place to stay at. The staff were helpful, onsite security and not too far from the shops.

All the staff worked hard to keep residents successfully happy and entertained. The location was satisfactory if a little too close to the older area of Playa de las Americas than we would have preferred.

Great heated pool, daily activities, gym, and location. Large selection at the buffet breakfast. Room smelled strongly of septic tank at times, difficult to ask for extra towels.

Ok for a short break , clean but noisy at night

Hotel is super clean , and close to local shops and beach , staff are pleasant and helpful , but the evening must be prepared to bring ear plugs .. hardly slept a wink with the amount of noise ! Clubs banging music all night and the screaming people outside shouting and swearing , almost every single night ! The walls are thinner than an a4 sheet of paper and the pillows are the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever slept on

Lovely hotel

A great hotel. Staff were friendly and efficient. Rooms were spacious and clean. Selection at breakfast buffet was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

Problems experienced during check-in as I had booked a Doubleroom but the confirmation email only stated one name. After explaining that the rate was for double occupancy as a basic, the receptionist was able to process the booking. They were even going to charge extra for my spouse that I was not going to pay. wasted half an hour during this process.

Welcome drink and chocolate on arrival was very nice. Our first allocated room was extremely close to the elevator on the floor above reception. The main view from our original room was a roof of the large hotel dining area/ restaurant and a car park. We were slightly disappointed with the view however, reception did allow us to pay and be upgrade to a room on a higher floor with a restricted view of the sea. When booking, I would recommend that individuals’ request a pool view on floor 5-7. Breakfast was very good. Lots of shops in close proximity. Walking distance to Siam mall and beach.

Hotel Ole Tropical

Overall this was a lovely hotel open and inviting.The staff were really friendly. The entertainment team were great. The only thing which was a little bit of a let down was the bedding and the wi-fi. We found it difficult to sleep restfully as the pillows were not comfortable and my son found the duvet too small. The wi-fi signal was a let down so we couldn't use our i-pad to go on the internet

Budget hotel

From check in i should have known, i've never been asked to forward the expedia confirmation even though they had the hotel booking confirmed. Running through - Walls - thin, trolleys running by or anyone speaking, walking etc outside or inside can be heard in the rooms. Pillows - all lumpy, beds firm but ok. Room has a built in safe but must be paid for its use. Room lock - pointless. There is a turn lock inside but their cleaners overwrote this and walked in anyway. Room lock #2 - when i left my room after the first night the auto lock didn't auto engage as such my room could have been open to everyone, but this was rectified quickly. Food - decent, variety available and different cooks on different nights but mostly buffet style still good. Pool - small but fine, people still reserve their spots but there is a secondary 'sun lounge' on the concrete section. Massage - a 1hr massage left me with bruises on both legs.
