Beautiful view of the Pacific

Clean room, comfortable bed, fantastic views. The pool was very nice and we very much enjoyed the jacuzzi. Most of the staff was very friendly. They were over 40 minutes late both days with breakfast which was included with our stay. There was also a problem with being overcharged by the hotel but it was resolved quickly.

Views wonderful but you do need The hotel and staff were very good however it is unfortunate that the hotel does not have any food facilities i.e. restaurant anf or cafe.

The landscape is fantastic from the bedroom, but the facilities should be much better.

Sitting on a rock overlòking the Pacific is greatest asset of hotel. One must walk or bus to neighbouring cituez if without a car....super vidtas along the way. One has breakfast delivered every day, as there is no dining room. Not a bad way to begin the day by overlooking the ocean.

Beautiful View, Comfortable Rest

An older hotel that has been very well kept. Very clean, excellent staff, magnificent location, right on the seaside cliffs. A short drive or Uber trip into Valparaiso. No restaurants, but a nice breakfast brought to your room each morning.

The hotel seemed safe and clean but not super clean. nice ocean view. decor dated, obvious signs of many repairs to ceiling. bed was decent and bedding was comfortable. water pressure and temperature in shower were excellent! hair dryer was a breath away from dead. wifi was not great and no secure password. it was essentially open wifi with no security. this was a big issue for me. tv had spotty functionality, probably related to spotty wifi. Staff were generally friendly with no issues to report. overall rating of adequate with a few highs and lows. 3 out of 5.

The hotel did not tell us that the pool was closed before we reserved our room. The bar was not open either. Hotel is in very inconvenient area.

The ocean front Hotel always will be a outstanding. Hotel Oceanic needs urgent infrastructure update, open again the restaurant

NOT A 4 STAR HOTEL!

This is not a 4 star hotel. The condition of the rooms and overall facility would reflect more of a 2 or 3 star hotel. Our window shade was broken and would not open. It was noisy on a busy street and difficult to sleep. You could easily hear noise from the hallway and adjacent rooms. The rooms are basic and without frill. They want to serve you breakfast in your room, but the rooms are tiny and do not have tables. I later discovered this is because the dining room is small and can not accommodate all of the guests. We asked to eat in the finish room, as did two other groups of guests but the tables were not cleaned when we went down there. The breakfast has instant powdered coffee — NOT something a 4 star hotel should ever do. To check out, we had to wait for housekeeping to “check the room” and make sure you didn’t take anything from the minibar. A 4 star hotel should trust their guests and let you have an automatic and speedy checkout. On the positive side, the pool is nice and the view of the sea is beautiful.

Location and views are incredible.

Great spot right on the ocean

We went with a room with balcony on the ocean and really enjoyed sitting outside. Breakfast is delivered to the room. As English speakers we may have missed something, so be sure to let staff know when you want breakfast for each day. We thought it would come the same time each day as long as we didn’t tell them otherwise, but that was not the case. The nearest restaurants are a bit of a walk which was fine for us. We really enjoyed our stay.

outdated in need of modernization

Vista Espectacular!

La vista perfecta, maravillosa, increíble. La terraza espaciosa. La cama estaba ok. Y desayuno ok también. Mejorar la limpieza del baño. También revisar sistema de desagüe, ya que la ducha estaba tapada. Pagué por la app en dólares y en recepción querían que pagara en pesos y me hicieron devolución para después cobrarme ellos. Reclamé y finalmente me tomaron el pago en dólares. Fue bastante engorroso eso. Resumiendo, mejorar servicio, limpieza e instalaciones, la habitación con una vista espectacular!

Breathtakingly gorgeous family owned hotel

My wife and I live in Viña only a few miles from this hotel. We had to stay local for our anniversary this year and decided to give this hotel a shot. Wow, what an amazing place! Where do I begin? The views from the hotel are to die for. Located right on top of the rocks at the edge of the continent, you can't get any closer to the ocean without getting in. It reminds me of hotels you might find in Monterrey California or Carmel. The decor of the hotel is rustic but well maintained, with historic works of local artisans decorating the halls and rooms. The place is owned and run by a family who had previously lived in the United States. Although I speak Spanish fluently, it was a pleasant surprise to find that the owners are also fluent English speakers. The hotel stands by itself in a section of the road that is about a half a kilometer from the cute little hamlet of Reñaca. Because of this, I would say it's a good choice for people looking for a romantic getaway who don't want to be bothered with a lot of noise and movement. If someone comes without a car, the walk into town is only about 10 minutes or so (into Reñaca), otherwise a local Uber can get you there on the cheap as well.

top notch in almost everything

everything was top notch, except the breakfast could of been a bit more better still good but not top notch, but the rooms was top notch, the comfort was top notch, the customer service of the employees was very profesional and very helpful, the bar and other places of the hotel made it look very nice as one of the nicest and richest looking hotel I have been to, room was nice because it was oceanview and had a nice view of the city plus the room was very nice and big,

The view from the ocesn side room was outstanding. However, the property was a little dated and has obviously seen better days.

Manager and receptionist were very rude. Service was terrible. Property was dated. Their website pictures are clearly not what it truly is. Extremely overpriced.

The best location in Vina del Mar. Very helpful staff especially Carlos

The hotel is on a pretty major road, however the room looked out over the ocean so you couldn't hear the road from the room. The hotel was a little dated, but the caring staff were brilliant and attentive to our needs.

The hotel was great. The views from our room and the dining room were stunning. We also were a quick and easy drive from the casino, where we went out that evening.

Practical Hotel

I stayed at the Oceanic Hotel based on other reviews I researched. All of the reviews were accurate but they were also relative. Relative to what people are accustomed to. As I've travelled quite extensively I know what to expect based on what part of the world I'm in. This hotel was ok. Room was small, but sufficient. Hotel structure was old but functional and clean. If you're looking for a slightly cheaper place to stay and won't be spending a large amount of time at the hotel then this place is fine as the walk to Vina is stunning.

Front desk staff were very unfriendly

Our room had balcony and this made our stay more enjoyable. View is incredible. Staff very unfriendly and you felt like you were burdening them when you a laws for something. Bathroom as very small and outdated.

Best if you have a car

This hotel was nice. The manger Andreas was super friendly and helpful. If you are on foot without a car this location isn't great. Everything is at least a 10min walk or more, the restaurant area of vina Del Mar is about 40min walk, Renaca is closer but still about10-30 min depending on where you're going. And Valparaiso is just too far to walk, it's about 6miles away. The hotel was under some construction so we didn't get to enjoy the outdoor patio. The ocean view from the rooms is very beautiful. The included breakfast is meager (for an American of course) coffee leaves something to be desired as well... overall the hotel was clean and cozy, not having a vehicle really makes this place less ideal. And traveling abroad meant we couldn't use ours cells to book Ubers, the hotel offers a cab service but to come back you call the hotel and we couldn't call without incurring fees.

Sinceramente, acredito que esse hotel deva ter sido bom.Atualmente, não recomendo! Funcionários despreparados, café da manhã péssimo e incompatível com o valor da estadia.

Muy deteriorado

Un verdadero desastre, Unos Mentirosos. Dicen tener restaurante Y NO TIENEN NADA. El desayuno, peor que de una carcel. No se hacen cargo de las mentiras. El Dueño, es el peor de todos. Nos negaron servicio de restaurante por que tenian un grupo de 10 personas y segun ellos, no podian atender más que eso. NO LO RECOMIENDO por ningún motivo.

Falta de información al momento de la reserva de la habitación que te están entregando, pague por ella como en un hotel 5 estrellas y quede en una habitación de residencial, y que me disculpen los de las residenciales por que puede que tengas mejores que ellos.

Buenas tardes ! Yo tuve unas visitas amaricanas y quise hacerle un regalo de luna miel,2 dias de estadía con uds. El hotel me pregunto si era alguna celebración y yo les informé que andaban de luna de miel y me informaron que les harían una atención, lo que nunca sucedió. Además el primer día de desayuno no le incluyeron café, lo que encuentro es muy mala atención. Solo quiero mencionarlo como una critica constructiva para que mejoren en ese sentido. Buena estadía, pero experiencias desagradables

Hubieron 2 cosas que de verdad me molestaron. En primer lugar, el precio otorgado por la aplicación es menor a lo que cobran. A pesar de especificar que los impuestos estaban incluidos, igual me cobraron el IVA porque supuestamente el precio de la app no lo incluye. En segundo lugar, la habitación que reserve era NADA que ver con las imágenes. Supuestamente todas las con vista a la calle son distintas y por lo que pague era para la que me dieron pero eso se debería expresar al momento de reservar, no cuando llego. De verdad muy decepcionada con la diferencia de tamaño de la pieza que muestran en su página vs la que entregan. Fuera de eso, la experiencia en si estuvo agradable, el desayuno rico y me gusta que tenga piscina y mesa de ping Pong y pool. Había un trabajador argentino que era muy buena onda y otorgaba un excelente servicio.

Direkt am Meer, Meeresrauschen ist lauter als die Straße. Das Frühstück kann man vergessen. Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen. Preis Leistung stimmt nicht.

Semejante vista merece un mejlr servicio

La recepción caotica. El check in mas tardio que conozco a las 16.00. Nos.mandaron luego a Una habitacion ocupada. Una pena. Una vIsta excepcional, buen desayuno, no hay atencion de comidas fuera del desayuno

Buena experiencia y gran atencion!

Lo mas destacado, la atención del personal, incluyendo al cuidador de autos que los lava sin cobrar nada (pero por cierto que le pagamos!!). Como tema a mejorar, las tollas se notan un tanto antiguas y la acustica en las piezas no es tan aislada.

Agradable atencion

La habitación la encontré mas pequeña de lo que creí ver en las fotos, les hace falta ascensor. La piscina con agua agradable algo tibia el personal siempre con muy buen animo de ayudar y amigables.

Excelente vista, hotel muy agradable

No acepte la pieza 25!!

Lamentablemente nos tocó la habitación 25 (con balcón) digo lamentablemente porque el olor que salía del baño era francamente insoportable. Al día siguiente pedí que lo solucionaran y nada cambió. Fueron 2 noches soportando el mal olor que salía del baño. Al parecer era sólo esa pieza ya que unos amigos que ocuparon la pieza contigua no tuvieron ese problema.
