Romantic Rome
This hotel is about a 25 minute walk to the Vatican. There is public bus service across the street that will bring you to the Piazza Venezia. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There are a few restaurants in the area that you can walk to. The room was clean and comfortable.
The staff wonderful, the hotel is so clean, looks like a new, comfortable, safe place. They reserved our parking. Highly recommended.
I want to express my congratulation for the staff of this hotel, they all the time help us with our first time experience in the city, they front desk guys were awesome and very kind with us, now moving to the hotel, is a 3 star hotel, that’s the fact, don’t expect accommodations of a 5 stars, rooms and breakfast are ok if you want something low cost and close of the Vatican, you can go walking from there, is like 20 min walk l, other positive thing is in the front desk they sell you the bus ticket and just few meters from there is the bus stop 46 that can take you to the most of the main attractions of the city. Once again the guys on the front desk make the difference. Good job there.
The breakfast had decent croissants but the eggs were very dark, the shower did function well and as I spoke to other guest all the shower heads were acting up. The staff are amazing. I only stayed because my son was there for a soccer program. The iron is not in the room. When I asked for one it was so small it looked like a kids toy iron.
Great Place
Great place to stay for a family of 3 to site see Rome. The hotel is about 20 minute walk to St. Paul's Cathedral. The room itself is split into 2 bedrooms without doors. The bathroom entrance is from the master bedroom and this splits the 2 bedrooms. The beds where very comfortable. Room has a refrigerator and hot water pot for making coffee or tea both where supplied. The bathroom was very small and crowded with a sink, toilet, bidets and shower. You would always run into one or the other when going in. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would recommend for future stays.
Great place.
Friendly staff, including free breakfast 👍 food is good. Walking distance to the bus stop to go Piazza.
Good location to Vatican
Our room was very clean!!! Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location unbeatable- steps from the Vatican, and an easy walk to some great restaurants. The continental breakfast was the best I’ve ever had. Tons of options, great coffee! I’d definitely stay here again. Stayed with children- awesome and affordable for a family travelling!
Nice place. We stayed there for 2 nights. Walking distance to Vatican. Excellent breakfast and coffee in the morning :)
Hotel Domus Aurelia staff were friendly, professional and accommodating. Simone was fantastic!
It has been a pleasant and comfortable stay in this hotel. The staff were all friendly and I highly commented Gaya and Emmanuel who has been helpful answering our queries giving us directions. Rooms were big for 4 people, we can still able to walk without bumping into each other. Everyday after a day out, we came back with clean bedroom and fresh linen. The location is about 15 minutes walk to the Vatican City. Bus is also just across the hotel, bus 46 and 49 to catch if you want to go to the Vatican City. The metro station which is Via Aurelia is about 10 mins away to the hotel. Breakfast were great, plenty of selection from scramble egg, bacon, sausages, salami, cereals, fruits, bread and pastries. Ove all I will definitely coming back to this girl
Was great property except public transport was not very convenient. Also had issues with ants
Two rooms were accidentally booked on Expedia. The woman at the desk refused to even talk with me. She was so rude. The room was fine but you are no where near anything. Took forever to find a place to eat. I would not recommend this property.
My family of six stayed here for 4 nights while we explored Rome. It is not a far walk from the metro station. We felt the area was safe. The hotel itself was clean and the employees were friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was VERY good with many options that pleased all tastes. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of storage in the rooms. We would absolutely stay here again next time we are in Rome!
close to the Vatican and area, bus lines bring you everywhere else, right outside the door. Bus tickets 1.5 euros one way, good for an hour. Good breakfast and very clean
The staff were friendly & helpful plus the property was a great location to access some of Romes historic sights (46 bus from the door). They also recommend a great place for dinner a short walk away.
Nice clean modern room, great location next to the Vatican.
Great hotel. Great service. The front staff helped with getting a taxi. Excellent breakfast. The room was very spacious for a family of two adults and two teenage kids. The only issue I had was the shower had mold. I would just recommend to have the shower cleaned properly. However, I would stay again.
Great location - easy taxi / Uber drop off!
Loved the breakfast. The hotel was in a great location and had a nice spot for the taxi / Uber to drop off in front.
Very clean and nice options for breakfast. We were able to leave our luggages at the concierge after check-out.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is well located with easy access to the metro.
I liked the location but the street the hotel was on very busy. Staff were great.
I love my stay at this hotel. Breakfast was really good .
This hotel was very centrally located. The breakfast provided was very good (the automated coffee machine makes a great cappuccino)! Although the parking was not on the property itself, it was incredibly easy to access and secure.
The hotel staff is very friendly and caring. Good breakfast. In terms of location, it is not a central point with walking distance to major attractions, but it is within less than 10 minutes of walking distance to metro station that allows to reach anywhere in Rome. Considering that the hotel is old, it definitely needs to take care of some maintenance issues and also do some non major plumbing work. For example, water occasionally drops from the air conditioner straight to the floor, toilet seat is old and comes out and so on. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay there again.
I booked an airport transport with a referral from the hotel and the driver did not wait for us leaving us stranded. Do not book airport transport through them. Our room smelled like pee when we first arrived. On our 3rd night there, we found that pieces of the ceiling were coming off due to a water leak, we had to switch rooms. The shower is super small, one person can barely fit without moving much or turning. The place is far from major tourists’ sites, the closest would be the Vatican which is about a 20 minute walk uphill. You have to buy water at the next door market otherwise, the hotel does not offer free water unless you want to drink from the sink. Front desk staff are friendly. They are able to communicate in English and Spanish. The lady helping with breakfast in the morning is rude.
Overall a good property
Air conditioner not working. Shower not working . Only soap in washroom. Towels were dirty. Not a good location. A number of steps into hotel - difficult to manage with luggage. 2 very small 2 person elevators. Very basic breakfast
Everything was perfect
I was only there for a few nights and it was very convenient to go from there to many places by train or local bus.
Good hotel with a location issue
There are pros and cons with this hotel. The pros are it is a clean, modern hotel with spacious rooms and a good full breakfast buffet. The cons are the location. The 7 subway stops (12 min) from Termini was not bad, but the walk from the Valle Aurailia station was terrible. It’s was a treacherous, confusing 10 min uphill hike along a busy high speed road with little or no sidewalks. (Hint: exit the station to the right, go through the tunnel, then take an immediate left u-turn up a flight of stairs. At the top of the stairs go left along the treacherous road). Also except for a small market and a one table wine bar, there is nothing else in the immediate area. An 8 min walk down 2 sets of steep stairs (50+ stairs each) you will find a nice neighborhood center with some restaurants and a supermarket. And if you think it’s close to Vatican City, think again. It’s near one of the outer walls, but it’s a hilly 20+ minute walk to the nearest entry gate.
It’s OK, can’t say much there’s not much to say about it, it’s far from it all, no resto nearby I wish there’s a restaurant or at least a coffee shop inside the hotel. Thank you.
The hotel was comfortable & clean. Enjoyed the breakfast provided. The Vatican is within a long walking distance and the walk is not an easy one. Every place in Rome seems to be up hill ;-) Restaurants are also not close by. Used a food delivery service one evening, otherwise we ate while we were out & about. We were able to walk to the metro station (downhill to the station & back up the hill to the hotel...not for the faint of heart). Also beware of pick pockets on the train. They warn you but it happened to one man in our group. We were in Rome during the Ryder Cup. Taxis were just not available so we had to walk more than anticipated. The one taxi we did get from the train station to the hotel was way over priced at €100.
Moderate accommodation. Nothing impressive. The bed was tolerable but not comfortable by any means. TV was Italian only unlike some other hotels we stayed at. Shower drain was loose and sharp. Not close at all to dining or activities and even walking the mile to the restaurant was through some very sketchy alley ways. It was ok for what it was and tolerable for one night. I wouldn’t have stayed longer than that.
The hotel staff was very friendly and attentive. I like the cleanliness of the room; breakfast was good. I also like the flexibility extending the check-out time. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Duncan. Canada
Breakfast was very good finally eggs and bacon and sausage not just bread and cheese and ham staff was very friendly and helpful bar was small but good location is good walking distance to the Vatican not many restaurants close by a fifteen minute walk away I would recommend this hotel
Good breakfast and rooms. About 1/2 mile to restaurants. Street was a little noisy but the double pane windows were helpful.
Great little find...
Great stay with lovely staff. A bit dated but acceptable in line with the price! Thanks
We didn’t make our flyte in time to stay in Rome
Staff was very friendly and helpful
Habitaciones renovadas, pudieran mejorar. Localización cerca del vaticano. Excelente staff y buena disposición.
Very conveniently located. In walking distance to the Vatican wall. Bus Stop right in front of the property. Good breakfast and nice sitting area outside.
Ok for the price
.
I liked the space in the room as there were three of us and we had separate areas in the room... Very clean and comfortable!
Clean. Close to good restaurants. Nice Breakfast included. Nice outdoor patio with chair and umbrellas. Close to the Vatican.
Great place to stay!
This place is fantastic. The staff is Great !!! They speak great English too!!!
Floors should be upgraded
Everything about the hotel was great! The only downside is long commute to all the sites around the city except for the Vatican of course. Great option for the price anyway if you don’t mind paying the taxi fees!
Excellent place to stay just outside of Vatican city. My wife & I stayed for two nights and enjoyed how close it was to everything. Complimentary breakfast in the morning was also a huge plus.
The desk staff were very helpful with our questions about dining out and transportation. If you're going to visit the Vatican, it's location is perfect, only about 20 minutes walk to St. Peter's Basilica or the Vatican Museum.
Receptionists were very helpful even the ladies at the breakfast room were so accomodating. Place was very spacious, clean and quiet. It was comfortable to stay here. Thank you so much!!
Costumer service guys are very good and breakfast service are excellent.
Good place to stay in Roma

The staff were very friendly, multi lingual and very helpful. The hotel was clean, the beds comfortable and cleaning service daily. Would recommend

Amazing customer service and peoples
Very pleasant staff
Super-friendly, helpful, lovely staff. Great breakfast. Loud street, BUT excellent sound-blocking windiws.
Property was very clean and the staff were very helpful.
Good location, close to metro and a small market. Very friendly staff. But the toilet seat hinges are broken, a part of the wall is damp. Noisy at night with traffic around
Very very clean , only issue I had was that the shower was super tiny so if I was a larger person this wouldn’t have been comfortable for me
Enjoyed our stay. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Felt safe.
It was very good and was clean.
Nice clean room, I like the selection of the breakfast food and the corteous staff. The only missing is the "do not disturb" door message that you hang by the door handle.
Na
The views from windows, the staff is so friendly and helpful
This was an awesome hotel! The hotel was clean and perfect! I enjoyed my stay very much and I absolutely want to stay here again! I recommend this hotel to everyone who wants a clean room and a nice modern hotel that has a great location.
What I liked about the hotel: Our hotel room was very clean. The staff were nice and accommodating. I loved that you had a bidet in the toilet. Areas that needs improvement: The bed was a bit uncomfortable. The sink in our bathroom was flooding and the towels had stains in them. I wish you also added options for your eggs, we stayed there for 8 days, not much food choices. There were also no free bottled water daily. We just got them on our first night. Overall, it was okay.
All the staffs are friendly and very helpful. Very knowledgeable of the bus and metro route. I highly recommend this hotel.
Welcome home
We had a great time. Felt very welcomed. It was clean and comfortable.
Great breakfast options, amazing cappuccino machine, clean, safe place to stay. The only few things that need to be improved are: no hooks in the bathroom for clothes or towels, no table and chairs on the patio, too early check out 10:30 am
Great location, fair parking fee and close to amenities, bus link to piazza Venezia just opposite of the hotel. Excellent staff service, great breakfast. Recommend this hotel to everyone.
Very helpful and friendly staff
