The hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. They allow you to store your bags before check-in and you can hang out in the lobby. There is free coffee and tea.

Great location very close to big shopping street. Walkable to train station. The family room size was great. Could not adjust heat in the room and had to open a window to cool it down. Luckily it is in a quiet area so was good to have some fresh air.

The room is huge, very clean, complete room amenities. The hotel is very close to Dam square and the lovely canals. There’s a tram stop almost across the hotel. Staff are very friendly and professional as well. The hotel is equipped with a full service coffee making station at the lobby. Beautiful hotel.

I’m really glad I stayed at the hotel. It’s very conveniently located. One word of caution - which has nothing to do with the hotel - if you train in to Centraal Station it’s a long walk and the cobblestone roads make roller board use challenging. The staff were all very helpful and great with directions and guidance. Everything I did was within walking distance. I didn’t use the tram but it’s right in front of the hotel. I’d stay there again!

Clean and confortable

The room was a bit tiny but everything was perfect inside! Good size bed, clean and well decorated, the give you things like cotton buds and etc. However, the only down side is the noise… you could hear people running all night long.

Tram to Amsterdam Centraal is right outside the hotel. Great food options within a 10 minute walk, nightlife is also within a 10 minute walk. Area is pretty safe. Very nice gym not too far from the hotel. Only minor complaint is maintenance going on in the hotel causing noise.

Really great location, easy to walk to all the main sightseeing areas of Amsterdam. Helpful, courteous staff. Good selection at breakfast. Tea, coffee and water refills available 24 hours. A good hotel and area to take children to as it's just a couple of streets back from the main busy areas. Nice size rooms, clean bedding and bathroom. Lots of stairs as you'd expect in a typical Amsterdam building so worth bearing in mind if bringing smaller kids. Would recommend.

The location of the hotel is great. However my room was filthy. As if it had never been cleaned. The sheets and towels were smelly. There were sheets thrown outside the room that one of the guests had messed with, and not a single employee cleared the dirty laundry. The worst hotel I have ever been to. Score 0

Great location - close to Dam Square, but not noisy. Small, but good, selection of bars and restaurants and a supermarket. Nice staff. Didn't have breakfast, so can't comment on this aspect.

Bed bugs

Friendly staff. The problem we experienced is our son got bed bug bites from sleeping there.

Friendly and helpful staff

It was a very bad experience. The room was stinky, the carpet is so dirty, the staff were not nice and not accommodating. Nothing is good about this hotel. Not worth the price at all. Avoid!

Great spacious room for 3 people, friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, safe and convenient location, quiet at night.

We booked a family room for myself, my wife and 2 kids. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Hotel about a 15 min walk from Centraal Station. All in all happy with our stay there and would stay again.

Overall, my stay at Hotel Nova was satisfactory. However, I was disappointed with the customer service. The front desk staff seemed unwelcoming and unhappy. The worst part was having to check out a day early without receiving a partial refund. The hotel directed me to Expedia, who contacted them, but they refused to refund any money. This experience was frustrating and time-consuming, and I feel that my money was unfairly taken. I would not recommend this hotel.

Nice clean hotel room in a great area. The only thing is it doesn't have AC. That was my bad for missing that on the listing, but figured I'd mention it for FYI. And I should have guessed since it is an older building.

Rooms don’t have AC and windows don’t have screens. No washcloths in bathroom, bathroom vent didn’t work, carpet was wet around bed when arrived, TV buffers often and is too small for the room.

We really enjoyed staying at the Hotel Nova. It was very convenient to get everywhere. Breakfast was great- lots of choices. Room was clean with a very large fridge! LOL The only negative was the coffee machine in the communal area wasn’t always working but the free cold water machine was always working. The reception staff were all so polite and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

It was a great experience for my family. The staff were great and very accommodating. Will definitely recommend.

Lovely property in a great location. Many many stairs which is not unusual for Amsterdam but challenging with luggage. Not suitable if you have mobility issues. Other than absence of ice, a great stay.

Excellent and Modern

Lovely family room, better than we expected. Free coffee from reception was a bonus. Central to main shopping and attractions but just enough away to be quiet. Visited with two children and was a safe choice for them.

Nice spot near the centre

Dirty hallways with rugs that hadn't been vacuumed or cleaned in months. Stains on carpet in room. Had to carry heavy luggage thru small tasks and many doors. Breakfast was poor.

Overall the hotel was nice. Rooms are a bit small but that’s Europe for you. Be mindful of the stairs in Amsterdam. They’re very narrow and can be difficult to walk, let alone with suitcases. The layout of the floors are confusing so I did get lost a couple of times. The hotel is very close to transportation so that was very useful.

The property had black mold and the air conditioner didn’t not work. It was 26 degrees outside. The management didn’t care.

Absolutely horrible place to stay I would never stay here again. MANAGER IS RUDE AND JUST DONT WANNA KNOW WHEN YOU COME TO HIM WITH A ISSUE. my partner woke up coughing and sneezing because the room was sooo cold I could t believe I paid 150 a night to be cold absolutely shocking place I definitely wouldn’t recommend staying here it’s the worst place I’ve ever stayed in Amsterdam and this is maybe my 20th time coming here I love this place. I would recommend the inntel hotel lovely staff very clean very helpful ( AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COST )

Great location! Still very central, close to everything you want to see, but away from the crowds of people. An ideal location for a long stay. The room with a queen bed was surprisingly roomy. Lovely and accommodating staff. Wish I was staying longer!

Excellent staff ghat also privided transport to arrive from airport, more expensive than an app however the security and confidence it provided was excellent. Location, appearance, charm, comfort, excellent staff, affordability and quiet were excellent. One towel was stained but appeared clean, yet there were two sets for ond person.

Everything was fine. Location easily walkable to everywhere and tram was just nearby anyway. Great breakfast. Room and bath were clean and bed was comfortable. Only concern might be the kind of minimalist vibe. No actual closet- just a bar in the room, could use a luggage stand or two, I didn’t have hair conditioner with me and the dispenser didn’t provide it.

Staff rude and unwelcoming at check in. Was refused a late check out without the member of staff even looking. Check out was 11am and we were disturbed multiple times from 1015 by housekeeping wanting to clean the room. I complained to the receptionist on check out and she didnt even apologise. Would not stay here again.

Walkable to many places, easy to get to via train (or from Schipol). Clean, but a little tired. We had a ‘family room’ - slept 3 comfortably. Great staff - very busy! Easy to store luggage if needed.

Large clean room

Stayed for 4 nights. Family of 3 adults and 1 baby. Room was large and clean with 4 twin beds. On 3rd floor facing the street which was a bit noisy at times. Convenient to the city centre with lots of restaurants nearby and a grocery store a block away.

Great location but everything else was just ok

You get what you pay for. Average hotel and average service. No A/C but a couple of small fans provided - not ideal when it’s hot out. Room key kept needing to be reset. That was annoying. Fortunately this was just an overnight stay.

It was a nice room set up for four people, There allowed us to store luggage early and when the little one fell asleep on their couch after a long flight they managed to get us in our room early. The neighbourhood has everything close by and is a good link to central station. Perfect way to start a holiday.

Very convenient and walkable to major sites in Central. Very nice staff. Room upon arrival had no tissues in tissue box, no shower soap, no hand soap. No extra pillows. No outlet in bathroom. Outdated and dirty carpet. Room did not have phone too call front desk to ask questions. No coffee in room. Did have mini fridge and ample space in this room. Very steep stairs but working elevator. It’s a stretch to be 3 stars. Best part was staff and convenience.

A wonderful property in a quiet spot. When I come back I will definitely look to stay here again.

Clean, near everything but no air conditionning

Excellent hotel and friendly staff. Large room. Very near to the centre and lots of attractions.

The location is great, surprisingly quiet for center of city, beds comfortable and great for family of 4. The room layout was awkward. Safe and shelving unit is right at entrance and easy to hit as you come in and out of room—would be better where the desk or table is located. Also the shower was leaky into the main bathroom. These are minor inconveniences.

Excellent staff

The hotel was neat and clean. A smaller old style hotel in the center of Amsterdam. Easy access to the train station by cab. Our room was on the first floor, second level. Very difficult to get to with large suitcases. Staff did try to change the room but were fully booked . Staff did offer to help with luggage.
