Staff that were assigned during our stay atleast the one we all encountered are very nice.
Loved the spa feautures and kids loved the indoor heated pool. We always love our stay at Nikko, will be back next month again for our monthly stays!
Amazing hotel the health club is very nice. Great if you have a dog, you can use their dog terrace and they gave me dog bed too
Loved it Would recommend for anyone traveling with family or a romantic night
Very happy with my stay!
My sons 8th birthday vacation and the staff went above and beyond to make him feel Special. Buster is a great addition to our family. My son sleeps with him every night. Will definitely return!!
Beautiful hotel with first class amenities. Neighborhood is next to Tenderloin, which is rougher. Although good location to Union Square & central to all SF. Didn’t like how expensive parking was — $85 for an overnight ($75 if not an SUV) — just seemed really expensive
Very well maintained
Great and easy, very nice staff.
Lots of homeless around the area - late night didn’t feel safe walking around.
Watch out for the nickel and dimes
Was a good stay just dont eat or drink any room items and remember almost 100 a night to valet park says they have public parking but they dont
Great hotel and wonderful service from bellmen to housekeepers. My favorite hotel in SF. Saw a show at Curran Theater which is just a block away!
Great hotel
Good location and infra. Only trouble was Expedia fees vs in person hotel fees but that is more an Expedia issue than a hotel issue
Great stay
Great hotel. Very clean and comfortable. The indoor pool was heated and great for kids and adults alike. Professional staff.
Great facilities and service
The staff was great! We received great customer service, accommodated our requests, and kept the room clean.
Beautiful hotel, staff were great and everything was very clean. Check in was seamless. Restaurant staff were very stuck up
A SF gem
My favorite hotel in SF. Clean, comfortable, quiet, excellent amenities.
We received $25 dollars coupon on breakfast
Wonderful hotel right near Union Sq.
I booked a different hotel first, but after my first night there, I decided to switch hotels and came to Nikko. Best decision ever! It's a wonderful hotel, the room was spacious and had enough storage room so that I could take my stuff out of the luggage and use everything conveniently. Everything was spot clean, soft plush towels, great fitness center and a wonderful (though pretty expensive) breakfast.
The hotel itself is nice and the people working here provide great service, but the area around it has deteriorated and doesn’t feel safe. The hotel lobby is one floor up from the entrance. During the daytime, there is a security guard outside and there are escalators which you can take up to the reception area. At night, there’s no guard and you have to let yourself into the hotel with your hotel key. The escalators are also blocked off at night, so your only option is to get into the elevators and use your hotel key to go upstairs. One night my husband and I were followed into the hotel and all the way up to our floor by an intoxicated individual from the street who proceeded to wander around and not enter a room - pretty sure his intent was to rob us. I would never stay here alone as a woman and probably wouldn’t stay here again, period, unless the area were to improve.
It's nice
Nice hotel
I enjoyed my stay here. Location is perfect and staff was great.
The hotel didn’t recognize my Expedia gold status. Insisted that I show them my account upon arrival. At checkout, I have to ask again to get the 25 dollars credit to be deducted. Also the wifi in the property is terrible. I had to change rooms and they throw me into a much smaller room due to the noise and smoke smell.
Stay was good. Comfy bed and room and good view
Very nice! clean. staff was all great!
Very nice location and hotel was great! One down side was that the pool always had screaming kids there... We were there until 10 pm and the kids were there until closing time... There's an adult only time I think but it's super early in the evening and then the kids come back again... I would suggest to have the adult time 9-10 pm so that adults can relax as it's pretty late already. Overall, it was a nice hotel experience!
A nice place
I spent four nights there with my 9-year-old last week. Very friendly staff and up-to-date amenities. The restaurant offers breakfast that includes many Asian options, which is great! My son said he felt sad when we were checking out. Definitely will choose this hotel again.
Hotel Nikko is an exceptional property in San Francisco. It is beautiful, clean as can be, the rooms are gorgeous and luxurious, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. It is a very convenient location for anything you want to do in town. The amenities here are better than other nearby hotels. Lots of parking options nearby as well as on site. We will definitely stay here again.
I loved staying here. I felt safe and cared for!
Loved it!
The staff at Hotel Nikko were so friendly and welcoming. Hotel is beautiful overall and the room we stayed in was clean and bright. I’d definitely stay there again.
Great customer service and very nice facilities.
excellent!!
My wife and I stayed at Hotel Nikko San Francisco for a four-day holiday, and our experience was exceptional from start to finish. The service was outstanding, beginning with check-in and continuing seamlessly through check-out. The staff was incredibly polite, helpful, and friendly, making our stay even more enjoyable. The hotel’s common areas and our room were impeccably clean, giving the impression of a newly built property. The pool was a highlight—pristine and relaxing, with a stunning glass ceiling that allowed us to enjoy the sunny San Francisco sky while swimming. While the breakfast was slightly pricey for what was offered, this was a minor drawback in an otherwise fantastic experience. We highly recommend Hotel Nikko, especially for couples on their honeymoon. It truly delivers a five-star experience at a four-star price. Without a doubt, we will be returning!
The staff were amazing! The room was super clean and the hotel was great overall!
Good
Liked the big fitness center. Convenient to BART. Sketchy neighborhood
Great service
Excellent hotel. Good location, food and service.
Lovely peaceful japanese themed decor
Was clean, staff was friendly, room was modern and spacious, bed was comfy, very convenient location!
Solid option for a stay in the city
Stayed two nights, mostly working so didn't get to use the pool or spend time in the restaurant, but the highlight of this hotel has to be the service. The entire team was friendly, engaged, and professional. I interacted with daytime front desk, overnight front desk, the team at ground floor handling bags and greeting guests, and team members bringing food (ordered to room), etc. and had consistently positive experiences. Courtesy water provided with refillable, recyclable bottles. My booking came with food/beverage credit. Room was clean. I appreciate the focus on dog parents and making them feel welcome but also the other things they have like their resident dog and having a shelter donation option via the stuffed animal in the room. Hotel is in a convenient location - was easy for me to catch the trains in the morning and walk around to restaurants and other parts of town. Would stay again.
I liked the pool and spa area
Nice
The staff at Hotel Nikko were so nice and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent and service in the restaurant was amazing! Everyone was so attentive.
Fees
No microwave no bar to use until 5pm so you are forced to use room service Also this property charges a $40 Amenity fee daily but lacks amenities
Great hotel. Love the property and amenities. The gym and pool are awesome. They have a sauna and steam room that are well maintained. I always stay here when I visit SF
Just fine
Fine, just a but tired in places.
Every one was very friendly and helpful
Good
We stayed in one of the club rooms which included breakfast buffet. The staff and service were exceptional from valet, check-in, restaurant, to maid service. The breakfast buffet, the in-room and desserts we had were great. It is within 5 min walking distance to Union Square and shopping, and about 15 min to China Town. Con: unfortunately due to the current state of SF Downtown, lot of near by shops were permanently closed, or closed for the day by 6pm.
$42.00 breakfast buffet seemed a little pricey.
Close proximity to everything
Great place to be!
Excellent service, beautiful hotel, and great location. Short walk to Moscone Center.
The Hotel was nice.
The gentleman who checked me in at the front desk, was extremely friendly and went above and beyond. The property was beautiful as well as the spa and indoor swimming pool. The gym was very modern and very user-friendly. I opted for a room upgrade in which the luxury features were well worth it. This boutique hotel was excellent and I recommend everyone to stay there, one of the best in the area! I’ve already booked to stay again in January
Pool is amazing, good restaurant and very friendly staff
Excellent service.
Ok hotel, staff is friendly but…
Our stay started out good. We went as a family during our son’s winter break. The room seemed clean until we tried to use the remote the night we checked in, it was filthy with food and gunk stuck between buttons. We used the shower cap to cover it and use it. The second and most bothersome part was when the alarm went off at 6am, it woke us all (and we had plans to sleep in), we turned it off and went back to bed, until it went off again at 6:30. We could not get back to sleep. At check out I told the front desk and showed them the pictures of the remote and they told me to email that to them. I did and got no response. The lack of sleep almost ruined our day as we were all tired from our late night and not being able to sleep in. What bothers me the most is their lack of communication after I emailed them pictures and what happened.
Loved this hotel nice staff, close to everything.
One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. The staff was extremely friendly, the room was clean and had a good set up with a wonderful view of SF. The location has a lot of restaurants and shopping plus it’s near the cable cars. We took a city tour and the pick up is across from the hotel. They have an indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, exercise facility. I will definitely stay here every time I’m in SF.
Overall great experience. Staff in the hotel responsive to make stay comfortable.
Great room
Nice place. Very clean and great amenities in the room
Beautiful high rise in the heart of SF, well maintained. Excellent staff . Near several playhouses if thats your objective. Neighborhood is fine except for west and south toward Market Street. Head more north and toward Union Square for food fun etc
The location is very convenient for any type of transportation. Ballet parking is very expensive.
Caters to furry family members
Great location and super dog friendly.
Excellent Hotel
Best Hotel to stay at in San Francisco. Everything is top notch. Never received our credit for $25 food dining.
Would visit again
Everything was great except for the homeless people around the hotel.
Hotel was nice, clean. People at registration were nice, however concierge didn’t answer our questions and kept going off on a tangent. We asked a specific question and she kept talking, not listening. Very frustrating so we just figured it out on our own. First towel change was awful, there was a dirty towel with a big brown stain and my husband almost stepped in a needle which he found on the bathroom floor! Problem was solved by taking off $45 off one room (we had two) and a late check out on one room (we had two rooms) There didn’t seem to be communication between front desk and manager, as this wasn’t set up or notified that only one room had these accommodations. Buffet could also use some work. Our kind size bed room with a view had a view…of the top of the buildings below us, and not a view of the city. Overall I’d say it was ok, but not what I expected from a luxury hotel.
Superior staff. Neighborhood sketchy at night
Staff was amazing, beds were very comfy. Room service was quick. Neighborhood is great during the day. Be careful walking around at night. Restaurant was closed.
Helpful staff, beautiful decor, great location, good prices
A Sublime Experience at Hotel Nikko San Francisco Our stay at Hotel Nikko in San Francisco was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in a sense of calm and luxury that made this trip unforgettable. Hotel Nikko seamlessly combines understated elegance with the vibrant energy of the city, making it the perfect choice for both relaxation and exploration. The service throughout our stay was impeccable. Every staff member we encountered—from the front desk to the concierge—was incredibly professional, kind, and attentive without being intrusive. They struck the perfect balance of providing excellent service while maintaining a quiet, respectful atmosphere that allowed us to truly unwind. The staff’s attention to detail was remarkable, and they went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed, making our experience all the more special. One of the standout features of Hotel Nikko is its stunning East Asian-inspired decor. The serene, minimalist aesthetic throughout the hotel is truly a feast for the eyes. The rich wooden accents, beautiful stonework, and thoughtful design elements create an atmosphere that is both tranquil and sophisticated. The lobby is a particularly beautiful space, with a blend of modern luxury and classic Eastern motifs that set the tone for the rest of the property. We were fortunate to stay on the Imperial Club floor, and our room was nothing short of sublime.
Great hotel with expansive lobby and spacious rooms. Attentive staff.
We arrived at 12pm (3pm standard check in).. I called the night before requesting and early check in. I was told it would be $60, not a problem. When checking in the room was not yet ready, so the front desk staff called housekeeping to prioritize our room. We then took our bags downstairs to valet to check them and left to get lunch while we waited. At 130pm we came back, still not ready. We then waiting in the lobby for another hour. Not ready. At 3pm (standard check in) another staff member said it would be another 30mins. We were "upgraded" to a different suite on a lower floor around 345pm and got up to the room at 4pm. We missed reservations and did not start our trip off on a positive note. The multiple staff memebers we spoke to were all friendly enough but either lacked the authority required or experience in service. Transparency would have went a long way. Offer a drink, to wait in the private lounge that we already paid for access to, etc. We felt like more of a bother than a guest, in a 4 start hotel. We LOVED the valet team.. their attentiveness was superior. When we travel to SF we internally pay more for high end rooms in nicer hotels to guarentee the experience. The first impression at Hotel Nikko lasted 4 hours and was poor at best.
Beautiful hotel.
Excellent restaurant, pool, sauna, gym, steam room! Short walk to Neiman Marcus! Can’t wait to come back!
Great stay
Excellent hotel
Very nice pool area. Have steam, sauna, and hot tub. Great room condition.
A nice place to stay! With Pets!
They are pet-friendly MOSTLY, so this is why we had chosen Nikko. Overall, a great hotel. The beds, however, where WAY too soft... not supportive, at all. Other than that, a good experience.
The best hotel in SF
Hotel Nikko is our favorite hotel in San Francisco. We live close by and like to staycation here when we get the chance. The hospitality is superb and they have great amenities. Our children love the pool! The food a a bit expensive, but good quality. We stay here every chance we get.
Nice Hotel, decent location for what we required.
The stay was pleasant. Location was not bad relatively close to the Union Square and also other places we needed to go. It is quite far from the pier, but we knew this when we booked it. Room was a good size. It was close to some of the not so safe looking areas but when we walked around we did not notice it. Only on the last day when we were driving to the airport did we see it. The restaurant was really nice.
The staff and service was excellent, but the room was disgusting, the linen was stained and we left with bug bites all over.
It’s a wonderful place to stay
Great location, clean facility’s and the gym/pool/Steam shower was money!
This was our first time staying here, and we had a wonderful experience. Anlia at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming, which made our check-in smooth and easy. The property itself is well-maintained with excellent amenities that are all very clean. We also discovered Anzu Restaurant, which quickly became our favorite dining spot in San Francisco. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the area!”
Hotel Nikko San Francisco
Excellent service. Great hotel.
I love the staff that seem to love their job.
The staff was amazing. From the moment I pulled up to the moment I left, everyone that worked at the hotel was kind and helpful. I also loved that twice I saw hotel staff see something out of place, stop what they were doing and put it back in place. The staff really seemed to care.
Nikko is so great. Our go to for union square! There was a small mix up this time as they didn't have my Expedia reservation but the staff was able to work it out quickly, which was especially important since I had prepaid! They were also doing some plumbing work so the water was off from 11pm to 4am but I appreciated that they did it after hours and it really didn't affect us. I've probably stayed here about 10 times and I would definitely go back. Walking distance to everything downtown
Great location, friendly staff, felt safe. Beds are extremely comfortable!
The service at the hotel was excellent. Friendly, competent and prompt service was enjoyed by me and my entire family while at the hotel. I would gladly stay again.
nj
