Very tiny room, tiny bathroom, need renovation, very hard bedding, flat pillows, this hotel really needs some attention , no elevator.
Basic facilities. We had to rent a kettle, no fridge, not even a coffee or tea. Poor lighting and TV is difficult to operate. Tip: bed was hard but we took the thick spare blankets in the covered to put under the sheets which help somewhat. Not sure why hotels in this area like this command such a high price maybe it’s proximity to the Centrale.
Location and price are good. You get what you pay for. Staff are helpful. Facilities a little dated but functional. For the price was happy with my stay.
Its was simple but with everything you need, walking distance from the subway anda central station, and the best thing the caffeteria in the corner.
Lovely staff. Clean enough and fine for one night but I didn’t get much sleep as it was so noisy, both from guests in the hotel, and outside. Also very cold, the aircon/heater in the room didn’t work.
You get what you paid.
good stay, perfect choice
perfect location to access milan areas, definitely will rebook again.
Clean hotel with the amenities you need. Friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location, close to central station and an easy walk to restaurants, shopping and attractions.
Good value
This property is a great value but is small and dated. No elevator, mattresses are pretty thin. But great price for a somewhat convenient location.
A comfortable place in Milan
The hotel room is comfortable with air conditioning. The bathroom is a little small. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Just be aware there is no lift to get to the upper floors. It is conveniently positioned for the train station and close to a metro station too.
Well located, excellent service
Located a short walk to Centrale on a quiet street. Easy walks to either Metro or tram 1. Overall, a good place at a good price. Best thing were the staff. Very kind and friendly and helpful. Not on the "heart" everything, but if you want easy access to Centrale and transportation, it's a good place.
Close to Centrale
Basic, clean, safe, convenient. Friendly, helpful, multi lingual speak staff. Overnight stay, close to Centrale station (10min ez/safe walk), near by grocery stores....for dropby/one night rest/shower, if the price is right - would stay again. Thank you.
Great place for a short stay (1 or 2 nights) But I don't recommend it for long stays (3 nights or more). Room was very small, a few things seemed outdated like there was no TV and a raggedy heating system. However, the staff was very nice with holding our luggage all day while we toured after checkout and letting us charge our phone a bit in the lobby.
The was neither meant for infant or something like that
10 minutes walk from Milan Central station and 20 minutes walk from Duomo. Unfortunately there is no breakfast. Wi-fi was good. The staff was very friendly.
Hotel Nettuno
There was no elevator and I had to carry my luggage up three flights of stairs. The rooms were extremely thin so that you could hear the person next to you if they sneezed or coughed. I had to put a plug of paper in the door to my room to keep the door from rattling anytime someone entered a room in my hallway. The towels were line dried I think because they were very stiff and rough on the skin. The front desk people were exceptional and were very helpful in navigating the city. The location was close to the Metro and the train station with easy access to public transportation and shopping. Several good places to eat.
The property is near the train station via #2 to and from the train station. But remember to buy a ticket before you get in the bus. The property itself has no elevators which is difficult to navigate with luggage or after a long day. I cannot recommend this facility especially if you have any mobility issues. Wi-Fi was sketchy at best. Staff was great but property isn’t.
Excellent little hotel.
Amazing location, great staff! Nice and clean with much needed air con. Couldn’t fault it for a short stay.
Great price, good location, wonderful staff! Small room with all the essentials. Walking distance to a few subway stations and Milan central train station!
Hard to sleep
The reception did a good job.the mattress reminded my days at boot camp
It was convenient to the train station and clean. The afternoon manager gave me a restaurant suggestion that proved to be very good. The person at the desk in the morning was not helpful in arranging a taxi to the station. He said the fare would be 6 or 7 euros. The driver initially asked for 15 euro, got angry at the hotel person, and asked for 10 up front for the ride to go the short few blocks to the station. I had broken my ankle the day before - walking was not an option.
Excellent for only one star hotel, I’d recommend this place and it’s near the Milan train station.
The hotel seems disappointing at first sight , but it was ok for just having a place to sleep , it was clean , one of the staff was very rude with us but the lady there was very helpful and cheerful .. the location is very good
Walkable distance from Milan Central railway station as well as going to the Milan Duomo Cathedral and Vittorio Emmanuel Galleria (about 25 mins). The rooms are pretty basic, but of course you get what you pay for. For the price, for me it ‘s reasonable. And most of the time, we were out in Milan city center exploring, so we just really needed a bed and shower. When we checked in, it was 11 PM, but there was no problem at all. The lady in the check-in counter was nice, helpful, and pleasant, and gave directions about exploring Milan sights. The following morning, although they didn’t offer breakfast, there was a bakery/ coffeeshop very nearby (Bonifaco cafe), so we bought chocolate croissants and a nice coffee. Check out time, Avid was very helpful as well, and stored our luggages in a secured luggage room for free, as we still planned on exploring Milan main sights. Very early in the morning, we took the Metro subway at Lima station (walkable distance from Nettuno Hotel) about 4 Metro stops and we were right infront of the Duomo cathedral with its beautiful piazza with lots of friendly birds. Metro fare was 1.50 euro/ person. We went back to the hotel 3 PM in the afternoon to pick-up the luggages and walked back to Milano Centrale railway station for more travels (to Venice, Verona, etc). Anyways, if you’re looking for a place near Milano Centrale and the Duomo, and just needed a place to sleep and shower for a reasonable price, this is it. 😉👍
There was mosquitos the towels had lipstick and foundation on... surely washing would remove this. There was a very light blanket on night 2 i called 6 times no one at reception or answered any calls. The staff the female staff were lovely only one plug socket snd did not work. The nale staff were very rude.
Outdated, hard beds, but close to shops
The beds wew uncomfortable and that's a basic for a hotel... No view, but wasn't looking for it. The bathroom was in good condition, but everything outdated. No lift so prepare for a lot of stairs ;) Lovely staff on the reception. The nearby streets can get dark.., but it's close to shops and cafes. Good luck with parking if you rented a car .. ;)
Good location. Very clean. Good price. I would go back again.
I had a problem with my credit card, so I need to make a phone call, but from desk did not let me used their phone. I offer to pay for the call but they denied my request nor they did not helped find a place to make the call. No help from desk, very sad and disappointed.
This hotel is dark and dingy. The concierge was anything but friendly. While the room was clean, street noise was nonstop throughout the night. Likewise, one could easily hear people coming and going in all manner of loud. Location was fairly good, relative to shopping and sites, however, the hotel itself really is not worth the price.
The place was very convenient, easy to get access from central and also Lima subway station.
Great location, very safe area, 10 minutes walk to the train station, supermarket just around the corner. Only downside is there is no lift and the room heating is totally inadequate. We had the heater on full all night and we were still cold in the morning.
Better than I though
Was better than I expected
Perhaps my most horrible experience in terms of hotels in Europe. The staff very rude, not able to help at all. Internet connection very poor, i had to requested twice in order to changing bedsheets. i asked for an iron and they said its not possible, Very noise place and room was very tinny.
Friendly Hotel
Great location with friendly and helpful staff. Chiara was particularly pleasant to talk to.
Simple stay.
It's clean and staff are very polite. They changed towels everyday.
Good budget hotel in Milan
My experience was good. I stayed for 3 nights. Location was convenient to Stazzione Central and the Duomo if you don’t mind walking. It is also close to eating and shopping places. The metro (Lima station) is a block away. Single room is small but clean with air and private bathroom. WiFi worked perfectly. I was out all day, so I was there to shower and sleep. Staff are nice and helpful. The only downside is there is no lift so that can be a problem for someone with heavy luggage or bad knees. Other than that, the price I paid was reasonable and I will definitely stay here again.
Get what you pay for
The hotel is nothing special, and the price reflects that. The rooms were clean, and you get what's advertised. It is conveniently located, and well-priced. We would stay there again.
Bad customer service
At arrival not greeted by staffs and they tried to push and sell another room for extra. The staffs very rude and unhelpful when asked for direction.
Underwhelming.
There is no elevator, lugging your bags if you are unlucky to stay on a higher floor can be a challenge. The room was really strange, with steps all over - once in the room, I had to climb down 3 steps, long corridor, climb up three steps again to get to the beds. If you need to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, be sure to turn the light on, else you might have an accident. The bathroom was tiny. No water heater in the room to make your cup of coffee early in the morning. I would not stay here another time. Great location, though.
satisfaction inviting return
It's with great satisfaction that I checked out of the hotel. The only negative comment I have has to do with the small bathroom where I had great difficulty extending my arms when I had to while doing a shower.
Milan on a tight budget.
Travelling alone I suppose my experiences may be different to most. Having said that I would recommend this place as a perfect base for your stay in this superb city. As long as your ok with a laid back zone close enough to the major areas but with it's own special character. The Hotel is clean, relaxed and politely staffed. Must stay longer next time to get an even more fulfilling aspect of this benchmark for cool city. Thanks Nettuno and Milano l will most definitely return.
Hôtel near to métro station Lima
Thé wifi network is very bad beca use i lose thé connexion.
Basic..But Central To Everything
Basic hotel with basic facilities but in the heart of Milan If you want 5***** then good luck with the price,If you only want to use it as a base to shop, eat, sightsee ect then HIIGHLY RECOMMENED.
Clean and nice hotel :)
Great experience :)
The hotel is basic. The main advantage is location close to the railway station and main city sights. The room was rather dark and had a smoking smell. Staff was helpful and supportive
Nitpicking
The experience was outstanding except, just to nitpick, the internet wifi was really slow and it was quite a walk to Duomo (~30mins). It is however close to Milan Central Station for trains, airport shuttles, etc.
Great hotel for budget travellers
A good 1-star hotel. Room rate was reasonable. 10 - 15 minutes' walk from Central rail station. Room was clean but bed and pillow were very hard and not comfortable enough. Bad internet connection in room.
OK
The check in staff is Rude but the other staff are generally nice. The room is small but acceptable.
Good value for money, clean, good location, 3 minutes walk from main shopping street, 20 minutes to cathedral, less than 5 mins to Lima underground stop. Enjoy
Personal trip
It's value for the price, and well located just 10 minutes to the metro. Clean and cozy.
Two nights in Milan
Milan is expensive, so this fit the budget as close as possible. But I would not recommend it if you can avoid it. The lady at the front desk asked to keep our passports as she checked us in, which took half an hour. We were allowed in our rooms during that time but I don't understand why she needed to keep our passports. The area is fine; walking distance to train station and food nearby. I'm pretty sure I got bed bug bites from my trip to Italy and I can't say for sure but it might have been from this hotel. It was the only hotel where I didn't share a bed with my travel partner. Keep in mind the city tax!
Good value budget hotel with great location
The staff were friendly, and helped me with some documents I needed printed. There is a metro station nearby, and the hotel is close enough to the central station for someone to walk to the hotel. There are many restaurants and shopping areas near the hotel. The room itself was clean and sufficiently large. The shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water for three of us. Beds were comfortable. We had the hotel for a reasonable price, and were satisfied with the value.
You only get what you pay for
Good price just for sleep. The rooms are quite old.
Average
The location is very good: 10-15 mins walk from Centrale, 20-25 from downtown. Our room was poorly ventilated and had the smell of mould. The (hot) shower was hit-and-miss, which is disappointing for a place that charges €55/night. The Wi-Fi signal barely reaches the second floor. Would've been perfectly fine had it not been for the tepid water in the shower, which is a major inconvenience in the morning (before you head out) and in the evening when you get back.
Highly recommend !!
Comfortable stay. Staff was helpful. I got a good room. It was big and clean.
Reasonable hotel conveniently located
My sisters and I stayed only one night at the hotel and we have no complaints. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly, and the hotel is within walking distance from the central train station. Milan was only a stopover between Florence, Italy and Nice, France and the hotel served its purpose as a clean and safe room to stay the night in.
Weird ultra-spartan bathroom.
It was very clean, but there was no place to hang anything in the bathroom. No towel rack or knob for clothes. No soap dish in the shower. Nothing. I had to carry the soap into the shower and throw it across the room into the sink when I was done soaping, because there was no place to put it. Forget about shampoo and conditioner bottles. You couldn't even put them on the floor of the shower because the stall was so narrow you can't bend over. Also, there's no elevator, and the WiFi is very slow. Otherwise, the place is fine.
Good Hotel close to the station
we just needed a place to stay overnight to be able to get the bus to the airport next morning
Facilities: Horrible; Value: Average price; Service: Basic; Cleanliness: Grubby;
Awesome location super nice staff
Perfect place to explore Milan. Central location with convenient parking nearby.
OK for a short stay but . . .
Stayed here for one night and found the staff to be very friendly and warm. The room was nice enough but the bed was as hard as a rock.
Not bad for a one star
We stayed here for a few nights and found the place to be pleasant enough. The staff were helpful and polite. The room was nice and the hotel has plenty of food and shops near by. Most of the good stuff to see is quite close. A walk through a park and gram the tram.
Facilities: Shabby, Run-down, Bare minimum; Value: Unreasonable; Service: Sloppy, Bad, Awful; Cleanliness: Clean, smoking rooms only; no breakfast, no internet, no sunlight, poor service, no hotel services, hot shower, clean bathroom, everything smells like an ashtray.
Review
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean, lost of hot water. They sell coffee, drinks in the lobby. Overall, excellent location, clean room, friendly and helpful staff. Yes, I would stay again.
Overall Rating of Very Good
The room was adequate. Very clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Locations was good, small cafes are located nearby. Train station not very far, within walking distance. Good hot water. They sell drinks, coffe in lobby. Only down fall was WIFI not good up in room only the lobby. But vacations are for free time not wifi anyway. Would stay here again for sure.
Value hotel in very central location
Used this hotel for a business trip. Staff helpful. Room small and has minimal specification but was clean and in decent condition. Bathroom small, shower was just a little bit beyond cossy for me at 6' 2"! The bed was a little on the firm side. However, fantastic location and excellent value for money. I would say this is one of the best value hotels I have stayed in, it does the basics well.
Facilities: Bare minimum, bathtub did not discharge; Service: Basic;
Great location, everything you need
We stayed just overnight and didn't expected anything really exclusive. But we were surprised in a good way. It looks much better than in pictures :) Small double room, but still very comfy and has everything you need - even hairdryer and bidet in bathroom. Good location, clean, easy to find, nice service. They gave us city map and free wifi password.
Clean room
Only stayed a night and perfect for that, near the main station. Good restaurants/cafés nearby!
You get what you pay for
Don't expect 5 star luxury. Instead you get a room which has the basics, but is ideally located near Milano Centrale (5 min walk). As we only stayed one night, I can't fault the place.
Facilities: Tired; Value: Acceptable price; Service: Polite; Cleanliness: Clean;
fine hotel but beware of pickpockets in milan!!!
nice staff, not soundproofed so expect to hear everything that goes on in the other rooms, we stayed two nights and both nights were woke up at 3am by someone talking very loudly from what seemed to be the reception area. The doors need soundproofing and the hallways need carpeting to stop the noise. Apart from that it's a decent enough hotel with friendly staff. we used the metro to get around and it's a short walk from the hotel...nothing to do with the hotel but beware of the pickpockets, thieves, aggressive sellers of tack and beggars in Milan! I had my wife and daughter with me and had to have eyes in the back of my head! More Police needed to sort it out, shame because it's a beautiful city totally ruined by this. They target tourists and follow you around waiting to pounce BEWARE!
Facilities: Everyday; Value: Economical; Service: Friendly; Cleanliness: Pleasant;
Facilities: Good; Value: Fantastic; Service: Professional; Cleanliness: Delightful;
Basic
It had what you needed if you're looking on the cheap, but I would say the price should be slightly lower for what you pay for but I guess it's the location that sells it. The show is ridiculously small so if you're a big guy like me you may want to consider something bigger. However, it's safe, staff is helpful, and it's clean so it's enough for a layover stay.
Facilities: Old; Value: Excessive; Service: Sufficient, Polite; Cleanliness: Tidy, Clean;
Facilities: Good; Value: Fantastic; Service: Friendly; Cleanliness: Pleasant; Staff speak English which was helpful as not many others in Milan did!
Very nice hotel to stay in Milan
Nice, clean, not noizy, comfortable. There is everything you need in the hotel. I was traveling with my parents and our room was spacious and clean. Bathroom was clean as well, no bugs or anything like that. Location wise the hotel is perfect - both close to train station and the center (only a 15 mins walk). I would recommend this hotel.
Do not recommend
The location is fine if you want to be near the central train station. I found the hotel very poor in all, the reception is very poor presentation, the bed is very uncomfortable and hard, terrible pillows. It has no lift.
The hotel was easy to find with a map from the Information office in the Central Station. The neighborhood is much better if one walks straight out the Central Station and forward about three blocks. Then turn left on the street that is a cross street of the hotel. There is no lobby as such, but my room was very clean with a super bathroom. The staff was very helpful making a couple of copies from the internet. The only thing I would like to see changed would be the bed. It was a very hard bed. Good place for a reasonable price.
Decent hotel for the price and within walking distance of the train station and has an underground stop nearby. Room was clean, secure and had air con, shower etc
Good value and convenient
The hotel was easy to find, only a 10-15 minute walk from the main railway station. The staff on reception were polite and helpful, and seemed more than happy to give help and advice about Milan. The hotel is close to a Metro (Lima), and so the journey into the city centre was very quick. There were plenty of bakeries and shops within a few minutes of the hotel. Our room was on the ground floor, and it looked out into a courtyard, which could be quite noisy at times. But all in all, great value for money in such an expensive city
The worst matress and service I have ever seen!
The mattress sank in the middle. I've been poked more than once from a broken spring in the old mattress. I got up at 5 in the morning and felt like someone beat my back. The next day I told the front desk about it, but they said there was no extra mattress. It was terrible experience!
Great hotel find for Milan!
What a great location and wonderful hosts we found with Hotel Nettuno. The hotel was easy to find from the Central train station. We were able to roll our suitcases to and back from the hotel with no problems. When we arrived we had less than anhour before our schedules appointment to see DaVinci'a Last Supper painting downtown. The kind desk clerk let us leave our luggage in a downstaairs room until our return to check-in (officially) and gave us a map and directions to use the nearby metro to get to the church where the Last Supper is located. We did not return for a number of hours as this was our one and only night in Milan. The same clerk was on duty and he helped carry our luggage up the stairs a couple flights to our very comfortable and well-appointed room with a very nice private bath which even included a bidet. We had booked a room with two twin beds for some reason (perhaps it was the best deal at the time), but it all worked out great and we both got an excellent night's sleep before departing early the next morning for our train to Rome. Should we return to Milan we will be booking the Hotel Nettuno again, plus recommending it to our friends and relatives as this hotel's comfort and convenience exceeded our expectations and the staff was very efficient and friendly, plus they spoke English well!
Hotel Nettuno Review
Pretty much you get what you pay for. I was there for 5 nights, and just wanted a place where I could come in randomly throughout the day and sleep at night. Nothing great about the service, no breakfast, but people there to take your key at the front door. I had a personal bathroom with a hair dryer, which is a definite plus, considering some small hotels in Italy you have a shared bathroom with the rest of the floor. Bed was uncomfortable, but no real surprise, as most cheaper hotels do not have very comfortable beds. I speak Italian, and wanted a tv that worked so I could watch tv at night, and when I changed the channel to one where there was no reception, the tv often froze and lost signal. Don't know if this was a recurring problem in other rooms or not. This was my main annoyance. Anyway, if you're looking for a hotel experience, not the best place to go. But if you need a cheap place to sleep, it will work. Close to Corso Buenos Aires, along with several other hotels in the area.
il primo giorno molto calmo. Il secondo giorno, svegliato alle 3,30 da due clienti che aravano il terreno con le scarpe, parlavano ad alta voce, urlavano. 45 minuti di rumore
You may listen peoples talk from the next room. Considering the price, Otherwise OK.
Rent men gammalt.
Personale gentile, disponibile, 20 min a piedi in centro.
Struttura vicino alla stazione e con reception aperta H24. Personale molto gentile.
Accoglienza e disponibilità comoda per gli spostamenti

Hotel reminds me from the 90s,no elevator, old bed, every time you moved the metal frame created a noise, wooden walls, you can hear the alarm from the next room, wooden floors you can hear all the footsteps ,there are two peices of mattresses separated to each other, limited to 2 pillows, towels to be changed after 3days , no star rated for this hotel, overpriced for $150, no bfast, I recommend the hotel regio in Rome, it’s cheaper than Hotel Nettuno but you gonna experience the real hotel vibes, free full continental bfast, clean,it’s a real hotel
