The staff from checkin to checkout was friendly, efficient, and charming.

Lovely, historic hotel, close to the centre of the town. Room very comfortable. Friendly & efficient staff. Parking nearby, close to tourist information office.

The hotel is well located within the town but there is no parking. The rooms had a musty smell and are not well designed. No working air conditioning. Overall it’s ok but expensive for what it is.

Very beautiful place. Not a big chain hotel, but still proprietor owned. Looks like museum inside. Beautiful antic furniture. Definitely will stay again.

Museum like, art, antiques and amazing heritage furniture abound. Hospitality plus, comfortable bedding and beds, amazing breakfast buffet.

Beautiful historic building decorated with fantastic art. A real gem of a hotel. Rooms very well sized with large comfortable beds. Friendly staff and great location on town centre. Limited parking across road but large car park just down road. Very good value.

The most helpful people are in this place and extremely clean place

Magnificent decor. Super clean and friendly staff. They offer a breakfast buffet for a fee that worth the money. Great location to walk the entire town, santillana del Mar also close to the Caves of Altamira (Cuevas de Altamira). Lots of restaurants and small shops. It is a 10 of 10.

Property is lovely, very historical, the weather was hot for the area and no a/c or fan available.

Excellent staff and accommodations. Would return again, no doubt.

A step back in time

Cozy, atmospheric spot lovingly managed by third-generation family members, a short stroll from Santillana’s medieval core. Knowledgeable, helpful host, comfy rooms, and a wonderful sitting room full of antiques and memorabilia. Wifi a bit spotty, but functional. Highly recommended!

Charming, 'shabby chic'. We loved the not-very-good paintings, the clocks and the antiques. Tasteful ambience and lovely staff.

Visita a Cantabria

La estancia ha sido estupenda,el alojamiento muy bien en cuanto a instalaciones y limpieza,muy recomendable para ir en familia. Destacar al personal,concretamente a Beatriz,que además de dar una atención inmejorable,nos ha hecho de guía y el trato estupendo,destaca por su gran profesionalidad y mejor persona.

Charming lobby, helpful staff, small room, pricey.

Very warm reception from Fernando, who was very helpful in accomodating our requirements. He was also very knowledgeable about the local area and gave helpful suggestions. Very nice decor in communal areas. Good breakfast selection with good value a la carte options. Very well located in Santillana. Price of room was expensive given limited hotel facilities and relatively small sized family room. Balcony was only for looking out - not suitable for sitting. Simply decorated but clean rooms. Needs work on sound insulation - sound from other rooms highly audible, especially opening/closing of doors.

This is a family run hotel which makes their customers very welcome. The hotel team are very friendly and have sensible precautions in place for the current pandemic. The family room (with two double beds and a small balcony) and bathroom were very clean, the breakfast was excellent. We have stayed previously and we will be back again.

Antique town. Perfect time of year for visit-May.

Went to see Altimira Cave. Wanted walkable hotel. Great local Cantabrian gin drink mixed and elegantly presented at hotel bar. Nice dinner. Superb breakfast. Adequate slightly dated room with balcony and chirping birds. Staff exceedingly helpful. Easy for traveler using bus transportation.

Comfortable stay in and old house

Reception was prompt, cheerful, and professional. All staff spoke good or fair English-this is not always the case in northern Spain. Restaurant and bar staff took care with their work.

Excellent location very close to Old Town , very good breakfast

Very nice hotel in amazing location. The hotel was a Palace and has original features and amazing decoration.

I had been recommended to visit Santillana and we were not dissapointed. Reception was very enthusiastic and friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, will return.

I loved everything! Place is like a museum, filled up with old charm. Location is great! Nice friendly staff. We loved our stay. Looking forward to returning in the future.

Beautiful Decor and Warm Staff

PROS: Numerous! Lobby is gorgeous. Staff are extremely warm, friendly, and helpful and all seem to speak good English (if that’s important to you). Never tried the breakfast but it looked to have lots of choices. Hotel location is just a few minutes walk to a number of historic sites (car parking is literally right across from the hotel). CONS: It would have been convenient to have a small refrigerator in the room, but they allowed us to store perishables in the restaurant fridge so it was no big deal. Walls are a bit thin (I was woken in the middle of the night by snoring next door).

Delightful and courteous staff all around. Young man named Pedro went above and beyond in his willingnes to help us.

Charming historic hotel.

We enjoyed Cantabria area very much, and this hotel was a great location in interesting and beautiful village. Lots of nice common space in hotel, rooms very basic, and, at least in our room, chairs need an upgrade. Staff friendly and gave us great tips for touring to neighboring villages.

gem of a hotel

Absolutely delightful hotel. lots of history and character to the hotel. ideally located and had an excellent supper. room was more than comfortable. the owner of hotel and service was really what made our stay so enjoyable. lovely historical town to visit. highly recommend staying here

Old world hotel feel. We got a great value for money here. The room was clean and comfortable. Even though you are in the middle of town our room was quiet. Right in the main road to town with their own parking in front. Walk to town and restaurants.

Very spacious inside room and outside lounging spaces. Very friendly staff and helpful. Breakfast and dinner was delicious. Thank you to staff! We enjoyed our stay and thank you for making it special! ❤️

Interesting stay in an old building.

The hotel is interestingly furnished in the style of an old town house and contains many antiques, clocks and old paintings. Our room had a tiny balcony, with no chairs for sitting out, and had only a view of the hedge. Personally we were disappointed that the garden was quite small and outside chairs and tables were very close to the main road. During the week the road is relatively quiet but at the weekend it is noisy. Breakfast buffet is extensive and they were able to provide gluten free bread for me.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful village.

The main hotel is situated 2 minutes walk from the pedestrianised village centre. The rooms are well appointed and spacious with antique furnishings. Parking was opposite the hotel in reserved spaces though there is an overflow car park at the annex a little way up the road. The meal was good and gluten free bread was provided (we had forewarned them).

a nice, reasonably priced hotel

the hotel is an old brick building. our room was small, with antique like furnishing. It was very cozy looking. But AC did not really work. Breakfast was limited. But the dinner was good. It's nice enough for one night.

An old hotel in an interesting town.

This family run hotel provides the special service only available when the family is fully involved. The cleanliness of the whole hotel is maintained by a fleet of cleaning staff, (in immaculate white outfits) ensuring everywhere gleamed. The decor and numerous paintings and ornaments compliment the 18th century building. Although the dining room is attractive and the service good, the food did not quite match up and several dishes were rather salty. Breakfast was more than adequate but not special. Although on the main road through the town, the hotel is peaceful and quiet, and fully recommended, particularly for a short stay.

A Step back in Time

The hotel retains its charm from the days when the Infantes of the royal family stayed. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel. The dinner was wonderful especially the soup, the sopa estila montanes. The room featured a central open fireplace which was much appreciated on the cold and rainy evening we were there. The breakfast was hearty but not spectacular, a working class breakfast to begin the day. We regret that we were only there for the day as this would be a great location for an extended stay to rest and relax.

Hotel Los Infantes - ideal for Santillana visit

Although sited on the main road between the picturesque old village of Santillana - del- Mar and its newer extension, it offers a quiet friendly place to walk from and enjoy the remarkable buildings close at hand within the village. The rooms are moderate in size but very well-maintained and comfortable. The highlight of the hotel is its peaceful atmosphere and antique furnishings recalling the history of the family home. The breakfast is adequate and the restaurant quiet,but equal to many others within the village which are often more expensive.

Excellent location

Excellent location to walk into Santillana del Mar. Hotel decor is older, but service is friendly and the hotel is clear. Hotel owned parking is scarce, so in peak season you might have to park off site, but it's cheap and a few hundred metres away. Breakfast is good.
